VIN PAVAN

TITLE: Knight SPECIES: Near-human AGE: 18 HEIGHT: 1.70 m WEIGHT: 55 kg

VIN PAVAN is a young Knight in the Jedi Order. Rejected by her own family because of her Jedi blood, she has spent the vast majority of her life training in isolation, staying out of sight from members of her own family who are out for her blood.

BIOGRAPHY

  • The Noble and most Ancient House of Pavan was one of the oldest, craziest, and probably one of the most disreputable noble families on Onderon. Centuries of in-fighting, ineptitude, and a general lack of common sense had left them broken and nearly destitute by the time of Vin's birth. Her father, not sharing in most of the family's ways, had left to make a life of his own years before she was born, having met Vin's mother on one of his adventures. But while he had left the family, they had forgotten about him, and when he returned home with a newborn Vin in his hands he was back under their vile influence once more.

Vin was only three when her abilities with the Force started manifesting, and in his desperation to protect his daughter Liam reached out to the only person he could trust with her life, her mother. News of Vin's powers had already reached members of the house, and within the next year or so three separate attempts were made on her life. Her so called family would much rather see her dead than bear the shame of one of their own grow up to be a Jedi. Unfortunately for Liam he was unable to contact Vin's mother, who had seemingly vanished, but he was ultimately able to reach out to her mentor, a Jedi by the name of Bo-dan Fey. Odd even by the standards of the Order, Fey had exiled himself years ago on Onderon, it was why Vin's mother had been on the planet and met Liam. Out of respect for his lost student's memory, and not one to refuse helping one in need of it, Fey agreed to take Vin under his wing, to train and protect her.

Adjusting to life with Fey was not easy for Vin. While her father had in no way spoilt her, he had provided her with most comforts, comforts that were now no longer available to her. Transitioning from a life of comfort to the ascetic ways of the Jedi would not be an easy transition for anyone, but Vin was young enough that she was slowly able to grow used to her new life. Young as she was, it didn't take long for Vin to accept her life as a Jedi. Despite still being on Onderon, Fey made sure that they were cut off from the Galaxy at large. By doing so he was able to protect Vin from not just her family, but also from the darkness that was spreading through the Galaxy in the aftermath of the century long conflict with the Exiles.

Fey had made his home on the outskirts of a large forest, and the two Jedi spent most of their time traveling to the various towns and villages that were scattered around the forest. The villagers saw them as little more than wandering hermits, and mostly left them to themselves. They were considered weird because they lived so close to the forest, which almost all the locals were afraid of. Early on Vin would help Fey help keep the locals safe, stopping crimes when they could, catching criminals when possible. But soon she realized these were the more mundane duties Fey had taken upon himself. The real reason he was there was to guard the forest.

Vin had grown up hearing stories about the forests that sprawled across Onderon, and the beasts that inhabited them. Almost every town, village, or hamlet had some or the other story about the forests near them. Most were simply tales told to keep children away from the woods and the dangers that lived within. But when Fey finally took her into the forest, Vin sensed what lay within and knew that this forest was different. There was a darkness within the forest, a darkness that was hard to miss even for someone as untrained as her. The real protection the Jedi offered the locals was from this darkness. The feral beasts that lived in the forest, corrupted by the Dark side, posed a threat to any that ran into them. And the darkness had an effect on anyone venturing into the forest, driving them crazy. Fey's training, along with dealing with the darkness within the forest and whatever it had to throw at them meant that Vin was constantly being pushed to the limit.

Vin didn't know it at the time, but Fey was preparing her to face the darkness that had consumed the Galaxy. For years he had fought the Council when they asked him to send Vin to help with the war, adamant that he would not be forced into rushing her training. While this helped Vin, it ruined Fey's relationship with the Council. So when the time came that the darkness within the forest grew too strong for the two Jedi to handle on their own the Council refused to send help. Left with no alternatives, Fey had to send Vin to the Council to explain their predicament in person and return with whatever aid she could muster. After more than a decade in isolation, the time has come for Vin to face the what the Galaxy had to offer.

ABILITIES

  • DJkdTBE.gif

Vin was born with a very strong connection to the Force, and over a decade's worth of training has given her a level of proficiency with the Force that is advanced for her age. She has always possessed raw strength, and years of training has enabled her to consciously tap into that strength. But she still has a ways to go before she is able to harness her full potential and gain the finer control that comes with true mastery of the Force. Still, as a Jedi she is definitely one who relies more on the Force than her skills with a lightsaber.

Force Sense: Developed over the course of years spent on the alert for an attack by corrupted animals, this is probably her most refined skill. She is very skilled at sensing others around him, particularly other Force users, and being able to sense when she is being lied to.
Empathy: Be it due to her Zeltron heritage, or just some innate ability, Vin is very sensitive to the feelings of those around her, particularly those she knows well. Her fine tuned senses within the Force open her up to a sea of emotions, which can at times be overwhelming and could even be seen as a weakness that could be used against her.
Danger Sense: Fey's teaching made her focus less on the more flamboyant applications of the Force, such as Force enhanced acrobatics or waves of telekinetic destruction, and develop a more refined connection to the Force. As Fey explains it, closing off all the loud noises allows her to better hear the whispers of the Force. These whispers have kept her alive through more than one expedition into the forest, giving her warnings about impending danger. This "luck", as she often calls it, is probably the single greatest gift at her disposal.
Mind Trick: Another skill that benefits from her more subtle approach to the Force is her ability to influence others. The finer control she has over the Force makes it easier for her to influence others. Though she initially struggled with the morals of using the Force to influence someone's thoughts, by being selective about when she uses these powers she has made his peace with this aspect of her abilities. Vin mostly used these powers to calm people in the aftermath of particularly violent attack from the forest's creatures, or to prevent people from panicking during or before such attacks. The frequency of the attacks meant that she had a great deal of practice with her powers.
Healing: As a young Jedi Telekinesis was the ability Finn showed the greatest affinity for. While he was once very skilled, this is one of the areas where his powers have regressed the most. It is also the clearest reflection of how he has changed over the years, changing from a loud and exuberant teen to a calm and cautious adult. A lack of practice has left him capable of doing little more than floating fruits and dishes across the room, and that too requires some concentration to achieve.

While Fey's training involved building and learning to use a lightsaber, Vin has only ever used her blade to fight animals, practice with a training remote, and the occasional sparring session with Fey. While her Force abilities might be advanced for her age, her skills with a lightsaber are very much at the level of a padawan.
Form II, Makashi: With the Jedi clashing against the Exiles for almost a century, Fey had mastered the second form of lightsaber combat, and passed on the same knowledge to Vin. She won't be accidentally stabbing herself to death, but she still has a ways to go before she is considered a good swordsman.
  • zCJeEUk.jpg

With years of training and surviving off of the land, Vin is strong, fast and exceedingly nimble.
Hand to Hand Combat: As Fey did not want the locals to know that they were Jedi, any occasion when they were called upon to protect the peace in view of others resulted in Vin making use of hand to hand combat.
  • o4ZGcyQ.png

    Vin's other skills include:
Intelligence: While no genius, Vin is quite bright and a quick learner. Her naturally inquisitive personality serves her well in this regard, as she is always open to the project of learning something new. While her occasional absentmindedness may make people think that she is slow and dim-witted, she is anything but. She also has a sharp tongue, quick to speak up and more than often regret what she has said. She is
Pilot: Having spent most of her life in isolation on one planet, Vin isn't really a particularly skilled or experienced pilot. Having only used speeders and bikes to travel, she is decently skilled at piloting them, but that is about the extend of her skills as a pilot.
Technology: Vin hasn't had a lot of exposure to cutting edge technology, at least not since before she joined the Jedi Order. She is able to make her way around consoles, and isn't completely technologically illiterate, but she isn't really someone capable of slicing into secure records or bypass locked gates. She makes do with a lightsaber. She knows barely enough mechanics to maintain her lightsaber and the speeder bike that was her lifeline.

