Hello! Starting off 'Hello' threads i always so difficult for me for some reason. Anyway, I have come looking to get my fill of Star wars rp. That being said I should also note that I have experience- albeit only about two years worth- role playing on a Warhammer 40k centric site, The Alfa Legion if you were wondering, but that site is run muuuch differently than this. Although I do think there's lots of fun to be had, and don't worry, I am taking a look at the rules and such, not assuming everything is the same. Can't wait to get started!

Thanks! And by the way, i'm still not entirely sure how this whole faction thing works or how it's implemented into things, so if I could get the low-down on that I would appreciate it.

Okeedoky :) here's the basics.

There are 4 main factions. These include the New Sith Imperium, The Rebellion, New Jedi Order, and the Hutt Cartel. Each of the main factions have several sub-threads to look at. I suggest you look around inside each of them to get a general idea of what they are about. The recruitment threads in each of the main factions are pretty easy to find once you get there. There are also several independent factions that tend to be a bit smaller, but provide a unique RP experience. What's cool about the independent factions is that you can create your own, as long as you have some people join in with you. There are several Mandalorian factions (too cliché for me) and some more miscellaneous type factions there. My only character, 4RK-008 or Fork, is part of The Gestalt which is an independent faction. You can find all of those on the main page.

The biggest suggestion I can give to you is to decide which faction, if any, you want to join. Then create a character to match the faction. Happy hunting :D
