Alliance Space, above Endor

If a decade prior she would have known she would be leading the Galactic Alliance, a very young Arda Breaux would have said it would have never happened. If she would have known all the suffering she had gone through to reach this point once she had met Aurora Blackwood, she might have opted her chances for a labor camp. However, there was something clearly about her that the members of the Alliance believed she could do this, to lead them in the fight against the Empire. It was this faith that drove and powered the Alliance in their fight and if utilized wisely, Arda knew she could drive the Alliance further in their cause. Giving the Empire a headache was something she was fairly good at, so perhaps this was where she needed to be.

Regardless, Arda had called for a meeting with the Alliance Council aboard their Ilum-class frigate while it orbited Endor. She stood quietly in the war room, over looking the holoprojector in the center, different worlds spun slowly as they orbited one another, notes floated near by as the woman stood in thought before deciding to come back to it later. She waved her hand and all the images retreated, the projector switching off as the members of the council would be entering soon.

They were all faces she knew, and soldiers and jedi respected greatly for their dedication to the Alliance, however, with the transitioning to new leaders, she was uncertain of where they stood. Briefings were great, but never enough, this was one sure way to make sure everyone was on the same holo-page.

Life has a weird way of working, if anyone asked Tyler 15 years ago if he was going to be taking up arms against the Empire and become a rather high-ranking member of a Rebel movement, he would have laughed that off as not happening. It's not fate or destiny or anything, it's just how the unexpected happens.

Tyler wasn't sure how to one-hundred percent process his promotion to Rebel Commander and a member of the Rebel Council. He really isn't sure if he's high-caliber leadership material. But on the other-hand even Hugo Ion joins the ranks of disappeared rebellion leaders. So, he guesses someone has to step in the role and Tyler is willing to step up to the plate he's still here. He isn't the type to waste any time getting to work either as Rebels have been dispatched to take Borgo Prime into alliance arms.

The Alderaanian native would be the first to arrive into the war room, catching a glimpse of the central holoprojector shutting off. He would pause after taking position around the holoprojector, he would smile towards Arda. It's amazing, she's the Alliance Commander now with Hugo gone. Honestly Tyler isn't sure if anyone else has what it takes to guide the rebel movement in these times. "Congratulations Commander" he nodded his head. It seems like it was only a few days ago since he last seen her at Bespin when they were looking for that buisnessman on Bespin, which all worked out "It's good to see you." he nodded his head again.

With Tyler here, it's only a matter of time until the other members of the Rebel council show up show up and things can get started.

Now while Tycho had willingly taken up arms and committed crimes against the Empire, the last thing he expected was to climb through the ranks. If one had told him he would, he would have most likely laughed it off and told the person he or she is crazy. Who would let someone of his background get to a leadership position? Well apparently this group of rag tag fighters are crazy enough to do just that. It is a bit of an odd position to be in. Not to mention that he is also a part of the Rebel Council, he is not the type to speak his mind when asked. Well with time he will adjust, but it may not be as quickly as expected of him. It is a big jump after all.

Now while others may think he is leadership material, Tycho doesn't think he is. He has made decisions, decisions like on Hoth and Denon that he has since come to regret and fear making again. The last thing he wants to do is to reach a decision on an order to give that will get others killed. He got a taste on Denon on how simple orders can result in countless lives being taken. Can he live with giving such orders again? Tycho has no idea if he can. But if the others trust him with this position he will find a way. While he is not one hundred percent sure if he deserves this honor, the criminal is certainly not the type to turn tail and run away from it. That in part will be him abandoning his comrades. That is one thing he will not do even though he did once.

Walking down the corridor to the war room the man came to a brief stop. Staring at the door for a second or two he made his way through the doorway. Now while was surprised to see Tyler, he barely showed it. The last time he saw the younger man it was back on Hoth when he abandoned him to his fate. Something that the Criminal has never forgiven himself for since. He may never forgive himself for it. If Tyler hasn't well Tycho won't be able to blame him for it.

Looking to Arda, a Jedi Master that he had met a few times, he wondered how in the world she can even handle the weight that must be on her shoulders. It must be a unimaginable burden. How is it she isn't showing signs of it on her mind? Maybe it is a combination of having officers to share the burden and that she is just meant to be in the leadership position. Stepping over to Arda the criminal looked her in the eyes, "Congratulations Commander." The bloke then realized this is his chance to thank her for something she did on Kubindi, "And. Thank you for backing me and Gerruf on Kubindi." He will say with a hint of sincerity. Truly, if she had not have showed up who knows what would have happened to him and his partner.

Luy’s ship landed in the hangar. Something had happened on the trip, something involving the Darkside. It gnawed at him, and he had not had time to think since it struck; no time to meditate. Commander had gone into hiding or dead, he did not know. All he did know was that he’d received a message from Alliance Command and it bore the seal of the Order. That only meant that Arda had taken up the mantle of leader, one who had shown such promise and been through so much turmoil. He had thought on this since the Kirin entered hyperspace.

