Hey what's the name of this drink

Serenno
The newly independent world of Serenno has become quiet a interesting place, so close to Imperial space but yet it had chosen to leave. How it became so brave was beyond Alexei, personally he would have never decided to do that, he wasn't brave enough to spit into the face of a fuming beast even if it was sick. Just wasn't worth the risk, but it wasn't his call, having just left Imperial space to join the Galactic Alliance. Alexei was quiet nervous wondering when the next Imperial patrol would come by to grab him and take his life like the rest of his family, why did the Sith had to drag his little cousins into it was beyond him. Was his family a part of the rebellion? Did they get accused of being part of the rebellion and that was just a message to others.

Whatever the reason Alexei needed a drink, which was why he was in the most quiet bar in the planet. He didn't want loud music damaging his eardrums, or some new hot piece of meet to give him some sort of transmittable disease. Wearing most of his scout armor except for his helmet, which was next to him in the bar, with his pistol on his hip. Though he didn't want to cause problems so, his blaster hand was used to hold onto the glass that contained the disgusting liquid. Though it did the job so well that it was impossible not to drink it, but he couldn't quiet remember the name of it. He only just got it and the bartender had just named it in front of him, maybe his distress was affecting his attention span.

How could he move beyond this point in his life, his family was bounded, in a burning house with blaster bolts in each of them. Yet he still remained like a reminder that luck is all the difference it makes between those that survive and those that don't. With the glass going to Alexei's lips emptying his drink, the disappointment hit him, forcing him to decide what will be his next drink.

After a long day of dealing with the hoighty toighty men and women that made up the Serenno government - who each thought they all shit gold simply because they had the alleged "balls" to secede from the Empire. - Ol' Bob Abbotangelo was looking to spend the rest of the day sampling the admittedly delectable stocks of alcohol that were produced on the high and mighty world.

It was his experience then, that the smallest places always had the best stock, and the best company. The little hole in the wall Cantina known locally as the Rotten Board, had no sign above the entrance, and otherwise looked like any other dive bar. But The Abbot had a good feeling about this place, and was not disappointed when he entered the establishment. Quiet music played lazily and calmly over some strange setup of speakers, and the place looked relatively clean. The few patrons were seemingly polite, though that could have just been something he didn't understand with the local thuggery of the city he was in. Mayhaps this was neutral ground for the local gangs?

Despite this thought, or perhaps because of it, Bob strode in purposefully and waddled his way to the bar, plopping his copious mass right next to a particularly glum soon to be friend. He signaled the bartender, who had been watching him with an amused expression that conveyed in every sense of the word that Bob was not his usual customer, and spoke loudly, breaking through the relative silence. "One glass of your finest bottle of local drink my fine man!" He said with a wide smile, before glancing at the now empty glass in his soon to be drinking buddies hand, "Make that two! One for my new friend here." He finished, happily clapping his left arm around the shoulder of the glum friend next to him.

Shock. Yea that's the word for it, when a rather large man simply walks up to you and starts touching you. Not that he was upset by it, just weirded out by the seemingly jolly man. Alexei had never seen this man before but the words of getting another drink did change his frown to a more confused look. Shifting a bit to better face the man next to him, Alexei did a quick scan of the man though he felt a bit weird checking out a fat older man. Seeing nothing to strange on him, Alexei figured that he was just a drunk who was looking for some company. And if he was willing to buy drinks Alexei was fine with that.

"I appreciate it friend, don't get a lot of people now who are willing to pay for another person's drink. Mind if I get your name friend?" Sure it was weird but not the weirdest thing he had done or been though.

Heck, he had even shared drugs back in the day with those he hang out with. Sure it wasn't always the smartest and sometimes he would go down with less credits then he started with, but back then he had the ability to not care about credits. But now he was on a limited amount, not like he could ask his dead family for some allowance. Though who knows maybe this big man could provide him something to forget about what recently happened.

