Here's how this works.
I am going to attempt to compile and maintain a listing of all significant events in the Roleplay (taken from anything that is posted in the Story forum).
The list will be organized alphabetically, by the planet it occurred on.
Anyone can then come to this thread, new members especially, and quickly look up what has happened on a planet.
This list will not represent the site's canon
The list is mostly for entertainment and storytelling opportunity purposes. Only events labelled as 'Main Story' would be things people have to know about. The rest can obviously be ignored. It isn't canon so you can just ignore it all as if it were 'Legends' material, to use an analogy.
Nobody will have to act differently in their RP because of what is posted here (even if this becomes a sticky thread, which is my hope..)
For example, as a new member, I was about to create a character who would serve as a Senator on a certain planet. I happened to mention this to a staff member, who kindly took the time to inform me that Mandalorians were about to take control of that planet. I could then rethink my decision.
How could I have been expected to know this, without an extensive search.
No doubt I would have made the character, wrote the back story, then been told upon posting the profile that 'x is not a Republic world anymore'.
It would've been great to have an A-Z reference to look up what's happening.
There are so many stories being told throughout the course of a timeline, as far as I can tell, that most members could not keep up with it all.
Not that we have to keep up or know what has happened on certain planets in other people's stories... But wouldn't it be nice to have a thread we could all go to, either to catch up on what's been happening or get inspiration for a story to write on a certain planet.
It would hopefuly also provide incentive for people to write stories that will change the galaxy, or at least a planet, because other members will see their stories and maybe use some/all of those details in their own plot.
My hope is that this thread will create a sense of interactivity with the larger galaxy, that any story can tie into another by someone just having a quick look at this thread.
At the very least it will be a useful reference point for people to see what is happening on a planet.

Most of all, if you would like to volunteer to help out by posting any story event on the upcoming 'Event Reference' thread, anything that you think could be important or useful to someone else, please let me know by posting here.
@Simonev has kindly offered to help already. We could use more than two people though (including myself.)
If you think there is an important event that should be listed, such as the Battle of Coruscant for example, please post it here.
Main story events would obviously have to be labelled as such, so people know these are not to be ignored.
For all events, Main Story or not part of main story...

I would then add the event to the list, organized by planet.
The next thread I post will be the 'Event Reference' thread itself. (Once this has received feedback and staff approval, of course.)
Unless somebody else wants to take this on, I will attempt to edit, maintain and do the necessary scouting of threads myself.

To be worth the time and effort, and for anyone to post on it and help keep it up to date, it needs to be seen by lots of members. (Although everyone's free to ignore it obviously.)
