[Honestly, just ask] In Vacation

Taruna:

Taruna answered with a quite short smile to that last question, under normal circumstances a visit at a resort like this one would be way out of her league, and although she never missed it, it was not the best feeling to admit that you are too poor to be here. Which was in itself strange, since she as a Jedi never really had much need for money. She usually had as much as she needed, and even that she gave away if the situation demanded it. So she answered honest "I'm sorry, but I am not. I actually am only here because I was invited, it would not be able to afford the fees to dock at the station under normal circumstances. I.." she paused, rethinking if this would be dangerous to admit or not "I do not really care about money, I just usually get as much as I need to survive"

A little abashed, she quickly took her glass of water and took a sip

Dawn:

Listening attentively, she looked from Jaleer to Jaz while they spoke and weighted their recollections of their most memorable convoy duties "Well, we do have Royal duty against a Ace." she smiled and announced "Both are interesting in their own way, announcing a winner would be hard, but I am more inclined to give him.." she pointed at Jaz "the point for that one. But before this continues.. " Dawn sat up on her knees and reminded herself to put back on her top, to not send the wrong signal in the presence of men, and proceeded "I better change the topic. Anyone of you two here for the ball tonight by chance?"

"Ah, I see." Kalo replied solemnly. "Money isn't everything, right?"

Kalo took a drink of his own water to mask what might have been genuine sadness in his expression. "I uh, I'm not supposed to be here. I scored big on a recent job and, well... I'd worked here once, a long time ago." he explained honestly, subconsciously rubbing the scar around his neck while he remembered the indignities he suffered. "I guess I wanted to see what it was like on the other side of things. To be completely honest, I'm here to get even in a way... and hoping that no one here recognizes me."


He cleared his throat before continuing, not wanting to show any vulnerability. "As for my financial situation, I'll have it solved soon. Men like me don't stay hungry for long. Until then, Here's to us: Nowhere to go but up!" he said with a smile, raising his glass

Jaleer shacked his head but decided going to the ball would be nice, its not like he had anything better to do. But of course he would need something nice to wear and jedi robes aren't the best idea. Being a bit embarrassed by the fact he was going to need get something but he didn't have the credits for it.

"Well I would be glad to go if I had something that was nice to wear, but sadly I don't have any credits to get something nice with." Jaleer said with his cheeks heating up a little bit, sad at the situation he is in.

And so the "point" went to Jaz, but that was kind of predictable result after all Jaz had been in the military and the teenager had probably been in some sort of education..or hiding or something whatever the case beside it wasn't a competition to see who had the best convoy escort moment, looking over at the kid he had to wonder just how well trained he was in space combat..or he did complete the escort by sheer luck?

Shaking his head to rid himself of the question that needed a answer before paying attention to the female as she sat up on her knees,Jaz averting his eyes when he realising that she hadn't put her top on giving her a few moments to put her top on back looking back after a few moments a slight smirk on his face hearing about a ball..honestly he hadn't heard about a ball being hosted if he had then it might have been a alright time to do some robbing but that wasn't something Jaz himself would do..but who knows

"Ah I'm not good at dancing but it would be interesting to go to a ball..."Jaz replied not letting them know that he had neeeverr been to a ball before so it was a completely new thing to the red head, of course it was then that the guy mentioned the fact that he didn't have any credits to buy any clothes suitable for a ball..which Jaz has not a lot but he had a decent amount of credits to buy himself and maybe even the kid something to wear for the ball

Taruna:

Taruna raised her glas in response and nodded "To have nowhere to go but up", she answered, although she was quite content with the position she was in, but there was no need to either reveal that nor the fact that she was Padawan, and thus strives for balance rather than riches. That would definitely spoil the mood.

Returning to the strange but tasty food, she took one of the green salad leaves, bit into it.. and put it down gently, right after realizing this was part of the decoration.

Dawn:

Dawn looked at Jaleer, head to toe with her blue eyes and nodded, then repeated his measurements with a difference of up to one centimeter. It was something incredible useful to be able to get measurements right in a fast way,in case you had to steal someone's clothes and they HAD to fit, or stuff a unconscious guard into a locker.

"Tell you what," she said with a smile, "I provide the attire, you two provide companionship during the ball as my Dates" and also added a "I promise a Party worth bragging of even when you two are in retirement"

A life of balance is something that would make no sense to Kalo at all, so Taruna was fortunate in hiding that aspect of her life. Sometimes it seemed like the only thing Kalo loved more than women was treasure. After watching her bite into the decorative leaf, he decided to put his silverware down. Most of his plate was cleared already. He motioned for a waiter to come by, and requested the rest be put into a box to go. "So until that ball rolls around, do you have any plans?"

Jaleer was thankful that Dawn was willing to buy him something to wear, an now felt he had to repay her somehow. Going to the ball and being her date would probably be a good start but he felt he might need to do more.

