The Force

The force is undisputedly one of the most mysterious things that is, over the millions of years it has been discovered, researched, dabbled with, mastered and forgotten, rediscovered and categorized in uncounted ways, layers, theories and teachings.

There are as many ways to see the Force as there are eyes and minds to see it, and still it's there, omnipresent and holding the universe together and seemingly guiding individuals like a higher power.

In this story, there are four individuals who are all sensitive to the force, maybe even sensitive enough to listen to what the Force does have to tell, and hell.. the force does have so many things to tell you...

Right here and now, tho.. 3 individuals will have to listen.

Jyn Rayder, Khelsea and Kalo Wolftenn simultaniously came to their senses, standing in the dressing area of a shower room of a starship they don't know, wearing grey uniforms that look much like Imperial officer uniforms. None of them went here on purpose, and each of them only remembers they either started to meditate or went to bed normally, when they suddenly got quite dizzy, but the time they realized that they were dizzy, it already has happened and they are here now. There are no other people in the room and there are also no weapons around.

What they will be able to gather is that the locker in front of them and the name plates on their uniforms bear their own Names.

Damn it sucks to be Jyn Rayder right now. That's what he told himself anyways. Whenever things were going good, things went bad. It was the way the Galaxy worked for him apparently. He was with not one but two Knights on Nemeira, a resort of a jedi enclave which in itself was awesome and fellow padawans to talk to including Nol Haal the Kel Dor. It was just another day, some more training, some more 'you'll never take me alive' play acting and slicing up trees as practice. Never chopping them down though. He had returned to his little room, ate some of the best food of his life, which by the way it seemed the buffet just got better and better, and then went to bed. He remembered having strange dreams, and now he was here.

When he came to his four senses, he was more disoriented than usual. He had no idea where he was, and his Force Sight was just as blurry as everything else right now. He could see hazy basic shapes but not much else. No color at all at this point. It would take a while to get his surroundings. He was wearing strange clothes, he could tell by the feel. They didn't flow right. Imperials, he thought. He didn't see the locker, or his name tag. Even worse, he realized someone had taken his headpicee, the band of fabric that covered his empty eye sockets typical of a Miraluka. It was a part of him. If they had damaged it in any way... He had to stay calm. Anger would get him nowhere. Especially against a Sith. Then he realized there were two others in the room he could see their Force Auras, the one thing every Miraluka could see regardless. "Can one of you explain the situation to me? As you can see I'm, visually impaired. Where are we?"

"You're a figment of a poor Captain's wasted imagination." a voice muttered back. Kalo was laying on his back with his hand on his head. It had been a long night and maybe he'd had a lot more to drink than he thought he had. His hair was unbound, blonde and messy, and the uniform was unlike anything he was used to. He sat up and took a look around, squinting at the unconscious person on the ground before looking back at the Miraluka with unease.

"You know you don't have eyes, right mate? Because if you don't, then I think someone might be here collecting our organs, and I can tell my liver isn't doing it's job." he said as he fumbled around the pockets of his uniform and looked through the locker labeled with his name. "Either that or I drank so much that I knocked myself into another reality. Never done that before but with the way I roll, it wouldn't surprise me."

At this point, the entrance door opened with the much too familiar hydraulic hiss and a young woman in a junior officer's uniform enters the room, her red glowing eyes kept steady on her pad, from the slightly darker hue of her blue cheeks with the brighter blue freckles she knew where she walked in and spoke up "Captain, Lieutenant, she could only mean Kalo and Jyn, since there was no one else in the room You are requested on the Bridge.." and then her eyes went up to the two and widened in surprise. Her eyes quickly narrowed while she slammed her hand against the button to close the door she just went in and still spoke a little more silent, but urgent "You are not supposed to be here. Ho.. ho.. how did you manage to get into my vision in the first place?"

"Luckily for you sweetheart, I can guarantee I am no mere vision." Kalo said flirtatiously as the Chiss woman addressed the two. He fiddled with his nametag and squinted to try and read hers."Would you mind telling me why we're on this ship, dressed as Imperial crewmen, and why my quiet friend here has no eyeballs?"

