Thankful for you all, SWRP. About five or six years ago I made a thread thanking specific folks on the forum. Whilst many of those peeps may have moved on, and new folks have since then replaced some of their proverbial forum "shoes" everything in said thread holds true today and I'm glad to know you all.
You young (my folks would say- "young whipper snappers") know nothing about RP struggles. :D I didn't start out RPing via Yahoo chats, but I bet some of you know not of MSN chat. Hehe. I tease. Many long nights of laugher, complainants about thread reports, talks of politics (mostly William grilling me about my political affiliation), and sometimes good gossips were shared via MSN. Ah RIP pieces MSN and hello Discord. Whilst I joined this forum with the intention of gaining respite from my RL struggles- never thinking I'd know the hands behind the keyboard- I've gained some awesome friends all across the globe. Who knew that the individuals behind the "screen" plotting character deaths or some other gnarly IC plots would end up being called friends? (Matt if you're reading this-I still will never forgive you for killing your Jedi- Christian). Or the user whom immediately attached themselves to me in the most unhealthy manner when I initially joined the forum would turn out to be the insane creep that I presumed they were? (Stranger danger you young ones- never ignore your intuition) Thankfully said user was banned and all remains perfectly calm. -.-
RL is keeping me more and more detached from this place, but the friendships that I have developed due to this place remains intact thanks to texting and social media (do you young whipper snappers still FB?? Or is TheGram the new shiny thing?) Any ways, I digress. Thankful for meeting some of you in person ( some multiple times. Yeah!!) Thankful for the opportunity to write and perhaps encounter more folks with a shared kindred spirit (now that's a term you young whipper snappers would probably call "quaint") -.-
Gosh- I didn't mean to go all sappy and sentimental. lol I miss Matt (original Matt UK that is) AND American Matt. There are many others too, but I shall spare you all a wall of text.
tl;dr- To my fellow Americans, enjoy your day of feasting and treats. Happy Thanksgiving!
Cheers~
PS:What are you thankful for?
