Ambassador Jarvin

The Christophsian diplomat sighed as he loosened the collar on his suit. He turned towards his trustworthy advisor, Captain Stenson. "Sir," the Captain said with a slight pause, "The Shuttle is receiving it's final preparations we shall be ready to depart upon your order." Jarvin glanced towards his counterpart and gave a slight nod-motioning for the Captain to give the signal. "Right away Sir," the Captain said with a slight pause and hurried off towards the shuttlebay.

Jarvin's eyes glanced about the large decadent statues that lined the palace, what a waste, he thought to himself as strode towards the bay-hoping not to be bothered by the Hutts or their associates anymore. He grumbled as a lanky twi'lek feverishly made his way towards the diplomat, "Sir...The Hutt Cartel would like you to know that your time has been very valuable to us."

Jarvin narrowed his eyes, "It was an utter waist," he said scoffing towards the peon.

The twi'lek lowered his head for a moment as he began to rub the back of his neck, "Well... We would like you to know that we have assigned a security team to assist you on your way home-in case anything happens..."

Jarvin's mouth dropped a bit open, "You don't think that my personal guards would suffice," he said with a hint of anger in his voice.

The twi'lek raised his hands in a pleading motion, "No...no...no sir, I bet....I mean I know they are very talented. It's just standard protocol."

Jarvin continued to walk-making his way towards the hangar, "You're dismissed," he said darting his eyes back towards the twi'lek-who took the hint and hurried away. He made his way through the large bay doors-pausing to see his shuttle that would be taking him back to his homeworld-hopefully far from the Hutts. He noticed a series of droids loading up cargo into the shuttle, while Jarvin's personal guards stood near the entrance of the ship-monitoring the loading. The diplomat glanced towards his left to spot the Hutt security team, "You must be the filth hired to guard me, keep to yourselves and you will listen to me this whole flight-it should be a rather quiet ride."

Axe stood loaded for war, armor, rifle, pistols and a few sorted grenades just in case. He looked Jarvin up and down for a moment and then took a drag off his stub of a cigar then blew the smoke in the direction. "Lets clear this right up before we get off the ground, The Cartel is paying me to kill what ever gets in my way from getting you from this sand box to your port of harbor. I don't work for you and I damn sure don't take orders from you, thats there job", tilting his head toward the personal guards standing by the ship."Oh and I may be filth but I'll have you know it cost a lot of credits to look this cheap",Axe gave a smirk as he chambered his rifle for effect and took another drag.

Moving past the man before he could spout off more of his banter to make him feel as though he was befitting the title. Axe could careless for titles. He cared about credits and getting the job done. Titles and Ranks were things he left with the Empire. He eyed the personal guards as he tosses away the remanent of his sigar toward the side of the loading ramp and just at the feet of those men. Then closed and locked the hud/visor of his combat armor. "See to your Master ladies, We'll finish up out here".

Dag Corrino

Dag stood near the foot of the ship's entrance ramp. He glanced as one of his fellow affiliates began to badmouth the delegate-He sighed as he rolled his eyes under his helmet. He checked the ammo on his blaster-grunting in a satisfied tone. He glanced towards his two droid companions who stood eagerly awaiting for their mission to start. Dag took one step forward and gave a sharp nod towards the delegate-making sure his lightsaber trophy was in the man's line of sight. "Don't mind him," Dag barked as he shifted his eyes towards the other cartel member, "You won't even know we're here."

Ambassador Jarvin

Jarvin grunted in protest as one of the Cartel members began to belittle him in front of his own men. Some nerve he has thinking he can talk to me like that, Jarvin spat in his mind. He began to raise his finger to reprimand the man, but he had already departed for the ship. He growled in anger as he turned towards the remaining cartel member and his droids. Pausing as his eyes shifted nervously over the lightsaber clipped to the man's belt, "Yes...well just board the ship and leave me in peace, you vermin have already caused me enough trouble."-and with that the Delegate stormed onto the ship.

