Budding Terrorist Organization Takes Root​

Fanatics calling themselves the "Insurgency" threaten Empire in latest broadcast​

After a recent breach in Imperial Communications, a radical cell christening themselves as the "Insurgency" made an unauthorized broadcast in the hopes of rousing those under the gracious Empire into needless violence. His proclamation has been called an "act of terrorism" by the Council of Five, who has also declared that any who aid or encourage such "destruction of order" will be tried for treason and publicly executed.

As for Hadrian König Richter (@Aberforth), leader of this organization and once ill-famed Senator for the late Republic, has been likewise condemned by the Empire as a fugitive terrorist, with the latter having issued a several million credit bounty for his head.

While rumors of insurrectionary activity have circulated across the HoloNet, the Empire has insured the public that it will do everything in its power to protect civilian lives and forestall the bloodshed this "Insurgency" yearns to unleash on the galaxy.

Jedi Order Advance Against Ord Mantell​

A rise in Jedi activity on the planet continues to threaten Imperial security​

More than a dozen people were found murdered on Ord Mantell after a number of incursions by the Jedi Order (@Undine). Analysists have suggested the Order is plotting to occupy the world as a staging ground for a full-fledged invasion into the Core. As such, the Empire continues to fortify major hyperlanes throughout the Mid-Rim, imposing rigid search and seizure mandates for those seeking to set foot into the Core. Indiscriminate bounties for Jedi found in or around the sector have also been released to the public.

We plan to bring you more reports on the state of Ord Mantell, and the potential dangers of a Jedi invasion into the Core.

Surrender of Ithor Reveals Who's Truly Evil​

Jedi Order sends armed escort fleet to Agamar after peaceful resolution over Ithor​

A released recording of the exchange between the current Moff of Coruscant (@Ecclessey) and the Jedi Grandmaster (@Valen Pelora) revealed a bloodless, peaceful resolution concerning the recovery of captured Legionnaires. Despite the promise of civilian ships to ferry the prisoners to Agamar, a later report revealed the Grandmaster had sent an armed fleet alongside the prisoners.

In addition, the Jedi refused to offer the unarmed Moff the decency of an audience, choosing instead to hide behind the visage of a hologram.

The revelation is only a testament to the lies the Jedi, and the mistrust we as an Empire should all carry in the presence of one. The recording can also be found here.

Criminal Activity Booms Across The Galaxy​

Shocking escalation in organized crime since the Insurgency broadcast​

Since the promulgation of the Insurgency, there has been a significant rise in criminal activity throughout the Outer-Rim. Particularly, an organized band of pirates (@Faster Than Light) calling themselves the "Blackbirds," and perhaps the first pirate faction in years, has recently made its debut around Greater Javin, with rumors of activity on Bespin. While the Council of Five, nor the Imperial administration, has yet to publicly comment on the correlative hike in crime, bounties, illegal or otherwise, have been issued to quell the turmoil.

For those looking to travel outside of the Core, and away from the protection of the Empire— be wary. It is a dangerous galaxy out there.

Overview: Obliteration of the Protectorate​

New Supreme Commander calls for the extermination of the Kjlljk Protectorate​

In later news, the recently-appointed Supreme Commander (@Ecclessey) released a public statement calling for the "obliteration of the Kjlljk Protectorate," for reasons unknown. His words have echoed throughout the Legion however, and likewise the Sith, with rumors of an Imperial operation against the once uninvolved Protectorate now in the works. Public opinion on the matter has remained neutral on the subject.

Some have also attributed this patriotic declaration to an earlier informative article that had circulated around the HoloNet several weeks ago, or as most of you know as the "State of the Legion," which included a wide overview of Imperial records and events, all available to the public.

The latter address did reveal the many political machinations and complications of the Imperial Legion, however— from the surprise dismissal of the previous Supreme Commander (@Intratec), to the untimely death of Grand Moff and General Solomon Lok during the defense of Ithor.

