With the rise and solidification of the Cartel, Addipos the Hutt took on the task of rebuilding the Rothana shipyards that nearly destroyed the planet they orbited, as well as the planetary restoration effort. A decade later, and the repairs are nearing it's final stages that would allow the Cartel to have a major boost in fleet production and it's importance in the Galactic stage. Rothana itself is also booming with various different restoration efforts all across the planet with the aide of various other species from across the Galaxy. With the disappearance of the Granee Lorda, the Hutt Council began to fracture off into it's previous ways, using shadow tactics and backroom deals to plot against each other - Kajidic against Kajidic. This comes with it's own problems, problems other powers would be smart to manipulate.
Tipping Scales marks the next stage in the Cartel's story, a story that will see the Cartel become much more polarized and brought directly into the eye of the Storm that will be the Fourth Galactic Civil War. Some of the Cartel will find themselves bowing in servitude to the wealthy Empire, while some will help establish a closer relationship with the eager Rebels - either way, the Cartel will soon have to decide: who will they support?!
"In a war, always choose the side with bigger and badder guns. Did I mention the Empire has more of 'em, too?"
Connecting the Dots Corellia is one of the few planets that suffers greatly of defying the Empire. In hopes of currying favor between the Sith and Cartel, the Basadii Kajidic has offered to tangle themselves with the rebellious natives through gun markets. In helping gain information and establish contacts with the Corellian Rebels, the Empire could easily suppress the rebel cells that plague the planet. The natives however, have a strong reliance on a pirate fleet composed of ex-Alliance pilots hailing from Corellia. The Empire's managed to find their base on one of the moons that revolves around Corellia, and a team is required to take them out to allow the Cartel's gunrunners to establish their markets. Beneficial Bonds After ten years of rebuilding - the shipyards that once lined the Rothana sky once-again have been rebuilt to it's former glory. The Councils of both respective factions have agreed to help one another with the hopes of mending shaky relationships with one another. The Cartel in particular has offered to help the Sith Empire produce a line of small war vessels to meet up to the Empire's highest standards for a slight discount, greatly promoting the new shipyards and expanding the Empire's fleet capabilities. A team will be tasked with delivering key technology to the Rothana shipwrights to create ships that would fit the Imperial Standard. LOCATION: OBJECTIVES:

Survival of the Fattest Rothana is home to a gathering of Hutts trying to curry favor with the ancient Adippos the Hutt, many of which are outcasts or from low-importance Kajidic. The bulk of them have grown to be a thorn on the ancient Hutt Lord's side as they try to force their own influence and products on Adippos' planet - polluting the planet greatly and making many citizens and workers alike very unsettled. The ancient Hutt wants the largest and most powerful of these offenders - Puuta the Hutt - to serve as an example for the rest: he will not tolerate any other Hutt operating on his planet any further. Shadow Puppets The Kormtha Kajidic is one of the Empire's strongest supporters thanks to the rise of Jack Tamblyn as their new leader. However not all in his clan are supportive of the first non-Hutt Leader, most especially the clan's previous heir, Lor Kormtha Rahgor. Lor's own offspring, named Tooga, is currently traveling the Galaxy. His trip should eventually bring him into the core of the Corporate Sector, where our contacts in the Corporate Security Force will arrest him and implicating him under a series of crimes in Corporate Sector and Imperial Space. After a short negotiation with Mr. Tamblyn, he will surely gain the unwavering support of his unruly family after the safe return of their huttlett, and give the Empire a solid ally within the Cartel. Disinformation[COMPLETE] While the Cartel would like the Galaxy to think they're united - they're anything but. The Kajidics have traditionally always involved themselves in a shadow war in petty rivalry with one another. While Vero might of united them under one common banner: credits, their egos are still prevalent even today. The oldest and most well-documented of these rivalries is between the Besadii and Desilijic Kajidics. The two have deep interest with the Anjiliac Clan, considering it's immense wealth and deep pockets, and ruining their negotiations would surely cause the Cartel's leadership to break apart yet again. "Always bet on the underdog, the top dogs have more to take from."
Scratching Our Bellies The Cartel have more than a few weapons manufacturers, mostly all within Cartel Space or it's surrounding sectors but it's the ones outside Cartel Space that are under constant threat of being under attack. Sanctum Celestial was once an ancient fortress, now instead being used to build and distribute a plethora of blasters and other technology for the Cartel - but has been attacked by a local crime syndicate. Being of such high priority, thanks to it's prime location on the Hydian Way hyperlane, the Cartel wants the stolen weaponry found as quickly as possible. The team is tasked with taking down the local syndicate and returning the large cache of weapons stolen. In return for the aid, the Cartel will allow the Rebellion to keep half of the weaponry found, and further discounts on their future weapon purchases. LOCATION: OBJECTIVES:

Error44 Rothana's Restoration Project hasn't been ideal and it's come across more than it's share of bumps - but the worst of these is a Hacker collective known as Error44 that has made the final stages of the Shipyard's creation to become a nightmare. With countless of beings ready for work, and others ready to see the project completed - a team is tasked with finding the Hacker collective and take them down. The Rebellion will be granted access to use the shipyard's repair births at their whim. LOCATION: OBJECTIVES:

Welcome to the Thunderdome[COMPLETE] Rothana's early projects included domed cities, the largest of which being Aegis. Aegis' underworld recently gained a pair Hutt twins, an oddity in Hutt culture in it's own. Being shunned by the rest of the Hutts, the twins have taken the city of Aegis in proud defiance. A collection of politicians and various investors from across Cartel space were in the middle of touring the project, and were instead taken hostage by the Hutt crimelords. With the dome city and many high-profile officials held being hostage, the Cartel - most notably Adippos the Hutt - has gained a lot of flack. He wants the twins killed and the Rebels will be allowed to set themselves up in the domed city as a base of operations, and the Cartel member a "key to the city". LOCATION: OBJECTIVES:

Operation: Liberationhttp://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/...ON-Operation-Liberation&p=1220305#post1220305http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/...ON-Operation-Liberation&p=1220305#post1220305[COMPLETE] Rorak 4 is home to the largest slave market in all of Cartel Space. A fortress of the Velora Slavers overlooks the slave market. If we could make the attack look like an Imperial attack, we could push one of the major Kajidics to become aggressive against the Empire - and gaining a few new allies to the Rebellion's cause. Leviathan We've gained some vital information: the Cartel is helping the Empire create their ships right here on Rothana. Intel's even suggested the Cartel has been tasked with designing a single massive warship to spearhead the new production line. We need to find out just what they're working with. The team is tasked with infiltrating the shipwright's and stealing the ship's plan, but we have to make it look like a Cartel job. Deleting the files will also be key, and would keep the Empire and Cartel from being on completely friendly terms. LOCATION: OBJECTIVES:

MISSION REQUESTED:
FACTION:
Q: What are those missions that have colored font for?
A: I call them Sabotage missions. Basically, they're only available for members of an opposing faction that will harm the Cartel instead of helping it. They're more covert and will push the Cartel's storyline and effect the next arc in the Cartel's story. NOTE: The faction leadership might at one point jump into the thread to NPC, though it's not guaranteed.
Q: I have a Jedi/Sith in the Rebellion/Empire, can they join in?
A: I want to keep it strictly Rebellion and Imperial military characters, however I know the Empire doesn't have the strongest presence and the Rebellion is really busy with their own thing right now, so it'll be a case-by-case basis really. Jedi and Sith are welcome to sign up regardless!
Q: Can you sign up for more than one mission?
A: You can sign up for only one regular joint-mission and only one sabotage mission, maxing you at two missions.
Q: Is it first come first serve?
A: Nope, the Cartel's faction leadership will be in charge of the sign-ups.
Q: We don't need an NPC?
A: You don't need them, not at all, but we do encourage them! So long as they threads are well written and you have a good time writing them (AND THEY'RE COMPLETED), that's all that matters.
Q: How long are the sign ups going to be open?
A: I want the missions to all be up by next week, so a week from now should be a good time. I'll give an announcement/bump once the time is growing nearer for the sign-ups to close.
