gank20killer202_zpsmhcezvvs.jpg
Faction: Independent
Rank: Bounty Hunter
Species: Gank/Cyborg
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Height: 1.83 Meters (6'0")
Weight: 86.18 Kilograms (190 lbs)

Force Sensitive: No
Description: Like most Gank, Ic'jit rarely removes his suit of high-tech battle armor. While wearing it, he is a faceless killer; clad from head to toe in protective plates, Ic'jit's armor is composed of lightweight, interlocking plasteel atop an underlay mesh of Verpine armorweave. The eyes of his battle-mask glow an icy blue, illuminated by the advanced HUD Ic'jit uses during his hunts. The dull luster of plasteel is broken up by blue painted panels, and the entire suit dulled by a thin coating of reflec. Dressed for battle, Ic'jit is a terrifying sight to behold, and as emotionless as the ice-colored light of his armor.

However, it is not because of its intimidating qualities that Ic'jit does not remove it; beneath his bio mask and the protective plates of his armor, there is little organic matter remaining and the suit is really the only thing keeping him alive. His entire lower torso is missing, replaced by cybernetics, along with his right arm and a majority of his organs. His right eye is instead a metal socket, glowing the same blue as his armor's lighting; in truth, the armor is as much a life-support system as it is a tool of battle, and numerous intravenous injections help to circulate his vital fluids. What little flesh remains is no more than scar tissue, Ic'jit's black fur long burned away to be replaced by roughly healed wounds interspersed by rough tufts of wiry hair. His face is a labyrinth of scars, worked and burned into the perpetual sneer that already qualifies as his species' most attractive quality. His voice is distorted by his cybernetics, resounding near-metallic and droid like in Galactic Basic. Like most Gank mercenaries, Ic'jit has an implant that allows him to communicate with other Gank and those with the technology without actually speaking.

- Attributes -
Strength - 7/10 - Gank are naturally strong creatures, with stocky, powerful shoulders attached to thickset, muscular arms. And so, as a species, they are easily capable of outmatching a conditioned human in unarmed combat and landing blows that shatter bone. This strength extends to Ic'jit's lower body as well, and he is able to leap over twice his own height, and fall five times that without suffering physical damage. Whether this is an ability granted as part of his species, or a result of his extensive augmentation, is unknown.
Dexterity -
6/10 - Despite his augmentations, Ic'jit is not particularly dexterous; while his cybernetics provide him steadier limbs, surer footing, and assisted aiming ability, his own dexterity is not above that of any other trained combatant. That said, he is a quick adversary, and a skilled climber, capable of navigating with relative stealth along treetops and rooftops in equal measure.
Constitution -
7/10 - Ic'jit is highly resilient to physical damage, and between his armor, his cybernetics, and what remains of his natural constitution, it is not unheard of for him to recover from several gunshots during a job with minimal medical aid. His cybernetics and hardy constitution also lend themselves to resisting the effects of radiation and exposure, at least in limited measure.
Intelligence -
5/10 - Ic'jit is not a learned individual, but knows enough to get by and learns at about the same pace as anyone else. He is a skilled technician, if only for the ability to repair his own implants should they become damaged, and has an admirable knowledge of warfare strategy and combat tactics. However, he has little care or knowledge of anything else.
Wisdom -
4/10 - Due to his somewhat feral species, Ic'jit's demeanor tends to have him behave on baser instincts; he does not feel an extreme empathy for others, nor does he care to, and will behave recklessly if he feels slighted in any way. While he shares the survival instinct of any predator, the truth is, Ic'jit does not fear death, and holds his personal code above both common sense and self preservation.
Charisma -
3/10 - Gank have a fearsome reputation across the galaxy as cold-blooded, ruthless killers, as evidenced by their nickname, and as such are universally reviled by generally every decent species in the galaxy. Coupled with the fact that Gank are almost never seen acting individually, and his tendency to speak in blunt truths and without concern for the opinions of others, Ic'jit seems to have nothing in the way of an 'attractive personality.' In addition to this, the fact he will rarely remove his bio mask to speak face to face with even his clients makes even basic conversation with fellow bounty hunters an ordeal they do not generally wish to experience.

- Skills and Abilities -
Skills
Melee Combat - Unlike most mercenaries, who prefer to eliminate their targets from a distance, Ic'jit prefers to get up close and kill his targets personally in armed or unarmed combat, using his superior strength and speed to overcome his opponents. He readily uses traditional weapons such as knives, swords, and spears and his well-trained martial skills over more advanced weaponry, seeing it as a far more honorable form of combat.
Ranged Combat - Despite his penchant for engaged combat, as a well-rounded warrior, Ic'jit understands the benefits of ranged combat when outnumbered or facing a superior opponent. He is a competent marksman with a variety of firearms, and is skilled with traditional thrown weapons such as javelins or shuriken.
Explosives Training - Ic'jit is familiar with several kinds of explosives, namely various grenades, mines, and demolition charges. While he does not often feel the need to use them in a hunt, they have proved their use time and again when he has walked into an ambush or needing to set one himself.
Repair - Due to his extensive modifications and the general distrust he receives from anyone outside of the criminal underworld, Ic'jit learned to repair many of both his body's and his armor's systems on his own. Due to the generally advanced nature of those systems, through time, necessity became a functional skill that he can apply to weapons modifications, starship repair, and other technical uses.

