Just wondering how many players are on either side of the fence (jedi, republic, sith etc). Is there any faction that's kinda low in characters or threads and subsequently slower in rp? Because I'll be honest, life is pretty busy and I'm probably going to waddle along from time to time and I'd rather populate areas that need populating, rather than just join in an orgy. I was perusing the character profile thread and noticed a lot of 'indie' faction characters. So what's the deal, are there heaps of Jedi's or sith or indies?
Also, is there a thread on character points like strength and knowledge? I don't know if I'm blind or what but I haven't seen it anywhere, expect in peoples character profiles.

Well, in answer to your question most force-based factions are well stocked, so I'd look into the Grand Army of the Republic or the Sarced Band of Ziost.

As for indies, there are people or factions outside the main ones. Most are doing fairly well this timeline, and are more for people who want to do things outside the main story.

Hey there! Welcome to SWRP.

Per everyone else, but I personally feel that the Jedi Order has been fairly lacking in its player base. And if you're looking for something slow and steady, I'd highly recommend them, mainly because the Sith is rather fast-paced and the Republic has been involved heavily in the conflict with the Brotherhood.

Grand Army was what stood out to me initially.

Ahh okay. Might bunk with the Jedi then. They're all calm and meditative too, lacking the good ol sand in the vag that the Sith have. Seems a good choice, thank you.

Hey,
Still working on the character at the moment and was wondering if there is a list of skills, force abilities, even fighting styles? Again I've just noticed people using these sorts of things liberally in the character sheets, yet there's no reference to them here.

Hello there!

I'll say, from experience, that placing your precise skill in the force or your fighting style is not obligatory, and is often unnecessary when it comes to actual battle. However, I don't think that's a good way to answer your question, so without further ado:

You can find force powers here on Wookiepedia, though keep in mind that not every ability might be allowed, but at the same time.
I also have a tweaked profile template that you are more than welcome to follow here, especially as it has a nice list of links to the current saber fighting styles.

Yeah I just see it as more of a 'this is what my character is capable of now' vs 'what they will learn' etc. Just to characterize growth, plus I was also curious to see the different styles/abilities.

People up there^ said that Jedi were in need, but I'll keep in mind what you've said and make sure that my next character will be Republic :) I might even try and have some links between this character and the next, leave some open strings to tie together a bit.

Jedi are need of something. But republic as not gotten a new member in some time. Still the best facstion.