As a freshly knighted Jedi, Vin is just one in a sea of lightsaber wielding monks that the Galaxy couldn't care about. Neither does she have a reputation to be worried about, nor is she actively looking to gain one.

    The Scrubbiest
Despite being a Jedi, Vin can be something of a klutz at times. She has lost her lightsaber on multiple occasions, things had gotten so bad that for a while Fey only let her use practice sabers as it would be less dangerous if they were misplaced or fell into the wrong hands.

Ham
Hutt Basadi, Enforcer for hire
|
Ham is a male zeltron enforcer working within the ranks of the Hutt Cartel. Born on Zeltros, Ham was sold as a slave at a young age and grew to be a gladiator, where he ultimately won his freedom by going undefeated in the gladiatorial ring for five years. Upon winning his freedom, he was offered an opportunity to join the cartel by Nem'ro the Hutt, an offer he accepted. Since then he has made his way to the position of Basadi, though he has his eyes on much more.

Even as a child Ham was larger, stronger, and faster than others his age. Born and raised in an orphanage, the young Ham caught the eye of a "trainer" whose job was to scout and train fighters for gladiator fights on various Hutt controlled planets. A few well placed bribes and Ham was sold off to be trained as a gladiator.

Due to his abnormally large size, Ham was seen as a diamond in the rough and a prime candidate to become a successful fighter. The next few years of his life were taken over by training. Dedicated training, a specialized diet, and constant monitoring of almost every aspect of his life resulted in him growing to be a freak of a physical specimen. By the time he was out of his teens he was roughly the size of a small Wookiee, and capable of facing off against one in the fighting pits.

Ultimately, when he had learned as much as he could from his various defeats, he started dominating the pits. He soon became the undisputed champion of the arena and maintained his undefeated status for a number of years. Finally, sensing that interest in his fights was dwindling due to no one expecting him to lose, the organizers allowed him to face a number of champions selected by them and win his freedom by defeating them. The organizers extracted one final large payday from him, and Ham finally earned his freedom.

Soon after his freedom, Ham was approached by Nem'ro the Hutt with the prospect of employment under the Hutt Cartels. Though the arena he had fought in had been small and insignificant in the grand scale of things, his actions hadn't gone entirely unnoticed by everyone, and Nem'ro hoped to put his skills to good use.

Since then Ham has been working for the Cartel, working mostly as muscle on various tasks, but at the same time learning from those around him and growing beyond just a grunt. This growth was ultimately rewarded by his promotion to the rank of Basadi.

Ham's defining trait is his greed. Having grown up with nothing, he was left with a burning desire to possess everything he could get his hands on. Women, riches, power, luxury, he wants it all. He possesses the ability to identify what he wants, and push himself till he gets it. As a child, newly arrived in the gladiator pits, he saw how the best fighters were given more food, better drinks, and other comforts, and trained harder than everyone around him till he occupied that position.

But while he has gained a lot due to his driven nature, he also had a strong fear of losing everything he has gained.

Pash is an extreemly intelligent and determined young man, quick on the uptake and sharp as a knife. Growing up the streets imparted him with street smarts, and that above anything else has kept him alive over the years. He is an excellent marksman, be it with hold-out blasters or rifles with their greater ranges. He is also good at tracking and moving without attracting too much attention to himself, a result of the years spent as a pickpocket on the streets of Nal Hutta. His life experiences have taught him a varied and highly disjointed set of skills. Fighting for survival as a child taught him brawling, while years of criminal life have honed his hand-to-hand combat abilities. He is also an ace pilot, and a good mechanic, more than capable of keeping his ship flying. He is also a competent slicer. His tendency to get involved in the various aspects of a con and learning what was needed to pull it off has resulted in him picking up a lot of disjointed knowledge and skills over the years. Astrophysics, medicine, art, cooking are but some of the fields he has picked up some smattering of information in. But he is far from a expert in any of them, as he tends to learn just enough to get by, and drops the subject as soon as the job is done.

Pash carries a CSA-2A blaster pistol as his primary firearm, though he also carries a Stinger stun blaster tucked away in his boots as a failsafe. A collapsible vibro-sword is his primary melee weapon. He is also in possession of a PB-Series protocol droid that has been loaded with piloting protocols and various legal protocols and serves as his personal chauffeur and aide.

Wayne Andrillian is the leader of the criminal empire on Plexis and the mastermind behind getting Pash his seat on the Senate. Once a rising start within the ranks of the Hutt Cartel, he was thrown out after he slept with the wrong woman and angered the Vigo he served. The scars he bears on his face were a part of the punishment he received at the time of his banishment. With Pash's help, Wayne has since consolidated the various criminal organizations on Plexis, and even set up some legitimate fronts for his wealth. He is by far the most influential person on Plexis, and hopes to use Pash's position in the Senate to further his power. The relationship between Wayne and Pash is that a weird mix of mentor-mentee and fathers-son, with both of their pasts preventing them from being truly familial in the conventional sense.

Finn Dondarrion

TITLE: None SPECIES: Firrerreo AGE: 18 HEIGHT: 1.72 m WEIGHT: 62.3 kg

Finn is a young man wandering the Galaxy in pursuit of his goal to one day become a Jedi Knight. Despite the Order's denials, Finn believes himself to be the son of the late Art Dondarrion, once a prominent of Jedi Order. Despite having been rejected by the Order on the grounds of having no talent with the Force, believes he has inherited his father's gifts and is confident that he will some day live up to his name.

Born in a time of strife, most Jedi received extensive training in lightsaber combat, Finn being no exception:

Finn prefers to lure enemies in, reacting to their combat style rather than being the aggressor himself, and striking when the enemy has worn themselves out or provides an opening to land a critical strike.

Beau Antilles
pjydpZ5.jpg

TITLE: Knight SPECIES: Human AGE: 20 HEIGHT: 1.83 m WEIGHT: 180 lbs

I came to eat crisps and heal wounds, and I'm all out of crisps
Beau Antilles, known by most as simply Beau, was a male Morellian who served as a padawan in Rey Skywalker's reformed Jedi Order. Hoping to stay out of conflict and combat as much as he could, he worked with the more scholarly sects of the Order, and enjoyed a comfortable life maintaining the archives on the Jedi Temple of Ajan Kloss, till the Sith attack left the Temple ruined and inhabitable. Following the tragedy, he was forced into more active service as he was sent out into the Galaxy to seek lost knowledge and help rebuild the Jedi Archives.

Generally cautious and unmotivated, his saving graces were his academic inclination and a natural aptitude for healing. he spent most of his time away form the Order at large, leading relief efforts on planets ravaged by the war and learning what he could from the various species and cultures he met.
Personality
Jon is a rogue, a scoundrel who is as much a smuggler as he is Jedi. He is an optimist, a glass half full kind of guy, who can find the silver lining in almost any situation. Highly perceptive, smart, and witty, he is not afraid to speak his mind no matter what the situation or who he is dealing with. A risk taker, he is not afraid to put even his life on the line for a cause if he believes it is the right one. He also thinks of himself as a ladies man, full of confidence and never scared to hit on the fairer sex, striking out more often than not, not that this dissuades him in any way. But beneath it all he is a good man, a man who feels pity for the unfortunate, a man who will happily share his last loaf of bread with a child even if he himself is starving.
Skills + Possessions
Like most Consulars, Beau has a preference for nonviolent uses of the Force, foremost of which is Force healing. Though still a padawan, his time at the Temple was spent delving deep to unravel the secrets of the Force, and while not the ideal partner to have in a fight, Beau is a very skilled healer.