Medicine - Ic'jit has a basic knowledge of combat first aid for most humanoid species.

- Personality -
The Gank species is known across the galaxy for a bloodthirsty nature and no-qualms behavior that earns them the feared moniker 'Gank Killers.' In truth, Ic'jit is both remarkably similar and incredibly divergent from his people.

You see, the Gank are not all that different from Trandoshans in that they take part in a great Hunt throughout their lives, killing for status in the galaxy. However, unlike Trandoshans, they hunt not for worth in the afterlife, but for personal pleasure and status. They do not hunt only dangerous prey, no. Instead, their great tally is measured in the total lives that have sent before them.

Ic'jit still holds the Gank religion to his heart, but the betrayal that crippled his body has warped his beliefs into a very different aspect of the Hunt. He is still as cold and ruthless as his brethren, as devoted to the Hunt and the Kill as any Gank pack under the employ of the Hutt Cartel, and as dangerous as an angry Rancor let loose in an orphanage. So too is his Tally measured in the bodies he sends before him into the darkness. However, his are the bodies of other predators; those creatures who are deserving of death, who prey upon the weak and the innocent for self gain even though he despises weakness in all its forms.

Ic'jit hunts his prey with just as much ferocity and violence as any other Killer, but there is one resounding difference between he and his brethren; he took the Gank hunter's code, and added a single tenet. To kill only that which is worthy. Thus, he follows a strict code of honor that dictates who he may and may not kill. For most species, this is a refusal to harm children, unarmed adults, and the elderly, as well as pregnant women and the terminally ill, although Ic'jit will not hesitate to kill such targets if he is directly assaulted by them. Below is Ic'jit's Hunting Code.

  1. Hunting Worthy Game: For nearly all Gank, any other living thing is considered prey, including other Gank if they are not of the same pack. However, when he was betrayed by his own pack, Ic'jit's opinion of worthy changed; for him, prey must be able to kill him, must be of age (there's no sport in killing a child nor the elderly), and unweakened by diseases.
  2. Failing in the Hunt: The Hutts often use the threat of the relentless pursuit of Gank Killers to get their way, and with good reason; it is rare, if ever, that the Gank will allow a contract or command to go unfulfilled. Despite his hatred for his own people, Ic'jit shares this discipline; if he is given a contract, he will die before he allows it to go uncompleted.
  3. Claiming the Kill of another Hunter: Gank take great pride in their kills, and often collect trophies to mark important or noteworthy prey. To take credit for the work of another warrior is disrespectful, and often results in two members of a pack fighting to the death for the right to claim ownership of the death. Ic'jit feels the same pride in his own Hunt; if another completes his job, he will not take credit for it even at detriment to himself, and likewise, if another attempts to pass off Ic'jit's deeds as his own, he sees it as an affront punishable by death.
  4. Killing of One's Own: Gank packs are tight-knit groups, and their sole unifying factor. Thus, the killing of one's own pack intentionally is considered a great crime. This excludes self defense, or killing to settle a dispute or debt. Ic'jit shows unshakable loyalty to any he considers an ally, either by circumstance or by contract. Yet, if he is betrayed, offended, or otherwise threatened by those allies, he does not hesitate to turn on them.
  5. Killing from Shadows: Of the many species in the galaxy, the Gank Killers are least known for their subtlety. This is tied to their belief in claiming their kills; there is no rightful claim to a death if the deed cannot be proven, and a kill from stealth leaves no evidence to that claim. For Ic'jit, this tenet is still held, but not because of a need to flaunt his actions; it is because his prey has no chance to defend themselves, and shows no fairness in honorable sport. While he will use stealth to approach his target, Ic'jit refuses to kill his prey without them knowing that it was he who did so, revealing himself to them and offering them the chance to defend themselves. Mind you, removing "obstacles," such as guards can be done unseen, just as similarly as preventing a target's escape.
  6. Do not Harm the Innocent: To most Gank, this tenet applies only to their pack and their patron, but Ic'jit firmly believes that those who have done no harm should have no harm done to them. Often, this aligns strictly with his belief of hunting only worthy game, but if a Hunt begins to cause 'collateral damage,' he will rethink his strategy and try a different approach.
  7. Mercy: Gank Killers are renowned as merciless beasts, who kill any and all that they encounter on a hunt. However, Ic'jit added one tenet to the Code of the Hunt and that involves his view of mercy. Similar to the life debts of Trandoshans and Wookiees, he will offer mercy to an enemy if they have spared or saved his life in the past. He also shows great respect for superior hunters; if an enemy has hunted greater prey than he and survived, even if he bests them in combat, he will allow them the chance to live. If they attack him, he will kill them in self-defense, but that is their prerogative.

