DESCRIPTION
The HK-87 is a highly sophisticated model of combat droid manufactured by the Czerka Corporation. Intended for VIP escort, sentry duty, assassination and general ranged or melee fighting, it is the most recent installment in Czerka's long-running HK series of similar droids. One of the finest such droids available, the HK-87 has a hefty price tag, but has a set of capabilities that make it worth the cost.Standing 1.8 meters in height, the HK-87 has a standard humanoid profile. Although it has no built in weapons, the droid is equipped with integrated infrared sensors, motion trackers, rangefinders, photoreceptors and audio receptors. The droid is inhumanly swift, strong and agile, able to leap at last a full story off the ground. Although blasters are generally preferred, the '87 is easily capable of skilled melee combat, and is deadly if allowed to grapple.
Generally speaking, HK-87s are not legal for their intended purpose throughout much of the Galaxy. Nevertheless, they are often bought as guards for the rich and powerful, in which role they are often given temporary personas as attendant models. This is helped by the fact that '87s are generally quite taciturn, seldom saying anything and thus not giving away secrets by admission.

Restricted. HK-87s, like all assassin droids, are subject to extensive licensing for ownership by a faction or individual, and receive a great deal of scrutiny from authorities.INTENT