To maintain his disguise of a travelling peddler, he has picked up a lot of skills that you wouldn't expect a Jedi to know. Card tricks, juggling, telling stories, sleights of hand, cooking, and many other random tricks of the trade that you would expect an actual peddler to know. As a scholar, he possesses an esoteric knowledge of rather obscure topics, his travels having allowed him to interact with a great many shamans, matrons, scholars, religious leaders, and the like, which has given him the opportunity to gain a lot of knowledge straight from the source.

Though he has an aversion to combat, he does like physical exertion and pushing his body to the limit. As as result he is is very fast and nimble on his feet, and has kept himself in almost peak physical shape.

FINN DONDARRION

TITLE: Detective SPECIES: Human AGE: 22 HEIGHT: 1.85 m WEIGHT: 82.3 kg

FINN DONDARRION is a knight within the Jedi Order. One of the new line of Jedi knighted to face the threat of the Exiles, he was once a promising Jedi rising through the ranks of the Order till he was captured by the Exiles. Though the Jedi were able to rescue him, it wasn't before he had been tortured for days and left with a crippled connection to the Force. Now, a shadow of the Jedi he once was, he is left to find his place within the Order and the Galaxy at large.

BIOGRAPHY

  • Hailing from a family of traders and merchants, Finn's Force sensitivity was discovered early on and he was accepted into the Jedi Order when he was only five years old. Growing up he proved himself to be a bright, intelligent child, always near the top of his class. Among the first within his class to consciously use and control the Force, he was the first to get accepted as a padawan. He excelled in almost all aspect of his training, and obviously it went to his head. He learned everything his masters tried teaching him, other than humility. Not only did he think his skill and strength in the Force made him better than those who couldn't keep up with him, instead of helping them he looked down on them and saw them as a burden who would stop him from being the best Jedi in the Galaxy.

Finn was fourteen when, along with a number of his peers, he was knighted and rushed into the conflict with the Exiles. While a number of his friends and peers were injured, killed, or even fell and joined the Exiles, Finn grew from strength to strength and made a name for himself. While he felt for his fallen comrades, his eyes were very much aimed forwards and upwards. His actions earned him attention, and he loved it. All that really mattered to him was the next mission, the next success, and the next round of adoration and applause.

Participating in a raid on a potential Exile outpost, Finn was able to convince one of the Exiles, whom he had known in the academy, to lay down his arms and surrender. While Finn harbored hopes of redemption, his superiors had other thoughts and Finn could only look on in stunned disbelief as the disarmed Exile was executed. While the knight was later reprimanded for his actions, and Finn received assurances that the Council would make sure such incidents did not happen again, Finn knew that this was neither the first, nor would it be the last time this happened. The Order just wasn't what his parent's stories had made it out to be. With his belief in the Order lost, Finn saw no other option than to leave. It broke his parents' heart, but they understood why he had to leave.

Finn made his way to Corellia and, with recommendations from CorSec officers he had worked with in the past, was able to join the CorSec academy. Over the course of the next six years he graduated from the academy with flying colors and started rising up the ranks of the CorSec. Now, as a rookie detective, he is making an honest living for himself while trying to keep his distance from the Jedi. But with the conflict between the Jedi and the Exiles looking unlikely to end any time soon, and more and more of the Galaxy feeling the effects of the war, it looks unlikely that he will be able to do so for long.
  • To be added...

ABILITIES

  • PhPtYjC.jpg

Upon losing much of his connection to the Force, Finn can no longer rely on the Force or his favored Ataru style of ligthsaber combat. The only option left to him was to start using a blaster while he grew accustomed to his diminished abilities.
Blasters: Lacking the skills or the experience to be effective with anything more powerful, Finn has tried to accustom himself to blasters. While his strength in the Force is weakened, he can still sense the Force, and feel the nudges of guidance he has always felt, though they are harder to sense now. He is able to use the Force to improve the accuracy of his shots. He isn't a ace shooter by any means, but a with the skills he does have and his limited Force powers he is halfway decent with a blaster in his hands.
  • vEa2hF7.jpg

While he was technically a full fledged Knight before he left the Order, his training was never really completed, though the experience gained from being thrown into the conflict with the Exiles might have helped him make up for some of the lost training. To an outsider it may seem like his skills have regressed in the years since leaving the Order, but he sees it as having gained a deeper understanding of the Force which has changed how he uses it. Instead of treating the Force as a tool to allow him to perform pointless acrobatics or run faster, he now sees the Force as a guide. By not attempting to enforce his own will on the Force he has opened himself to better listen to the will of the Force. He rarely makes use of the more physical manifestations of the Force, relying instead on a more subtle approach which has served him well.

Force Sense: Probably his most refined skill, Finn has a very keep sense of awareness with the Force. He is very skilled at sensing others around him, particularly other Force users. He is also able to sense when he is being lied to, a talent that is very handy in his line of work. His skills with a blaster are also greatly enhanced by his ability to not only see but feel where he needs to shoot.
Danger Sense: Turning his back on the more flamboyant applications of the Force, such as Force enhanced acrobatics or waves of telekinetic destruction, has helped him develop a more refined connection to the Force. As per his own understanding, closing off all the loud noises allows him to better hear the whispers of the Force. These whispers have kept him alive him on more than one occasion, giving him warnings about impending danger. This "luck", as his fellow officers call it, is probably the single greatest gift at his disposal.
Mind Trick: Another skill that has benefited from his new outlook on the Force is his ability to influence others. The finer control he has over the Force as compared to when he left the Order has made it easier for him to influence others. Though he initially struggled with the morals of using the Force to influence someone's thoughts, by being selective about when he uses these powers he has made his peace with this aspect of his abilities. Finn mostly uses these powers to calm people in the aftermath of traumatic experiences, or to prevent people from panicking in dangerous situations. While he sometimes also uses these powers to draw a confession out of a guilty party, he tries not to do so unless not doing so would put lives at risk.
Telekinesis: As a young Jedi Telekinesis was the ability Finn showed the greatest affinity for.

Rallick was a child when his village was attacked by slavers and he was taken from his family. He was ultimately purchased by a Miraluka by the name of Lyra, a former Jedi who had left the Order to join the ranks of the Jedi Exiles. She sensed a strength in Rallick that convinced her to free the boy, but from that day onwards he was hers. She trained him with brutality and little patience, pushing him to his limits and repeatedly putting his life in risk to forge him into a weapon she could someday use.

By the time he was seventeen he had experienced more hardships than most would in an entire lifetime, and to Lyra's satisfaction those hardships had strengthened him instead of breaking him. But one thing that she wasn't able to beat into him, no matter how brutal she was in his training, was the blind obedience she sought from him. Where she had hoped to groom a puppet she could use to increase her power, she had created a schemer who was a match for herself. And as is the way with such things, before she came to the conclusion that he was of little use to her and decided to get rid of him, he came to the same conclusion and struck against her.

He slit her throat as she slept, and with her death earned his freedom. Since then he has travelled around the Galaxy, learning what he can about the Jedi and their fallen brethren, only to be left disappointed. The Exiles are not the great power that Lyra aspired to, and the Jedi are not the great threat that Lyra feared. Realizing that his master was as much of a fraud as everyone else, he is seeking to find something real, something he can believe in.

PERSONALITY
foc44Zn.jpg
Rallick is a man who can identify what he wants and will do almost anything to get what he wants. But his rash tendencies are tempered by a keen intelligence that prevents him from being too foolhardy. Exceedingly smart, and equally patient, he is willing to take a step back in order to reach his target. He can be subtle when bluntness would offer no results, tactful when the need arises, but if brute force will stands a chance of being the quickest solution then that is the one he will pick. He is flexible enough to adapt to his situations, but his preference is always to take the direct path if possible. The way he sees it, for the right ends the ends do justify the means. But unlike his master and other Exiles he has encountered, he possesses a sense of empathy that is almost Jedi like. There are still lines he won't cross, and the hatred he possess for his master won't allow him to become as brutal and callous as her.