- Biography -

There are few, if any beyond themselves, that know what planet the feared mercenary species known as 'Gank Killers,' hail from. Many assume that it is somewhere in Hutt Space, given the sheer number of Gank warriors in the employ of the Cartels, but if this is true, no Gank will say. Not that any are willing to ask them, and even if they were, in truth, most Gank would not know.

Gank, like Trandoshans, are a species that rallies behind violence, and venerates the hunt and kill of prey at even a religious level. For these bloodthirsty hunters, there is no concept of family; there is only the Pack. When the Gank are born, they are grouped and trained with others of roughly their age into what they call an Unblooded Pack; individuals who have not had their first notable Hunt. They are not given names, as these would indicate individuality, which is a right not yet earned by the young warriors.

The bounty hunter known as Ic'jit U'darahje began life as a member of one of these packs, as all Gank do, residing on the homeworld of the Hutts, Nal Hutta. His pack was 'birthed,' into service of one of the Hutt Kajidics, and his entire childhood was spent training with an elder pack to embark upon his own Hunts in service to his patron. Grueling combat training, stalking, drilling...the list of skills and indoctrination beaten, quite literally, into the youth of the Gank is endless. Like most, he was taught to venerate the Hunt and the Kill, and by the time he came of age, he and his brethren were skilled warriors.

For many years, Ic'jit and his pack fought in service to the Hutt they were sworn to; bounty hunters who failed their master, slave girls who refused him, families who had looked at him funny; they all died on command before Ic'jit's pack. Never had Ic'jit ever doubted his peoples' ways for all those years he had given, and widows he had made.

But in every warrior's life, there comes a day that their life changes forever.

The job had been easy enough; infiltrate the party of one of his master's rivals on board a private yacht and kill him and all his guests to make an example of them. Simple, violent -- a mission any pack would dream of. Using their cybernetics, the pack silently communicated their plans as they moved through the ship. Ic'jit had been tasked with planting the explosives in the starship's engines to cripple it from escaping. An easy in and out job.

That was, until the bomb armed in his hands.

Ic'jit had been betrayed by his own pack; the plan had never been to infiltrate them all. Only a single one of them, carrying a high explosive charge to detonate the ship, killing all on board...including him. Ic'jit did what he could to contain it, throwing the charge into an escape pod in an attempt to scuttle it, but it was too late; it was only just off the bow when it detonated. The Gank warrior died that day.

Ic'jit was born.

Months later, Ic'jit awoke in a bacta tank with no knowledge of how he'd gotten there, and only the memory of his training and the betrayal in his mind. His body as it had been was gone; in its place, numerous prosthetics, implants, and cybernetics were grafted as replacement parts to make him whole again. Even as he felt the bacta slowly drain away, a medical droid pulled him from his tank, moving him into a modified suit of battle armor fitted with life support systems that plugged into sockets across his remaining flesh and began to pump his organs and fuel his organic pieces. A man revealed himself, explaining that he was a scientist from the Empire, and that Ic'jit was his weapon. For a moment, Ic'jit thought on that statement, but only a moment--

No longer would he be anyone's slave. As he escaped into the lower levels of Nar Shaddaa, stumbling into the street only to be avoided by every passerby he neared, Ic'jit eventually made his way back to the Hutt who had commanded him aboard the yacht so very long ago...

It is unclear what happened that day, only that by morning, the cobalt-colored armor Ic'jit wore was soaked in the blood of over a dozen species as he walked from his former master's palace. The Gank Killers of Nal Hutta began to refer to him as Ic'jit U'darahje in their tongue, roughly translated to 'Abominable Traitor,' in Galactic Basic. Perhaps because he held no other title, or as a slight to his former 'people,' Ic'jit used that name to claim his first bounty, and now, travels the galaxy as a gun for hire under the same.

Gank Heavy Battle Armor - Will need to do tech write-up

Gauntlet Knives - Ic'jit's signature weapons are a set of retractable, serrated blades 12 inches long and 2 inches wide that extend over the back of his hand from hidden sheathes inside his right gauntlet. These blades are made of razor-sharp, lightweight alloys, and have an inbuilt firing mechanism that can propel them as a short ranged distance weapon.
Net Launcher - Stowed in the left thigh of his armor, Ic'jit keeps a small, handheld net gun that can be used to ensnare or capture his prey. Firing a bundled net that expands rapidly upon leaving the barrel, the weapon is capable of hurling a target across a room, ideally pinning them to a nearby surface by the durasteel stakes attached at focals around the net's border.
