BIOGRAPHY
[beebox3=500px]
Vaynai, 18 years ago...
0:00 Galactic Standard Time...

The girl panted heavily, running down a grimy old city street. The apartment behind her was in flames, and she stood barefoot on the cold cobblestone. She knew enough to not be out this late at night, that it was bad, that bad men lurked at night. But her father had taught her to fear nothing of the sort. They were weak men who refused to pick their fights in the middle of day. People like what he used to be before he found her mother. But she didn't understand any of that, not now...just that the Bad Men had come and burned her home to the ground, taken her parents. If there was one thing her mother had taught her...it was that vengeance wasn't always a bad thing...
"You there! Young lady, it seems you are in distress."
Considering she was in her nightgown, then yes, absolutely. She turned around with a slight gasp and found a man with glossy eyes staring in her general direction. Was he blind? How did he know she was there? And what was that stick in his hands for?
"To answer what you're thinking right now, yes, I am blind. I also believe you're running. From what?"
The girl wrinkled her nose and spat back a reply. "Are you one of the Bad Men that took my family, burned my home? If so, you may as well kill me now, I will not obey you!"
The wise man merely smiled. "You think I am a killer, eh? We'll have to see about those two men coming around the corner."
Footsteps stomped from an alleyway and came to a sliding stop. One pointed at the girl and uttered an exclamation. She turned to run, but the blind man walked past and stood in front of her, speaking.
"To make this brief, I will say one thing: are they paying you enough for this?"
The two men chuckled and spoke to one another.
"A blind man, telling us to leave. What a joke. Let's kill him already."
The blind man muttered a sentence as the two charged and the girl covered her ears, kneeling down, as the fighting ensued.

Soon, there was only silence. She opened her eyes and stood up to find the two men unconscious and the blind man...unscathed?
"I asked them. Guess it was a hefty reward. Come on, then. Let us go before more arrive."
Then, the blind man walked along with his stick, quietly humming. The girl looked back at her burning apartment and then followed. What else was she to do?

Six years later...
"Hiromi! Are you ready yet?! The ship is waiting!"
The blind man had called her with a cautious tone, almost wary of leaving Vaynai. The girl had never left her homeworld and, honestly, was more than excited to visit this 'Naboo'. It was definitely an interesting sounding place from her mentor's stories. She grabbed her belongings (which were few), including her wooden staff, and walked outside, meeting the blind man and walking beside him to the spaceport.

Fifteen hours later...

"Hyperdrive malfunction-! Dammit, not again..."

The pilot grit his teeth as he, Hiromi's mentor, and the girl herself came out of hyperspace.

Right above a planet. The Mizota girl wasn't one to cower in fear anymore, and simply hung on for dear life to her restraints as they entered the atmosphere with the pilot struggling to save the ship from its doom. And then they impacted, a box coming free of its shelf and hitting her in the face.

Unknown time later...
Hiromi woke up in a room with a bandage around her skull. Everywhere hurt, though she could make the assertion that she wasn't on that ship anymore. A door opened and someone dressed in primitive clothing set down some water beside the bed before realizing that the girl was awake. He rushed out and immediately another man came in, kneeling beside the bed.
"You're awake. Good."

The girl wasn't one to trust strangers and said nothing. The man spoke again.
"Well, can you speak- Is she mute?"

The person beside the speaking man shrugged. He returned his gaze to Hiromi as she opened her mouth. She supposed these people were trustworthy enough if they hadn't killed her. Evidently she was knocked unconscious.
"I can speak. Where am I?"

The man simply smiled.
"You are in the home of the Paladins of Mortis. It may seem confusing to you now, but all will be clarified soon."

"And what of my mentor? Ioza?"

The man merely blinked, his eyes lowering. So he was dead. The girl felt a pang of sorrow but fought it back. There was time for crying later. Her gaze said enough about her desire to talk more and the two men left.

So much for Naboo.

Present day...
Adumar...

Mizota finished cleaning her blade. It sung as new as it was. She was sitting in a small chamber, her chamber, a peaceful one that reflected a more natural surrounding, filled with vibrant lotus blossoms on the walls, unlike many of the others around her, which were far more spartan and utilitarian. She preferred hers this way. Nature enjoys being acknowledged. That was one thing she knew from her teachings of old.

