so are we supposed to wait for something to happen, or can we post our character preparing himself for battle, entering a briefing room, etc??

on the republic side I need to at least talk to the officers as you can see they are awhol right now... but short run, Im assuming this is the blockade one?

but a brief idea on the Rep is that we have the blockade there a system or two away... while engaged here the system desired is being bolstered and hunkering down.

the whole thing is to start to gain control over when and where fights happen.... which was a major problem the first administration had where there was a scramble to defend a planet after weapons started going off...

it was re-active, not proactive.

Will my major do anything in this? I guess there won't be much action for him in this battle since it is a space battle.

So I am clearly not sure if I should post, or not.

of the three... two would be mainly space for now. Tanaab could go ground soon, save for that planet is the second planet in the system, and were going to attempt to hold them back out at indar ( 8th planet in the system)

the other planet though looks ground heavy potentially may want to double check ( I iz filing out paperwork for closing on my house at the end of the week)

You'll be part of the boarding teams- the Interdictor is present, so let's try and steal it.

If either side needs people to NPC, I'd be happy to help.

and this is why Im glad 90% of our other blockades are towed asteroids... I mean.. you could steal a rock I guess if you really really wanted it....... lol

Im getting the main group for this picked out, figuring which fighter squadron I have here...

It's just horrid timing for me rl wise so Im forcing in as much time as I can.

Okay, then we can steal their regular ships. It might help if the ground troops look over our starfighters, dropships, and blastboats in the tech thread- those will be what you mainly use to deploy into Republic vessels.

I thought you said we were just going to fire them from the missile tubes?

if its the blockade? your sitting like a system away from the intended target in dead space so ground would be pretty much kept in standby unless they go trying to board things. though thats also the priority of the RSFC to keep that from happening at all costs.

if the blockade has to fall back and clears the path to the intended target then I believe Boli will have a thread for the Yag system ready to go. may want to double check there with him and see whats going on. as there may be more to that anyway.

All involved ground troops with each Hutt Armada/Battlegroup will be on station for enemy boarding purposes. You are not required to post until such an event though.

Yeah, the Hutt MO for troop deployment is drop pods, so we could do that too.

Yag'Dhul is still Hutt controlled, with Hutt forces there, so by all means we can move back. I picked a middle ground to start so nobody would be at a disadvantage.

oh I know I mean to say that planet side would be something once it's gotten too as that's sorta different placing. ( and a different thread I would assume ) which naturally would be run by someone different than the blockade group.

thats the aim of trying to hold this ground after all! try to make it easier to pick off a wayward system or at least buy time as things mobilize and deploy and do whatever.

so you have ground for possible boarding... ( again looks like pretty cool dogfights while our fighters try to take out boarding craft before they can get anywhere. And your fighters try to defend them... that just makes me giggle... It's sooooooooooooo old school x-wing games I LOVE it. )