Still, the Legion remains confident in its abilities to defend the Empire as new, prominent Imperial war heroes, be it Admiral Sevchenko of the Inferno Squadron (@Gamov), General Petrov of the 101st, to Grand Admiral Viett of the Wraith Squadron (@Alhon), continue to prove themselves worthy.

Breaking News: Ziost Attacked!​

HoloNet correspondants caught in the crossfire as reports of invasion surface​

Since a sudden blackout in communications with the Imperial stronghold, unconfirmed reports of a massive interplanetary invasion from Telos have surfaced out of Ord Radama, leaving the Imperial Legion to scramble for reinforcements. But with the invasion already so prolonged, is it too late for the Empire to help? Let's see what our correspondents on Ziost have to add to this ongoing crisis—

"Hello! Correspondent Nadina here, as you can see, Jedi warships and fighters continue to swarm the helpless defending fleet. The Imperial battlecruiser far out behind me (@Insalius) is taking a heavy beating from the invading armada, I... I don't know how long they'll last! But it's certain the Imperial defenses here will be overrun within minutes. Ziost's best hope now remains with other Imperial reinforcements, if they ever—"

"—oh my god. The Imperial cruisers just torpedoed the bridge to one of the Jedi flagships! The ship is going down, but the fleet is still clearly... wait. The Jedi armada is in complete disarray! Did the defending Imperials just nix the leading commander of the invading fleet? What the hell just happened?"

Empire Celebrates Victory at Ziost​

Home of the Imperial Legion miraculously saved from Jedi invasion​

After an unexpected invasion from the Jedi Order out of Telos, the Imperial garrison on Ziost successfully repelled the invading force, bolstering the Empire's grip on the sector.

Heroes were also forged on the battlefield, from Lady Nightstalker's (@Aberforth) ingenious defense of New Adasta to the stunning rebuff of Jedi forces by Commander DuValle (@Insalius). In another surprising turn of events, the derelict garrison on Thila was also preserved from the Jedi threat by distinct Sith but once longtime rival, Shae Vis (@Sreeya), who struck down a special strike force at the onset of the invasion.

While the Empire suffered a number of both victories and defeats on other outlying worlds, Ziost proved to be a decisive triumph on part of the Sith, with many gathering to Coruscant to celebrate.

New Grandmaster Vows for Revenge​

Ascendant Grandmaster to the Jedi Order swears to lay waste to Korriban​

With the death of Grandmaster Pelora and an Imperial win on Ziost, a new Grandmaster (@Valen Pelora) made an arrant broadcast vowing to avenge Pelora, calling for the eradication of the Sith and in particular, the destruction of Korriban. Despite the victory on Ziost, Imperial forces are scrambling to shore up defenses in the sacred world.

However, with the losses on Ziost and an Empire splitting into civil war, the efforts may come to no avail. The remaining Council of Five, and Emperor Malon, be that as it may, remain confident on the defense of Korriban.

Analysts have likewise connected her to the once eldest Princess of the Hapes Consortium, Alara Skyell, who the Jedi received early before the war, giving her a legitimacy in the Core and Mid-Rim of which some Imperials have found unsettling.

Naboo Remains Engulfed in Civil War​

Despite the protection of the Jedi Order, Naboo has continues to grapple with chaos​

Contined reports out of Naboo reveal a widespread civil war has consumed its once idyllic landscape. Two divergent groups— the royal Jafan Dynasty and an insurgent group known only as the "Alliance," continue to wrestle over control of the planet. While the capital city of Theed barely repelled an invasion from the "Alliance," civil war still lingers across the world, with the insurgent group swearing to bring an end to the "tyrannical rule" of King Jafan Gio Berenko (@Sangga).

Nevertheless, forces of the Jafan Dynasty continue to push into Alliance territory (@Kaylon Neroka), turning great fields and winding forests into withered battlefields. Such is yet another testament to the protection of the Jedi Order.