SKILLS + POSSESSIONS
foc44Zn.jpg
ybUaEFd.jpg
Trained since he was a child to be a warrior, Ral is very well versed with the more combative usage of the Force. Lyra pushed him towards the flashy, using the Force in a destructive, exuberant manner. Since killing her, and having to fend for himself in a Galaxy out for Jedi blood, he has grown to appreciate a more subtle usage of the Force. Where the loud manner in which he previously used the Force had made him deaf to the Force's whispers, he now lets it guide him and rarely makes use of any extravagant and flashy displays of the Force. That's not to say he isn't capable of it, being very skilled in the use of Telekinesis and enhancing his physical attributes with the Force.

As a duelist, Ral tried his hand at various forms before settling on a style that bears the greatest resembles to Soresu. An energy efficient defense that focuses on economy of motion, Ral bides his time by wasting as little energy as possible while maintaining a strong defense. But when the opportunity presents itself or he has studied his opponent enough to be able to adapt to their style, he switches into a more aggressive and expansive style inspired by Juyo, relying on quick, unpredictable movements and powerful parries and jabs. The aim is to conserve his energy as much as possible and blitz his enemy in a few deadly attacks. He has also practiced the art of welding two blades, be it two lightsabers or two vribroblades or a combination of the two.

Finn Dondarrion

Title: Detective Species: Human Age: 22 Height: 1.85 m Weight: 82.3 kg

FINN, once a Knight within the Jedi Order, is a detective working for the Corellian Security Force. Born and raised within the Jedi Order, he was knighted at age fourteen like many other young Jedi his age. The consequences of this rushed promotion slowly eroded his faith in the Jedi Order, culminating in him leaving the Order and heading off to serve the Force in his own way.

Biography

  • Finn's family had been a part of the Jedi Order for generations. Occupying various roles in the Order's support staff, they were as deeply tied to the Order as some of the families that had been Jedi for generations. Ever so often one of their number would show some ability with the Force and actually join the Order, these were moments and great honor and joy for the family. So when Finn showed signs of Force sensitivity and was accepted into the Order his parents were beyond elated. Finn's career among the Jedi was nothing extraordinary, at least not till his fourteenth birthday. As a padawan he was smart, sincere, if a little brash and foolhardy. Like others his age, he wanted nothing more than be a Jedi hero that his parents had always told him about.

Finn was fourteen when, along with a number of his peers, he was promoted to Knight. Even then Finn knew that this was less indicative of his skills and more a sign of the desperation of the Order due to the ongoing conflict with the Exiles. As time passed and Finn had run ins with Exiles, saw some of his friends die, while others fell to the Dark side and joined the ranks of the Exiles, he started having doubts about his role within the Jedi Order. He brought these doubts to the Masters, which only served to make them doubt his loyalty, made them worry that he might follow in the footsteps of his fallen friends and join the Exiles. But that was never an option for Finn, he might have doubted the Jedi, but he never lost faith in the Force and which side he stood on. But the response he got from the Masters only served to strengthen his growing belief that the Order was not the right place for him. He was sixteen when the incident occurred that finally broke the camel's back.

Upon leaving the Jedi Order Finn also turned his back on the distinctive weapon of the Jedi, the lightsaber. Upon joining the CorSec Academy he received training in blasters and other conventional weapons, and ultimately trained himself to be an exceptionally skilled marksman.
Blasters: While more than capable with heavier weaponry, it is with a blaster in his hands that Finn is most dangerous. Using the Force to complement his natural talents with the blaster, he is able to improve his speed and reduce his reaction time, resulting in quickness and accuracy with a blaster that few can match. His fellow officers even joke that he could deflect blaster bolts with shots of his own or shoot down the barrel of a target's blaster if he so wanted. Whether these claims are true is unknown, but there is no denying that Finn is an exceedingly skilled shot with a blaster in his hands./justify]

Rifles: While not as fast, or as accurate, as with a blaster, Finn is still a very capable marksman with a rifle and other heavier weapons. As someone who shots to disable rather than kill, he finds heavier weapons too violent for his taste and unless absolutely necessary doesn't use them./justify]

Miscellaneous

  • OOC Level: 1
As a Jedi Finn is not really welcome on Exile worlds, but as young as he is none beyond his friends and family know he is a Jedi. Pulling out his lightsaber does tend to draw attention, but as he prefers to keep a low profile he tries to settle arguments with words and at worst with a blaster before relying on his blade.

  • The Scrubbiest
Despite being a Jedi, Finn is something of a klutz. Things just seem to go wrong around him, or the Force draws him where things are going wrong. Whatever the reason, he has a penchant for getting himself into trouble, often in embarrassing ways. He has broken limbs by accidentally falling into pits, lost more ligthsabers than he can keep count, and more than once required springing out of a jail after getting caught up in scuffles he should have stayed out of. If not for the fact that ever so often he ends up doing some good, and his Master's protection, the Council would have grounded him long ago.

Turr Phennir

IfcbWV8.jpg

The Jedi don't condone gambling, for a number of reasons. First and most obvious being the fact that the Force gives them a rather unfair advantage. The second being their own rather prudish view of gambling and considering it beneath their noble order. And then of course being the risk factor, something that doesn't really bode well with the pragmatic nature of the Jedi Order. So you would have to believe the Force understood irony when it made the Jedi cross paths with a young orphan by the name of Turr Phennir.

At first glance the boy was unremarkable. But if you looked deeper, as the Jedi did, you would find he was much more than he let on. He was smart, smarter than he had any right to be, and he was remarkably strong in the Force. But, he was far from perfect. There was a darkness in his past, a darkness that some thought would never leave him. But how could they let someone like him slip through their fingers? No, no matter the risks, he had to be trained as a Jedi.

Fifteen years later, when he killed a half dozen Jedi, turned his back on the ways of the Jedi, and left, the Jedi realized the truth. They had gambled, and they had lost. The Force had told them he might fall. But it had been beneath them to consider that he might fail. And with the wisest Masters in the Order training him where was the risk? They gambled, and they lost.

Six years ago, as a newly knighted Jedi, Valin was an insignificant blip on the Sith Brotherhood's radar, just another Jedi fresh out of the academy. He might have had the talent, the famous name, the princely title, but there were far bigger threats for the Sith to be worried about. Fast forward to a week ago and Val amounted to much more than a blip. Leading a small team, a team that had made its name by specializing in killing Sith, he had gained notoriety that worried the Sith and Jedi alike. The Jedi worried he might be falling, the Sith welcomed his fall, but worried that he wasn't falling fast enough. The longer he skirted the edge, the more Sith he would go around killing. And today, today he was in a different situation all together. Left with a severed hand, a dead best friend, a crippled lover who hated his guts and a ruined, dysfunctional droid as his only remaining companion; this was most definitely not the way the young Jedi would have imagined his life panning out when he passed the trails.

Valin's time in the academy wasn't particularly remarkable, no one could have suspected then that he would become what he was today. He had always been confident in himself, and his abilities, maybe a little too confident for his own good. But then many a young Jedi had the same weakness, hubris. Hailing from royalty might have given him a head start in the arrogance department, but it wasn't anything his masters found too worrying. Little is known of what drove an idealistic, albeit slightly arrogant, Jedi to fall as far as he did. Word is that he was captured by a Sith who thought it would be fun to try and break the young princeling, and the torture left him oh so slightly unhinged. If rumors are to be believed that was the first Sith he killed, and just took too much of a liking to it. He gathered others of a similar disposition, individuals who had reason to hate the Sith and were willing to put their life on the line fighting them. He built a team, though death squad would be a better word to describe them. He wasn't the strongest among them, or the smartest, but he was the most zealous of the lot, and had a way with words and an unmistakable gift with mental aspects of the Force that made it far too easy for him to find companions.

