"Hey. I'm known as Hi-Ryuu, and that's what you'll call me- not Hi, not H.R., just Hi-Ryuu. Savvy?

Good.

Now, you should know a few things about me. I'm a Treka Horansi girl with copper fur, dark mahogany rosettes, and a 'mane', so to speak, of reddish-gold fur extending longer than any other body fur. You'd be surprised how much it makes the human-dominated galaxy accept you... Anyhoo, my eyes are a golden-orange color, and my tail, I might add, is suitably long.

I've been regarded as being very true to my name- Hi-Ryuu is, after all, a medley of the words for 'fire' and 'dragon'. Says what I'm like in the morning, really. Anyway, my last name can be translated to several things, including 'ridiculous', 'witty', and 'humorous'.

Revealing, eh?

I'm in the habit of wearing white, because it suits me, but mahogany leather is another favorite. Oh, and I forgot to tell how tall I was! I'm just at six feet, one and a half inches. Short for a Treka Horansi, actually...

But you may be wondering about my life, and how it's gone. If you don't, though, just suck it up. Okay?

My life

I was born on the world of Mutanda, the homeworld of all the Horansi subspecies. Granted, my life was harder than those I hung around, because I was of the lowest class- the Tekra Horansi, the working class. However, we are beautiful... in a plain way. But I digress. I was born to Tyka and Zy'Zhan Omoshiroi in the territories of the Zhoulang clan. I befriended the group of higher-class children, even though I was a mere Treka Horansi. Dalang was fun to hang around, because he wasn't prejudiced, and Ayda was a very kind Mashi Horansi. Jiang, Karuay, Hiach, and Aisu, though.. They weren't as welcoming. However, after a few months, the latter warmed up conisderably, to the point where he was always checking to make sure I could hang with them for most of the day.

I saw Ayda flower into an absolutely gorgeuous, sleek Mashi Koransi who I envied for her dark fur, beautiful physique, and unnaturally smooth poise and grace. Ai, again, hung around me even more... I ended up growing to like him- maybe more. But when he was sixteen, and I was fourteen, everything changed. He vanished... along with the two Mashi Koransi mystics he was practicing with. Gone.

I became depressed, especially when Jiang, Ayda, and Karuay all vanished in the same manner, just a little bit later. It was only me and Dalang... We only had each other, and he became the brother I never had... Well, the brother of infinitely higher rank. After several years, at age 21, I set out to find Ai, Jaing, Ayda, Hiachi, and Karuay. And so I have been for four years, searching for them...

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths: I'm smaller than virtually all male Horansi, but I'm about the average height for a femal Tekra Horansi. That makes me fast, but still strong. I can fight well, and gambling is a 'skill', if you ask me... I can use sniper rifles and tonfa blades, and piloting is a skill for me.
Weaknesses: As you may have guessed, I'm not a strong as the average Horansi. I'm not good with the classic punches and kicks, and I can't go on a bold offensive, and I'm horrible at basic kicks and punching techniques.

Equipment

-Vibroblade
-Throwing star(6)
-Sniper slugthrower
-Tonfa blades(2)
-Emergency supplies
-Credits
-Two thermal detonators

Starship

Class: Light freighter
Speed: Medium- not too great of a ship
Weapons: Two missile turrets, explosive deploying system

We need a rule against furries. Being entirely serious for a moment, meaning that I don't actually hate furries, this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Oh, hush you lot. We know you all hate furries and would love to see us all die a horrible death. =P

Now for an actual comment on the profile itself; I like it. However, I would like to point out that Jiang would actually have been more welcoming and friendly than Dalang, especially considering how Jiang was the one fiddling around with a girl who was from a totally different caste than his own.

We don't hate furries, we just think it's quite ridiculous how many furry characters have been made in the last week or two. It's like this place is becoming some sort of Furry Haven, and it's ****ing weird.

I don't really understand it. Are you and Viggy telling all your furry friends about this place or something?

All the furry profiles are being made by like the same three people.

That's even worse.

I know Hakim has over half a dozen of them.

My entire roster of active characters are furry, now that Winslow is dead. It's not because I don't like playing human/non-furry characters mind you - Half of my characters during the last timeline weren't furry - but rather because I've put much more time and effort into establishing the personalities and backstories of my furry characters that I can pick up and play them - with the notable exception of my senator character - with ease. The only human character I've ever had for Star Wars that I really enjoyed playing and could use and keep in character easily was Marcus Hawkes. Who, now that I think of him, was fun enough that I should rework him and bring him back the moment I get a character slot open.

So, yeah, in short I'd happily play a non-furry character if I could actually make one I liked. I have a few ideas, but they're all on the backburner because I've reached the limit of characters that I can comfortably keep active without getting things jumbled. =P

You seem to be assuming that we're saying you should make Human characters. Not so. There's a plethora of species out there, and you should consider looking into some of those instead of making talking tigers and leopards every time you make a new character.

And could you actually explain the difference between playing a furry character and a non-furry character? I mean, beyond the physical appearance bit.

Naw, I wasn't assuming that you were saying I should make a human char, though I can see how my post wasn't worded very well to properly relay that I understood that. I understand that there's dozens of other races I could experiment with that could help to broaden my roster of characters beyond the generic cop/secret agent and rogue warrior archetypes and break me out of the mold I've set myself in. I'll definitely look at my options when it comes time to make another character, though. Like I said, I have some ideas I'm interested in, I just need to work on them and flesh them out.

edit -

Beyond the physical appearance bit, there's pretty much no difference aside from having to be mindful of the fact that you have a much wider array of vocalizations available and some very unique body language you can utilize, which is fun to play around with. You can also get to playing with furry-centric traits if you wish - IE; keener predatory senses, etc etc - though I don't usually dabble in those very much. It just opens some unique options and is more fun for me, is all.

So basically, you want to play talking tigers and that's it. OK, thanks. :P

If there's really no difference between furries and other species in terms of RPing, then you should really try something new next time.

Never did understand the whole idea of furries on the internet, makes minimal sense to me. Especially on an RP site were you have the option to utilize the traits of almost a hundred species frrom the Star Wars lore.
