"My fellow brethren of the Chiss Ascendancy," Kodo'ran'nuruodo began. "I come to you from the Imperator's Palace of Csilla, with information to ease our people's confusion." Dorann sat calmly behind the desk as he addressed the Chiss population. The broadcast was streaming across the Ascendancy's territories as well as the high command of their Sith allies.

"Our leaders, Taraph'yuri'nuruodo and Arch'ao'nuruodo, the Prime Legatus and Imperator himself, have abandoned us. Their sudden disappearance left our government in the darkness, but we are freed from our blindness. Through the efforts of those loyal to the Ascendancy have risen up and maintained our empire," Dorann continued, feeling stressed and conflicted as he spoke.

It was true, the Ascendancy was left to scramble amongst themselves for a short time, but the disappearance of the Imperator and his right hand was unexplainable. Even Xaphan, the originator and leader of the Immortals was nowhere to be found, and only their generals could be reached. Dorann was one of these generals who'd gathered others to maintain order. The Grand Marshall promised his people answers and a sense of security, but there was no evidence to the disappearances. It was possible that the triad went into hiding, perhaps in attempts for an undercover sabotage, but it was just as likely that they'd been assassinated.

"A new form of government has been implemented in the Ascendancy," Dorann continued, bringing the newly formed council to light. "A new caste of leadership has been brought to our empire, made up of the Ascendancy's most trusted of generals and advisers," the Grand Marshall announced. "The Council of Eminence holds four prime seats at its table, with myself as the temporary Grand Imperator," Dorann revealed his authority over the holonet with a grain of salt behind pleasant lips. It was without his wishes that the position be bestowed upon him, but the others to have stepped up chose their sects of government among the Ascendancy. Dorann would accept this burden for now, but only until a replacement could be appointed.

"The Council divides its attention throughout the Ascendancy, each to manage their own sect," the Grand Imperator explained. "Derro'An'Nuruodo will act at the head of our military as our Tactical Commander, as well as my right hand of authority," Dorann presented. Roann would serve as second in command of the Chiss people, and lead in Dorann's stead. He was authorized to direct their Empire of expansion as he saw fit. Their forces in the Expansionary Defense Force had already established the Ascendancy's territory along the edge of the Inner Rim.

"Our newly established territory has already been fortified and acted upon. New civilians in the Ascendancy will be given full rights and benefits of citizenship, as well as protection amongst Chiss space," he added. The Tactical Commander was already in progress of positioning defensive orbital bases around the planets, and faster hyperspace routes were being logged and recorded.

Dorann prepared to announce the next council member, deciding to reinforce this people's sense of security. "Arch'elie'lia will now serve as the head of Chiss Intelligence, implementing new forms of security and moderation of our territory. This is for your utmost protection, and we will stop at nothing to ensure our people's safety against acts of terrorism. That last announcement actually made Dorann feel a bit better about his conflicted emotions. While there wasn't an entirety of truth in his broadcast, it was comforting to know that his people would at least feel safe.

Lastly, Kres'ten'nuruodo will now stand a figurehead of the Immortal Order. In Xaphan's footsteps, he will oversee the training and deployment of our shock troops. Fear not, these are warriors of honor and protection. Should our empire ever come under attack, our defenders will fight off our assailants. Nuru Krest will also be managing dual-establishment with our Sith allies. Together with the Sith Order, the Immortals will ascend above our enemies, and bring them to their knees," the Grand Marshall finished.

"It is with this news that I assure you, the Ascendancy will not lie back as our enemies strike at us or our allies. The sinister Imperial Knights have already been brought to justice for their terrorism and acts of unnecessary warfare. Details on these events can be found in Sith records, and our own alliance dictates mutual protection. We sympathize with our darker brothers, in their efforts against the tyrannical Jedi Alliance. It was not the Sith, but the Jedi that started this war. Even their allies, the Mandolorians seem to insult in appearances. A recent bombing implies possible activity, and our new Head of Intelligence will thoroughly investigate this with our first joint-operative with the Sith Order, Master Oonoo," Dorann carried on his speech with ease, giving the population a better sense of communication. It was vital to uphold that sense of loyalty.

"This is your Grand Imperator, Kodo'ran'nuruodo, and you have my blessings. May our people rest easy and prosper," the previous Grand Marshall concluded. As the holonet broadcast came to a closure, Dorann leaned back in his seat an lit the first cigarette of his life. He had a feeling it would be a consistent companion for a very long time...