Right as she sheathed her sword, the comlink on her arm buzzed. A new assignment from what she'd been told.
It was about time to be welcomed back into the galaxy...
Hiromi smiled as the man on the other side spoke.

APPEARANCE
[beebox3=500px][/beebox3]
[beebox3=500px]
Hiromi has dark tan skin, due to the rural lifestyle she lived in her later years, which flushes quite clearly after a couple drinks. She has a rounded face (East Asian) and black hair, as well as almond-shaped hazel eyes. Her hair is straight and black, reaching down to around her mid-back when not tied into some form to fit under her armor and not get in the way. Her accent reflects that of a native Vaynai, with L's and R's being under-enunciated and easily slurred as one in the same, with the rest of her speech being enunciated in clipped tones. She has a strong and lean body from years of training and sparring.

Before a battle, Hiromi paints her exposed skin and face pale white, as intimidation when her mask is removed or when her helmet is compromised. Out of armor, she wears simple traditional robes or a generic mix of shirt and jeans, and normally leaves her hair either in a ponytail or unstyled. She wears a memorial to her original mentor, a simple necklace, hidden under her shirt or armor.

ATTRIBUTES
[beebox3=500px]
Hiromi is light-footed and quiet despite her strength, and exercises as often as possible. She is very agile as well and is no stranger to melee fighting, especially with swords and blades. She also is very good with her hands and can fix most pieces of armor that are similar to hers in design, and even knows how to make a sword. Her education in traditional arts lacked in her early years due to being in a poor family, however with the Paladins she was proven to be very intelligent and quick-thinking.

Hiromi is not one to talk when unneeded. She keeps a respectful silence unless spoken to and will mainly keep her opinions to herself unless provoked to a point, in which a biting temper will get the better of her and loosen her jaw a bit. She has a tendency to never back down from a fight, and therefore will either tire herself out or tire out her opponent, even with her above-normal endurance. Though she tends to fight longer than necessary, Hiromi is smart enough to know when to live to fight again another day and will retreat when completely necessary. She is Force-sensitive, though lacks the ability to use telekinesis and rather sticks to using it to focus her mind and body as one when in battle.

Hiromi's temper may get her into trouble at times, but almost never to an extreme level. Disrespect or dishonor her or the Paladins, she'll have a word or two with you. Disrespect her mentor? That's a death sentence. Did I say not to dishonor her family? Don't get me started on that. She is fiercely loyal to her own code of honor that adheres above and beyond to the Paladin code, and believes that a warrior's death is of greater honor than living another day. Hiromi knows that her family had done dishonorable deeds back before she was born, and attempts to restore that honor on a day-by-day basis, as stories she had heard from Mentor Ioza told her of her family's prestigious past as warriors.

PERSONALITY
[beebox3=500px][/beebox3]
[beebox3=500px][/beebox3][beebox3=500px]
Hiromi keeps to a strict honor code and maintains the utmost respect to her peers and superiors, despite personal opinion, unless she feels it necessary to disagree with a point. Her honor code closely follows that of ancient texts:
  • Rectitude. Correct judgment or procedure for the resolution of righteousness.
  • Courage. A virtue only in the cause of righteousness. Death for an unworthy cause is no better than a dog's death.
  • Benevolence. Sympathy and nobility of feeling are the highest attributes of the soul.
  • Politeness. A poor virtue if it is actuated only by a fear of offending good taste. Rather it should stem from a sympathetic regard for the feeling of others.
  • Veracity. “Truthfulness.” Lying is cowardly, and is dishonorable.
  • Honor. A vivid consciousness of personal dignity and worth is implicit in the word honor.
  • Loyalty. Only in the code of chivalrous honor does loyalty assume importance. In the conflict between loyalty and affection the code never wavers from the choice of loyalty.
These principles are to be adhered to till and after death.
Oddly enough, Hiromi is religious and does not believe in the Force as much as she does in gods and deities, and this has molded into a merging between the two, except into the belief that deities influence the Force..
