Ownership: N/A

Intent: The Hirulan Heavy Cruiser is to be used to be as a basis idea of what the Strenians actually build and use for their warships, it is also has the intent of possibly selling these ships as that is the main basis of the strenian economy is trade of military tech, weapons, and ships.

Model: Hirulan Heavy Cruiser

Equipment: The Ship is a equipped with a standard shields array common to most destroyers. Standard Navigation computer equipped. Military grade sensors, 156 escape pods distributed evenly over the ship. Military grade targeting computer and systems.

Speed: 60 MGLT (Primary Drive engines: 2 center mounted. Secondary drive engines, mounted aft, 3 starboard 3 port. )

Hyperdrive:
Class 1.0
Back up class 10

Maneuverability: The Heavy cruiser to be blunt is pretty much a brick, it fly's like a brick, it acts like a brick, if you ram someone with it they are going to have very bad day. it is a very heavy and powerful brick, but a brick none the less, it can still turn relatively okay, and it's acceleration isn't that bad, but yeah. At the end of the day it's a flying brick in space.

Description:
The main feature of the Hirulan heavy cruiser that gives it an edge in a fight, is it's 4.5 Meters armor including spaced armor. Allowing it to survive/handle long drawn out fights with other ships, the spaced armor is placed in strategic places along the ship, such as where the Hypermatter annihilation reactor is which is closer towards the aft section of the ship, there is also spaced armor around the bridge (which is towards the front) and the CIC is in the middle of the ship, the rest of the ship has 4 meters of armor all around.

The inside of the ship while mainly utilitarian, is also quite comfortable as it's mess hall is quite large and has a garden in it so as to give it a comforting feeling for the crew and soldiers who are out for long periods of time, there is also a gym, track circuit, and a swimming pool.

Storage, the storage area is towards the bow of the ship, and armory is near the firing range towards the cargo/hangar deck on the ship. The ship can hold over 16'000 tons of cargo, and has enough rations to last for 2 and half years.

The bridge is towards the front at the bottom hidden and well protected from enemy turbolaser fire and strike craft, it is quite spacious and works like any normal bridge, in the center of the bridge room is a large holotable display showcasing a map of the galaxy with it constantly being updated with new info, gained from the CIC, the room is also two stories where there are many bridge crew working away at computer stations keeping track of all and any info from the ship it's self and from outside, there are two basic pilot chairs towards the front near the holoscreen that are connected to camera's outside on the hull of the ship allowing 360 degree's of while viewing range and arc, the captains chair is slight behind the two pilot chairs and is in the center near the holotable. The CIC has relatively the same set up, making it not much different from the bridge.

The engines are a thing of beauty if one were to ask a Strenian, the two main singular Ion engines are large and powerful allowing the ship to go at relatively decent speed of 60 MGLT, the secondary engines also help with the speed but also for turning along with various thrusters all over the ship, and large metal rings surround the main engines which act as way for the ship to increase or decrease it's speed by the rings either contracting to smaller to make the thrust more known so as to go at flank speed or to expand to allow the ship to slow down and simply cruise.

I like that you've broken down the armaments into firing arcs, personally. I worry that, given the meta of the forum, there aren't enough complementary CIWS guns on the ship, but by the same token I'd like to see the forum move away from that meta so starfighters are possible once again.

I'd like to see you break down the final text block into categories, just for ease of reading. Right now it's a bit of a wall of text. If you want the comforts of home on the ship, I'd recommend adding a full length swimming pool and track circuit - the Soviets did something similar in one of their nuclear submarines. It functions to provide the crew leisure but also ensures they remain fit and active. As for the bridge - you need not have an exposed one.

Also, you should always keep your CIC and Bridge separate - real world warships do this - in a scifi environment this prevents you from having all your command staff in a central location during boarding. Typically, the CIC is where all the information is collected and analyzed before being transmitted to the bridge, where decisions are made. That said, I'm fairly sure you're using the BSG depiction of a CIC, which is based more off a submarine than a surface combatant, where the bridge is unnecessary because visuals are meaningless.

You should also avoid windows in a CIC and keep them near a bridge. For one, drivers of a ship don't need to see where they're going when the commander is giving them orders. For two... as the Geth would say, windows are structural weaknesses. Just look at every scifi movie ever - windows either serve as things to blow up and suck the crew out via decompression, or to offer fancy views of nebulas. Weighing the costs and benefits, I'd go with more safety in a warship. If they want to see nebula's, they should've signed up to be fighter jockies. A CIC in the center of the ship is extremely difficult to hit with a turbolaser, and can take longer for boarding parties to reach, and is also more difficult to cut off from reinforcing security personnel.

Anyways, that's my two cents.