This group of six, Jedi, Antarian Ranger, Mercenary, a former butcher and two droids, came to be known as the Bridgeburners. The story goes that they burnt down a millennia old bridge to trap and kill a Sith they had been hunting, in the process destroying a treasure of the art world and possibly crippling a planet's economy. The young Jedi and his crusaders, in their bid to rid the Galaxy of the dread of the Sith, had in one fell act earned a reputation that made some address them with the same abhorrence that they themselves treated the Sith. They weren't champions of the people, far from it. They had moulded themselves into an efficient killing machine, willing to take steps that the Jedi or the Border Alliance were unwilling to take. If innocents were to get caught in the crossfire then that was a risk they were willing to take. To Val, the ends after all did justify the means.

The young Thorne was no swashbuckling hero out of a fairy tail, not any more. But he wasn't really a villain either. He walked a path in between those two extremes. A sometimes brooding, sometimes idiotically humorous anti-hero out of some poorly written story. A half-broken, battered remnant of the man that he was six years ago. Upon his return to the Jedi, he was given menial tasks while the leaders of the Army figured out what to do with the errant Knight. It was one of these tasks that ultimately changed his life forever. Assigned as Shae Vis' watcher, he formed a friendship with the former fallen-Jedi and through that friendship found his own path to redemption. It was because of this friendship that he followed Shae and her husband Corvo into the very heart of the Sith Brotherhood to capture the then Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Solum.

It was during this mission that he and a Sith by the name of Malak Arpha were caught up in a powerful Force blast aimed at Corvo. Valin woke up a few days later in Malak's body, everyone believing that Valin Thorne had died days earlier. Realizing the unique opportunity that had been presented to him, he continued living among the Sith as one of their own, working towards making contact with his friends and finding some way back to his old life. He ultimately made contact with Corvo and with his help was able to set off a bomb during a meeting of the Moff Council which resulted in the death of eight Moffs and Dark Council members. He is now making his way back to the Jedi, where once more he knows not what kind of welcome awaits him.

Valin is driven, more than anything else. A man who can identify what he wants and do almost anything to get what he wants. Maybe that is his problem, he just doesn't know when to stop. But this does not mean that he is rash, or foolhardy.

In his crusade against the Sith, his personality has changed from what it was during his time in the academy. This is most evident in his sense of humor, which is much darker than it used to be. He also seems to have developed a certain amount of apathy towards the sufferings of others, losing some of the empathy that should be so vital to a Jedi. While upon his return to the Jedi some of his darker tendencies were suppressed, his time among the Sith has undone whatever he had gained from that time. The destruction of Tython and his own near death has convinced him that the Sith need to be stopped at all costs. He is more sure than ever that in this case the ends do justify the needs.

As a fully trained Jedi, trained since birth to be a warrior and receiving Jedi training since the age of six, Kal is very well versed with the usage of the Force. As a teenager he had an inclination towards the flashy, using the Force in a destructive, exuberant manner. Ironically enough, the time of his slow descent towards the Dark Side taught him to appreciate a more subtle usage of the Force. Where the loud manner in which he previously used the Force had made him deaf to the Force's whispers, he now let it guide him and rarely made use of any extravagant and flashy displays of the Force. That's not to say he isn't capable of it, being very skilled in the use of Telekinesis and enhancing his physical attributes with the Force. But his greatest talent in the Force lies in its mental aspects. He is very, very skilled as using the Force to influence those around him, capable of getting into another's mind and planting ideas or readings their thoughts without leaving any trace of his presence.

Because he now lives in the body that once belonged to Malak, he now lives with the same limitations and gifts that Malak did. As a result of the experiments that created Malak, Valin possesses near inhuman strength and speed, as well as a tremendous intellect. But a side effect of the same experiments is that his body is unable to keep up with his abilities and is deteriorating at a rapid rate. In an odd genetic mutation that granted him his heightened physical abilities, his body is only able to sustain them by burning energy at an accelerated him. As long as he does not exert himself above and beyond what would be considered normal, the effects are minimal, but as soon as he pushes himself to use an inhuman display of speed or strength, he quickly starts running out of steam. If he went all out in a battle, he would be dead on the floor within an hour. As such a sustained fight is to his disadvantage. Malak was aptly considered a "limp-berserker" by his instructors, for while his unique gifts made him a near unstoppable force, as soon as he ran out of steam he was near defenseless. Palin has to deal with these same limitations, and is slowly coming to terms with them. He is learning to compensate for these shortcomings by conserving his energy in a fight, moving around slowly and carefully before launching an attack in a short and deadly burst. Like a predator, he slowly and meticulously stalks his prey, before lunching a quick, deadly attack. At the same time he uses whatever technology he can to enhance his chances in a fight, from repulsorboots to enhance his maneuverability to blasters and grenades to improve his offensive ability.

As a duelist, Valin is working to develop a style that complements his physical advantages and compensates for his limitations. Adopting components of various styles, he has come up with a style that bears the greatest resembles to Soresu. An energy efficient defense that focuses on economy of motion, Valin bides his time by wasting as little energy as possible while maintaining a strong defense. But when the opportunity presents itself or he has studied his opponent enough to be able to adapt to their style, he switches into a more aggressive and expansive style inspired by Juyo, relying on quick, unpredictable movements and powerful parries and jabs. The aim is to make conserve his energy as much as possible and blitz his enemy in a few deadly attacks. The myriad combat styles he had picked up in his past life make him a very unpredictable and adaptable fighter, capable of using brute force just as easily as finesse.

Vin

Never throw the first punch. If you have to throw the second, try to make sure they don't get up for a third.
— Forgotten Gladiator Trainer

Vin, a Force-sensitive Human from Corellia, orphaned at a young age and absorbed into one of the many criminal rings that dominated Corellia's lower class. Buying her freedom through charm and sheer audacity, she made her way off planet and became a Arkanian Ofshoot male, is a Jedi Knight who has been fighting for the Jedi Order since the waning years of the Hundred-Years Darkness. A hulking brute of a man, he is a maverick whose actions have brought the Jedi defeat on as many occasions as they have brought them victory.

Loud, lacking any sense of tact, and blunt to a fault, he can be intimidating on sight, but with the right drink, and sufficient food, it is very easy to earn his friendship, and once given it is not easily broken. While not the smartest of beings, actually being the farthest thing from smart one could find within the Jedi Order, Caliban nonetheless possesses an idiot's insight that often allows him to see the world in clearer light than others cursed with brains.

Biography
___________________________________________________________________________

Early life

Even as a child Caliban was larger, stronger, and faster than others his age. Born and raised in an orphanage, the young Caliban caught the eye of a "trainer" whose job was to scout and train fighters for gladiator fights to entertain the wealthy elite of Arkania. Having caught the eye of such a man, a few well placed bribes was all it took for Caliban to be sold off to be trained as a gladiator.

Due to his abnormally large size, Caliban was seen as a diamond in the rough and a prime candidate to become a successful fighter.

Ultimately, not long after his fifteenth birthday, the nobleman who ran the gladiator ring that owned Caliban ran out of luck and had all his illegal ventures stopped by Republic intervention. And in his first, and what he claims to be his only, stroke of luck, Caliban's affinity to the Force was noticed by a Jedi Knight who brought him to Ossus for training.

