Trodai looked on as Azar removed the gloves from his hands, half tempted to help but he wasn't sure it was such a good idea. Who knew what he had been working with. Yet below it all, he hoped the plan worked and Trodai himself didn't mess up. He couldn't afford it...not in front of Azar. Not in front of the divine, the Sith'ari. He was looking quite a state in his current condition, but in it's own way he enjoyed it. Seeing him in his element like that. He had seen the Passion and continued to see it. The Power and Strength. Just as he was passionate about his Warrior ways. Although their gifts differed, they were connected in other ways. They enjoying their work and more.

He saw the Sith'ari eyes widen at the book, happy he liked the gift. Smiling, he spoke.

"I'm glad you like it. I couldn't think of a better use for it." As Azar mentioned the fact the great palace library was thought to be lost. He chuckled. Far from it He thought, although he could see why some thought that, given the secrecy of the city. He could see a genuine smile on his Sith'ari lips, and being this close again it was enthralling. So was his eyes. That glimmer of fire.

He saw Azar smirk, a smirk he was becoming familiar with, a indication of his needs. And he was all the willing to oblige. To show his Sith'ari the affection both craved. As Trodai was taken by the wrist and tugged close, to Azar, his Sith'ar wrapping his legs around his hips, Trodai let out a audible sigh of momentary shock. Not expecting Azar to want him right there and then.

He enjoyed the excitement of it all. And the Passion to come.

Kyssiri left with the other assistants, aware of what was about to transpire. All that remained were the Grotthu to serve them. Trodai answered, smiling and growling slightly at the prospect to come.

"Your desires are my own Sith'ari. As is your will so shall I obey."

Sometime after with his own new clothes. Trodai walked with Azar, speaking.

"The library is on the way to the Gardens. Your going to love it both." he said. And so he continued to lead the his Sith'ari. Azar Kressh. Through the winding hallways and followed by the Grotthu at his command. After a while they came upon it. In front lay the library door, large as it was. It required several Grotthu to open but when it did a grand sight awaited.

Inside was a centre hall, followed by a ornate wandering stairway that led to several floors. The first floor was ordinary common books, recent history and the like. The second floor was for Pureblood history and lineage. And the third floor books of alchemy. Rare and exotic books as well.

He lead Azar inside, barring any save the Grotthu to carry any book Azar might want to keep.

"Impressive isn't it Sith'ari? It is good some think it lost with the city, l reckon. Less some take what should not be theirs. To keep them in the right hands. Help yourself to any that takes your fancy. First floor is common books, history, strategy all that. Pureblood history and lineage is the second. Alchemy is top floor. Away from prying eyes."

Azar marveled at the shelves upon shelves stacked with books. While Trodai may have expected Azar to be drawn right to the alchemy books, it was the first floor that caught his fancy. Mundane things like everyday life and rituals of Pureblood were all but lost knowledge in most of Korriban. He eagerly opened up books to read through old nursery rhymes, poems, and simple textbooks used for school children. It all brought him joy as he eagerly rifled through them all, often pointing them out to Trodai here and there.

“My mother used to sing me this one,” He opened up the passage about the little tu’kata pup that grew up too proud and was hunted, “She may have been trying to caution me against my own ambitions,” Azar said with a chuckle, though the smile never reached his eyes.

He kept looking through the books, picking out a few poems. Azar looked over at Trodai at some point, “What brings you happiness, Trodai?” He asked the other man, “And do not mention me, Karys, or anything to do with the Sith faction in your answer,” Azar said sternly.

Trodai became enthralled as Azar started rummaging through the various books as he pointed out some anecdotes and old textbooks for children. He wondered what he would think went he met some himself in the market. It would be interesting, especially with how inquisitive and full of questions some could be.

Trodai chuckled as Azar did. He remembered it well and his own mother had done similar, before she outright rejected him. He doubt given his new outlook and changes, with the rumours no doubt spreading in the palace. She would ever like him again. But she would soon be gone...in time.

He spoke.

"I believe I heard the same tale. Before we fell out."

He continued to listen as poems and rhythms were read. Bobbing his head along as Azar regaled him. When asked what made him happy outside of Azar himself, Karys or things to do with the Order, at first he was stumped. But after some thought he found some things he did like doing and explained them.

"Well the battlefield for one. I find nothing gives me greater pleasure. To know and to see the last moments of someone, only then do you see them what they truly are. Be that a coward or not. And I have found you cannot really know someone unless they are fought, you learn a bit about them, their personality. Like Trael, I learnt a little about him during our bout. He earnt my respect for like me standing his ground."

He thought more "I also enjoy a bit of singing as you know, some dancing, even learning our history. And finally to hunt. To stalk tu'kaka yourself or some beast and feast upon it. Knowing you did it, you caught it. A test of survival and raw instinct. You could say I have a few different hobbies." he chuckled.

He spoke more, opening about the past. Finding he trusted the man.

He sighed and began "There was a time another thing made me happy. This was long before I knew who I was. I was young then, you should of seen me" he laughed "I believe I mentioned I had a heart once at the party, during our dance. It is a sad tale. She was...stolen from me. Rora Sarasashi iv-Hekk. She was my world. It was when she was taken that I began what I became. I promised myself one day I would find out who was responsible and take what they took from me. I never did find out."