"Names Robert Abbotangelo! You can call me Robert, or Bob, or hell, even Bobert! I'm not going to be too picky." Bob finished with a good natured smile and a light chuckle. The bartender came with a bottle of wine, with some generic label that looked extremely similar to almost every other 'unique' fancy wines.

Before he could uncork it however, Bob removed his arm from his new friend and gestured for the bartender to halt. "Come now my friend, I said finest, not most expensive. I've heard tales of a particular drink that can only be found in places like these, and that some of the nobles upstairs will pay handsomely for it. I'm hoping you know what I'm looking for?" Bob finished with a conspiratorial grin, dropping a credit chit worth several hundred credits on the counter.

The Bartender took one look at the credits and snatched it off the counter without another word, though he did nod to the big man before he turned away and walked into a small backroom. In the meantime, Bob returned his attention to his new friend. "This drink is supposedly a blend of Corellian spiced rum, a few drops of actual spice and a teeny tiny bit of starship fuel. You are a lucky man my friend, not everyone can get something as exotic as this. Oh! I just realized I hadn't asked for your name yet, how rude of me." He finished with a not at all apologetic smile, instead with an expression that asked for an introduction.

So far it seemed Alexei enjoyed this man's approach to life. Not caring about silly things like names, at least they had that in common. A sense of pride in oneself and knowledge in knowing that it doesn't matter what happens so long as you stay true to yourself. And as soon as the bottle showed up Alexei eyes went wide as his new friend actually rejected it. Someone like Alexei he would take any bottle so long as it was good, yet this man actually had the gal to ask for something even more expensive.

So when he sent the bartender off and turned to him explaining the new bottle Alexei's eye maintained there large expression. Both impressed and scared at this new man's knowledge. This was truly a well traveled man, so with a somewhat reverence look he spoke knowing full well he was but a newborn in front of a master.

"Half of that I understood Bob, but name is Alexei you can call me Alex or student. Hell grasshopper would be fine if it came from you. So did you come here for just for the extensive stuff? Cause if so you can consider me your new son if that means I can to stick with you when you go for alcohol runs." Alexei said the whole thing with a smile honestly curious about this man's tastes and his history.

"So if you don't mind me asking Bob what's your trade got a lot of credits to drop for a good drink. Even if it is a really good drink, it is just a drink." Maybe it was pushing it the rebel was curious who he was sitting next to.

Bob laughed as the boy introduced himself, enjoying having cheered up the previously glum chum even just a little bit. A few of the other patrons were looking in their direction, mildly annoyed at the sudden noise increase in the quiet little hole in the wall. Not that it mattered to Bob, they were welcome to join them at the bar but if they were just going to sulk in their respective corners, he wasn't going to let them ruin his merriment.

"Well 'grasshopper,'" He started with a mildly sardonic smile that still conveyed he was only joking. "To really explain to you how I came to be about my copious wealth would be a long and involved story, but it really just boils down to two things. One, my younger years as a soldier, and two, the blank cheque I've got from the Empire to 'test' some things as I travel." He said continuing to smile at the young 'grasshopper.'

He stopped however when the bartender came back from wherever he was, delicately holding in front of him a large flask that held a mixture of fluid colors inside. It was supposedly a bit of a process to prepare the locally legendary drinks, so the Abbot looked on with rapt attention as he continued to talk.

"Other than a few requests of theirs, they don't seem to understand that I'm spending half of my nigh unlimited funds on 'testing' booze! Hah! You know sometimes I wonder if their on to me, and will someday terminate my account." He said leaning in to whisper conspiratorially before returning to his original position. "But such are the dangers and benefits of working for the government!" He finished with a belly laugh just as the two drinks were ever so carefully placed in front of the two men.

If there were people annoyed Alexei couldn't tell, to much trying to find something to get his mind off of other thoughts. So for now he was happy to see that Ms. Bob and his fat jolly self was so keen on having a fun conversation with him. Though soon as he mentioned the Empire Alexei for a second faltered in his smile. But it quickly returned as he realized that it didn't matter in the end drinking buddy was a drinking buddy.