Grand Admiral Declares "New Empire"​

Empire fractures as former Admiral Alexei Petrov denounces Emperor Malon​

As civil war engulfs Naboo, war has likewise reached the Empire. With the "flagrant invasion" of Ziost and a "lethargic" Emperor (@Malon), Grand Admiral Petrov made a statement last week calling for a "New Imperial Empire." While many within the Sith Order have renounced his claims, those in the Imperial Legion and the Core flock to his cause, coalescing into an army that some analysts say "will take Coruscant by storm."

This comes at a tumultuous time in the Empire, with the disappearance of Darth Cain and an Inquisition gone rogue, and many have taken this as an opportunity to rebel themselves, with worlds from the Outer-Rim to the Core breaking out into riots against the Empire. Whether for the freedom of the Republic, the order of the New Empire, or the strength of the Sith, we at HNN know little of this growing conflict.

Insurgency Plunders Ice Cream Convoy​

Insurgent forces found looting an Imperial convoy transporting ice cream​

The most heinous crime yet on part of the Insurgency, a group of radicals blatantly attacked and raided an Imperial caravan of ice cream (@Undine, @Richie B.) within the Corellian Sector. While seldom defended, the convoy was easily overwhelmed and its precious cargo stolen.

Imperials throughout the Core mourn the loss of the famed "Interstellar Ice Cream Truck," while the HoloNet has flared up with a number of "memes" over the actions of the Insurgency.

FALL OF KORRIBAN​

Jedi Order ravage homeworld of the Sith Brotherhood​

In our top story today, it seems Grandmaster Alara Skyell (@Valen Pelora) made truth on her threats from several months ago, as confirmed reports of an overwhelming planetary invasion of Korriban have just come in. The Mandalorian Dominion and particularly the Jedi Order repulsed defending Sith in both air and land as they advanced onto the sacred world, razing everything within sight.

As much of the Imperial Legion had abandoned the Empire, and with Emperor Malon desperate to contain the ongoing civil war, a successful defense of Korriban is next to impossible.

New Grand Admiral Strikes Coruscant​

Grand Admiral DuValle bombards Coruscant prison, killing hundreds​

In more surprising news, former Admiral Kurtis DuValle (@Insalius) ordered an unprecedented orbital bombardment against the Imperial Judiciary Central Detention Center, killing hundreds of prisoners, civilians, and guards alike (@Aberforth). However, DuValle has affirmed the presence of Jedi infiltrators and his regret in this latest interview:

HNN Correspondent, Haylen: What happened, in your words?​

Grand Admiral DuValle: I got a communication from a friend of mine, a Sith named Ra's al'Hague, that the Imperial Detention Center had been infiltrated by enemy forces. My ship, the Hyperion, was in orbit above the facility undergoing repairs from the recent battle at Ziost. As soon as I heard from her I began to move my ship into low orbit, to give air support in case more enemies tried to attack. It was then that a Jedi ship jumped into the system and attempted to board my ship.

It didn't take much to infer that Jedi were the ones attacking, to rescue their captured comrades and other prisoners in the Detention Center. Security there has been slacking recently and the only Sith of any power was Lady al'Hague. I didn't have much time to consider alternatives, and there are not many options to safely deal with Jedi. I made a decision that I will have to live with for the rest of my life. I ordered the bombardment of the prison. Every soul inside was killed. We found out there were six Jedi infiltrators, one of them the King of Onderon. The one that tried to land on my Star Destroyer was captured.

HNN Correspondent, Haylen: Was Lady al'Hague slain before the bombardment?​

Grand Admiral DuValle: Reviewing the footage recorded before the Center's destruction, she was alive at the time. That means yes, I killed her. And all the other soldiers and guards. And any civilians present at the time. Some would argue that the station of the Jedi I had slain made up for those lost lives, but any life lost is one I'll have to wear on my heart for the rest of my life.