Turning to Azar, Trodai spoke again while he held a book. Another with some anecdotes he thought Azar might like.

"And what about yourself? I know some and feel I am getting to know more...but...Sith'ari, I wouldn't mind finding out more from the deities mouth. So to speak, if you want to."

Azar stopped and listened when Trodai spoke of his passions, recalling back to when he heard the other man sing. The memory drew out a smile, “I do remember the singing. I also remember distracting you at some point,” He said with a playful wink. He was on the pole doing his sensual acrobatics when Trodai was singing.

“I have dreamt of a tuk’ata fang necklace and earring set for some time,” He mused, “I’m dreadfully afraid of them,” Azar admitted sheepishly. A Sith’ari was not supposed to have fears, so he wondered if it was problematic that he just blurted that out. Azar was in his own thoughts briefly before Trodai spoke of his own past lover. The story had parallels to his own, but his was far worse in ways.

“Salini Kurvast,” He said, speaking a name he hadn’t uttered in many years, “She was perhaps a foot taller than you and what I considered - at the time - the love of my life,” Azar said, his thoughts far away, “Tuk’ata set upon us and… I fled..like a coward,” He said, gazing away, “Perhaps my fear of them comes from my shame. It took many years for me to no longer have her screams echo in my dreams.”

Azar closed the book he was holding, exhaling. He looked up to meet Trodai’s gaze, offering a faint smile, “I just may worry about you when you’re out in the front lines of battle, Trodai Narat-iv-Adas,” He said, his gaze lingering on the other man’s for a few moments before he looked away.

He took his time exploring the other levels, picking out books that had his ancestral information in it. Out of curiosity, he found one on the Sadow line, deciding this one was worth keeping if Karys truly intended to act on his vengeance. After that, he wandered through the alchemy sections, finally finding one that spoke to making explosives with alchemy. Deciding he had his fill here, he was ready for the next part of the grand tour.

Trodai listened and laughed, he remembered that as well, recalling when Azar had flashed his booty and done a great many other things that night that had changed him into what he now was. He regretted none of it. Smiling in kind,Trodai spoke.

"I do remember that, you were rather distracting. But I think I was too at some points" he laughed, teasing back. When Azar spoke of wanting a Tuk'ata fang necklace and earring set, and of a fear of tuk'ata, an idea formed.

"Well we shall have to see about getting you a set Sith'ari. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone your afraid of a tuk'ata" he winked before speaking again. Listening as he mentioned his own lost love. A fact that surprised him. They were more alike than Trodai knew.

"I see we are more alike than I knew in some ways. You have given me so much advice, allow me to return the favour. If you would permit." he went on "Perhaps, like me it is time to face your shame and fear. Break that chain. Face the tuk'ata and take it's fangs to do as you desire. After our endeavour, I would be willing to help you take out a tuk'ata if you so wish. And permit this. So you may become whole and the Sith'ari you wish to be. Without such a fear." He said solemnly and truthfully.

"Think on it while we see the gardens." He finished, listening to Azar, his Sith'ari as he spoke about possibly missing Trodai out on the battlefield. He laughed and smiled as he replied "Thank you. If I didn't know any better, I would say I have grown on you Azar. Sith'ari" He laughed , offering another wink as he spoke "You don't need to worry about me, I know how to take care of myself. Most of the time." he quipped. "Come, the gardens await"

With that he led Azar, through many more hallways and down ornate stairways until they felt the outside air. There in front lay the gardens with several hanging gardens and stairways that led to a picturesque bridge and water with almost everything within reach. Beyond was a rest area underneath a waterfall where they could shower if they chose. It overlooked another hanging garden, larger than the other and a grand pyramid. The Temple of the Divine. Where only those with 3 digits could enter.

If Azar chose to get closer, he and Trodai could see those without 3 digits to each hand be rejected entry.

Trodai spoke "Welcome, to the hanging gardens of Ur. A oasis within a oasis." he smiled mentioning his arm, and letting Azar see the beauty. And plants of all fauna, some poisonous, some not.

Azar felt uneasy even at the thought of hunting a tuk’ata. He could already hear the growls, see the gleaming eyes. A shudder went through him and he grimaced, “What’s the use of being King if I can’t make others do the difficult jobs for me?” He asked with a playful smile.

When Trodai quipped back about growing on him, Azar’s face actually heated up probably for the first time in the Massassi’s presence. Azar was flustered. He responded by lightly shoving Trodai, trying to hide a coy smile, “Shut up,” He mumbled, embarrassed as he watched after Trodai striding off confidently after that jab.

Azar remained standing there watching the Massassi walk away. He had been with the other man multiple times now, had humiliated him by making him act like a cat in the past, had seen Cyutadakyr openly disrespect him, had seen him stumble and fumble through every mess possible. And yet Trodai remained unyielding through it all. Azar didn’t believe in Trodai's devotion when he first arrived, he believed Trodai’s principles to be as fleeting as the wind. But when he replayed all of those moments again, they all played out differently - he saw himself telling Trodai not to take that potion, he saw himself snapping Cyu’s neck when she disrespected him, and he saw himself gazing upon Trodai for the very first time.

