The Icehart Corporation was an economic empire that spanned across most of the Expansion Region. It had a small military, its size limited by Republic law and officially utilized for security purposes. The corporation held enough significance to house a representative on the Galactic Senate, which was often the president himself: Jhosua Icehart.
The beginnings of the corporation were rather modest, as a local delivery service that utilized street knowledge to quickly bring packages to clients. Jhosua began this small service after quitting his job as a crewman for a news station, to get the feel of operating a business. Soon, Jhosua expanded the service to compensate larger deliveries, and it eventually grew into a company. From there, things went to history: the Icehart Corporation emerged in a variety of fields, its original purpose clouded by a flurry of new goods and services. Icehart himself explained that he felt that the company was not profiting enough from its original work alone. Now, Icehart Corporation is one of the largest business names in the galaxy.Aside from marketing, Icehart has expanded into developing its own technologies and opened an intelligence network of its own. The Department of Research and Development, headed by the Director of Research and Development, have been charged with developing new equipment to sell for extra profit or to utilize exclusively by the Icehart Corporation to better provide its work to the galactic community. The Department of Intelligence, led by the Director of Intelligence, scout out different planets in the populated galaxy and learn about the needs of the common people, as well as uncover information about groups that could potentially stunt the growth of Icehart Corporation. Of course, the Department of Security and its respective director monitors the operation of the corporation for potential wrongdoing. Ranks within this department shows similarity to that of the Republic military. However, the commander-in-chief is the president, not the director.
The corporation gains most of its money though honest business work, its reach spanning across virtually all populated worlds besides Alsakan controlled planets. Employees of I.C. (as it has been often abbreviated) often are simply in the corporation for the money, which has been long understood by President Icehart. Its headquarters is based in Corellia.
As of late, Icehart Corporation has merged with Arc Corporation and Cyber Technologies to form the Corporate Confederation. From a grudge set by President Icehart himself, the corporation does not do business with the Alsakan Union, though they are not allied with the Galactic Republic. Icehart Corporation has been known to destroy its competitors through legal means, producing an air of hatred about it. The attempt on President Icehart's life is enough proof of that hatred. Even so, many work for Icehart in hopes of a better lifestyle.
Military strength
10,000 soldiers (restricted to security & escort)
1,000 soldiers (reserve forces)
200 military spacecraft - consisting of corvettes and freighters
Unknown assassin guild (secret black hand)
Military Craft
B-9 Fighter-Bomber
It does not face much use due to a lack of large pirate craft, but it is an effective craft against cruisers other large vessels. It includes two small rotation-capable blasters positioned at either end of the cockpit, used to combat fighter-specific craft, as well as another two in the rear, of equal capability as the forward blasters, for the same purpose. Its hull contains concussion bombs, numbering 30 in total. It allows a maximum crew of three: one to pilot and command forward guns, another as gunner in charge of the rear blasters, and a third as the navigator and blast bay operator.
Variants include the B-9 Transport, used to transport large numbers of personnel. It replaces the blast bay with lounging for its occupants.
F-24 All-Purpose Fighter
An all-purpose fighter craft that is effective against other fighter-sized ships. Despite being slightly dated (and a bit bulkier than other modern craft), it is still a reliable craft in terms of speed and firepower. It is capable of fighting with a one-man crew, though there is space for a second to act as an engineer to repair damages to the vessel. Its weapons include dual-slug cannons with substantial firing rate, at 2000 rounds per minute.
A variant of the F-24, the F-24 Reconnaissance Craft, is unarmed and lightly armored, but its sub-light speeds and superior radar systems allow for scouting. They are commonly deployed for defensive security and as forward scouts for important and vital Icehart convoys.