HNN Correspondent, Haylen: What will you do now?​

Grand Admiral DuValle: I've been ordered to report to Emperor Malon, and I can only assume it is to answer for my actions. It's entirely possible I won't survive that meeting, and if that is the case then I'll go to my fate willingly. If, for some reason, that I am shown mercy, then I will still be honored to keep fighting for Emperor Malon and the Empire in general. With the loss of Korriban, our attention should turn to rooting out dissent to promote a united front against the Jedi, as well as the Mandalorians should they decide to commit in full. It is time for my audience with the Emperor now, so this may be the last time I'll be seen alive. If I do die, then it will be the will of those I've slain.

Darth Ruin and Moff DeWitt Found Dead​

After a challenge to Ruin's claim, both men were revealed to have died on Rhen Var​

Both the former Moff of Coruscant, Sey DeWitt (@Ecclessey), and Darth Ruin (@Apollyon) were revealed to have killed one another after DeWitt challenged Ruin's claim as Dark Lord of the Sith. While there were little to no witnesses, given the lack of concern among the Empire, their deaths mark as another pair of unfortunate casualties in the ongoing civil war, as well as the demise of the last Sith Lord.

The Emperor has yet to comment on the loss, as does the Imperial administration, given the current situation on Korriban and Saleucami. However, these losses mean only another blow to Imperial power.

Empire vs. Empire: Battle for Saleucami​

Civil war comes to a climax as the Empire and the "Imperium" wrestle for Saleucami​

Since his stunning declaration of a "New Empire," former Grand Admiral Alexei Petrov assaulted Emperor Malon's (@Malon) fortress on Saleucami, sparking the flames of another war across the already ravaged world.

While we at HNN have little word on what's going on, we do understand that perhaps the largest fleet battle in our time is raging above orbit between two of the most brilliant minds in Imperial history, former Admiral Anya Sevchenko (@Gamov) and Grand Admiral Kurtis DuValle.

The capital city and the Emperor's Citadel is also alight with battle as the two forces clash.

THE REPUBLIC MUST PREVAIL​

We few at HNN refuse to remain complicit and hereby call for an end to the Empire!​

Citizens of the former Republic. For years, our galaxy has been subdued, suppressed, and subjugated. The Sith have told you— told us —that their occupation of the galaxy was for the common good. For peace, prosperity and order. And we, the hopeless and the lost, swallowed up their promises like hungry dogs. And in exchange, we gave up our freedom and the honor we had as the Republic. We became a slave to their words.

But today is different. Now more than ever, it is our time to strike. We, the staff of HNN, have taken upon ourselves to split from the Imperial Communications Network, because we are done being their puppets and their slaves. I am sure every one of you watching this now unauthorized broadcast feels the same, because no one deserves to suffer at the hands of the Empire. And guess what? You don't have to anymore.

Take up your weapons, your fists, or even your words. Tell the Empire that we have had enough of their occupation, as we at HNN have. Do it for you, for your children, for the galaxy—

EMPEROR MALON DEAD​

Emperor Malon killed on Jakku, along with General Corvo and Shae Vis​

In a decisive battle above Jakku, Emperor Malon (@Malon) was struck down aboard his flagship after dueling with former Supreme Leader and Jedi General Corvo Vis. Along with his withered body, the Emperor's ship crashed into the war-torn surface of the planet. Be that as it may, his sinister ritual failed to dissipate, and Jakku was ultimately ravaged into a barren wasteland. Still, with Emperor Malon's death comes the end of the Sith Empire, and the dawn of something new.

Details of the battle between Corvo and Malon are scarce, although current reports point to the Corvo dealing the final blow. However, unconfirmed accounts claim that former Jedi Shae Vis (@Sreeya) was the one to have dealt the killing blow, stabbing the Emperor in the back and ultimately saving Corvo. Regardless, it is clear both Shae and Corvo perished in the ensuing crash— a loss not only for the Jedi, but for the galaxy.
