The wind whistled as it channeled down the mountains and through the valley, sand blowing everywhich way. Kip Koom sat amidst the rocky mountains, using a pair of electronic quadnoculars overlooking the open valley.

"Xanthis do you copy?"

Kip muttered into a small transmitter he carried on him at all times, in order to maintain comms with his companions at all times.

"Anyone on this net...radiocheck..."

Kip requested once again. He knew his companions were close, he just didnt want to give up his good location just yet trying to find them.

Kip was reminded during this mission how evil and violent beings could be. He too had his violent past amongst the sith ranks many moons ago. But after his conversion it was hard for him to fully grasp the concept of....why?

Looking to the southern pass of the valley he could see a small patrol of cragmoloids traveling from the south, to the northern pass. The jedi was unsure of the hotspots for their misshaps but he intended to find out where and stop them from happening.

Poaching was like slavery in Kips eyes....vile and disgusting and the thought of either should be eradicated from existence.

Maliel hung perilously from a small handhold, her fingertips just clinging onto the smallest of outcroppings in the otherwise smooth stone. "I well and truly worked myself into a corner with this one." She thought with excitement. Despite the apparent jeopardy she was in, the gravity of the situation was not such that she was in any true danger. This was just some mild training. Maliel was most certainly not the strongest of individuals, but she was incredibly dexterous and fit. For her body weight and size, she was incredibly strong.

Maliel had set out on this climb with the goal of not channeling one ounce of force energy into her body. She was only slightly regretting that decision as she felt the burn of her muscles while she searched for any available avenue of escape from this hold. She had made an impressive leap to make it to this one, and hadn't really considered that she would have nowhere to go after reaching this place. She glanced around, and found her nearest hold to be at least two meters away. Bringing her second hand up to support her, and began swinging herself horizontally.

She allowed her momentum to build as she focused on making the distance, and at the precipice of her swing to the right, she released, and pulled herself up with as much force as she could manage. She soared impressively across the space, but without force energy, going across two meters and up at least half a meter was a difficult task. Her fingers missed the ledge by a hair's breadth, sending her plummeting for the rocky surface below.

She frantically searched for a ledge, and managed to grab onto one large enough for her tired fingers to hold onto. She felt herself jerk to a stop, and let out an "oof" of air as she felt the pressure on her arms. Her muscles screamed in protest, but she pulled herself up and into a sitting position on the ledge. Relenting on her usage of the force, as the exercise was now clearly a failure, she stood on the ledge and made a force-assisted leap to a larger one.

She laid on the stone outcropping, allowing the force to flood her body with its familiar, warm embrace. She felt it soothe her tired muscles and her aches began abating almost immediately. It was an addictive and refreshing feeling to behold. As she was catching her breath, she heard a small chirping from her comm unit, which had been sitting uselessly in her pockets while she exercised. She plopped it in and listened to whoever was speaking.

"I'm on." She said shortly. She was still catching her breath. "I'm nearly dead, or rather, I nearly just shattered both my legs, but I am most certainly on." She said with a chuckle. Pulling herself up, she brought herself into a crouch, dusting off her pants as she rose to standing position. "Let's meet up. What are your coordinates?"

For his part, Xanthis sat at the mouth of a small cave that had been bored into the side of a mountain by either nature or artificial device. He could see into the valley, and he could vaguely sense the presences of his allies in the area. The three of them had been dispatched on this mission, but they had all arrived separately and at different times. It was only just now that the three Jedi were finally beginning to establish a network of communication, which meant that it was only just now that the mission could be said to be getting truly underway.

"Yeah, I read you,"
Xanthis said into his communication device before standing up and beginning to stretch for a moment. When he heard Maliel's comment, Xanthis placed his palm on his forehead and shook his head with a wry grin. "Maliel, please don't go breaking yourself or dying or anything like that. I'd hate to have to deal with the mountain of paperwork." The words were said with obvious jest, and afterwards Xanthis made a sound of affirmation to Maliel's suggestion. For the moment, he would wait until the coordinates were given, and when they were he would proceed to make haste towards the rendezvous point.

Kip smirked as he placed his coordinates over the comms. Fully unaware of the possible futre, he still hoped for the best. Standing the Jedi arose from his position and displaced to higher ground that was less....rocky.

"I'm displacing to an eastern position."

He claimed over the comms. Kip enjoyed field work, he couldnt stand being in an indoor setting for long. He had to get his 'feet wet' more so than not. Kip approached his ship, placing his satchel inside its compartments.

Reaching over to the door way he pressed a button which closed the bulkhead doors. Engines began to whined as it sloly lifted off the ground and pressed outward of the atmosphere. Kip didn't want anyone to see or find their location let alone know they were there.

Kips age hindered his ability to remember what it was being young. He admired the young and adventurous ones like Maliel, for her willing to find excitement even during missions such as these.

"Be safe, see you in a few."

The old neti sat upon a stone awaiting his companions to arrive.

Maliel let out a breath as she closed the channel, and she moved into a force assisted leap, leaping straight onto the top of the cliff. She landed gracefully and squinted as the sun beat down upon her now. The cliff had been providing a welcome cover from the star's heavy gaze. She strolled calmly over to her speeder, mounting it and checking for the transmitted coordinates of the rendezvous point.

"I'm on my way." She said shortly, before shooting off towards the horizon. She had always loved the feeling of the wind blowing through your hair. She also had that ball of excitement in her stomach that was a common occurrence before a mission. There were some missions that turned out to be horrifically boring, but as a general rule, she could find herself enjoying just about any mission she embarked upon.

Xanthis nodded to himself when he heard Kip say that he was displacing to an eastern position, and was about to leap down the mountain towards a nearby speeder. At the last moment however, he thought better of it and went in the opposite direction: up. The mountain that he was occupying was closer to a large hill, so it did not take many leaps to scale to the top. Once he got there, he crouched down and concentrated. From his high vantage point, Xanthis could see the landscape around him for a great distance.

He could sense the life forces of an uncountable number of creatures, distinguishing them from the inorganic matter around them by a soft glow that emanated from all living things to his sight. What he was looking for however, were two particularly strong auras which he found a considerable distance from himself and each other. 'Finally.' He thought to himself upon spying the lightsided auras that could only have belonged to his allies. Making a mental note of where he could find the stationary aura, Xanthis would then give a few leaps before arriving at the bottom of his chosen mountain. Mounting his speeder, he would make full speed towards Kip.

Kip rose to the top, silhouetting his person on the ridgeline he stood, patiently. Overlooking the horizon he smiled, deeply within at that.

"Beautiful...."

Kip muttered softly to himself. During these dark times, he tried to always forsee the beauty of it all, For he never knew when his time would come.

The wind calmly blew as the sun fell upon his skin. The whistling echoed down the valley and through the passage, caressing the stones as it passed. 'Today was a beautiful day' kip thought to himself.

Patiently he awaited his companions, his comrades as they too set out to this position. Looking down he slowly bent over and pulled up some of the small stones, shaking them lightly within his hands he dropped them slowly. Individually they fell to the ground until he ramained with four.

Placing the stones in his pocket he turned. Eyeing the directions he felt them approaching from, awaiting their arrive so their plans could be planned fully and executed.

(Ooc: Sorry at work.)