"Thank you, I would greatly appreciate it, and will pay you back however I can." Jaleer said, genuinely would do anything in his power to pay her back, but now he needed help to get ready for the ball.

"Maybe we should go now to get something, if that is alright with you?" Jaleer asked he thought about asking for the other man's assistances also since Jaleer had no clue what to pick, usually only wearing his Jedi robes.

Jaleer's face was blushing a little thinking of himself as a little kid again next to adults which sucked in Jaleer's opinion, hoping he would be able to impress them at the ball, though he knew that was impossible only having been to a fancy party once, right before his convoy mission, and he didn't do much. An if Jaleer had to dance he would die out of embarrassment not knowing how to dance and the fear of stepping on someone was very present in Jaleers mind.

Raising a eyebrow at the comment from the female about providing the attire..now unless looks were deceiving she didn't look like she had a wealth of credits unlike Jaz..but who knows maybe she was the same as him and didn't show off their wealth by splashing out on things like flashy clothes,weapons or parts for starfighters, but no matter it was such a minor detail, although then he heard her talk about the two being her dates for the ball this definitely caused Jaz to look at her blankly unintentionally.

Really? I look more like her bodyguard rather than her date.. Jaz thought to himself before shaking his head this was defidently going to be a new experience for Jaz since he doesn't exactly look like the sort of person who would do balls.

"Very well"Jaz then made a mental note to conceal his weapons when he heard her talk about promising a party worthy of bragging long into their retirement jjuusst incase, and also that Jaz himself preferred to have weapons on hand for any and all eventualities,damn those drones they won't prevent him bring weapons with him everywhere

Taruna:

"Lingering lazily until diner and prepare for the evening after that" was her immediate response, and she leaned a little forward to add with a conspirative smile and a playfully shifty look to the left and right "Unless someone does have a better idea in how to spend the time until dinner."

Dawn:

"Excellent," Dawn nodded with a smile but slightly shook her head "I am not planning to go shopping before after dinner time, early afternoon. I will have it delivered to your room." She did not feel the need to admit that she had access to the lodging index ten minutes after getting into her room, or that she was not intending to pay for the dresses.

Getting onto her feet, she stretched a little and looked at the two gentlemen at the beach, then at the sun almost risen. In her daily life as a Jedi Padawan, she would sit in the cafeteria now and have a breakfast. It felt well to break out of the routine for a little, but her stomach did apparently not know yet that she was on vacation. "Anyone up for breakfast followed by some ball games on the beach?" she asked. This was in her opinion the best way to get the time by until noon some food and sports.

Jaleer smiled and was glad that he wasn't going to have to do shopping, Jaleer knew he would be embarrassed if he did. Jaleer stood up and stretched a little feeling his own empty stomach, he had been swimming the entire morning and hadn't eaten, so felt like having breakfast would be the best option.

"Sure I can go for some breakfast, haven't eaten all day." Jaleer said smiling than looked at the man sitting next to him wondering what he would say.

"Well it seems it will be a interesting vacation after all." Jaleer said to himself and his two companions wouldn't have heard.

Kalo raised an eyebrow and leaned in with a devilish smirk, stroking his chin with his fingers. "You know what I reeeally wanna do right now?" he asked.

"...I want to see if they have a boat. Or some sort of diving expeditions. Or maybe a trek through the jungle. I know I'm here to relax, but nothing forms a friendship quite like a little adventure." he said excitedly. He'd spent all morning in his room resting and taking care of an egg, he clearly wanted to get into something more exciting.

"Eh I can pay for my own suit..infact I brought my own suit suitable for a ball"Jaz replied remembering about the fact that he had been lugging around a suit which he had been keeping around..like a relic of his past, as to where he got it he couldn't remember but likely it was probably something his parents had gotten for him, to try and impress the girls

"But thank you for the offer"Jaz started to say before he stood up and looked at the two smiling slightly as the question of breakfast and ball games and if the two were up for it

"Sure..I haven't had much to eat to be completely honest and some ball games sounds good to me"Jaz answered, even if during his military career his "entertainment" was generally sparring with his wingmates or running around the ship he was stationed on

Taruna:

Taruna smiled "A boat would be nice, but entails the danger to stay outside too long. But I know there is a boat rental if you move to the beach and go half an hour to the south." she thought a little about what she read in the information pad she received during the shuttle flight down to the planet "I believe diving and a jungle trip is possible as well if we jump to the next island, but.." her smile became broader and a little mischievous "I just happened to know about a spot I really wanted to visit, it's not far away and leads along a not so safe route, soo.. how well can you handle a hover bike?"