“Perhaps I will ensure you return safely to me..” Azar said under his breath quietly, far too low for Trodai to hear as he walked away.

He was caught up again, his normal demeanor back in place, the distant and larger than life presence back in full form.

Azar stared in wonder at the gardens, letting Trodai guide him through the different sections. The pyramids, the waterfalls, all of it was magnificent. Every now and then Azar stopped to marvel at the different plants and weeds. He was shocked all of this could even grow on Korriban - no one would ever guess it was just a wide desert outside of here.

Azar noticed the Temple of the Divine, feeling a pulse of the Force from within its walls. He felt that same sense of superiority at being permitted entry.

“Can you commune with the spirits here?” He asked Trodai, genuinely impressed.

Trodai listened carefully as Azar spoke, and appearing to deflect from his suggestion. But he understood, and instead smiled as he spoke, correcting Azar on only one thing.

"True, but you are wrong on one thing, you are not a King. You are a Sith'ari." he winked as he reminded him of who he was with his own playful smile. He laughed and chuckled as he saw Azar's face change colour, giving him a light shove and telling Trodai to shut up playfully. So he did have a soft spot for him afterall. Now he knew that he was growing on him, which brought a sense of joy.

"I thought so." He quipped, winking.

He liked how their lives although different had also been parallel. Sharing a similar past in some respects, it only made him admire what he had accomplished so far more. As a Sith though he knew, there should be no attachment. But he couldn't help but become attached somewhat...not now with all that had been said and done. When they were...getting closer. And he knew it was dangerous. But he didn't care at the moment. Why should he not allow this one attachment. Ever if it wasn't returned.

He walked off after his jab confident strides in his step, far from the nervous wreck he had once been. Ever since he had come out, he noticed the change, and he liked it. He smiled as Azar caught up "There you are, I wondered if I lost my Sith'ari for a moment." He joked before falling silent, allowing Azar to take in the sights, sounds and smells as among the branches were several species of aviation.

He even let Azar take a few that held a particular fancy. After taking some and a look around, the two headed towards the temple. Stepping inside when posed with the question, Trodai thought upon it. After a short while he spoke, considering the rumours and what he had heard about this place. He smiled back as Azar was grinning, looking impressed. Trodai was happy he was enjoying himself.

He took him up the Ritual of the Divine temple steps, allowing a moment to marvel at the architecture and statues situated outside.

Depicting ancient Pureblood deities. Inside was a large hall with candles and a gathering. Purebloods stood holding incense and conducting archaic rituals all trying to contact the spirits. And all had 3 digits, female or male. Even children were present. One particular Pureblood child got curious and started looking at Azar. With wonder and curiosity.

He looked noting the child , no younger than 12, a female, who approached, bold as brass and without fear or hesitation and spoke to Azar "Who is he! His new! I like his jewels, I hope to have more some day too!" Trodai laughed, kneeling to reach eye level.

"This is Azar Kreshh. This is your Sith'ari., You are expected to bow little one." He turned to Azar and rose up. Smiling. "This is Karai, she is one of the newer born. She is noble from the House of Brasganu, a vassal who look after the temple. An ally. Forgive her curiosity, she is ever curious, observant and loves jewellery." He laughed as she did as told.

"Sorry Mr Kressh! I didn't mean not to, honest! I like you" She decided "Hope to see you soon!" said before running off. Trodai laughed once more.

Then he heard his question. He pondered on it, wondering if the rumours were true.

"To be honest Azar, Sith'ari. I don't really know. But if rumour and legend is to be believed, some say you can. Yes. That within if you focus long enough. Meditate in the Darkness, you can contact a spirit of a ancient. A Sith bound to the temple. No-one knows who they are though."

Pausing he spoke again.

"You are welcome to try Sith'ari. We both are. But as always there is a cost to speak to those beyond they say. Just step inside the altar room and pay your sacrifice, face what lies within, and focus they say to speak to the dead. They say there is a chance to earn favour or a boon." he said motioning towards the room at the end of the hall. Where sat a smaller room with a altar and a spot to sit in a ritual circle. Surrounded by candles. Upon the altar sat the knife and channel to pour some blood. Beside it a pedestal with the orb itself, otherworldly and glowing. A relic of ancient times still potent today. A doorway to the spirits.

Azar stared at the child, not immediately offended. He didn’t miss how Trodai knelt down to eye level with the girl, kindly explaining things to her. How had Trodai maintained these qualities while being raised in such a brutal and elitist household? How had he kept his resolve after being torn down by his own mother? He deserved to have someone love him with their whole heart. Azar smiled sadly at him, though his attention was back on the child at once.

“You will see me,” He said with a smile at the girl as she ran off.

Once they entered the temple, Azar listened to the explanation. He knew the old rules - everything had a price. Much of his sorcery had a price as well. After a moment of pause, Azar simply smiled.

“I am Sith’ari,” Azar said, his voice firm, “I make my own destiny. I earn my favors on my own merit. I will not barter for it,” He looked around, “Perhaps one day centuries from now others will arrive here to commune with my spirit after I earn my place here.”