Jyn turned to the man with a bit of a drawl in his voice. One advantage to being blind was better hearing. "Excuse me? Guy with no eyeballs does have ears! And trust, me if you knew me you'd know I'm not quiet, especially when so,done interrupts a peaceful sleep. Kinda like this!" Jyn was grumpy right now for a multitude of reasons. He couldn't see much in his groggy state, and didn't really care for details, but he could tell he was in a uniform, which the other man cleared up, and that his headpiece was gone. Two bad things. "Care to explain, Chiss lady?"

The Chiss' nameplate wrote 'Taruna Eskarian', in basic letters and unlike Kalos still looking squeaky clean, as her whole uniform and boots did. Clear signs of not having this uniform for long, also the ponytail was the only different mark on her right now, since 'normal' imperials are not allowed to have these.

"I would be happy to explain" Taruna answered, a little daunted "But to be completely blunt, I have no clue. I am aware you are not visions, but the whole rest here is." she moved to the locker behind the Miraluka, conveniently having his name on it and took a headpiece out of it to place it in Jyn's hand "These visions I actually have since I started my Padawan training and opened myself more to the force. They are usually like different alternatives, but with some sort of meaning. I am not even sure if death here would affect me in reality, or what the message the force sends me with these is." she sighted "And I for sure never had visitors."

Jyn snatched the headpiece from the Chiss girl, tryin ion, but only for a second. The cloth was irritating and I'll fitting, clearly made by a non-Miraluka. Instead, he removes his socks and ripped them to make a makeshift headpiece that was softer than the one he was provided. He was glad his feet didn't stink like some people's did. He listened to her, trying to make sense of what she was saying. "Wait, so this has happened to you before? Jeez, why'd you bring us into it? Nah, just kidding, I'm a little confused right now." He was in a better mood now, knowing that it was all a vision, which meant somewhere he was fast asleep with his normal headpiece on Nemeira. "I'm Jyn, Jyn Rayder. A Miraluka." He said in the general direction of the Chiss but emphasized his last words in response to the other who was with him. "So what is it we're supposed to do in this, er, vision?"

While the two Jedi talked, Kalo unbuttoned his Imperial Uniform and took the uncomfortable undershirt off, stowing it in his locker and putting the jacket back on, leaving it hanging open loosely, with the collar up. "Well, if this is all a big hallucination, maybe everything will just end after awhile?" he suggested as he adjusted his gloves. "How do these things normally end with you? Because I had plans to go on a big vacation soon, and I'm not really in the mood to die in someone's dream about me and Eyeballs over here." Kalo also spoke in the direction of Taruna, but emphasized the nickname at Jyn with a teasing smile.

He had decided to withhold his own name. He'd already announced that he was a Captain, and maybe that would be enough for them. He casually took his nametag off and slipped it into his pocket, discreetly while faking a yawn.

Taruna watched them both re-configuring their dresses and was unable to speak for a few moments even after they were done. The Miraluka looked like a beggar, not like a XO and the Captain like a cadet out of a party marathon. She sighted "I'm pretty sure you are supposed to be the Captain and XO of the ship. This.. uh.. modifications could make things pretty tough." she quickly added "Not that I do not respect your preferences and personal traits, but I think things would be much easier if we blend in instead of sticking out, at least until we know why -you- two are here."

Her voice was hopefully clear that she only would mention this once, and if the two would disagree she would not even attempt a second try. If they wanted this, this would be how they rolled. Maybe it was even part of the grant plan of this vision, but she did not really believe that.

"Also, you are both needed on the Bridge by a Inquisitor" she added a little daunted "And I really have no clue what he is or what he stands for"

Kalo fixed his collar and rebuttoned his jacket, grabbing a cap and tucking all of his hair into it. "The lady has a point I guess. The crew will just have to ask nicely if they want to see my flawless physique up close." he joked, turning around to inspect himself in a mirror before approaching the door. He paused and looked back at Taruna.

"I have absolutely no idea where I am going."