The shuttle ramp descended and he told 3T-S5 to stay with it. The little machine waited diligently by the top of the ramp. Luy stepped out across the hangar floor, heavy footfalls befitting a Feeorin of his stature. Each time he met a Rebel official he smiled, stepped aside, placed his hands together in his sleeves and gave a slight bow. This delayed his arrival somewhat, but it was the least he could do to show respect to these brave souls, doing so much to aid the Alliance’s cause and therefore the Order’s.

After quite sometime since his arrival would’ve been noted by even the lax subaltern, and no doubt conveyed to the command chamber, the doors would reveal the large robed humanoid with a raised hood over his mane of tendrils. Taking a few steps forward he noted the three people in the chamber. His hands raised within the confines of his long sleeves and a deep brow was given. “And so time flows akin to the Force and I find myself meeting another gathering of the brave, bold and true.” he rose and removed his hood. “Well met all of you.” he moved to stand apart from the Rebels and once more he focused on the Force, suddenly exuding an aura of serenity and calm. “May the Force guide us in this meeting and our actions henceforth.

Walking into the war room aboard the Ilum-class frigate, Alys felt a wry smile creeping onto her face. To think that she was here, only a few years ago she would have laughed if anyone had told her things would turn out like this. A Jedi, serving on the Alliance Council, fighting the tyrannical rule of the Sith. That was not how she had expected her life to turn out when she had been approaching her sixteenth birthday, the fateful day when she had run away. But she was glad that things had turned out the way they had, despite all the struggles along the way. This was where she was meant to be, she didn't need to be a Jedi to know that.

Entering the war chamber, she stopped just within the threshold with just a hint of the smile that had finally managed to break through her attempts to hold it back. She looked at those within, Jedi, rebels, heroes one and all. She wasn't sure where she fit in with them. She had been trained by Jedi like Valentine and Aurora, just as much by rebels such as Greybok. She had one foot firmly rooted in both arms of the Galactic Alliance, and that too felt right to her. She was just where she was supposed to be, just where the Force wanted her to be.

"Hello." She said as she smiled and nodded at those within, continuing to walk and stepping in from the threshold. "Looks like the gang's all here."

They each came inside the war room, one by one, but all present nonetheless and Arda felt the weight of the Alliance lift from her shoulders knowing she had the support of her council. Alys was last to enter, announcing that everyone was present, her smile reflected to Arda who also smiled, "Indeed, welcome everyone, I am pleased you were all able to make it." she greeted, "We've had some drastic circumstances that has raised concerns for the state of the rebellion." The Jedi scanned the faces in the room to gauge their reactions though she knew it wouldn't be too much of a surprise.

"Hoth demonstrated what the Sith are capable of in regards of their navy, we've always suspected, but with the re-alliance of the two empires over the years, it is clear their navy is not hurting, in fact, I think we can safely assume what we saw on Hoth was all but a fraction of what they are capable of and what we will not accomplish." she paused, getting to the point of her observation, "They think with strength in numbers, we need to think strength in knowledge. Work smarter. Imps can be predictable, we should not be." Arda explained. "However, we will never match them in military might, but we do have talented pilots, what is the state of star squadron?" she asked; Greybrok had lead the fighter squadron, but his absence also had drawn concern, she had even began to wonder if their allied worlds should go on heightened alert, but her inexperience said she sounded too paranoid, and her senses spoke of something that settled on the horizon, too far to grasp, but too close to not take notice. Regardless, there was no clear answer.

"What ever your answer is, I don't want to hear they are grounded." she said waiting for a response, knowing Alys would have the most information on the fighter squadron.

Things hadn't gone smoothly since Grey's disappearance. For one reason or another the ranks of Star Squadron had shrunk, almost as if Grey's disapparance had sucked the very life out of the group. But weakened though it might be, the squadron was still alive, still serving the rebellion to the best of its abilities. But with the alliance undergoing so many changes, it finally seemed like time to breathe new life in, refresh its ranks with new members and remind the Galaxy why the squadron was held in such high regard not so long ago.

"The squadron has been bleeding for some time, losing members, its effectiveness shrinking." She felt sad saying that, almost as if she had betrayed Grey's legacy by letting the squadron to come to its current state, but she had to accept that it wasn't what it had once been. "With the loss of Hoth and Naboo Star Squadron lost its main bases of operation. What remained of the squadron scattered, spread out across the Galaxy. Our ranks have shrunk, but those who remain are still ready to answer the call at the drop of a hat. Give the call and the squadron can be assembled within a day, but for now we deemed it best to spread out and serve the alliance as best as we could on our own. Even now the surviving members are out and about on missions, forming cells, recruiting members, doing everything that Grey taught them to do."

Times were changing, the Alliance might have to change, and Star Squadron might have to change with it as well. All she could do was make sure that the squadron was ready to do the same.