But bringing up that he spends the Empire's credits on booze, made this man one of Alexei's top favorite person to date. The bar wasn't high sadly as there wasn't many people he considered good people in his life right now anyway. So he listened to the man's tales. Even as he whispered to Alexei about his concerns the rebel never felt any sort of worry for his own life. No doubt this jolly man was unaware of his own allegiances plus the less they knew of each others personal lives the better. At least in Alexei's books.

"Hey so long as you are alive and kicking best to do with it as you please. Personally I feel a lot of people could learn to relax a little." Noticing the drink now set before him, Alexei grabbed it with his right hand and slowly sipped it at first.

Wanting the test the waters, which he was thankful for before he had to place the glass down quickly as he started having a coughing fit. Whatever was in that drink the somewhat drug and alcoholic filled young man was definitely not prepared for. For a solid few seconds he had to let his body react to the strong liquid. Whatever was in this drink was more then anything he had in Alexei's 22 years of living. And finally when the coughing had stopped he looked to his new drinking friend with a half smile and a bit of liquid coming out of the corner of his mouth.

"Damn. That was terrible." And once again Alexei grabbed his drink and took another swig this time no coughing but it burned nonetheless.

Bob nodded at the wisdom in the young mans words, huffing out another chuckle as he brought the drink to his lips, stopping him from drinking. This turned to outright laughter once again as the boy started choking on his drink. Bob didn't usually laugh this much in a day, but he wasn't too concerned about it. He hadn't even had many drinks prior to coming here! So he just assumed he was having a good time.

"Of course it's terrible! But the taste isn't the point my boy. It's about the principle of the thing! You get to say to yourself and anyone else that you had the rare opportunity to drink such a putrid concoction, or just lie and say you starship fuel which isn't an entire lie! This drink, is bragging rights. It is an experience, though not something one should drink regularly unless you fancy cancer." With that, Bob slammed back the expensive drink, swallowing quickly and making the face one would make had you just sucked on a lemon.

Slapping a hand against the bar, Bob let out a quick "Hoo!" before calming down with a clearing of the throat. "So, what brings you here to Serenno my young Grasshopper?" Bob said, not sounding drunken, but for all his many years of drinking, he was already feeling the effects of whatever concoction he had just consumed.

Why couldn't people be more like Bob, Alexei thought to himself. Bob had it together, Bob was kind, was fat and was fine with it, and most importantly didn't mind sharing a drink. Heck if Bob ran for Emperor maybe his live would have been completely different and would have decided to stay within the Empire with a still alive family. But that was just wishful thinking at this point.

Still the idea of this liquid giving him cancer almost stopped him from drinking it. Almost being the correct word because even with the hesitation it wasn't like he hadn't done things in the past that would have given him some form of illness. If he was still alive then clearly something liked him enough to keep him that way. Yet the words about the drink being a experience sort of rang true with him, experiences were meant to be had but never should one be consumed by it. Like how one should experience having a good vacation, but never should one try to stay in said vacation and forget about the life outside of it.

"Oh me? Right guess I am here because I was leaving the Empire. I was living in Alderaan before but something happened with my family, now I need just to leave. You know experience things outside of it. Plus the rules were too stuffy for my tastes. No offense of course." Alexei smiled to Bob hoping that he hadn't just insulted his drinking buddy, that would have really hurt his feelings.

At this point the young's man's back hair went up just slightly as if something wasn't quiet right. Though he put it off as just the drink hitting his stomach, so he went in for another swig. Unknown to him the other customers of this cantina were really getting agitated with their loud conversation. It had been quiet before these two met.

Bob was enjoying this kids company, he had panache. He was seemingly still learning the ins and outs of the galaxy and that was OK. Bob saw a lot of his younger self in him, a willingness to try new things and strikingly good looks. It wasn't a combo that many seemed to possess. The kid could have told him to buzz off, and Bob likely would have complied without much fuss. But it took a particular kind of man to accept a stranger's company, even when you were so clearly burdened by your own problems.