Jedi Training

Life as a Jedi was not difficult for Caliban, mostly because of how simpleminded he was. While his trainers in the gladiator ring had trained him to be a highly potent warrior, they had been unable to beat his kind-hearted nature out of him and now that helped him grow into his new life as a Jedi. Seeings things in simple shades of good and bad, he blindly accepted the Jedi to be the physical embodiment of goodness in the Galaxy and was more than happy to dedicate himself to learn their ways.

But while his physical prowess allowed him to quickly catch up with, and even surpass, other Jedi his age, in other departments he was always lagging behind. His heart might be in the right place, but many thought that his mind might simply not be up to the task. Till that point he had been practically illiterate, but though he slowly began learning how to read on a very rudimentary level, he was simply unable to keep up in most of his classes.

Title: Knight Species: Human Age: 22 Height: 1.90 m Weight: 82.3 kg

Abilities

  • q4tNuGw.jpg

Beau Antilles
7bhJvZI.jpg

TITLE: Knight SPECIES: Human ALIGNMENT: Consular HEIGHT: 1.71 m WEIGHT: 68 kgs

A Jedi's hands are a healer hands
Beau Antilles, known by most as simply Beau, was a male Morellian who served as a Knight in Rey Skywalker's reformed Jedi Order. A skilled healer, Antilles lived a nomadic life, traveling the Galaxy under the guise of a peddler, often ignoring the ongoing conflict in his pursuit of helping the common people. He spent most of his time away form the Order at large, leading relief efforts on planets ravaged by war and learning what he could from the various species and cultures he met.
Biography
Beau was five years old when his Force sensitivity was discovered and he joined the ranks of the Jedi Order. Over the course of the years that followed, his sharp mind and sharper tongue drew the attention of more than one instructor, and by the time he entered his teen years he had already been knighted. But it was as a knight that he distinguished himself, as he spent most of his time in the Outer Rim, working as a healer during numerous local conflicts and saving the lives of numerous Jedi, soldiers, and civilians with his healing abilities and steadily improving medical knowledge.

But though he was present during many conflicts, and grew accustomed to death and suffering, he never took a life himself. Lifting his blade only to defend the innocent, he preferred to spend his time healing those he could and fought tooth and nail to save every possible life. But he soon realized that he could do little by just following in the coattails of the conflict and decided it was time to take a more direct role in helping the people of the Galaxy. Traveling across the Galaxy, he tried setting up relief efforts and rebuilding projects, but the growing mistrust of Jedi made it hard for him to earn the trust of those he wanted to help. So he started working under various aliases instead. Finally finding something he truly believed in, he threw himself fully into this endeavor.
Personality
Beau is the friend you can always trust to come through when you call them in the middle of the night to get you out of a pickle. A calming presence, he maintains a level head through most situations. But at the same time he has the heart of an adventurer. He loves traveling, meeting new people, and discovering new things. A very sharp and perceptive person, he is very good at reading people. A big reason behind this is the years spent traveling and interacting with people all over the Galaxy. He is kind hearted and genuinely cares for the people he tries to help, and is indiscriminate in the the people he helps. This extends to his beliefs regarding the Sith, as he thinks they, like everyone else, are deserving of a second chance.
Skills + Possessions
Like most Consulars, Beau has a preference for nonviolent uses of the Force, foremost of which is Force healing. A highly skilled practitioner of the Force, having delved deep to unravel the secrets of the Force, Beau is a very skilled and experienced healer. The experience he has gained from serving patients on the battlefield has prepared him to deal with almost any injury or disease that comes his way. But though he doesn't like wielding the Force like a weapon, he is skilled and strong enough to do so. He is capable of using telekinesis in a precise manner just as easily as unleashing it as larger attacks full of brute force. His sensory abilities within the Force are also worthy of note, often using the Force as a sixth sense to guide his hand while performing a tricky surgery.

To maintain his disguise of a traveller peddler, he has picked up a lot of skills that you wouldn't expect a Jedi to know.

Though he prefers not to use his blade, Beau is a decent duelist, having received training with a blade like most Jedi his age. He is also very fast and nimble on his feet, and has kept himself in a good physical shape.

Forgoing the traditional Jedi robes to maintain his disguise, he opts for a rather eccentric collection of clothing. Trousers, shirt, vest, and coat in bright colors, almost nothing about his appearance screams Jedi. He always has a backpack full of food, medical supplies, cooking utensils, and various trinkets and oddities with him. While he does posses a lightsaber, he mostly keeps it tucked away in the backpack as well, a walking stick fashioned out of the wood of a brylark tree being his preferred "weapon", fondly dubbed the Beau-staff. He doesn't have any other possessions, no weapons, no armor, not even a set of traditional Jedi robes.

She could feel the droid glaring at her, even with her face firmly turned the other way and staring out the viewport into the hypnotizing vista of hyperspace. He found his face very unsettling when he glared, not that his face looked any different when he wasn't, and all he seemed to do around her was glare. What else did she expect from a so called loyal servant of the family, he hated Jedi almost as much as the people he had served for years, and now he was hers.

I told you to stop that, no more glaring.

The droid titled his head to look at her with clearly evident contempt on its face. Again, she had no idea how he did that with a face that was basically a solid piece of metal. As Mistress must know, I am incapable of glaring. Are your eyes not operating at optimal efficiency? I can list a number of procedures that can fix that. A lobotomy perhaps?

Vin just huffed and turned away once again, just as the consoles in front of them lit up again, indicating the ship's imminent exit from hyperspace and arrival at the Champala system. Vin's eyes lit up as the planet appeared before them, her irritation with KR3CH forgotten. She had spent her entire life on Onderon, and most of that in a small hut in the middle of nowhere. And now within the course of two days she had visited two planets. That thought sobered her up, because the only reason she was here was because she had failed on Jedha. The Order had turned her away, making her make the trip to Champala in search of her Master's teacher.

From the little she had managed to learn about the planet, Champala was as full of seas as Onderon was with forests. It was a beautiful world, a pristine blue marble floating in front of them. But as they approached the planet and began their descent Vin realized that it wasn't as pristine as it seemed. Landing on the outskirts of a city in ruins, Vin was shocked to see the level of destruction. She had heard about the war, but only now did she understand what it really meant. This is the war?

The droid turned to her to speak, but she was in no mood and held up a hand to forestall him. He might hate her, but he was compelled to obey her. Taking in a deep breath, she set off towards the ruined city, in search of a man she had never met. All she had was a name, there hadn't been time for more. But she was a Jedi, a name should be enough for her.

ANDORIOUS GHENT

TITLE: Bounty Hunter SPECIES: Twi'lek AGE: 21 HEIGHT: 1.72 m WEIGHT: 55 kg

DEJAH SECURA is a young Knight in the Jedi Order.

ABILITIES

  • 6VngZ4M.jpg

    The Caped Crusader
Born on Phatrong, Toc was named after his descaled father, who had been a decorated officer of the law on the planet. He grew up with his father's legacy overshadowing his every achievement, his mother judging him against her dead husband's memory and Toc always came up short. Though he excelled in his studies, and ended up joining the constabulary at a very young age, it was never quite enough to satisfy his mother.

At the constabulary, Toc had a slightly better time,
He was fourteen when his father made a bid to step up in life and used all their life savings to buy a seat at a high stakes sabaac game. But what he didn't know was that the Hutts controlled the game, and were not particularly interested in letting a nobody like Wax participate. They arranged for Wax to have an accident that left him with grave injuries and in need of medical aid that neither Wax nor Pash could afford.

Left with no other option, Pash showed up at the sabaac game in the hopes of participating with the seat his father had purchased. The Hutts, expecting him to lose and gaining another life indebted to them, let him participate. But much to everyone's surprise Pash won, and in spectacular fashion at that. But the Hutts would not let him leave so easily, and stole his winnings from him before he had gone even a block from the site of the match and left him unconscious in some back alley.

