Additions to clarify the following have been made:
  1. The fact that direct hits from explosives are effective against this.
  2. The fact that the electric shock is not a ranged weapon, and can be shorted by other electronic attacks or by EMP.

I looked this over and compared to to the wiki, and I have to say this is very similar and seems to be fair. You have to remember you are sticking a 1 tonne being into armor, this armor weighs half a tonne. This means that even basic armor for his species is going to have to function in a way similar to power armor for it to be feasible. He literally will have to make an armor that for nearly any other species would be a mech suit. While it is up to Clayton if this is approved or not. You all should be aware that this has power armor levels of protection because it has to be power armor in order for it to actually armor a Hutt.

This on top of a Hutt's natural defenses pretty much makes one a moderately armed tank. So I'm looking at this a little more critically.

Where is the power source? Everything electronic here is going to need power, and microrepulsors capable of greatly reducing the weight and sluggishness of nearly a ton of Hutt+Armor, more in some cases, will draw significant power. This is powered armor, so it'd be a good idea to provide the power, lol.

What about resistance to ion attacks? The only thing I see protecting from electricity is the rubberized undersuit, which is more protecting the wearer than systems. Right now as it stands, I don't see anything that would prevent a couple ion shots from completely locking everything down.

Speaking of the rubberized undersuit...If it melts or is torn, does the wearer get constantly electrocuted by the electronic web? How does the Hutt not overheat from wearing a rubber bodysuit underneath heavy metal plate?

No to Beskar. It might have flown whenever Baco was around, but in our timeline with Beskar supply pretty much gone, and the Mandalorians in disarray, I'm not sure how Hutts would have a supply of Beskar stun batons laying around.

How does the heavy repeating blaster fire? Is it automated, manually fired? Is it fixed position? Does it have an independent power source, or does it have a finite amount of ammunition?

The main thing I'm concerned about is the high protection and high mobility. Powered armor like this generally isn't very mobile. Hutt skin and the fat/muscle layers already provide a high level of protection against weapons. High resistance against them on the armor compounds that to a ridiculous degree. I'd suggest balancing that out.

Thanks Clayton. I shall expand the profile to offer more detail. What you have suggested is what I had in my mind for the armor, however what is in my head cannot be read :P

I will make the additions tomorrow, as well as clarifying and answering your questions.

Alrighty then, the following changes have been made:

  1. A section detailing the power supply has been added. I am not sure if that is adequate powering, so please do help me out if you can!
  2. I have added in a low resistance to Ion Attacks, as well as in the description stating that an Ion attack would shut the Armour down, leaving the wearer to re-activate it after several moments.
  3. The Under-Suit, if torn, will now shut down the electronic defense system.
  4. Beskar removed.
  5. Additional information added to the weapons section, showing the shoulder mounted blaster will fire automatically after its target is identified by the wearer.
  6. Power source for the gun added.
  7. Description expanded to show that the armor only enhances the speed of the Hutt, and cannot make them a Ninja.

This is effectively a carbon copy of the armor linked in the description section, which is canon armor. I said I would make an armor for Hutts as close to the existing in lore stuff as I could :)
Then you don't have to make a tech post, just say it was modified. -admin
