I made the edits....based a lot of it from what I saw in Aurra Sing vs Ahsoka Tano blaster deflection scene and the Jango vs Obi Wan rocket explosion scene....

There are still some serious issues that it appears we are not going to be able to resolve given the nature of the edits. To that effect, I will be reporting the post. I have outline my continued stance for the staff below.
  • Positioning: The sidestep is still a major issue. The Mandos did not begin their assault until after your character had walked several steps down the hallway. The actions took place after your character struck a defense pose. That is not a sidestep from the wall.
  • Rocket: Honestly, I don't have an issue with the bolts being deflected back from whence they came. Theran's would likely be inaccurate and it's not insane to think Ral's 3 bolts could be deflected. The issue is a bolt being deflected into a rocket. It has been previously discussed that a rocket like the one Theran is firing cannot be shot out of the sky with a blaster pistol. It is incredibly unlikely a blaster bolt could be redirected into rocket. Furthermore, the rocket is moving faster than the bolts, meaning it probably arrives first.
  • NPCs: I am going to assume the thermal detonators are for flavor alone as they would have no effect on the PCs.

I'm going to have all Mando participants in this thread be recorded and issue a bounty for their heads. Are there any objections to me stating an NPC uploaded security feeds or do y'all want me to write it out with my PC acquiring the data? I'm good either way, but considering this thread is slow I wanted to move ahead.

No issues here.

OFFICIAL RULING:
1. Sev manages to innacurately deflect all but one bolt, which scores a grazing hit on his left bicep.
2. He does not however manage to deflect a blaster bolt into the oncoming rocket, the distance between the first volley of blaster bolts and the wrist rocket being too close for such an accurate deflection so quickly.
3. The wrist rocket continues onwards to explode against the back of the corner junction wall, Sev caught at the edge of the blast radius, suffering light burns and shrapnel damage.

The reasons are as follows.
1. While it is possible to deflect several bolts in quick succession, one would need to utilize rapid and tight blade movements, making accurate blaster bolt deflection (which usually requires swings to properly direct the bolt at an aimed location) extremely difficult.
2. Piggybacking off the logic above, the directional movements required to accurately deflect bolts not possible in such a short span, further exacerbated by the speed and small size of the wrist rocket.
3. As all three Mandalorians began firing AS SOON AS THE SITH CAME INTO VIEW,

Using Viz's massive form as cover, Kast fired three rounds in rapid succession as soon as the Sith came into view.
He didn’t waste any time. As Aethon was firing from his A140, Theran quickly raised his wrist and fired off a rocket.
The hulking frame of Viz adjusted her aim with her repeater to target the Sith and the corner he had just rounded and squeezed down on the trigger.
Sev is quite capable of sidestepping behind the corner of the hallway junction, as he was interrupted from ever taking steps forward and monologuing. Furthermore, the wrist rocket fired, it's flight path stated as directly at the Sith's chest,

He aimed the rocket to hit the floor two meter behind the Sith. This would give the rocket the effect of heading right towards the Sith, but in truth would not erupt until it impacted the floor behind him. It would look like the rocket was going to take the Sith in the chest, and a sidestep would avoid it.

Would not be physically able to appear as if going to hit in the chest, only to suddenly dip to strike the floor. Following it's written flight path, it continues onwards to slam into the back wall of the hallway corner junction.

@Noctyr has 36 hours to edit the post accordingly and inform thread participants when the edits are completed. Upon the completion if his edits, the posting order resume, the next writers 48 hours beginning at the timestamp of the edits.

@Arclight, just for the future I would like a little clarification.

Where the rocket goes/explodes is determined by what we write as the flight path, not what we write as the aimed 'explosion location?'

I intended the rocket to explode 2 meters behind the Sith and aimed the rocket at that location. I assumed it would travel on a slightly slopping path from Theran's arm until it stuck the floor. I thought that would have the rocket appear like it was traveling towards his chest area. Not a sudden dip towards the ground.

I would simply like this clarified for the future so that I know how to appropriately describe the using the wrist rocket.

@Valen Pelora @Apollyon @Kori Buor @Arclight

Made the edits.

Just so you are aware- my military service IRL will be pulling me away from the site temporarily. I will be in the woods training with my Infantry unit Aug 5-20, with limited internet access and limited time.