Bob smiled back as the Kid answered his question, not in the slightest feeling any offense. He knew that his adopted state had its share of issues, better than most. While the slave deal on Vatol was still technically for the Hutts, most of the combat he had seen as a younger man was in service to the Empire.

"None taken my friend. And I'm sorry to hear about what happened on Alderaan, whatever that may be." He said with a slightly more somber look on his face, taking out a flask from his robes he poured some of his own home grown beer into his now empty glass and raised it in a silent toast to whatever poor events brought the young man to this moment.

"There aren't many things in this galaxy that are truly important my boy, family and friends always take the top spot. Someone wrongs them, you gotta get even. You gotta figure out a way to fix it, and figure out how to make them understand why you did what you did once you are finished." Bob finished, gazing at his glass, giving the idea that he wasn't entirely talking about Alexei.

After a moment, he shook himself from whatever memory he was reliving, and produced a small smile. "You seem like a good sorts Alexei, if and when you find the answers to the questions you are asking, or whatever it is you are looking for, give me a call and I'll try and help out." Bob said, writing down the address he could be contacted at on a disposable coaster and sliding it towards Alexei

"But enough about that! Tonight we shall drink for tomorrow, may it be a better day." Bob said with a serene smile, finishing by slamming back the rest of his own brew.

The lack of offense the man seemed to state eased Alexei's worries a bit. And the man seemingly willing to express empathy for what happened to him was rather touching. Still he had to deal with these issues himself, but still knowing that people could care was a good step in that process. Watching the man raise his glass with new alcohol, he did the same in a toast. Taking what remained in his glass, he felt the effects hitting him hard, but he was quiet the whole time. It wasn't a moment to speak just be in it.

Still the way he spoke about getting even, felt like it was a bit more then Alexei's own problems. But that was fair considering the man was doing so much for him, it was only natural that Bob got a chance to unload too. However Bobs offer of help was very appreciated, especially as returning to Sith space might be a problem in the future.

"I will definitely do that, but yes to drinking for tomorrow. But not for a better day but because tomorrow may be a sober one and if you can't get a drink you at least had some yesterday." Smiling he placed his left hand on Bob's shoulder curious as to what this had seen and done in his life.

"Tell me Bob, bobby, the Bobert has anyone ever wronged you? Cause if so let me know so I can support you in teaching them a lesson. You are too good of a man to be wronged."
The words came out somewhat slowed as the affects of a powerful drink were starting to take hold over the young man.

At this point though the other customers were starting to talk amongst themselves complaining and whining. Though to soft for the two of them to hear, but whatever feelings Alexei might of gotten warning about this were gone when his sobriety also left.

Bob raised his glass again, not really needing a particular reason to drink as he accepted Alexei's toast. It was rather nice of the boy to reciprocate his offer, though fortunately -or unfortunately- much of his business has been settled. He didn't really have much in the way of people who had wronged him, as he had done the one thing the majority of them had never managed to do. He outlived them. It was the perfect revenge in his eyes, to have the opportunity to go to these peoples funerals, get piss drunk and dance all over their graves without having even lifted a finger in revenge.

"Many men have wronged me my boy, and I have made my peace with them. That is simply the nature of our galaxy, that we must be cutthroat and barbarous to one another. Really all this conflict amounts to nothing, just more death and destruction. Imagine what we could do if we just worked together! The great things we could build if we weren't so intent on destroying each others sandcastles." He took a swig, letting his opinions of the current wars be known. He had his suspicions about Alexei's allegiances, but he wasn't going to mention it. The 'grasshopper' was a good boy, and didn't need to be called out on fighting for what he thought was right. That is, assuming Bob's assumptions were correct.

No, he didn't deserve it. But that didn't mean Bob couldn't warn him of the dangers inherent with the profession. "Son, I was a soldier once, and not by choice. I was forced to fight against my will as a slave and that means I have seen things that no one should have to see. The only thing that kept me going was the knowledge that the fighting would end. There was something at the end for me, and that something was just the simple act of living. I love life, but as you get older and you realize that no matter how much you might love it, you can never escape death." He paused before he went off on a tangent about the meaning of life.

