So I think I have been away from this site for like a year? Before the new timeline anyway. I know..shameful..But I am keen on getting back into the swing of things! I have already posted my character for this timeline on the profiles. But is the recruitment into the faction the same as before? I see there are two options: senate or army..but my character is a mechanic from Tatooine...Any suggestions? Also if anyone wanted to RP, let me know :D

That really depends on what you want to do with her. Presumably, she'd not be a Senator so... that sign-up is irrelevant.

Would enlisting in the army be something she'd reasonably do? Perhaps as a mechanic or an engineer. Pay, guaranteed food and water, as well as decent job security all for the price of potentially being shot at, stabbed or otherwise maimed/killed might appeal to somebody from a place like Tatooine. The motor pool doesn't keep itself repaired after all.

It is always a joy to rewelcome old members. Especiallh those who you have personally RP-ed with. In every respect, mechanics are a much needed asset for the army. Their technical know-how is essential for the working of everything in the vast war machinery.

And thanks for all the advice guys, I will have her join the army, cause I did think mechanics would be needed! This is exciting. :)
