Hastur is a boy whom is in complete command of his own emotions to say the least. Ever since his enigmatic dawn on the streets of Taris it had been hard for others to truly pin down his honest thoughts or feelings. This trait even extending towards older men and psychologists whom were completely intent on discerning his various moods. Hastur, in a unique way, simply seemed to possess a bizarre talent to warp his emotional state into happy, angry, sad, scared or any number of complex arrays simply through the force of his own solitary will.

The art, although strange and seemingly compulsive, usually presented itself as a means to compliment the social framework of those immediately around him. Through training with frequent social interaction on the streets of Taris Hastur was able to call upon emotions on a whim to deal with any number of social situations. This skill allowed him to avoid encounters as meek as social awkwardness, to even potentially dangerous criminal disputes. The odd thing about this mental metamorphosis, is that the entire process while obviously a farce, is oddly genuine. The trouble of others was not that they could not see or sense his true mood, such a task was simple as he wore them on his sleeve. The questions came that even when he would change his mental state from one extreme to another, before their very eyes. The change was, on every level, real, except to him. It was his true mood changing.

It was this skill which raised intrigue to his force potential and led to him being indoctrinated into the order as a youngling.

Though eventually, age set in, the novel value of the game of switching from one extreme persona to another long faded as the excitement dimmed for both himself and those around him. Hastur, when he’s on his own and not feeding off of the emotions of others around him, is a somewhat cold, quaint and introverted creature with little interest in human communication and a vast appreciation of plantlife and flora. his tool of social assimilation often used simply to engage with humanity on any level at all due to its sheer usefulness, evolving into a complex social defense mechanism the moment social engagement began with another being. Some have claimed that they can feel the slightest aura of the force around him as he engages this way, however, so subtle is the effect it would easily go under the nose of all but those expressly knowing what they were looking for, and who actively searching for it.

Although, there is a price to pay for relying heavily on even a benevolent tool so mentally divisive...

Biography

Act I: Enlightenment.

Born on Taris to a small yet modest family, the Father of Hastur was a career soldier for the republic, a man of respect and honor, while simultaneously holding no discernable rank, renown or prestige. His father often spent his days moving from one guard station to another, keeping him away from home for weeks and sometimes months at a time due to the war. Until time simply became too much, the strain which his absence placed on his wife and family created an ever expanding rift which would inevitably lead to his mother leaving him for another, more present man. This act alone promoted Hastur for some time to be the man of the house, forcing the young boy to find some rogue semblance of work at a young age in order to dutifully support his growing family… While so young, there was little for a boy to do, so, ever the pragmatist; Hastur would simply ask merchants, bounty hunters, criminals or anyone within range if there were anything he would be able to do for them. And lo, the courier was born.

While much of the work was menial, it was consistent. Hasturs’ natural charisma carried him to heights quickly and efficiently as people were quick to trust an honest boy in search of work for his family. His labour consisted of simply moving stock from one place to another, taking medicines, food packages or other goods from one store or location to another within an acceptable time frame. Hastur, dedicated to his work, performed admirably with a smile stretched proudly across his face, never once failing to deliver his package on time to its correct destination. All the while developing a valuable skill which would serve him for the rest of his life. However, there is a darker side to being useful, those who attain such skills quickly see those around them keen to use it for their own gain, this fact, is true of any society, but especially in the holes of the Taris Underground.

Ever looking for a front, Hasturs’ value rose especially sharply among those who repeatedly acquired his service, finding him not only to be a trustworthy, but a model worker who could get seemingly any job done, without asking too many questions. It wasn’t long until this reputation spread within the lowly middle sections of Taris’ underbelly. This enlightenment lead him to carrying more and more sensitive information and packages for higher and higher entities, at higher and higher prices. So it was, this pattern of commerce continued. Sensitive information of gang members to spice packages, money, weapons, corporate secrets and more had passed through the boys hands as he never exploited the package he contained, even though he knew the contents of every package he carried. Hastur had quickly developed a business sense for keeping himself safe when delivering packages, a strict courier-client confidentiality agreement including semi-full disclosure of what he was carrying as well as several other stipulations and conditions based on identifiable factors swiftly changed into a code of conduct.

