Imperial Peacekeeper Armor

The standard armor issued to all Peacekeepers of the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB). Aside from their original purpose as law enforcement officers, being a counterpart of the Sector Rangers, the peacekeepers have also evolved to Sith-hunters post Imperial schism. This is reflected by the addition of the cloaking device in order to avoid combat situations with Force-sensitives or hostile gangs until back-up arrives. It also has its uses during general investigative pursuits.

LEGALITY

Legal. All peacekeeper officers are issued a set of armor at the beginning of their commission and are allowed to modify them within reason.

INTENT

To give peacekeepers their own set of armor to use in case of PvP or general combat scenarios that more fits their role as law enforcement. This is a reskin of ISB Combat Armor made by @Malon.

Type and Coverage

Type: Medium

Coverage:
  • Head: Maroon plasteel helmet with a retractable visor.
  • Torso: Maroon plasteel chest vest.
  • Back: Maroon plasteel back plate (on the vest).
  • Upper Arms: Maroon plasteel shoulder plates emblazoned with the ISB insignia.
  • Lower Legs: Maroon durasteel-toed boots.

Functions

Function 1: Recording Device
  • The recorder, usually located in the helmet, is a device that records visual & audio content for up to 6 hours. It has to be (explicitly) activated by the user manually to be active. It is also to be integrated into the armor's HUD (if a HUD function(s) exist) and recording from it. This recorded data can be transferred to a data storage device or terminal as well after the desired content is captured. A small thumb sized data drive holds the data and can be removed, overwritten or replaced at the whim of the user.
Function 2: Personal Cloaking Device
  • A gauntlet function only acceptable for light or medium armor, portable cloaking devices are extremely useful for sneaks and, quite frankly, cowards who want to avoid a fight. They provide relatively complete invisibility from the naked eye at a distance of more than 10 meters by warping the light around them, but are quite useless under that range. However, one must move slowly, no faster than a walking speed, and cannot attack in any way, or the cloaking is ended, and it only lasts for about 30 seconds anyways. One's heat signature can still be detected easily. The device must be activated and deactivated by manually pushing a button located on gauntlet, and takes 3 seconds to become fully operational, a time in which one is immobile and can be injured or killed quite easily.
Function 3: Grapple Line
  • Grapple lines are capable of supporting the weight of 1-2 people and can launch up to ranges typically up to 15 meters away. Once no longer in use, they are detached from the launcher and left behind. While hand-held grapple guns are capable of auto-winching, armor or wrist mounted devices lack this ability. Grapple lines must be manually activated and controlled by a button or switch.
Function 4: Computer Spike
  • Computer spikes are used to forcibly decrypt or unlock computer terminals. Most civilian systems can be cracked in one posting round, while most military or hardened systems take two or more.
Function 5: Scout HUD
  • Contains a 4x magnifier and Compass.