"I have outlived many who wronged me. Lived long enough to see them die young. You-" Bob was cutoff by a particularly burly man shoving his poorly maintained knife into the bar next to them, the large man, loomed over the two men by at least a foot. He said nothing, but his little minion was slowly making his way towards them, a somehow ticked off and yet smug expression on his face.

Alexei was very interested in learning of the history that was within his man's head. But instead of hearing about many enemies and times he was betrayed, Bob spoke wisdom. Though slightly annoyed, he knew Bob ad some truth in his words. It wasn't like he could simply ignore the dream of having a galaxy without conflict, it was a nice thought and one he was sure many had in their minds. Especially with the war going as it was, the galaxy is changing so much in such a short amount of time that it was hard to think people didn't want it to end soon.

Yet the problem came with who should win the conflict, and with that disagreement the war is able to continue far longer then it probably should. But there was a sudden change in Bob that he noticed, when he started talking about being a soldier. He wasn't sure if Bob was speaking more about himself or trying to tell Alexei something. Whatever was the case he was sure that despite his own worries about his job it wasn't like he could simply stop now.

He would have spoken up but it seemed someone didn't like them being here. A rather barbaric looking man was standing over them with a knife embedded into the bar. Now Alexei wasn't one to extreme violence (lie) but it was time like these he was glad to have a glass cup in his hand. Without another word Alexei picked up his glass like he was about to drink from it, but actually in a single motion slammed his glass onto the man's hand that was holding onto the knife.

That was the biggest threat right now and after doing that, his left hand was used to grab onto the man's arm that was close to the knife. Alexei attempted to shove the man back with both arms hoping to have the knife still left at the bar as to avoid getting stabbed by it.

To say Bob was a little startled would be a bit of an understatement. When the looming giant of a man began his looming shenanigans, Bob was entirely confident he could talk him down with his trademark charm and the offer of a few drinks. But when the young grasshopper Alexei jumped him, smashing his glass down on his hand with a crunchy *THUNK.*

The glass didn't break, but the mans hand did. At the same time as the man screamed out in pain, clutching his hand close to his chest while he was shoved to the ground; Bob let out a startled "TITS!" as he flung himself off of his chair and backwards onto the ground, already scrambling to get back up.

The rest of the mook's in the bar were getting up with growls, drawing blades and other less conspicuous melee weaponry. They were set to advance, with the now whimpering big man crawling away on the floor, just as the loud shot of a blaster interrupted the action. It was the bartender, holding a new looking rifle. "Take this shit outside of my bar!" Was the only thing he said, and the various gangsters and general thuggery slowly filtered out of the bar, keeping their eyes on Bob and Alexei.

Bob cast a mild glare at Alexei, - Not angry, just disappointed. - before grabbing the nasty looking knife from the bar while fishing around inside his robes for his own well sized blade. He drew the knife and held both in either of his hands and said "We are going to have to talk about talking young man. Can't have you going around starting fights all the time." Before waddling towards the door, intent on settling this one way or another, looking entirely unintimidating.

Looking at the man's hand and him walking away, a wide smile grew on his face ready for the fight that was ahead. But as his friend Bob went straight to the ground and was extremely startled, though not unsurprising. Especially given what was going on, maybe he was acting a bit rude and rash. Still he had a lot of pent up energy and anger, and right now these people just ended up unlucky. Still watching the man whose hand he recently broke, crawl away Alexei was prepared to set closer to throw him back into the crowd that was coming for them. But before anything could happen, the sound of a blaster bolt hitting something froze him. Slightly panicking thinking his buddy was shot by one of the assholes.

But turning around the bartender had apparently shot the roof and was now telling those who would partake in the fight to get out. Which was fine with him, turning to see how Bob was doing he saw the glare coming at him. Which confused him greatly? What was he expecting the rebel to do, as the man had just shoved a knife between them and had back up coming to clearly start a fight. Alexei simply thought it was safer to make the first move to hopefully deter any other actions. Though it didn't seem to work, Alexei couldn't have known that and took the action with he thought had the greatest chance of success.