Few had tried to steal information from the boy, but his quick lip and celebrity status quickly saw wrongdoing punished publicly by those who made use of the boy.

It became known, that if you’re asking for Hastur, you were getting a professional, despite his youthful visage. The kid became a symbol of family pride and a well known and protected community celebrity. Although, for all intents and purposes, hidden from the world, many thought that he was little more than a delivery grocer on the streets of Taris with his pattented chilled lead-lined case.

Act II: Entanglement.

It wasn’t long until his notoriety naturally came to its inevitable climax, incarnated in his most interesting client thus far. A solitary Jedi Knight. Looking for someone who knew the undercity within Hasturs’ community, it was Hastur whom was recommended. The charismatic yet modest boy that the Jedi met, moved through emotional state to emotional state in an attempt to appeal to the Jedi’s emotional calm and build a powerful rapport, this strange public effect only leading to further ignite the knight’s now ever growing curiosity for the young human boy.

Leading the Jedi through a scum infested slum, Hastur used his connections, status and favors to guide the Jedi to the person he was looking for, a bizzare woman who handed the Jedi what seemed to be a datapad of some kind. Curious, Hastur Inquired to the datapad, to which the Jedi declined. Upon revealing that his service would only continue should the Jedi reveal the information, the Jedi contiued to decline, and Hastur revoked his service, asking for his payment. After his duty was complete, Hastur returned home, to find that the Knight had taken a notably quick personal stop to Hasturs’ own house, where he had spent the last few minutes attempting to negotiate that Hastur may have some latent talent with the mysterious force. Asking that he be taken with him for potential training as a Jedi. The battle was hard-fought against the protective mother, but in a surprise twist of events, Hastur agreed and together with the Knights’ influence, the battle was eventually won.

Over the following years the boy showed some modest talent in the force, passing the trials to ultimately become an initiate in the Jedi order. As time flowed ever onward, Hastur found himself within the very ranks of the Army of Light that his father had spoken of the few times he had returned home... Though, not all stories have an expected ending. It was discovered that Hasturs’ talent in the force gradually stunted as he developed more and more as a Jedi. The more he seemed to learn the way of the Jedi and live amongst them, the more difficult he found it to practise anything to do with the force itself. This pattern continued until eventually, his lessons and talent seemed to grind to disappointing yet definate halt before his tutors’ very eyes and to Hastors’ Infinite yet oddly optimistic dismay at the time. The boy, resigned to his fate, simply willing for a place to belong, would move to his studies in search of a calling.

It was within the novelia and knowledge of the Jedi temple that he would discover the tale of a plant whose root, prepared correctly could enduce a coma, where a force sensitive user could have visions of their future. Entranced by the cultural tale, Hastor delved deeper into the mysteries of the natural world, planting gardens of medicinal herbs and caring for them where he was able, his ability to cultivate and grow flora generating a vast fascination and allure to plants in hopes to be of more use to the Jedi Order in future. But such a process was slow, so, more immediately, the boy called upon the skill he had attained in his childhood before the order, asking his superior if he could take up the role he once practised so well on taris… So the courier was reborn.

Where this would lead, none could know...

Skills and Abilities
2mcipmh.jpg
Hastur is physically fit and well built for a child of his age, though not built to be a fighter so much as an athlete or high octane runner, he has defined abdominal muscles and an endurence that would allow him to run at a jogging or average pace for a considerable sum of time should he be required to. During the early days of his studies he quickly took to the free-running art of movement that Ataru provided rather than its usual acrobatic combat style, an affinity that had been no doubt gained by his life on Taris. This developed into a range of movements and basic philosophies revolving around the sustenance of momentum over any terrain, rather than combat or dueling. Effectively, he saw Ataru as the perfect form, to run away.

