Does it usually take a while for someone to look over your profile and approve it? I am applying to be in the Sith Imperium.

A profile itself doesn't require approval. However, you need to apply to the Imperium itself here, and then wait for a member of the Imperial Leadership (like myself or Rom) to approve you into the faction, and add you to the roster. It usually doesn't take very long.