"Hey I was just trying to stop it before it started." Alexei's hands were up in slight frustration, but as the man grabbed the knife and another from his own cloths.

He had no such weapons besides his pistol which he wasn't going to take out. It was a simple bar fight not something that required anyone dying, sure might break a few bones but nothing beyond that. Walking right next to his now upset friend, though whatever happens next he was prepared to jump out to deal with whoever jumped out at them as they walk out of the bar.

Bob sighed. He knew full well why Alexei did what he did, he just didn't approve. Who knows what the looming man might have wanted, he could have just wanted to join in on the conversation and might have ended up being a really nice guy! However unlikely that outcome may have been, it was still a possibility. They would never know now however, and as usual, a perfectly nice night was ending with a not so nice scrap in the alley with strangers and knives.

After a moments consideration, Bob held out the large mans knife to Alexei. It wouldn't do to leave the boy unarmed if things got really hairy. When they finally made it out of the bar, they were greeted by a group of maybe five or six tough looking men, each wearing leather, bandanna's, and had copious amounts of tattoo's painted all over them. They were clearly going for stereotypical gangster, but they didn't really intimidate Bob. He had lived long enough to become old and fat, and in this galaxy you don't live that long if you are helpless.

"Alright, how about we put away the knives, and just have a good old fashioned scrap right here? We don't want anyone to get seriously hurt, do we?" Bob tried a last ditch attempt at diplomacy, hoping to at least prevent the threat of serious bodily harm. He waved his own knife around non-threateningly, which was significantly larger than the thuggery's own switchblades and straight blades.

When Bob sighed, a little bit of Alexei felt somewhat ashamed though he did his best to avoid showing it. Right now it wasn't the best time to work out his own issues. But when the man handed him the knife the rebel almost smiled like a kid whose father just gave him a present. Flipping the knife a few times in his hand, the rebel had it so the blade end was coming out of the outside of his right hand. He wasn't actually planning on stabbing on anyone, more like doing a few cuts to hopefully scary them away.

Alexei isn't a cold blooded killer, sure he had been in fights and joining to kill people belonging to another ideology despite most of them, most likely being good people. Still as they walked out, his idea of the people they were about to fight being some good people with just a different opinion was thrown out of the window. Or at least the metaphysical window, unless he had to actually throw one of these people though a window in the fight.

Listening to Bob, he was in definite agreement with as he wasn't here to actually kill someone. He kept his blade in his hand though, concerned that maybe they would not listen to reason. For now he was here just to play support to Bob staring at anyone who would look him in the eye. Problem was there were out numbered so unless they could handle three people jumping them, it wasn't going to be pretty.

The thuggery looked to one another, confused at the offer of a simple slugging match. While Bob and Alexei might not have wanted to cause any real harm, and a few of the mook's may have simply been drunk enough to follow their friends outside, there were enough jerks on the other team who sneered and jeered at the poor old man and his young compatriot.

A few put their knives away, though one of the drunken ones merely 'pretended' to put it away. Hiding the small switchblade on the inside of his palm. It was clumsy and easily noticeable making Bob's shoulders slump sadly. If he wanted to at least remove a few of the other knives from the field, he would have to disarm himself as well. But the one schmuck who had kept his own blade on hand was going to be a problem. Not that it really mattered to Bob, he highly doubted these people could take him on with a knife. If it was anything else, maybe, but not a knife.

The numbers were not looking good for the two men, and even if they came out on top, they would be receiving their own fair share of lumps for the morning. Bob slowly slid his own knife back into his robes, warily eyeing the still armed man, while gesturing for Alexei to do the same.

