Help Me Please

I need help finding a way to get myself to write up a character so I can finally get back to RPing. Someone help me please. :'( I miss you guys.

I have a character in mind, and the plan I have for him faction wise is to start him off as an indie and as he develops find him a home with the Chiss or the IK or some other alternative faction than the Sith and Jedi and Mandalorians.

The problem I'm having, is more or less just forcing myself to write the character.

As bad as it sounds, the best thing to do is start at the bottom. The "core" of your character if you'd like.

What defines him/her? Is it a key event in their past? An ability? A hobby?
From there, you can extrapolate as to how they found that "core" and how it affects who they are today.

If you're looking to involve yourself with the Chiss, its best to seek out someone intimately familiar with the history and the customs. That way you can get the inside know-how on how that particular faction would interact with someone from the outside world, and you can work that into your base-line story.

From there its just a matter of diving into the fray! (Don't be afraid to ask people to start an RP thread with you! Most of us don't bite!)

My plan is to start as an indie, and then as the character progresses find him a faction. Or maybe stay indie. It just depends on how things develop.