He lingered there for a while, hearing the distant echoes of spirits and feeling the ripples of the Force. It was in its purest form, in ways the outsiders would deem ‘Dark’. But it was perfection in a way they could never understand. It was the Force in its raw, unadulterated form, born of the most basic and fundamental emotions. It was the Force as it was meant to be without the influence of outsiders.

He wouldn’t forget this place anytime soon. When he had children, he would bring them here to remind them of their lineage.

“This place knows no single name,” Azar said with a smile, “Adas is here, Kressh is here, Sadow is here, Ragnos is here…even the ancient spirits of those that eventually became the desert tribes are here,” Azar added with a knowing grin.

“When my crown is fashioned,” He said, “I want it to have a gem from each of these houses and even one to recognize an Emir of the Desert. Because I will recognize them all,” Azar turned to look at Trodai, “Our division has led us to near extinction. I will not be more of the same.”

He didn’t touch the orb despite how much he desired it. Azar finally turned away to leave the temple, “You feel like taking your Sith’ari on a date?” He called over his shoulder with a playful smirk.

Trodai looked on curiously as Azar looked at the child, and smiled when he said she would see him around. Indicating this was perhaps not a short trip, that Azar was looking to stay a while. He wasn't surprised really after everything that happened on Thule. It had changed things and not just for Azar or Karys. Trodai was also still a little conflicted about those events. But he didn't voice it, it was better that way.

Once inside the temple and having explained, Trodai was surprised Azar chose not to converse with the spirits. He respected what he said and understood. He observed and listened as his Sith'ari listed out all the ancestors of every clan and house, invigorating Trodai at the thought of it.

"Perhaps I will too, someday at least. For even the Sith'ari needs his top general in the afterlife." he quipped, although he didn't know if it were true or not but he hoped so. Trodai felt the power here too, the ripples, it hard not to feel it to one connected to the Force. Trodai smiled as Azar further explained his vision for Korriban and beyond. He was happy to assist with it. With his words alone he was proving he was indeed worthy. At least to Trodai.

And his power seemed to back the words. When he mentioned a crown, Trodai listened before speaking up again "I have no doubt you will accomplish this Sith'ari. You will do what none before has, save my own ancestor, Adas. If you would want such a crown, I know just the place to make it. The best jeweller in the city. If you want I can take you there today. Perhaps we can try out some jewels." he teased and joked.

Azar's next comment caught Trodai by surprise as they were leaving the temple. He got a little flustered before swiftly regaining composure. It was unexpected. To be asked by his Sith'ari on a date. He couldn't deny during the time they had spent together he was getting closer. But he also knew so far as he was aware that Karys was Azar's heart, which was why the offer surprised him.

And yet he couldn't deny the excitement and joy he felt at being asked. And he couldn't deny while they had been here, being around each other more and more, that he began to feel more and more as time went on. And so he answered, smiling, his joy and elation evident. His heart thumping a little at the prospect.

"You really have to ask me that?" he teased, laughing "Of course I would. I was beginning to wonder if I should ask. But I wasn't sure how to approach the matter..delicate as it is. And I didn't want to distract you, I loved hearing you speak of your ideas and the spirits" he laughed "Perhaps a tour of the market and city if you like? Followed by a surprise, one you'll love I'm certain." he teased and winked. He knew just where to take him in the city and what to see, followed by a visit to the hot springs with food and refreshments. And whatever else awaited after and beyond. He had it all planned, if he was to take his Sith'ari on a date he would make it special indeed. A date worthy of a Sith and a deity.

He wasn't skipping any of the trimmings.

Azar allowed Trodai to lead the way through the cities, “Let’s not announce the Sith’ari business for a moment,” He instructed the other man, wanting to simply blend in and experience the city as a nobody. The Pureblood even took the time to dress down a bit, purchasing a vest that looked more modest than the ornate attire he wore underneath.

He took in sight of the stalls and markets of various merchants selling food, jewelry and trinkets. Azar smiled as he walked, his head on a swivel as he look all around them, “Dreshdae has these markets, but there are lots of Outsiders milling about at all times,” He thought nothing of it initially, but seeing nothing but his own kin all around made him realize how different it was to be in a genuinely pureblood city.

“There was a man that used to sell freshly baked bread. I would habitually swipe one from him every morning and he never knew who the thief was,” Azar said with a smirk, “He was one of those silly Kissai that were prejudiced against Massassi so he always blamed one of them when they walked by. Never realized it was me all along,” The Pureblood chuckled at the memory.

“When I first went out into the galaxy, I tried so hard to deny who I was, what I was born to do, and even my natural skills,” Azar mused aloud, “I picked up the blade, turned my back on the path I was on and what my family expected of me…I felt better when I returned to it all,” He glanced at Trodai, “Makes me wonder if we truly have a choice or if fate is defined for us and we simply stumble our way back into it regardless of how many detours we take.”

Trodai listened and nodded, following Azar request and likewise dressing down a bit. It was a welcome change, to just be normal for a time without the pressures of who he was or represented. As a Adas. He smiled as he led Azar through the market to many stalls, standing like a patient dark guardian as he perused and took his time.

