@Lucid, unfortunately, your character wouldn't have a lightsaber in this PVP against Logan and me. Since you never listed having a lightsaber in your OP with your character he wouldn't have it in his second post. Your first post had already been locked in by our earlier posting round. Second, there's no inventory of what weapons your character carries on his CS, just his training. So, could you please edit your post to remove the part of him having his lightsaber and holding it in his hand.

@Orbit he's a Jedi. Jedi carry lightsabers. You have an issue with this take it to ruling. I'm not getting this deadlocked on the first round because you want to be picky.

While players may state their equipment in the opening posts of a thread to account for changes or additions to what's on a profile, the character profile is the main point of reference for what the character may use in combat. This means a player may utilize anything posted on their character profile in a thread within reason (no abruptly pulling out vehicles or personal ships).

That is from the PVP rules and you do not have anything listed on your character profile except his training. So we can go to a ruling which will end in the same result or you can just take out your lightsaber so we don't have to go through that process. The title of Jedi means nothing to what you carry. @Lucid

Hey, let’s take a deep breath, fighting has not even started so this is certainly not a great way to get things going. @Lucid if this going to stress you out too much I am sure we can negotiate to have another member replace you. Knee-jerk responses never end well and I don’t think Orbit meant to be malicious in any way. The rules are clear, but it something the staff is reviewing for nuTL to avoid what seems like nitpicking.

I am aware of the rules, but picking at something like this is basically metagaming. Jedi carry lightsabers, my character has used them in other threads and it should be just a basic assumption, like mandos wearing armor that a Jedi Knight would have their lightsaber on them.

@Orbit I understand that the rules are there to prevent people from pulling radical shit however this is not the case here. Watching you create an entire OOC just to try and deprive me of my lightsaber on a technicality feels very meta. Technically sure, you're correct but this is the first time I've encountered this problem over numerous years and numerous PvP threads. If we can move on from this and admit, yes I made a mistake but not one that is game breaking in any massive way that would be fine.

If you want to press the issue then I think perhaps we should do what GABA suggested and find a replacement.

It's not meta, it's simply just in the rules. But by all means, if you can find a replacement then we'll be perfectly fine with that.

Sorry to sound whiny or boring - but if any of your character's defeats Kyi, would you mind capturing him instead of killing him?

@vamp, Hey, it's fine that your character gets out of the way of the blaster fire from our two characters but could you have him take some slight damage at least? While your character is level two and more attuned with the force, the two blaster bolts are coming only from at least a couple of meters apart and from a different direction. You could just add that he gets a blaster graze across his ribs or something along that nature, nothing too serious but something that he would feel and be able to just continue with the rest of the post. That cool with you?