(OOC: Alright we're timeskipping onto the ship-on route to our destination. Feel free to go into detail about what you're doing on the ship. Note: don't write about us crashing that'll come next :) )

It had been just about an hour sense the ship left the spaceport. Axe was moving threw the ship checking out the crew and droids. Everyone has a price on Tatooine. There were no exceptions to this rule and Axe was living proof of that. Taking this job because the bounties were slow, in truth it wasn't the bounties more so it was those who delegated who gets what that was slow. So when the offer came for a quick security job Axe was quick to jump on it.

V.I.P work was usually boring, it rarely mattered who the asset was or who was giving the orders. However, training and experience told him. If something is going to happen nine times out of ten it was an inside job. So here he was checking credentials, droid systems and any unauthorized weapons. When he felt satisfied he sat across of the other Cartel member. "So you're the one who killed the rogue Jedi, impressive for someone not formally trained to hunt them?"Axe knew the outcome, knew that the Jedi cleared out a cantina before getting it in the back from this Dag fellow. But even he had to admit, even if it was to himself. It doesn't matter how you do it. Killing a force user even a jedi demands respect.

Dag had been sitting between a set of cargo boxes in the back of the shuttle-the designated area for the Cartel members to ride. His left hand dangled off his raised right knee. His head shifting down towards his lightsaber-as the man mentioned his jedi killing. He raised his helmeted face-his lifeless visor looking towards the man, "You heard about that?" He paused as he grunted, "It was nothing," he turned his attention away from the man and towards the corner of the ship-spotting his haywire assassin droid standing dormant. Dag felt a tingling and eerie shiver crawl down his back, I need to find that droid's origins.

"I could have my droid Six look at that tin can of yours when we get back?", Axe asked more or less to try and make small talk. He didn't expect the fellow hunter to accept but there was little else to do to pass the time. They were both here for a singular purpose of keeping Jarvin alive and thus far there was nothing risking that.

Vagrant had no respect for the delegate. She decided that the moment the man boarded the ship and addressed the cartel members collectively as the 'filth hired to guard him'. Thankfully, someone else spoke up before she had the chance to open her mouth. Vagrant gave a subtle grin at Axe's words, approving of everything he said, but glad that he'd be the one to take the heat for saying it. She stood off to the side as the Delegate snapped a reply to Axe, but didn't bother trying to suppress her smile of amusement.

She didn't have to respect him, she just had to make sure no one tried to kill him. That's what she was being paid to do, and she could certainly do it.

-------------------------

An hour later, boredom was taking its toll on Vagrant. For the first half hour or so of the trip, she had amused herself by wandering around the ship, staring intently and unblinkingly at various members of the Delegate's personal guard, seeing how long it took for them to become uncomfortable. Most had been under a minute. One had lasted a solid three. Eventually, someone had told her to go sit with the cargo. Like a child sentenced to a time-out, she'd reluctantly complied.

Vagrant had taken up a perch on top of one of the cargo boxes, near where the other Cartel members were now talking. Hearing their conversation, she leaned over the edge of the cargo box, peering down at the two of them. "Which rough jedi?" she asked, inviting herself into the conversation in hopes of getting to hear some exciting story. She paused for a second, and then asked the other question on her mind. "Also, how long's this trip?"

(OOC: I'll sort of spice up the flight once Paradox posts)

Dag glanced towards the man as he asked to take a look at his droid-he paused before speaking, "Not sure it'd really help, the blasted thing only babbles on about finding it's creator," he shrugged as a woman spoke up-asking about the Jedi, Gaius. His black visor peered towards the woman and unclipped the lightsaber that hung from his belt, "This is all that's left of him," he paused as he took a moment to look over the deadly blade, "The kung almost got me and my team killed back on Nar Haaska. So I killed him." He clipped his lightsaber back to his belt and folded his arms as his astromech droid entered the cargo bay beeping, "Statement=....transmitting:///priority message....=Ambassador Jarvin would like all Cartel Personnel to stay in the Cargo bay for the duration of the flight...Due to scaring of Flight Personnel."