He smiled and laughed as Azar did as he spoke of the markets of his birth city, Dreshdae. He remembered them as well from visiting very occasionally in the past. He didn't much like it, outsiders always trying rob or scam you with exorbitant fees even for the nobility.

Trodai spoke "Sounds like it was fun. In my case we were never given a choice. Not really. It was either you steal or you starve and die...but don't get caught or you were severely beaten. Such is the Massassi Akoge. Mine was on Ziost before I was returned after to Korriban and met Rora. Although we did have some fun" he recalled the memory "There was a prejudiced guy there too. So we put a baby scorpion, not enough poison to kill just enough to give him a headache, into his pants while he slept. Should of seen him run in the snow with them around his ankles." he laughed "I know a baker, you can try some of the local bread here. If you want."

As they continued walking and Azar spoke about denying which he was when he first went into the galaxy, fate, having no choice or simply stumbling. He considered it. Given all that happened to Trodai himself, he thought perhaps there was something to it.

"I was the same, at least to a extent. Although I never denied my skills, only who I was and my lineage. You saw what I was before we spoke properly didn't you. At the party" he winked "I tried so hard to deny who and what I was. It was stupid of me really. Yet it is strange how our lives run so parallel and how we never met before, yet somehow ended up as we did."

He answered the question "I have come to believe it might be a bit of both. What came before was just a series of tests, to see that I was ready, perhaps it was the same for you too. The Magick and the Darkness within working mysteriously as it does. Perhaps we were fated to in part have our paths meet but not quite as it did. Or in such a way as things turned out. The rest...well it was just a series of funny detours as you said, but ones I do not regret. I might not have met you otherwise." he smiled, looking into Azar eyes briefly as he said it.

And with that, he led the way forward, his heart calmer and the confidence on full display. He was enjoying this, just being them. Knowing more about each other in ways few ever would and trying to find the answers to certain mysteries.

"Come, the baker is just up ahead and the jeweller too. You did say something about piercing." he teased, chuckling as he went.

When Trodai told him the story about the scorpion, Azar actually burst out laughing. By habit he once again covered his mouth and looked away, still not accustomed to openly laughing. However, the image had him in a fit of laughter, a soft and trilling sound that one would never expect from a feared and cutthroat potion master, “Remind me not to get on your bad side,” He said with a smile, imagining the horrors of having one of those scorpions anywhere near his nether regions.

He was still musing about fate and destiny when Trodai explained his perspective on it. Azar could agree with the convergence of magick and destiny. He began to speculate further until Trodai paused to remark about all the paths that integrated to allow him to meet Azar. The sentiment gave him pause, and for a moment he simply stared at Trodai. The comment was so surprisingly sweet that it drew out a smile from Azar. Without a word, he grasped the front of Trodai’s clothing and tugged him close to kiss him. The benefit of being nobodies right now meant no one batted an eye at the simple gesture. They had kissed before, always in the heat of some carnal encounter, but it was different this time. It was gentle and affectionate, and it was Azar’s answer to the sentiment Trodai remarked out loud.

Azar drew back and said nothing more, walking alongside the taller pureblood as they ventured towards this baker. He could smell it before they arrived and Azar visibly looked excited, “I’m getting hungry already!” He said cheerfully, “I won’t steal this time though,” He said with a playful wink. Forking over a few coins, he bought himself a pastry. Azar eagerly tried it before paying for several more and sharing with the Massassi. Trodai would learn very quickly that Azar had a sweet tooth and had a general penchant for trying various types of cuisine.

After Azar had his fill, he rinsed off his hands and followed Trodai to the jeweler. He marveled at the various earring options, picking out several to line his lobes and helix. There were several golden studs and rings. He even began to survey some nose piercings before looking over at Trodai, “Where would you like to get yours?” Azar asked curiously, “What is common of…” He trailed off, not mentioning Adas out loud. They didn’t need to draw attention just yet.

Trodai laughed with Azar as he covered his mouth, he found it rather endearing. So princely and godly. He listened as he spoke of hoping never to get on his bad side, which amused him. He doubted it. Trodai spoke in kind as they walked, showing the side of himself few ever saw. The side that was hidden from the Order.

"Oh why not?" he said with a silly smirk "Who says my bad side is not a good thing." he joked, teasing. And then the conversation got serious soon after as the two discussed fate and destiny. Trodai wasn't entirely sure why he revealed his thoughts like he did, but it was his truth. And he saw no need to lie, he couldn't if he wanted too. He saw the smile Azar gave but what came next he did not expect. With no words, just gentle, intimate, passion. Trodai found himself in momentary shock as he was dragged by his clothes and kissed intimately.

His heart was set on fire. In that moment, everything else blurred out as time and space itself seemed to stop, at least through his eyes. In that moment he knew, all those feelings he felt were real. And that Azar seemed to now in part share the same, made him happy. Made him smile. And for the first time in years and stronger than that night and several after, he felt whole, a flame where only a deep abyss had been.

Although nothing needed to be said, Trodai understood.