She knew the news about their squadron fighters was not going to be top par, the hustle to remove everyone from the Hoth base spread out their forces, it made have weakened them some, but this would be opportunity to stretch their reach to other systems and to remind the Empire they were not interested in backing down. She nodded in understanding as Alys spoke, explaining the situation, "Keep the recruiting going, I would like a solid team put together in the next few weeks if possible, we will need to rely on them more as we saw on Hoth, our fleet will never out power what the Empire has. We'll have to rely on speed and talent of our smaller fighters." explained Arda, "Do not let what the Empire had intimidate, it was a show of force, but they revealed their cards to us, we may have been able to successfully defeated the Empire on Hoth if it wasn't for their bombings."

Arda paused and pressed a couple buttons on the holo projector bringing up a map, outlining the new territories of the Untied Protectorate, "A joint resolution created by the Mandalorians and the Empire has given us a new set of cards to play with and may give us the chance to start ushering in an opportunity to set the foundations of another Republic, but until then, we start to play a more active role in the core, we show more face in the Imperial aligned sectors." Arda glanced to Luy and Tycho, "Begin to gather those who still resist Imperial rule there, they may be more vocal as change comes. Do you two think you can handle it?" she asked with a small eager smile, knowing they were very capable.

Tycho listened closely as Arda and Alysanne discuss the status of Star Squadron. It did not look good but it does not mean that it cannot be improved either. Given time it will be back up to where they were before. The status of the Alliance may not be that much better after what happened on Hoth. But like the Squadron the GA as a whole can build up. There are still those who either have a voice against the Empire or want in on the action. All they have to do is either give the people a way to express their voice or bring them in to join the fight.

Looking at the holo projection showing the new territory for the United Protectorate. Arms crossed over his arms as he studied the projection closely. Picking the map apart. It will be clear to the others that he is thinking very carefully about something

"With what they have shown on Hoth. They have given us an idea of what we are up against. The Empire just did us a favor." Tycho interjected after Arda addressed him and the other Jedi Master Luy. Looking at the holo projector the criminal already had a list of places that he can go to in order to stir things up, "I can handle my part of the task. In fact. I already have a few places in mind to go stir things up at." He told Arda as Tycho looked from the projector to the Jedi Master with a grin. Oh he is going to be having some fun causing the Empire a major headache with what he has being planned in his head now, "Just give the word and I will make sure my part of the job gets done." He will say lastly to indicate that he is ready to go when the word is given.

Luy’s eyes glistened in the light of the holo-projection, was it old eyes or welling emotion? Surely not from a Jedi Master! The news on Star Squadron’s wane twinned with the feeling of loss that he carried from prior news. He blinked as he was address, his head shaking and his eyes blinking rapidly. Luy’s head lowered, his hands moving to clasp each other before him. His swallowed before speaking and coughed slightly.

And I thought that my tales from Bothawui and Kothlos had gone unheeded. I would be privileged to conduct some… tend to the Light and stoke it to a great beacon of Hope.” Luy raised his head and looked to the holo-projection once more. As he studied intensely his hand rose and the other grasped his elbow. He placed a thumb under his chin, the middle rested on it front and with his index he stroked a tendril from his upper lip.

He breathed deeply as he saw the world he would like to work on. He lowered the supporting hand and then pointed up with the one that balanced his chin on his thumb tip. “Here, I shall go here. They are vocal in all topics, the people that can help should not be hard to find. I will develop my personal code while I am gone, I hope that you are alright with my encryption technique… I find it is good to rely on a non-technical solution.” The Master’s hand lowered and he returned to his slightly bowed, hands clasped pose. “Of course, I will be available should the Order require my aid, but I ask that I am assigned a competent combat leader… should security be breached.

He was not too proud to admit this need, nor was he humble enough to not choose his own planet to work on, the old Master’s tone returned to his teaching timbre. But as one though trose it became hesitant. “I-I would ask that my cell does not contain any unvetted students… I will be exposed enough without another pupil falling.

Tycho spoke first, emphasizing how the Empire did them a favor in revealing their hand and Arda nodded, agreeing with the General. He spoke of several locations and it was met with a grin, Arda returned her own, trusting the General in his ability to give more than just headaches, and knowing it would be more of a throbbing migraine in the coming days as he assembled his teams.

"Very good General, you have my approval and I'll know your work is successful when I see it on the holonet." she grinned, then turned attention to Master Luy who took his time in decided where to take his team of Jedi. She wanted the Order to reach more in the galaxy, especially in the newly formed UP where they would be able to roam more freely on some worlds over others. It would be their chance to stir up things with the remaining Imperial supporters while subtly gaining more support in worlds that clearly opposed the Empire and their part in the UP governing systems.

Luy pointed on the map where he planned to start and spoke of developing a new coding system to help better secure sensitive material, "That would helpful, it gets tougher every time the encryption modules need to be updated." she explained, "If we call for your aid, you will hear." she told him looking back at the holoprojector and made her own personal notes along the hologram image of the map, marking where they each would set up their Forces.

"This is a start and you will all see to it, the Force is with you," she looked at each of the members of the Alliance Council, "This council is dismissed until called upon again." she said with a final nod.

Godspeed, Rebels
