Importing an image to signature/posts

Can someone explain to me why it won't let me import an image into my posts or signature? I attempt to copy and paste a url such as http://imgur.com/8uXziFw by clicking the image box above this text box, but when I do it shows me a small window with an x in the middle as if the link was broken when in fact the link is not broken. When someone else did this for me and I copy and pasted their BB code it worked, but I can't get it to work myself.

Hey there!

Actually, all you have to do is right click the image you've linked, and open it in its own tab. Like so:

Once you open the image into its own tab, then there's the image link you need.
i.e. this: http://i.imgur.com/8uXziFw.jpg

I don't get it.. I followed your instructions to a T and it still gives me the same problem.. yet when I copy and paste the link you just provided, it works with that link. I don't understand what's going on, lol.

Edit: Ah, so the issue is that the link doesn't identify it as a jpg... so I just need to type .jpg at the end. Really? lol