He laughed as Azar mentioned getting hungry already "We are almost there. Don't worry!" he cheerfully replied in kind and laughed as he mentioned not stealing anything "Oh? Why not? Who doesn't like a chase through the market by a sword or lanvarok wielding angry guard." he joked. As they arrived he noticed Azar and his fondness for pastry and had a large sweet tooth. He was a foodie.

But it only made him, love it more especially when they shared. All life's other problems, momentarily forgotten. He had good taste. After cleaning up, he continued to escort Azar, entering the jewellers and watching with a affectionate, caring eye as Azar tried out various earring options until he found some to his liking.

Posed with the question, Trodai thought upon it.

"Usually a few ear rings and nose piercing. Although I never really bothered with it...until I recalled how integral it is to who I am. Some traditions should never be forgotten. Just as some people" he winked before speaking again "You know, I hear there is a festival today down the road. It's the Day of the Departed. Only happens once a year if I remember. They are especially extravagant here. Care to take a look?" he inquired.

“Do you know how to fight with a lankvarok?” Azar asked curiously. It was a tricky weapon, and his former girlfriend had taught him how to use one. She had helped him craft one of his own, though he hadn’t used it for years now. The pureblood either avoided direct combat or channeled the Force in different ways for combat.

“Come on, let me do your piercings for you,” Azar said with a smile. The jeweler gave a scowl, but Azar largely ignored it. He took one of the needles, sterilizing it with pyro as he told Trodai to take a seat, “Do you trust me?” He asked quietly with a smile, leaning in close. Azar’s focus was on Trodai’s ear as he prepared the needle, “Just relax..” He murmured shortly before he pierced his ear. It was quick and painless, and he did the same with the other ear.

Azar selected some pointed earrings that were far more masculine than what he himself wore. He placed the earrings in Trodai’s ears, stepping back to admire them, “You look very handsome,” He said with a smile, leaning in close to whisper against his ear, “I’d have you now if there weren’t so many people around,” He said mischievously with a playful laugh before drawing back.

“I used to celebrate Day of the Departed,” Azar said as they started walking again, “We would don masks we made and attempt to commune with the spirits of our ancestors. Sometimes we made a trip to Moraband for it and it was rather…eerie,” He mused as he thought back to the haunted tombs and valleys.

When Trodai said festival, it was an understatement - there were huge crowds, lanterns floating through the air, skeletal designs and masks all around. It was a jubilant and exciting atmosphere and it put Azar in a great mood.

Trodai considered the question as they walked. In truth he did know how to...or at least a bit. For He had acquired a Sith based lanvarok some time ago, while he and his brother had been on better terms. It was a gift from the tombs. He spoke, nodding as he did "I know a little...at least the more Sith design. I recently acquired one, and have trying to practice. As for the more traditional sort, of our ancestors. Not so much, I admit I am a little out of practise on that front" he admitted "Perhaps I could be convinced to take it up again." he teased.

It was then Trodai sat in the jewellers chair. He consented, even despite the jeweller scowling at the two of them and mumbling under his breath in disgust. He nodded, speaking calmly, looking into Azar eyes as he leaned close, asking if Trodai trusted him. Trodai knew the answer before he even spoke it "Without question."

He allowed Azar to work, staying deadly still as he applied the pyro and then the first year ring. He felt the slight pain but endured it, such was his way. As Azar admired him, Trodai flashed a smile back "As do you. As always." he said before Azar leaned to his ear and made his mischievous suggestion. He almost laughed, instead chuckling under his breath. He spoke back "I don't doubt it. I feel the same way." he replied after adding a few more rings and a nose piercing were applied. He spoke solemnly "For are we not the same?" he said teasingly and yet serious all at once. Extending a hand as if to make his point. With both sharing 3 digits on each hand.

Trodai stood to show off his new look and hair style along with wearing the ear rings Azar had pierced him with. Having had it sorted by a stylist while he had waited. He was happy with both the new look and with Azar. Now knowing the feelings seemed mutual. Trodai listened as Azar spoke of the festival, acquainted with it. Knowing more interested him. A idea sprang to mind when he mentioned Moraband. Something for the future. Trodai took Azar through the crowd smiling, laughing and at times dancing with and around him. Joining the festivities.

Trodai was also in a great mood.

He stopped only for a moment, spotting a little stall with something he thought Azar would definitely like. Remembering something he had earlier been told. There he made three purchases, hiding all behind his back, he spoke "Close your eyes a moment, and open your hands. As you told me...trust me. No cheating either" he laughed, referring to the Magick.

Only then did he place a Ornate Tuk'ata Fang necklace, a pair of Tuk'ata Bone Earrings and a Sacrificial Ceremonial Tuk'ata Bone Knife within. And being gentle closed them. Speaking and letting Azar know to open his eyes.

"Open your eyes Azar, and enjoy. I remember you said you wanted a pair of tuk'ata fang ear rings and necklace...although I may have gotten carried away and got a knife too." he joked referring to the ceremonial knife as well.

"Hope you like them" he said smiling, hoping he could put them on for him before continuing.

