I have this concept of a man who has everything he's ever loved taken away from him, his fortune, his family's love and even parts of his own body. Now I want to have this character walk into a building filled with potentially innocent people who he thinks may have have contributed to his downfall and walk out covered in their blood.

Now I know this probably isn't a realistic goal, murder to that degree probably isn't a sustainable lifestyle especially with indie's such as the sector rangers lurking around waiting to catch the 'bad guys.' But what I wanted to know what's a more realistic way to have this man have his catharsis, maybe specfic hits on individuals who he believes to have wronged him? Or something else entirely? (preferably something violent as that's the tone i was going with.)

Hmm. I think there are a lot of sources you could take from. For example, the pure anarchist of Hyde from Jekyll and Hyde would be an interesting take since he doesn't focus on killing everyone, just spreading chaos. Or The Punisher, who is somewhat good, but kills people in sometimes horrific ways. Just look at similar stories and see what works.

Yeah, the I had the idea for the concept after replaying Hotline Miami which I love dearly. Unfortunately there is a major lack of Russians and/or cocaine in the SW universe.

Hmm. Well, it's all about motivation. The first half of that game is just your character murdering people because he's told to. The second part, however, is about revenge, and it's handled in a fairly compelling way. I'd say it's not a bad place to take your ideas from.

don't kill every one, just those that slight you. Eg does not say sorry when they bump in to you or is rude when talking to you.

So I watch a lot of criminal minds and other various serial killer based movies and shows. The idea that everything has been taken from him is a very common one to lead people to kill in crazy ways. What happens is they have a psychotic break and either just start killing everyone around them or go and get those he deems the cause of his suffering. I think in this scenario the best way to act is to have a list whether physical or just in his mind and go after those people, saving the one who did the worst thing or is most responsible for last. During the crusade to kill these people, however, killing is now a necessary action and not so wrong as it may have been before the break. So if someone gets in his way it would be reasonable that he would murder them with just as much ferocity as those he actually is aiming to kill. A side note is that sometimes this happens when the other person wasn't actually in the way at all, just in the wrong place and the psycho THINKS that he's in the way (pizza man, mailman, lady with a shopping cart, etc.).

Anyway sounds like an awesome story, hope I gave you some ideas to roll with. :)