However, while he was not a great student in the broader arts of Jedi combat, his hand-eye coordination skills were considered high for a child of his age, whether that had something to do with his force sensitivity was yet to be seen, but it lended him to be a solid shot with a blaster or throwing weapons in a pinch. Accompanying these skills he developed some finesse with the basic shoto lightsaber forms within the umbrella category of Form I: Shii-Cho, shying away from direct strikes and skills rather, employing the close range advantage of a short weapon in extreme close quarters hand to hand grappling where the use of a small bladed weapon was far more advantageous than that of a traditional long blade.

Though of all his practical skills, piloting, stealth and communication became Hasturs’ strongest suit, needing to learn how to use transport himself, coerce or even go so far as to manipulate others to get from A to B as quickly as possible was at the root core of his trade as a courier within the bounds of a hostile galaxy. As such, Hastur had needed to adapt quickly to his surroundings with little more than his wit, least his package never arrive on time...

Hastor has limited access to the force at all, being practically stunted in his ability to learn any more than he already has, the reasons for this are currently unknown. As of yet, Hastur only has two manifestations of his force potential each seemingly integrated deeply with his personality:

Social Camouflage: Assumed to be a subtle and inherent form of reverse Empathy, Hastors’ ability to change his emotional state from one extreme to another is an interesting ability to say the least. This seemingly passive factor contributes largely to most of Hastors’ charismatic ability. Effectively; the empathetic ability is enacted not on others, but upon himself. Hastur instantly and fluently generates any emotion that he wishes to at any time by, with some influence of the force fooling his own mind into believing the mood is genuine, much like a lier believing their own falsehoods, set to its most extreme. Hastur seems to be aware of this ability, though its nature escapes him, seeing it as merely a skill he has always been able to perform.

Cultivation: Another passive force talent, perhaps a deep rooted affinity for a technique similar to ‘plant surge.’ Hastors’ knowledge of and ability to cultivate flora is an incredible spectacle should others have the pleasure of gazing upon his gardens. While holding no practical or combat application as of yet... Plants cultivated and cared for by Hastor grow exceedingly quickly, emulating the speed in which they would grow under perfect and even synthetically conditioned environments. In every case specimens emerge optimal, healthy and vibrant with little flaw in their form once they come to the apex of fruition. It’s to be noted that while tending to plant life, Hastor seems to enter a kind of passionate trance, one might consider a form of active meditation.

Possessions

~Courier Case: The Case used by Hastur to take most of his goods from point A to point B on any of his many assignments. How many of these cases that he seems to be in possession of, is currently unknown. Though the material the case seems to be lined with a composite alloy similar to lead, whose density does not allow sensors to detect the case or contents within the case, allowing it to be passed on by most sensors with impunity.

~Ship: A variant of the Oceanspray freighter equipped with twin torpedo tubes, comfortable suites and an open meeting room in place of a brig, a second escape pod and an upgraded shield generator to a standard military grade shield. At cost of about ½ the storage space. The ship has civilian registration details tracing back to Taris and Hasturs’ step-father, having used his credentials to register the ship, effectively putting the deadbeat spice smuggler on the line should Hastur get in any real trouble.

~Shoto Lightsaber: Hasturs lightsaber is little more than a shoto usually used for parrying more than intense combat. Whether wielding it in an ice-pick grip or in a standard manner, the foot and a half long blade provides some decent length and cutting potential, considering the standard materials that compose it.

All i gotsta do is get him approved and we can do something! lol. I made Hastur to be a really strange kinda tragic. My reason for his force potential just falling off is because his personality revolves around changing himself to better suit others. He's gonna learn at some point later that you can't build on anything without a foundation. He needs to discover who he really is, but for the time being, he's lost. The trouble is, it's hard to realize that due to the social camouflage thing. He thinks this 'is' him and he has it under control, in reality he doesn't.

Edit: APPROVED! YAY