Azar was caught off guard when Trodai loosened up enough to start dancing along at the festival. He hesitated at first, but soon found himself joining in, laughing as he did so. The atmosphere was cheerful and far removed from wars and the overall state of the galaxy. He began to sink back into life on Korriban - wondering if he ever truly needed to leave. He felt like a teenager again, no sense of direction, no real sense of responsibility beyond being spoiled, and celebrating with others.

Azar paused when Trodai asked him to close his eyes. He quirked a brow at Trodai initially, but he obliged eventually. He felt Trodai placing things on him, but he kept his eyes closed, his curiosity almost overwhelming. When he was finally allowed to open them again, he gasped audibly. Such things would cost an exorbitant amount even for royalty. A complete set was unheard of, “Trodai how…when..” He could only half form words, entirely fascinated by the gifts.

“I love them,” Azar said finally, emotions written all over his face. The smile didn’t quite reach his eyes, his heart was still shattered from the events of the fight. However, he couldn’t deny how thoughtful the gesture was, “You truly are so very different from what I assumed..” Azar said, “I misjudged you entirely, Trodai,” He said, “I do not deserve your forgiveness for what I did with the potion…” He looked down at his feet, shame in his eyes, “You are someone to treasure and cherish, not humiliate and disrespect,” Azar said before he leaned into embrace him tightly, “But I must ask your forgiveness all the same. I ask it not as a king, not Sith’ari, none of that.. But as just Azar.”

Trodai enjoyed every moment as the two danced, laughed and chuckled all along the streets. Like there were no cares, yet both knew different. As Azar quicker an eye he chuckled, knowing he was curious. It was almost exhilarating to keep him in the suspense but he decided to not prolong the wait, revealing the gifts.

Seeing Azar gasp, and from only half words, questioning the how or why he simply laughed. Only after they were properly placed did he answer "I had the Grotthu scout and scour the city while you were getting those ear rings of yours. I just had to arrange it so I could run into that particular stall. They are known for being adept hunters and makers of fine bone jewellery."

Then he heard Azar say he loved them, it made him smile more. He was happy he did and that he seemed to be doing relatively ok despite the fight back on Thule. At least on the outside. He didn't dwell on it, it was not his place. Listening, his heart skipped a beat as Azar started how he had misjudged the Massassi. Saying he was a treasure to cherish. He looked into Azar eyes, enthralled by the words, and as he added for forgiveness for his cat potion prank, Trodai shook his head.

As Azar leaned in to embrace him, he spoke solemnly.

"As simply Trodai, I accept it, although you need not have asked it. It was a lesson that humbled me...one of a few. And in it's own way was freeing. Without it, would we have met properly? I do not know. As I told you, I have no regrets for what happened. Come, there is more to see. And I still got one more surprise for you." he winked before leading the way. They went past the colosseum arena where if there had been more time, he would have showed him a few fights. But time was now moving on and so he went to the surprise.

Trodai smiled, holding a hand to lead the way. He lead deep into the city and out the other end close to the palace. From there he took Azar upwards, guiding between the mountain pass, ancient but secure with a Grotthu entourage. Trodai knew if his timing was right they would arrive at the hot springs in time for a sunset viewing of the city and the views beyond. They soon arrived and there ahead lay the Hot Springs with a mini lake. Ahead was the sunset view.

Trodai bowed as he spoke "Welcome to the Kishan Hot Springs. Perfect at this time, when the weather changes a little. Not many in the city know of this place. It's a rare natural beauty...like yourself." He teased "It's fed by the Kishan mountain and the Jen'ari River. I once took Rora up here. For the sunset view at this time is like none other on Korriban. You can see the city and the canyons all around. And it's nice and quiet...no crowds."

He spoke more upon it. "I often come here to think and for solitude, for my martial katas. Seems fitting I should bring you here. It is a special place. I had the Grotthu prepare for our arrival with any food or drink. Picked up from the market." he said smiling "So what you think of your surprise? Do you like what you see Azar?" he queried.

Azar kept his gaze on the fighting arena as they walked past it. Fighting was absolutely one of his favorite sports to observe. He reminded himself to revisit that place, though it didn’t appear to have an event happening right that moment. Azar walked with Trodai as he took him through the city and up through a mountain pass. It would become abundantly clear that Azar was not a fan of hiking or a lot of physical activity. Even a few moments into it, he asked if they were there yet several times. He wanted to sit down and waste time on several occasions.

He gasped when they finally arrived at their destination, looking from the hot springs to the stunning sunset. It made the annoying journey completely worth it. Azar took it all in for a while until Trodai asked what he thought. He took a moment to stare at the view before he finally answered.

“I very much like what I see,”
Azar said at last with a fond smile, though his gaze was on Trodai and not the hot springs or the waterfalls.

He could appreciate how secluded it was here. Names and roles didn’t have to matter. He could choose to be Azar or he could be Sith’ari or anything else, and none would be the wiser. Azar shrugged off his clothing easily enough, the last rays of the sun bathing his crimson skin. He stepped into the hot spring, slowly immersing himself as he prepared for the cool air of the desert in the night. He stayed extremely close to the edge, still not entirely over his phobia of open water. He wouldn't go anywhere near the lake itself.

“What led you to leave Korriban entirely?” Azar asked Trodai.