That simple gesture seemed to be the signal to fight, as one of the thugs sprang forward to slug Alexei right in the jaw. The rest soon joined in, not waiting their turn and just jumping the two men like uncivilized cretins. As it was, there were three on Bob, and three on Alexei. Bob, in an attempt to guard himself from the assault, just shoulder tackled the first person to come into range of him.

As the man watched his opponents begin to put away their knives, it felt only fair for him to do the same. Dropping the knife and let it hit the ground, Alexei didn't notice though the one man who only pretended to put his knife away. Which might become a problem for him later. But as soon as the knife dropped though it seemed like everyone thought the fight was on. Like a gun firing and the runners rushing out to win one of the thugs jumped out at him. Though his mind felt the need to move but the alcohol in his system seemed to slow him down.

Despite Alexei pulling a bit back the edge of the thugs fist still made contact, sending him to the left as two more of the thugs rushed at him. Being somewhat hunched over one of the man went in for a knee to his head, his left hand was up to protect his face while his right hand shot up to grab the back of the man's leg. Jumping onto the man so that the man land on his back, thankfully for Alexei the thug's body provided some cushion for the fall. With the two others a bit shock and coming down to beat him up.

He let go of his left hand and did a quick strike to the man's face, it was with enough force to have the back of the man's head hit the ground. Knocking him cold out, hopefully though not causing any bleeding to the brain. But he started feeling the kicks and punches that slammed into him. One of the thugs began to grab a hold on his back and trying to choke him, he tired to elbow the man's stomach. But the other thug began to send haymakers into his stomach. Knocking the air out of his lungs, though he wasn't going down without a fight.

Kicking up as the thug began to charge up another punch and sending both feet straight into the thug's chest. Knocking him down, landing on top of the thug and as the man loosen up the hold on Alexei's neck. Picking himself up by his stomach and with a swift downward strike with the back of his head into the thug's nose.

Getting up hearing the groans and moans of the man now below him. Placing a foot on the man's stomach staring straight at the man in front of him, only one was left. But already a bit of blood came out of his mouth on the right of his lip. With several bruises on both his back, and side with a rather large red mark around his neck. Both of his hands were up ready to duke it out with the man. Though Alexei was struggling to get his breath back.

Blitzball athletes would be proud of the tackle Bob just performed on the poor schmuck he was now laid out on the ground, out cold with most likely a few broken ribs. His elation at his sudden victory was equally as suddenly removed and replaced with the toe of a steel-toed boot planted right into his old bones. Right in the ribs in fact. Now Bob wasn't a medical expert, - That was a lie, he was in fact a form of medical expert - But he did know that steel to the ribs is a big no go for healthy livin'.

With a cry of pain and a gasp of air, Bob rolled with the kick and sprang to his feet with speed that he shouldn't possess considering his age and size. Bob turned to face his second assailant with an angry growl, not noticing the knife wielder begin sneaking up behind him thanks to both his own inebriation, and the distraction who just kicked him very hard.

Bob threw a few jabs, catching the man on the face once or twice but doing no real damage. Before Bob managed to get a hold of an errant strike, grabbing his arm and then breaking his elbow with a quick pop. While not overly happy at having to have broken someones elbow, Bob did feel triumphant at having taken the man out of the fight. Bob also felt several inches of switchblade stick him in the back.

Letting out a roar that was more animal rage than pained old man, Bob spun around violently, smashing his fist into the throat of the soon to be choking to death man. With a few more pained wheezes, Bob payed the soon to be dead man no never mind, no longer caring how much damage was done now that he had just been stabbed. Now, Bob had been stabbed several times before as a younger man, but it never ever stopped hurting like a sunuvabitch. Especially now, as most of the times he had been stabbed had been in places like the shoulder, the hand, or the leg. Now though, from the sound of his pained wheezes, it was looking like he was stabbed somewhere in the lung.

Regardless, Bob turned once again, to the last thug of the little group that had been accosting the two innocent perusers of alcohol. He began lumbering forwards to try and protect his new, younger friend, but was having a hard time focusing on their attackers, and clumsily stumbled around the alley, a far cry from his previous skillful maneuvers.
