The Toydarian flew around his now dead opponent, a Rodian punk from Ylesia. He chuckled "I think that was a record! 4 seconds, in my first match!" Anyone else up for a good ol' death match? He chuckled twice and set his pistol off of safety.

Chido was having a blast. He always enjoyed kicking back and watching the matches, sometimes even betting on them. Once he had bet his entire pay on a Bothan that was fighting a Wookie for the fun of it. It was good that he was so lucky, he went home with a small fortune.
The Rodian had passingly considered trying his luck at actually dueling, and today was the day he would jump in.

"Hey now, there aint no need for name calling. I was merely stating a fact, friend." Chido replied to the insult. "But if you are up for another round, I would love to fight you."
Walking into the ring, the Rodian pulled out his blaster rifle. The energy suppression field over the arena would render it non-lethal, but it would still pack quite a punch. He waited for the first move of his opponent.

Chido didn't expect the Toydarian to attack so soon, he caught himself offguard for the attack and dove aside to the right to avoid the shots. Rolling to his feet, the rodian shouldered the rifle, aimed, and fired, leading the target so that his opponent would fly into his shots. After the initial blast, chido started strafing right, firing in short bursts as he went.

The Toydarian attempted to dodge the shots but some he could not dodge. He took a blaster bolt to the left wing. He sank to the floor. He turned his pistol to rapid fire and aim directly at his opponent and fired three shots in his direction. Three to the right and three to the left. He had trapped his opponent in a cage of laser.

Excited that he had hit and done some damage, Chido continued firing for a moment more. The blaster bolts would be weakened by the field and would not cause any permanent damage, but he had taken away his opponent's main mode of transportation.
Then came the counter fire. The rodian was amazed at how fast his adversary was able to fire all 9 shots, such a fast draw. Chido dove forward and to the left to avoid the shots by moving under them. This tactic only partially worked, for one of the shots hit him in the shoulder as he dove. Rolling into a kneeling position, Chido fought the pain and shouldered his rifle. Again he fired at his opponent, this time also in full-auto. A hail of blaster bolts crossed the arena toward the Toydarian who was now restricted to using his short, thin legs, giving the Rodian the advantage of mobility.

The Toydarian could only think for about two seconds when his enemy had started his offense. He ducked down into a fetal position but his opponent was still firing. "The old spray and pray." he remarked he ducked down behind a cover wall. He tossed a flash bang over to confuse the Rodian and to stop the shooting. After the smoke had cleared the Toydarian began his attack. Charging his blaster to maximium power he dusted off three shots towards the Rodian.

The trandoshan/noghri hybrid sits where the Rodian was earlier, watching the fight, unimpressed by the two's horrific shooting style. He thinks about the firefights he's been involved in and is unimpressed by the lack of skill between the two combatants.

Chido ignored the spectator. The oppressive fire had been to corner his opponent and force him onto the defensive, it had only marginally worked. The rodian also dove behind cover and closed his eyes tight as the flashbang went off. The wall and closed eyes were effective in preventing most of the light damage. The noise, however, assaulted his ears, however, and left him slightly dazed as the charged shots passed through the space he had been in moments ago.
Chido took a moment to rest, deciding that the toydarian had not seen which cover wall he had taken refuge behind and that it was time to take advantage of his ability to see heat. The rodian began throwing smoke bombs, blanketing the arena in fog. Chido could still make out the heat signature of his opponent, giving him another advantage.

Breento attempted to fly away, But remembered his wing was injured. Instead he attempted to run towards the nearest cover wall to escape the smoke. Knowing that the Rodian would attempt to use a melee attack on him he drew his virbo-blade and turned on the blade. He glanced toward the trando-noghiri hybrid, and heard his comment about bad fighting. He though "Who taught you how to judge fighting, your slave/slaver parents." He laughed and reapeated his comment outload towards the spectator.

The large creature growls, then stands, drawing his modified bowcaster, and approaches the rail, ready to leap the guardrail should Breento continue his mockery.
"I should kill you for speaking ill of me, you pitiful excuse for a winged rodent. Injured your precious little wing did you? You pathetic scum."

The hybrid leaps the guardrail, firing fifteen bolts at the Toydarian, holding the trigger, firing five more. He then hits the ground, rolls, his hat falling off, as he draws both of his Mandalorian Heavy Pistols, firing a rapid volley. While unaimed, these shots are quite well placed, as if aimed for the Toydarian's injury
Now THAT'S shooting...

Lastly, while this is an open thread and I am always up for a good brawl, it is called DUEL for a reason... 2 combatants. I find it rude to intercede like you did. Please find a way to leave, if you want to duel afterward, that is ok. But please wait your turn. Also, there is a energy dampening field around the arena making most attacks nonlethal.))

Stalking through the smoke, the Rodian positioned himself so that he had a clear view of the heat signature of Breento, and fired 4 shots right at the toydarian.

Breento didnt know the shots were coming he was to distracted by the new enemy, he attempted to dodge the trando-noghiri bolts and succeeded and also dodged the Rodians shots. He heard the Rodian. he replied "Yeah if you want a fight the sign-up booth is near the entrance,not down here...what your bounty hunting parents didn't teach how to find a target very well did they!

The Hybrid sniffs, picking up the scents of the two combatants, and in any other circumstance, be able to track them anywhere. However, he found himself bored of the Toydarian, and annoyed by the Rodian.
"If you must know, I'm a tank-bred, you winged scum. And to be fair, Rodian, he insulted my honor, so I was going to exact my revenge. I appologize for interfering."
Gruusk picks up his hat and walks to the wall. He leaps up the sheer face, landing back in the stands

The shots boiled through the space Chido had been in when he shot at the toydarian, but the rodian had moved since then. The flashbang's effectiveness was also lessened, the smoke interrupting the light. Still using the smoke to his advantage, Chido silently flanked his opponent, knelt, took careful aim at the center of mass of the heat signature, and let off 4 shots. Not waiting to see if they landed, Chido began moving again.