Trodai observed as Azar marvelled at the fighting arena. He too wished it had been open, but such was the way of things. You never could fit everything in. Trodai led the way diligently, making sure Azar watched his step and didn't stumble at any point, chuckling a bit as he kept asking if they were there. He remembered in future, to take a quickie route, Aza r didn't seem to like hikes. But he understood it wasn't for everyone. Yet this was worth the wait.

Trodai smiled as Azar took in the sights, sounds and smells.

"I thought you might." he replied, teasing in kind. Joining Azar, Trodai sunk next to him, sticking in kind to the edge upon noticing Aza r didn't want to go further into the lake. He wasn't bothered, so long they were here together. If Azar let him he would begin to massage the shoulders as he spoke.

"They say if you wish upon a star from here, all your dreams may come true." Trodai said as he also admired the seclusion, and the memories here, better memories. As he was thinking upon it Azar posed a question. Trodai listened and thought upon it...it was a dark chapter of his life. But somehow he knew it might eventually come up. And so more was revealed, what few ever knew but himself.

Not even his brother knew most of what he was about to tell.

He spoke solemnly, letting out a audible sigh as he calmly explained.

"I knew you might ask eventually...but I am happy to discuss it. It is better to face your past than avoid it entirely. It is a dark chapter in my life. I told you about Rora, but not the circumstances around her death, and what happened after."

He paused a moment, before continuing "I was on Dromund Kaas at the time, visiting another of the hidden cities in the jungle. House Hekk sorting out some political rivals for Adas and worries when I got word of her assassination. I got back just in time to see the body." Azar would feel the emotions, the rage below at not being back sooner.

"My mind snapped and my body followed. I felt the Darkness take hold, consume me. For truly the first time. Completely unrestrained, un-trained and unfocused I am told I went on a rampage. A bloodlust driven trance. Mother said my scream was so loud several ears popped and bled. But who knows what really happened. All I know is that by the end, many were dead and I sat among the carnage. It is partly why she hates me."

He went on, sounding somewhat ashamed of it "I was a coward too. I fled when I should have faced the consequences. Instead the trauma erased my memory...for a time. But not my abilities. I took a ship, disappeared from the sight of the Korriban and my home. I travelled the galaxy, as a mercenary. Learnt many languages and eventually ended up on Tatooine. I worked as a enforcer and security for a local orphanage. Low paid but it was work. I hated it but two grew on me."

He recalled the memories, of Khlan Gonk and Scorpio Armegedon. The first meeting, it made him smile. That was before everything changed.

"Khlan Gonk, a Acolyte who came with me to the Order. And another, Scorpio Armegedon, who parted ways. Never knew what happened to him. Still don't. When a better job came up, more mercenary work, better paid I took my chance and Khlan came with me. We had a good arrangement. I killed what he couldn't, he was the assassin and medic. A friend, one of the few outsiders I would consider as such. Soon after a assignment during this time, my long repressed memories started to return."

He continued, recalling it all. Strange as it seemed, like a tale from a story. "I was led to Ziost. There I entered a tomb...and the spirit of my ancestor restored everything. Told me my heritage, my lineage. That someday my purpose would become clear. That I was chosen to reclaim my blood-right as an Adas. As an heir. And seek the inheritors of our people's power. To seek the Sith, to train my body and mind in preparation. I searched a few more years until I went to Tatooine. Convinced by Khlan that I might find a clue there. In a old vault. Little did I know, a Sith of the Order was among our expedition group. The rest as they say...kind of fell into it's place itself."

Trodai thought upon it, chuckling a little as he smiled and spoke. It certainly had been a unexpected journey, but he was not wanting to change it. For all the troubles, in the end things were falling into place. And he had found something more along the way.

"Your the first I have actually discussed all this with. Isn't it funny. When I first started my search, I was sceptical of fate, destiny and all that. I denied my lineage despite knowing it. But seeing what I have, what you have done. And not just for myself. And the path as I travelled it. It changed things..well now I think I do believe in entwined destiny, of the Darkness, Magick helping in some ways and not others. A combination of factors. As we discussed. I certainly didn't expect my search to lead to you. But am glad it did." he smiled , this time choosing to look Azar in the eyes as he said it.

Azar listened quietly as Trodai told his story, relaxing as the other man massaged his shoulders. Over the past few days, Trodai had quickly picked up exactly how Azar liked to be touched and it was clear massages were his favorite. He leaned close against Trodai, his back close to his chest. His eyes were closed as he listened. He truly did enjoy the sound of Trodai’s voice over time. It felt like rambling at first, but it was soothing now.

At the end of it, the Pureblood was silent, his thoughts far away as he gazed into that horizon with the setting sun. He felt Trodai’s arms around him and he was perfectly content. However, his thoughts lingered on the man’s words, his actions, and everything up until that point. Purebloods had their way of passions, of committing hearts and having it mean loyalty. Until then Azar had seen it as just that. But here in this moment as they sat together and he replayed the various gestures, the deep vulnerabilities Trodai showed him, his mind began to swirl.

“Trodai..” He said quietly, “Are you in love with me?” Azar asked before turning to look into the man’s eyes.