Jyn sighed, maybe having socks around your head wasn't a good idea to blend in. He put the socks back on, but still didn't put on the scrap of cloth that he was supposed to wear from the locker. Instead he put a cap on and brushed his hair down as far as possible, managing to cover up his eye sockets to look decent. Not that he was one to worry about looks. There were a lot of things he hated due to his blindness. He hated water, that was number 1 on the list. He hated when people stared at him, to him it felt like bragging in a way. And another thing he hated was mirrors, it was literally the only thing he couldn't see no matter how hard he tried. Therefore he didn't bother trying to see the one in the room.

He turned his head towards the others, which really he could only see their auras in the Force but it added to the impression that he could see. "So, imI'm the XO, and he's the Captain, what does that make you? Oh, and I didn't catch your name." Turning to the Captain he said "Oh, and don't call me eyeballs ever again, or I might just stage a mutiny." It was a jke for the most part, but a threat all the same.

Of course, they're in it the first time, Taruna thought and realized she could not expect them to know the few things she already figured out on her own. Taruna took a deep breath, pressing the PAD onto her chest with both arms crossed before it and listened in to their questions. They were surprisingly bright and it could be some actual help figuring this one out. Also, the captain had some impressive self-confidence, and even the Miraluka, although a little broody was not starting to yell and try to get out. There was hope.

"I'm Taruna and apparently a Junior officer which they call ensign here" she started and gestured them them to follow her, as she was going to lead them to the bridge. She herself did not read any maps of the ship, she did not even know what type it was. But she quickly learned to just move as if she knew the way and her body would take the lead. She was sure the other two would also find that out on the way. And since there was some way to cover, she decided to go a little further "I know it's tempting, but please try to blend in until we find out what message the Force does have in store for.. us three."

"If you don't mind me asking, what do you think the Force wants with us?" he asked skeptically. "I mean, considering Eyeballs can sense us, I'm sure he's got some connection. And you're having these visions, so you're bound to be sensitive somehow. But I've never done anything like this. If it weren't so realistic, I'd wager that it was a dream. Wouldn't be the first time I dreamed of pretty blue women in uniform, but there's usually way more." he rambled as he walked. Normally he had a filter for some of these thoughts, but he was having a hard time keeping his comments internalized. Maybe he was nervous. That would be a new feeling.

Jyn was already irritated with this man. The Chiss lady was fine and seemed helpful, but whoever this was, he was getting on Jyn's last nerve. "Ok then big guy, I see you can't take a blind guy seriously, huh? I'll change that." Without a moment's hesitation, Jyn used a push of the Force to knock the captain off his feet and pounced on him. Jyn rarely fought hand to hand as he much fathered Lightsaber to lightsaber, but he didn't want to kill anyone. He still wasn't sure if you could die in one of these visions. He ignored any protests from the Chiss lady as he continued to throw punches at the man under him.

Raising an eyebrow, the young Chiss was about to answer to the Captain's strange idea of dreams, something she certainly was not willing to hear more from, as the Miraluka suddenly jumped at the Captain.

Well, this was a surprising turn of events.

Somehow, the force seemed to have a knack to bring people in Taruna's life who seemed to have more interest in beating each other then doing useful ways of bonding. She quickly looked around and found the hallway strangely void of any guards. They actually acted like this was normal between them two, as it seemed. Keeping her hand close to the shock baton she.. lent a few moments before she entered the back and hidden in her waistband on her back she decided to at least give them a warning "Guys, this won't end before we got whatever message the Force does have for us, and with one of you being in Jail we will be stuck here quite a while"

Kalo probably had the upper hand when it came to hand to hand combat, but the force push had caught him off guard. Taking a few hits to the face before gathering his wits, he dropped into a guard position and took a few swings of his own at the Miraluka's jaw. Meanwhile, he locked his legs around his Jyn's back to pull him down, and grappled the blind man into a chokehold.

"You've got some real demons in you!" Kalo laughed with a devilish grin, completely oblivious to how dangerous their situation was. His lip was bleeding from Jyn's initial attack. "Aren't you force lovers supposed to be the turn-the-other-cheek types?"

