How Jedi makes money?

Well... this is a question that I could not answer...

  • The Sith Empire: has the majority of the Galaxy = ALL money
  • Hutts: owners of many assets = BIG money
  • Galactic Rebellion: Many smugglers, mercs and people that knows how make money = SMALL money
  • JEDI: just meditate, train and help people = NO money
So, I want to make my PC real and I'd like suggestions of how I can make a thread where he receives some money to buy better weapons, armor and stuff. As well as to eat, supply his needs, trips, fuel, etc...

Thanks.

Missions- like protection that interests on benefitting everyone. A commission goes to the order (as to what I understand). Keep in mind that these are the Real clergymen of the galaxy, so selflessness kinda goes with the job;)

I actually asked this question about the Sith once, since its not clear if they really get a salary or the like.

The Sith most likely get a cut of the Sith Order's financial budget, I'd imagine, though the higher up in the ranks you go, the larger the pool of credits you can draw from. So an Acolyte would have a meagre sum of cash to throw around, but a Sith Lord could likely afford quite a bit. A Darth I imagine would have a nearly limitless pool of credits to fund their plots. Though, if you waste said cash on useless or foolish stuff, you'll likely get a visit by the Sith version of the IRS.

As for the Jedi, they probably have to survive on good-will from people across the galaxy.

Of course, both of these statements are subject to refutal by the appropriate Faction Leaders.

Since Sith Lords and Darths would most likely have limitless amounts of money, and they are also the pinnacle of authority and law in the Imperium, behind the Empress and the Dark Lord, it makes zero sense to me why there would be anyone to stop them from spending money on whatever they wanted. There have been plenty hedonistic and materialistic Sith Lords on SWRP, just look at Royston, Varek, Arcturus and Thaed to name a few. Greed, decadence and flaunting riches as a display of power has been common amongst high ranking Sith since ancient times, while austerity and modesty were Jedi traits that were looked down upon. Many savoured the jealousy and envy their material wealth aroused within the peers.

"...Excuse me, sir, but this says you gambled four quadrillion credits."
"Yep."
"B-But that's more than the entire output of the Imper-"
"Is Vereor here to tell me no?"
"Sir-"

I would assume that most Jedi use a barter system; accepting any services that the person or community that they assisted cam offer. So far all of my Jedi have had the support of the GA (at the time) or a side job. Daria will be my first character without such amenities. She'll probably sing or race for money... Or ask for donations. *shrug*

Von steals. Worst Jedi ever.

On a more serious note regarding the NJO's finances:

"We hold the patents to several inventions from out-of-town visitors; Velcro, microwave ovens, liposuction..."

Use the force on dice games, and to sense when the in-house security is coming to get you, and you should be all set.

Well, obviously, the quote you highlighted was aimed more for the Acolytes, Crusaders, and Masters, rather than the Sith Lords and Darths, which I kinda mentioned.

Everybody's answers are more humorous than mine. :bittercrying:

Loot the dead. Loot the living. Loot anything that isn't nailed down. And if it IS nailed down, loot that too.

That's what a lightsaber is for.

Ah, my bad, you mentioned Lords/Darths right before said quote, so I thought you were referring to them. Sorry about that ^^;
