If one wished to become a future Sith Warrior, and to defend himself on the battlefield, one needed to have an extremely good defense. The Lasat Warrior was well aware of this. That was why he was here, in the ancient world of Ziost in order to learn the two most useful defensive abilities one could have; tutaminis and force barrier. Each ability had its weak points. On one hand, tutaminis could only be used to absorb energy attacks and redirect it back at the opponent. On the other hand, force barrier could only defend; it could not deflect. If they were used together however, they could make someone extremely powerful.

The Lasat Warrior had been bold, having made a request to the Sith Lord, and Dark Council Member, Darth Maleficar, otherwise known as Sin'ryk to teach him this abilities. He would not have been surprised if he was punished, or if he did not accept such an invitation from an acolyte. Surprisingly, he had accepted the formal request from Zeb, and he was ready to learn as much as he could from the Arcanist of the Sith Order.

"Thank you for accepting my request my Lord. It is an honor to learn from someone like you." he stated, making sure to keep his sheer amount of arrogance in check when talking to Sin'ryk. To be honest, he did respect the man, and he was happy to learn from someone like him. The Lasat Acolyte awaited his response.

A request had been made of the High Arcanist, coming from the lips of a young Acolyte who's species he had never come across before. This was a request that Sin'ryk had been all too happy to answer, ever eager to spread the seeds from which the Sith will make their deadly harvest. Here, on the old heart of the first Empire, he would continue the role the ancients had prescribed for their order. Finding himself before the Acolyte, the Red Sith 'looked' at him; tendrils twitching, orange-golden eyes empty of sight. Did the Lasat expect to be punished for making this request? The High Arcanist was not petty like other Sith Lords, ever so eager to cultivate members for the Order. Eager to commence this lesson, he gave a smile as he spoke.

"It is mine to teach, the better to maintain our Order." He heard it in Zeb's voice, the arrogance that he struggled to keep from showing. That which permeates an individual's soul can never truly be hid from those who had the sight to see it. The Red Sith then cocked his head to the side, his eyebrow stalks raising in a manner than conveyed questioning; knowledge was best understood when questioning it. "Now tell me, what is it you know of the very things you seek to learn?"

Like the Red Sith, Zeb was also blind, albeit his left eye was the one that was blind. The Sith hopeful had not activated force sight. Zeb therefore extended his reach through usage of the force, his left and right eye growing in a green manner. He is also blind like me he thought, making a quick note and memorizing it in the very depths of his mind.

"As you wish my Lord. " he stated. A few seconds after speaking, Zeb realized that he was not knowledgable in the history of how tutanamis and force barrier were developed. Nevertheless, the two defensive abilities were widely used in the galaxy today, and stories bout what the abilities could to had reached his eyes. Fortunately for him, those stories were true.

"Force barrier is when someone uses the force to create a barrier in order to protect himself. Depending on the person's skill level, the barrier can be physical or not physical but invisible. Tutaminis on the other hand absorbs only energy based attacks such as blaster bolts and in rare cases, lightsabers. Moreoever, one can use the ability to redirect the attack back at the opponent with a counter. The energy used can also be used to replenish one's force reserves" he stated, the warrior hoping his answer was sufficient.