Jyn managed to land a hit or to before Kalo got the blind man off him and tried throwing some punches of his own. Jyn was agile and balanced, a reason he practiced Malashi besides more brutal Forms like Ataru. Jyn panicked momentarily as his oxygen supply was cut off from Kalo's hands. Kalo was laughing at him, which only fueled Jyn's rage. Normally he'd limit himself, and usually he was the one making jokes at his own expense, but when others did it he became irritated quickly. Thinking quickly, he used a trick his father had taught him during his smuggling career. He had learned to always twist free at the thumbs, the weakest point in a hand. He managed to get air in his system again, which in turn gave him the strength to push Kalo off with the help of the Force.

Turning to the man, while holding his arms up in defense now, he was trying to lureKalo in. He was using Makashi in a bare handed fashion. He hadn't tried it before, but they were principles of combat, not neccessarily for Lightsabers only. In reference to what Kalo said, Jyn responded "Sometimes if you turn the other cheek you can't see the fist headed for your face." He motioned for Kalo to approach him, challenging him, trying to get a feel for who the man was combative wise. "Come on, tough guy, let's dance. What, are you afraid of getting pwned by a blind guy?"

Taruna rolled her eyes, which was quite subtle, since her eyes where a complete red color and most people would not even be able to notice that and sighted. She was torn in between to bash their heads against each other, a rather savage act and just yelling at them for their childish behaviour, but did neither. She as an Ensign -would- be punished for misconduct for sure, and being in the brig while those two did Foce-knows-what on the ship actually filled her with a deep feeling of upcoming dread and chaos, beelining to apocalypse and the end of the Galaxy.. at least this artificial one. So she had no choice but to wait for them to get their act together or until one of them knocked the other out.

Meanwhile, on the Bridge of the ISS Han Solo:

Right now, right here. Blinking and looking to the right, there was a short woman in what looked like a Imperial uniform looking up at Kenshin, with a slightly irritated look on her face. "Is.. uhm... everything alright?" she asked, her voice trembling by caution and a little bit of fear "As I said, the Captain and the XO are on their way..."

Looking down at himself, Kenshin would find himself wearing a Imperial uniform himself, but the colors differed greatly. While all others were wearing a dark grey uniform, his was black with golden borders, he felt a hat on his head and the weight of a blaster pistol on his right hip. The last thing he remembered, was trying to get some sleep, but he was right now not tired, nor did he feel out of place. Although this was certainly NOT his bed. It was the bridge of a super star destroyer, the Captain's seat to his right and the enormous windows showing him the front of the ship, being all black and shiny, the enormous armament being deliberately golden.

Kenshin looked about the room, keeping himself calm for right now. It felt like he had woken up, but yet it didn't. He could clearly remember laying down to fall asleep, but he had no idea how he got to where he was now. Everything in between of then and now was a bit of a mess and he couldn't untangle it. He decided instead to pay his full attention down to the woman before him. He could feel her words were filled with a bit of fear, he could tell that she was afraid of him. He kept silent for a moment, seeing if anyone else answered when no one did he looked down at her again. The looks of the ship would have screamed Imperial if the uniforms hadn't already done it, so he answered her question, the title Inquisitor didn't feel wrong to him and so he responded almost hearing the female wondering what would happen to her.

"No, I find myself growing more impatient with each moment that passes." He paused holding up his hand to stop her question he guessed was coming, "You have done your duty as you should have as an officer, it will be they who have to answer for this, not you."he finished in response to her as he strode up to the view port. The long lines and the color of the ship he could tell it was a Super Star Destroyer. He didn't quite know its name, in fact, he didn't even remember why he wanted the XO and Captain of the ship. In the truth, he never remembered even asking for them. With all eyes on him, he played his part as the Inquisitor. Kenshin just kept hoping that his memory would come flooding back, he didn't like that he couldn't remember how he got here. For now he crossed his hands in a near perfect Imperial officer way, and returned his gaze to the stars waiting to hear the hiss of the doors.