Dag, understanding Binary gave a nod-turning his attention back towards his team, "I wonder who could of went out scaring the Ambassador's team," he gave a chuckle as he rested his helmeted head against a back of a cargo box. He felt a gradual shift in the shuttle's flight path, but thought nothing of it.

"You're team..ha", Axe hacked as he spoke, "It was you, that droid, and smuggler/thief trying to to earn a few extra credits or make a name for himself..oh yes and the dancer slaying jedi...hell of a team", he spoke knowing full well things were looking no better for him in the case. This "team" thus far, himself a former ISF force hunter, a fellow hunter who in known in the Cartel now for slaying at least one Jedi, and her. He looked just above and slightly across from him toward to young female."Getting younger and younger I see, not bad though".

The sudden appearance of the astromech interuped his banter. Axe knew droid speak well, a skill he learned from his time in ISF. Though he had Six upgraded to speak basic with feminine voice program. "Try and get one Twi'link girls holonet number and suddenly you're stuck to the back of the bus"

Vagrant looked at the lightsabre Dag showed off, nodding her approval of the trophy, and then listening as Axe went into further details, listing off the others who had been involved. At his comment about her youth, it was all the girl could do to resist rolling her eyes. She was old enough. "A team's a team," she countered at his mockery of Dag's teammates. "Don't make no difference how fancy or qualified they are. Someone tries to kill your teammates, you better try'n kill'em right back."

At that moment, the astromech droid interrupted the conversation to tell the three about the new development - that they were to remain confined to the cargo hold for the duration of the flight. She grinned. That had to have been her, when she'd been walking around earlier. Just as she was about to proudly declare so, one of the other Cartel members spoke first, claiming to have been fishing for some lady's number.

Vagrant jumped down from her perch atop the cargo box. "Very nice," she complimented him, holding her hand up for a high-five of approval. I mighta had somethin' to do with that, too. Was walkin' 'round staring at folks earlier. Making 'em uncomfortable, y'know?"

She paused for a second, and then spoke to Axe once more. "Guessing you didn't end up scorin' her number, huh?"

The sliding doors to the cargo bay quickly opened with a hissing noise as Bastille walked through carrying a bottle of wine. As he shut the door there was a tirade of disgruntled yelling that was quickly silenced once the doors slammed shut. "evening gentlemen" Bastille said as he popped the cork on the bottle and took a hearty swig. "Oh if someone asks where the diplomat's bottle of Blossom wine went, tell them that you saw one of the loading dock crew take it."

Bastille walked over to the small group huddling around the Ubese hunter, who accompanied him on his last escapade, who was talking with the other hunters about killing the Jedi that mucked up the mission. Bastille sat down on a small box of crates that read -emergency rations- and joined the conversation. "Dag quit showing off" ,he said between a swig of the diplomat's wine, "You shot the moron in the back of the head it was hardly a fight."

Dag glanced up towards Bastile-a smirk forming under his helmet, "You could say that," his voice hissed through his helmet's COM. He clipped the lightsaber back to his belt and quickly jolted back up. He glanced towards his team and gave them a nod, "I'm going to check on how this flight is coming along," he said with a grunt and made his way out of the room and through the corridors. He bent his back forward as he made a slight jog towards the cockpit.

(Short post trying to get back into the swing of things.)

Axe rolled his eyes behind the cover of his helmet. Dag was a proven up and comer in the Cartel the others he could care less about. What mattered was the job. He didn't care much of the asset of the company it came with but he could hardly refuse the pay it offered. The former soldier would of rather left with Dag but was still under the impression it was him who was asked to sit in the rear with the gear.

"Be sure and give the blow hard a warm hello for the rest of us on your way by", he asked Dag sarcastically on his way by toward the cockpit.