Dawn:

Getting up completely, grabbing her towel and sun lotion she looked at the two "Let's see if we can find more to create an even team" she laughed a little "It would be a blast to have a Prince or Princess joining us"

Then, she pointed ahead "Onwards to the delicacies and bountiful food!" and walked on towards the Dining room of the hotel

Jaleer was glad to be able to eat now, and walked with Dawn as they headed into the dining room of the hotel. Hoping to see Taruna as they walk in and he did, she was still talking to the man Jaleer felt he knew. Jaleer wasn't sure if he should go up to her and say hi but decided it was rude not to. Walking over to her direction he looked back at his small group.

"Hey give me a minute I know someone from here I will be right back." Jaleer said speed walking to Taruna and once he was behind her, Jaleer would lightly tab her shoulder.

"Hey Taruna, long time no see."Jaleer said hoping to get her attention and hoping she would recognize him.

"Better than most." Kalo humbly bragged. "Why don't you just tell me where to go, and let it be a surprise?" he suggested as he gathered the remains of his plate into a box and handed it back to the waiter, tipping him extra to have room service store the extra food in the fridge in Kalo's room. He stood up, straightened his outfit a bit, and prepared to go.

Well she didn't give off any indications that Jaz having a suit of his own bothered him and so he rid himself of any doubts he might have and just payed attention to the female commenting on how it would be a blast if a prince or princess joined them, great what next a former GA captain who Jaz served under, following the duo to where they would have breakfast, entering the dining room he realised that he knew nobody in the room apart from the two he had been talking to no matter he was sure that his intimidating aura and his military mannerism was keeping people at bay.

Picking a chair near a window Jaz sighed quietly to himself glaring at the drones flying about on patrol before he focused his attention to the room itself and the people inside trying to judge the likely hood that his affiliation to the hutt cartel might be notice..but the red head judged it to be a minimal chance of that happening

 

[Taruna]

Taruna:

"Haha, no" Taruna laughed and stood up herself "If I tell you, you most probab..." she stopped, feeling a warm and nice shiver going down her back. The usual sign of a friendly creature arriving her. She smiled and waited for what that individual was planning and turned around when she felt the finger tipping her shoulder. As she turned around, her red eyes widened in surprise and she gave the other Jedi a firm hug "Heeey! Jaleer! How have you been?"

Dawn:

Dawn nodded as Jaleer moved off to greet one or even both of the only other guests currently present and gave him a "Ask them if they like ball games!" barely loud enough that Jaleer would hear it. Right after, she made a beeline to the buffet and filled her plate with everything she knew and found tasty. As she saw the guy with the mood sitting alone at the table, she quickly took another tablet and shoveled some stuff onto it, then she half tiptoed, half rushed to the table, hoping she would sit and have the tablets placed on the table before he looked around, sitting there with a mischievous grin

Jaleer didn't expect such a warm welcome, and returned the hug, after taking a second to get over the initial shock. Jaleer was very happy that Taruna had recognize him, and once their hug had ended Taruna would see a big smile on his face. Though this would be the first time she say him shirtless since he still didn't have one on, she would see burns on his chest thought the scars were 4 years old, and 2 long scars on his stomach from the time he taught Aeryun and Kade. Jaleer had heard dawn and after a moment at staring at Jaleer realized he should ask her if she would like to join him and his small group.

"It's great to see you again Taruna, I'm glad to see someone I know here. Hey want to join me, I apparently made a few friends and we are trying to play some ball games?" Jaleer said honestly glad to see Taruna here, maybe Aeryun would be with her since the two seemed close.

"Hey is Aeryun with you?" Jaleer said hoping Aeryun would be here, it would be good to see Aeryun Jaleer thought.

"Oh, well maybe a ball game would be fun." Kalo chipped in, crossing his arms. Despite meeting Jaleer before, he seemed to have completely forgotten who he was. But upon speaking, Jaleer would definitely recognize him as the Captain from his mission on the Corellian run. "In any case, I'll tag along if you want to hang out with these guys."

Looking out of the window Jaz looked at the surroundings the people wandering around having fun,having a romantic walks and things like that, things which Jaz had no experience doing at all not that he wanted to do that who would want to go out with a hutt cartel enforcer even revealing that fact to anybody here might cause abit of trouble especially if somebody here despises any member of the cartel or other criminal groups..so it was best to avoid revealing his affiliation for as long as possible

As he was looking out of the window his ears picked out a sound of plates being moved closer and closer to him so turning his head to look atwhat the noise was and just as he started to turn his head he heard items being placed on the table then a chair being pulled back and just as his eyes reached the source of the noise he saw that his table now had food on it and on a table opposite him was his "date" who's name he hadn't have the pleasure of knowing

"...Well this looks much better than military rations I used to have when I'm flying long range patrols"Jaz started to say looking at the food before focusing his attention on the girl

"Though I don't believe I have the pleasure of knowing your name..so you have me at a bit of an disadvantage"Jaz spoke smirking ever so slightly relaxing his posture just a little