By the time Pash regained consciousness, all his winnings were gone. Wax, on his deathbed without the treatment the could have saved him, made Pash promise to leave Nal Hutta and make a better life for himself. Pash stayed true to that promise and left Nal Hutta soon after his father's death, ultimately ending up on the Core Worlds planet of Plexis.

He joined one of the smaller spice gangs on Plexis, and with his natural charisma and experience growing up on Nal Hutta, Pash quickly gained the ear of the leader of the gang. The leader, a former con-artist from Coruscant named Wayne Andrillian, had also lost everything to the Hutts and shared in Pash's hatred of their entire organization. Pash was able to use this to earn his trust, and Wayne quickly took him on as his protege and taught him everything he knew.

Over the next couple of years Wayne was able to absorb or destroy most of the spice gangs on the planet to greatly increase his influence, and Pash was by his side through the ascent. But having seen the influence the Hutts had on Nal Hutta and Nar Shaadda, the two were not satisfied with controlling just the spice trade on the planet. Working together, with Pash's luck on the gambling tables and experience as a con-artist on Nal Hutta, and Wayne's newfound power, guile and experience, Wayne slowly and steadily became the leader of the criminal underworld on the planet. The fact that there hadn't been much of an underworld on the planet to begin with helped Wayne to become the undisputed crime lord of Plexis.

But Wayne's ambitions went further, and he also began establishing legitimate businesses to be the face of his various enterprises. While Wayne was the face and brains of these enterprise, Pash was the engine that worked behind the scenes to keep it running. In the decade since his arrival on Plexis, he had grown from a young boy grieving his father's death to right hand of one of the most powerful men on the planet. When the previous Senator from Plexis died, it was fairly easy for Wayne to get Pash elected as his replacement, hoping to further increase his wealth with the safety and influence of the Senate on his side.

Flambouyant, over-the-top, charming, and possessing a devil-may-care attitude, Pash is a born risk-taker who has gambled his way to success. But that does not mean he is careless with his work or his life. He is very detail-oriented, highly observant of everything going on around him and taking a very hands-on approach to every job he participates in. This has allowed him to pick up a lot of disjointed knowledge and skills over the years. He is also an improviser, knowing that everything can't always go to plan he is quick to adapt and think on his feet, and his varied skill set allows him to improvise better than most.

But what people remember most about him are the quirks. He has an almost unhealthy love for crisps, and is never seen without a bag in his hands or on his person. Though at times he might replace the crisps with something deep fried or something loaded with booze. He is also a natural charmer and a womanizer, and it is not uncommon for him to get distracted by the presence of a beautiful woman. Some even see this as a weakness and have used it against him in the past. His charm also allows him to manipulate people, and he can sweet talk his way out of most situations. He is also cursed by a chronic inability to get anywhere on time.

As a Kyuzo, Toc possesses a strength that doesn't match his lanky frame. Add in the superior reflexes and extensive combat training of his people, and Toc was a deceptively dangerous opponent, despite his appearance. He is a very skilled close quarters combatant, using his speed and strength in conjunction with his small frame to negate the larger reach of larger opponents and overpower them with fists and kicks. Alongside hand to hand combat, he had also received training with melee weapons and firearms during his time as a Constable on Phatrong, and is just as deadly with a weapon in his hand as he is unarmed.

Alongside his martial skills, Toc is also a very smart and perceptive individual. As a constable, he had been a more than competent investigator, and those skills have served him well in the Cartel. After leaving Phatrong, he has picked up on more languages beyond his native Kyuzo, being fluent in both Huttese and Galactic Standard Basic.

  • Weapons and Armor
Pash carries a CSA-2A blaster pistol as his primary firearm, though he also carries a Stinger stun blaster tucked away in his boots as a failsafe. A collapsible vibro-sword is his primary melee weapon. He is also in possession of a PB-Series protocol droid that has been loaded with piloting protocols and various legal protocols and serves as his personal chauffeur and aide.

    x[NPC] Wayne Andrillian

I was the lightning, before the thunder

Hera Halcyon is a female Deucalian warrior from Mirial who serves under the banner of the newly formed Sith Empire. The lowborn daughter of a minor noble and the servant he impregnated, Hera never knew her father and was never loved by her mother. Blaming the child for losing all the comforts she had enjoyed as a noble's mistress, she abandoned Hera when she was little over four years old. Hera's travels ultimately brought her to a small group of Exiles who were chasing a gang of slavers on the planet of Mirial. Finding their cause as a honorable one, she begged to join them and was accepted as a pupil, thereby beginning her training as an Exile. For years she travelled across Mirial with them, ridding the planet of slavers and forming an idealized image of the Exiles in her mind. When Andraste forged the Sith Empire, Hera travelled to Korriban and swore her loyalty to the new Empress, though she also faced a shock as she came face to face with some members of the Empire who weren't quite the heroes she expected them to be.

Born in some Mirial settlement whose name she doesn't even know, Hera was raised by her mother for the first four years of her life. Her mother hated Hera with every fiber of her being, and the only motherly instinct she ever showed was keeping Hela alive till she was old enough to fend for herself. Once she was abandoned by her mother, she took to scavenging for food and every day she survived was an achievement in itself. She ultimately found work as a helping hand in a traveling Deucalian troupe, and spent most of her formative years traveling all over the Outer Rim with the troupe.

That was the first time she felt truly accepted, and made lifelong friendships with the members of the troupe. The members of the troupe treated her as their own child, and taught her a great deal. In the years that followed she learned a great deal from them. Reading, writing, performing, flying, even fighting. And when the Force woke within her they accepted that as well. Luckily for her there was a Force user among the Deucalians, and she learnt from him the little that he was able to teach. She slowly learned to control her powers and began using them to help with the special effects for the troupe's performances.

But while she was happy living with the troupe, she wasn't satisfied. She wanted more, though she did not know what. That question was ultimately answered when the troupe made its way back to Mirial. While camping outside a small spaceport, word reached them that an Exile company had been spotted outside a nearby town. Feeling a pull towards them that she could not explain, she flew through the night to reach the town, just in time to witness the Exiles attack a slaver gang and completely annihilate them. As she saw them free all the slaves, she finally realized what she had been looking for.

The next day she approached the leader of the Exiles, and offered her arms to them. Sensing the Force within her they accepted, and so began her training to be an Exile. It just so happened to be that she had found one of the more moderate Exiles, who had left the Jedi purely over ideological differences and no affinity for the Dark Side. In them she found someone she could follow, and travelled with them for a few years as they travelled throughout Mirial, wiping out the remnants of the slaver gangs that had spread like an infestation all over the planet. In the naivety of youth, and with little contact with the outside Galaxy, she thought of them to be representative of the Exiles as a whole. So when the call came from the new Overlord Andraste for Exiles to come and swear allegiance to the new Sith Empire, Hera rushed to Korriban to do so, only then realizing that there was another side to the Exiles she had never known.

Hera lives her life by a few simple ideals. Do the best you can, do what is right, and protect those you care for. She doesn't care for fame, fortune, or even her own reputation. She is content with living her life to the fullest and protect that look to her for protection. As a result of her Deucalian upbringing, she attempts to live an honorable life, and respects those she think are honorable. But she is not rigid in her beliefs, she knows honor is different for everyone, and tries to keep an open eye and not to judge people without knowing the truth behind their actions. She has learnt over time that even the wrong actions, taken for the right reason, can be honorable. And even if she doesn't agree with such actions, she can respect them.

