IMPERIAL DEFENSE FORCE ARMOR​

This armor is the standard issue piece of equipment given to the Imperial Defense Force. Made up largely of former members of local defense forces, this armor is what is donned when conflict is anticipated. It is quite similar to the trooper armor of past eras, but without some of the portions that evoke memories of past tyrannies. This armor is based off of designs of local planetary defense force armor and is produced on a large scale.

The plates are made of thick duraplast layered over an environmental suit that allows combatants to fight in a variety of situations. It is heavier and more protective than its assault corps counterpart due to altered needs. It comes standard with a belt and numerous pouches for storage of important equipment as well as a comlink built into the helmet. ​

LEGALITY​

This armor is property of the Imperial Military. Usage by those who are not members of the Imperial Military is illegal and will be punished accordingly.​

INTENT​

This is to flesh out the armor used by one of the branches of the Imperial Army. It is designed to provide a base set of armor for those wishing to serve within that branch. ​

Type and Coverage

Type: Heavy Armor

Coverage:

• Head: Full head duraplast helmet
• Torso: Full duraplast chest and abdomen plate
• Back: Full duraplast back plate
• Upper Arms: Duraplast shoulder and bicep piece
• Lower Arms: Duraplast bracers covering the forearms and tops of the hands
• Upper Legs: Duraplast plates over the groin and front/back thighs
• Lower Legs: Boots with duraplast shin plating

Functions​

Function 1: Filter

• Filters are bulky attachments to a helmet, or function as part of a mask, that filter out environmental contaminants such as smoke or most toxins. They are susceptible to caustic substances and damage.

Function 2: Environment Suit

• While it is not rated for extended exposure to extreme hazards, this body suit (when combined with an enclosed helmet) can protect the wearers body from the effects of environmental and weaponized toxins and similar hazards for up to 5 posting rounds.
