Affiliation: N/A.

Ownership: N/A.

Intent: My character is a human replica droid. I'm making this tech writeup to cover my ass.

Model/Name: Eden Voight / PD-774-09

Class: Mixed. Class three protocol, with HK software upgrades and modified astromech capabilities.

Locomotion: Bipedal, with various gyroscopic mechanisms to improve balance and mimic a righting reflex.

Power Supply: Rechargeable power packs, 30 days per charge. Vibroblade attachments require smaller batteries that must be replaced manually, and can run for 2 hours at a time.

Sensors:Size: 170cm / 145kg.

Composition: Synthskin, durasteel, armorweave, flexible poly-alloys, rybcoarse, neural-web reflex threading, various ceramics, phrik.

Weapons: Two forearm-embedded vibroblades. Being coated with phrik alloy, they are the only lightsaber-resistant part of Eden's chassis.

Tools:Description:At her core, Eden is a Class Three protocol droid. Though her programming has been augmented and evolved of it's own accord over the years, her original purpose was to assist and serve sentient beings. As such, she's fluent in an estimated thirteen hundred forms of communication, including Basic, Huttese, High Galactic, Binary, and Shyriiwook. Similarly, she's well-versed in the various customs and cultures of various species, making her an invaluable diplomatic asset. Like most protocol droids, she possesses a basic holoprojector unit as well as a discreet recording device. In a pinch, Eden can also function as an astromech droid, capable of navigating most major trade routes and performing basic maintenance on almost any starship.

Because Eden has been operational for multiple centuries, her personality has shifted from it's original programming over time, and resembles that of an average human so closely as to be nearly indistinguishable from the real deal. Though she doesn't have the proper neurochemicals to feel real emotions - such as serotonin or dopamine - her AI is sufficiently advanced that she can generate an appropriate emotional response to outside stimulus, as well as think critically on what it may or may not mean to be truly alive. Her programming is so thorough that she can do what many droids cannot: show preference without reason, doubt rational decisions, and trust data from a previously unreliable source. In simpler terms, Eden is capable of forming emotional attachments, regretting past decisions, and - perhaps most importantly of all - genuine forgiveness.

Though not originally designed as a battle droid, the particulars of Eden's life have necessitated learning the tools of the trade. Upgraded to incorporate the same programming as a standard HK-series assassin droid, she is proficient in the use of most energy weapons, slugthrowers, and melee weapons. Her aiming algorithms boast an impressive 92.84% accuracy rating, ensuring an efficient use of ammunition. Despite her extensive weapons programming, Eden's hand-to-hand combat abilities are basic at best. She knows a handful of self-defense techniques, but finds herself without a weapon so rarely that it's a waste of precious storage space to bother learning more than the absolute minimum.

One of the most impressive technological features of Eden's particular model is the presence of various photoreceptors in her hair, skin, and eyes. Normally transparent and completely colorless, Eden is capable of adjusting the various hues of her synthetic body to suit her needs, allowing her to blend in seamlessly with most human and near-human species. In an effort to mimic lifelike functions, the cooling fluid beneath her synthskin is a dark reddish-brown, though it is far too oily to pass for blood up close.

As a droid, Eden is capable of running numerous internal systems checks, calculating the distance of objects relative to her position, targeting with a precision HUD, making detailed kinetic studies of object trajectories, sampling and analyzing the atmosphere, accessing local HoloNet channels, analyzing human emotional states (including body language and muscle tension), analyzing the texture, temperature, and composition of materials, as well as keeping time with an internal chronometer. (If you ask her nicely, she may even make julienne fries!)

However, it's worth noting that none of these are passive abilities: Eden must consciously decide to do them, meaning she isn't some walking, talking supercomputer capable of completing every single task to perfection. There are times when she may be too busy or overworked to devote an appropriate amount of mental resources to accessing her targeting computer, for example, meaning she'll be forced to rely on muscle memory and split-second decision making.

As expected, she is stronger, faster, and hardier than your average human. Eden is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 80 kph and sustaining it for up to three hours, though it takes about seven seconds under ideal conditions for her to fully accelerate. Her cybernetic limbs and skeletal structure allow her to lift an estimated 200kg with ease, again under ideal conditions, such as being minimally encumbered and not otherwise indisposed. Thanks to four leg-mounted rocket boosters, she's capable of somewhat limited flight, and can remain airborne for about 20 minutes and reach a top speed of around 33 kmh. Lugging around more than 20kg of stuff (be it product or people) will cut her flight time considerably. Anything more than 50kg is simply too heavy to carry and hover at the same time.

It's worth noting that Eden is capable of interfacing with (and overriding) many forms of security. However, she cannot do so wirelessly. Instead, she must employ more hands-on methods, such as using her integrated scomp link, fusion cutter, or electro-probe, all of which are located in her right hand. Her limbs can be magnetized to adhere to metal surfaces, and she's (obviously) capable of surviving indefinitely in a vacuum. As long as her synthskin covering is intact, she can be safely submerged in liquid as well.

Despite her HK upgrade, Eden's chassis is remarkably lacking in on-board weaponry. The only exception is a pair of forearm-embedded blades about 28cm in length, that can be extended and contracted at will. Though slim, they are incredibly sharp, strong, coated in phrik alloy, and connected to a group of power cells that essentially turn the blades into built-in vibroswords.

Given that she isn't an organic lifeform, Eden runs on batteries. Power packs, specifically, which are capable of holding a charge for roughly thirty days before needing to be plugged in to an external power source. The cells that operate her vibroswords can run for about two days before burning out, and unlike her main batteries they must be replaced manually, and are not rechargeable. One major drawback of being a droid, human replica or otherwise, is being vulnerable to EMP weapons. Though her AI and memory bank are shielded to prevent a total memory wipe, she has no way to prevent losing control of her motor functions should she be on the receiving end of an electromagnetic attack. Similarly, the synthetic skin that covers her body offers very little resistance to attack, while the armorweave that protects the mechanical skeleton underneath can only withstand direct attention from an automatic energy weapon for a brief period of time.

She's not a combination hookah and coffeemaker. She can't make julienne fries. Sorrynotsorry.

Nah, only thing I'd like to see is, given all the other stuff packed into her, is cut the flight time considerably.

Does she have issues with magnets?

Magnets? How do they work?

No, I don't think so. She's not made of floppy discs and has pretty good shielding.

Yea, wasn't talking about that aspect. I was curious if she'd have issues firing a magnetically accelerated slug thrower b/c metal.

Or do we just operate on the assumption that things are only ferromagnetic if they HAVE to be. BTW that's awkwardly worded...not meant to be anything negative.

Sure got a lot of sensors... But can she tell why kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch?