She also has abandonment issues, her parents having left her at different stages of her life. As such she will fight tooth and nail to protect the people she cares for and will not abandon anyone, no matter the cost. She cherishes her friends, and scared that they might abandon her like her parents, makes sure that she doesn't lose them if she can help it. She will protect them and put her own neck on the line to save someone she trusts.

Hera is a very capable warrior, having learnt to make use of the Force in conjunction with her skills with the blade and hammer to create a fighting style that is all her own. Due to her relative inexperience with fighting with the Force, she makes use of fairly simple applications of the Force such as pulling enemies towards her, slamming them into walls, or even using telekinesis to slam heavy objects into them. She is also decently smart, and due to her time with the troupe has picked up tidbits of odd skills such as acting, singing and acrobatics.

Kyp's Flight Suit

Once a standard issue Republic pilot's flight suit, over the years Kyp has modified his his suit to better serve his needs. Spending more and more time on the ground instead of in the air, Kyp has modified this particular suit to provide him with some measure of protection while also retaining the aesthetic feel and overall maneuverability of the original flight suit.

Legality

A personal, and legal, modification on existing legal gear. Legal throughout the galaxy.

Type & Coverage

type — Medium Armor

coverage
  • Head: Front and back of the head and neck.
  • Torso: Chest, abdomen, and shoulders.
  • Right Arm: Front and back of upper right arm, and elbows.
  • Left Arm: Front and back of upper left arm, and elbows
  • Hands: Dueling Gloves
  • Legs: Groin, front and back thighs, and shins

Functions

Function 1 : Thermal Undersuit
  • Thermal undersuits wick away or reflect thermal energy for brief periods of time. They are not nearly as effective as a suit that firefighters would wear. Most commonly used to protect soldiers from flamethrower weapons or short bursts of extreme heat, and are only good for 1-2 posts of exposure depending on intensity. They are useless against blasters.
Function 2 : Scout HUD
  • Scout HUD - Contains a 4x magnifier and Compass.
Function 3 : Computer Spike
  • Computer spikes are used to forcibly decrypt or unlock computer terminals. Most civilian systems can be cracked in one posting round, while most military or hardened systems take two or more.
Function 4 : Grapple Line
  • Grapple lines are capable of supporting the weight of 1-2 people and can launch up to ranges typically up to 15 meters away. Once no longer in use, they are detached from the launcher and left behind. While hand-held grapple guns are capable of auto-winching, armor or wrist mounted devices lack this ability. Grapple lines must be manually activated and controlled by a button or switch.

    Hands of Justice
Born on Corellia, Toc was a nameless, homeless, orphan who got recruited into one of the numerous gangs that operating on the ship building planet. Working first as a beggar and then a pickpocket, he became friends with a Trandoshan by the name of Toc, and such was his dedication to the older thief that people started calling him Toc the Younger. A name that he hasn't discarded out of loyalty to the man who taught him how to survive on the street.

Learning everything from Toc the Elder, the two of them ultimately made their way off Corellia. While Toc the Elder returned to his home to be with his family, Toc the Younger was eager to explore the Galaxy.

----NAME Qi'ra FACTION Jedi Order RANK Knight
Biography
Orphaned as a baby, her parents killed in an Exile attack on Mirial, Qi'ra was taken in by the Jedi Order and raised by various members of the Order. As such the life of a Jedi is the only life she has known. Growing up her life was mostly unremarkable, or as unremarkable as the life of a Jedi can be. But nothing really stood out as she was growing up, moving from one temple to another, one Master to another, learning as she went.

Like a surprisingly mundane coming of age story, she went through a rebellious phase when she was a teenager, coincidentally at the same time as she was undergoing training on Corellia, whose Jedi were known to be an impulsive bunch. But in the long run it was nothing but a little blip in her education as she was ultimately knighted when she was nearing the tail end of her teenage years.

Following her knighthood Qi'ra spent a few aimless years trying to figure out her role in the Order. Most young knights seemed to find a home among one or the other sects within the Order, but in Qi'ra's case none called out to her. Ultimately she fell in with the pilots, civilian and Jedi alike, who worked closely with the order. This ultimately led to her getting roped in on an assignment where she had to play the role of a smuggler and one thing led to another and since then she has found herself mostly operating undercover in civilian space, serving a role most in alignment with the Jedi Sentinels.

Personality
Like many a young Jedi, Qi'ra lacks the patience and wisdom that comes only with age and experience. She is a free spirit, and is most happy when she is given a task to perform and the freedom to do it as and how she sees fit. She doesn't really see herself as a traditional Jedi, so much so that she doesn't even carry a lightsaber. Her happy go lucky attitude, flamboyant nature (evident by her colored hair), and party-girl attitude make her stand out from her Jedi brother and sisters.

Skills & Stats

SPECIES: Mirialan
GENDER: Female
AGE: Early 20s
HEIGHT: 163 cm

Skills
Jade was trained since childhood to become a soldier, accumulating a highly varied skill set, often learning new tricks on a job to job basis. Like all spies she was trained to use weapons such as hold-out blasters and vibroblades, along with more exotic ones such as hand claws, shock whips, and zenji needles. Jade is also a skilled pilot, capable of flying ships ranging in size from those as small as starfighters to bulky freighters. She has also learnt enough about starship repair and maintenance to be able to fix a ship if the need so arises and if not that then she can at the very least identify where the problem lies. She also skilled with first aid and can patch herself up decently enough if injured in the field.

force sensitivity — A fact that she was unaware of for a very long time was that she possessed a very deep connection to the Force. Since joining the Sith and working up to the rank of Knight, Jade has come a long way in mastering her control over the Force. Instead of attempting to learn a vast range of applications of the Force, Jade has picked up on some key abilities that best suit her and has systematically gone about mastering them to the best of her ability. One ability that she has made more or less her own is the precognitive ability to sense the flow of the Force to sense something of the course of conflicts and sense threats to her self. As she tends to keep her usage of the Force to a bare minimum, because of fears of loosing control of her psyche, she is much more open to subtle suggestions from the Force than the average Sith.

physical abilities — Jade is in peak physical condition, with her speed, balance, and dexterity being one of her greatest assets. She is very nimble on her feet, possesses very quick reflexes, and her martial arts training has made her exceedingly flexible, graceful in her movements and capable of pulling of feats of acrobatics that can only come with years of practice. She is a practitioner of the movement disciple known as parkour. One of the most important aspects of her training was close-quarters combat, trained in a number of different martial arts, including the Echani art.

espionage— Part of her training as an intelligence operative involved rigorous espionage training. She is a skilled slicer, capable of breaking into secure systems with relative ease and moving into and out of systems while leaving barely a trace. She is also skilled with disguises, a skill that proves to be of particular use to her on infiltration missions. Her skills are greatly enhanced with the addition of the Force to her already impressive arsenal, allowing her to do things and accomplish assignments that might be considered impossible for a normal operative.

swordsmanship— Jade's past training and her mastery of gymnastic abilities meant that she was ideally suited to learn the fourth form of lightsaber combat, Ataru, which makes extensive use of acrobatic maneuvers; spinning, jumping and weaving her way through her opponent's defenses. Moving with the grace of a dancer and at almost eye-blurring speed, she is never in one place long enough for her opponent to mount a proper counterattack while attempting to attack them from all sides. Unlike other Sith, who often pick up a second form, Jade has so far kept herself focused on Ataru alone.

assassination — As an intelligence operative Jade was trained in stealth and is able to move about unnoticed if she wants to. Since she began her training to be an Exile she learnt to put these stealth skills to develop her skills as an assassin. She is an expert at setting traps and making optimal use of her environment to her own advantage. She is known to use explosives, toxins, rifles and whatever else gets the job done. Having become more than competent in Force based camouflage techniques, she has now added another weapon into her arsenal, one that has greatly increased her effectiveness.
