--PERSONALITY--
Hal acts like a typical teenager his age. This has been noted by many of the teachers he’s been under. On occasion he has gathered other Padawans into using the Force for games or activities. He has be reprimanded for using his abilities in unique, but frowned upon, methods. Yet despite his unorthodox behavior he has also shown tremendous growth, both in the use of the Force and his understanding of the Jedi teachings.

During his hard life as a slave Hal developed a guardian type personality with those close to him. He expects himself to help and protect them from danger, much like the way he did with the younger children he lived with as a slave. He is furiously protective of these people and could find his judgement clouded if they are threatened.

--BIOGRAPHY--
Hal’s life started off as well as one could expect. Born to a normal family on Tatooine Hal would have had a good life if it wasn’t for his family being killed in an accident when he was still a baby. Hal managed to survive and was left in the care of his Uncle. He didn’t stay their long as he was sold as a slave to pay of his Uncle’s gambling debts. Hal, still a baby, began his life as a slave.

He was given the name Hal from his alien care bringer after seeing his eyes. It was the name of their moon that would shine blue once a month. He would take the name Kailas, which was his care bringers name, after she was beaten to death for sneaking the young slaves more food. He took the name in order to never forget how kind she was to him. Hal’s life was rough for a young child but he coped with it well. Not for himself but for the sake of the other children with him. He took it upon himself to protect them. Even going as far as to take their punishments for them from time to time. He would find hiding spots so he and the other children could have time away from the duties of slavery. He was despised by his owner as being extraordinarily hard to break and for keeping the other children happy, despite all the abuse.

At the age of eight years a man in robes came to look at the children. After giving them a few tests two were brought before their owner and asked what their price was. Hal couldn’t believe it, someone wanted to buy him. Who was this man and what did he want Hal for? After discussing the price Hal was given to the man rather cheaply, he wouldn’t understand why until later, Jedi had their ways. It was then that Hal was brought to Tython to begin his training as a Jedi.

It would be a long road for Hal at the Jedi Academy at Tython. He proved to be an excellent student grasping the concepts of the force quickly. He excelled in his studies from a young age. His martial abilities flourished as well as his understanding of the Force and the Jedi Code. He would be reprimanded a few times but quickly learned that in order to continue he had to stay in line. He had seen to many of his friends let go because they refused or strayed to far from the Order's teachings.

As he got older Hal began studying the Force on his own time, which his teachers approved of. It was after seeing him using the Force in advanced methods his teachers allowed him to continue his training outside of Tython. For for the first time in years Hal was allowed off world. He set out to finish his training under the many teachers the Order offered.

I think this is a bit unbalanced, he's above average in all categories and exceptional in 2. You might want to make him weak at something, give him a challenge to overcome. That said, you could replace the vague numbers with an explanation, so that we and you can visualize it better. Just remember, Mary Sue's are never very well liked by others; not to say that's what you're aiming for, but you don't want others perceiving it that way.

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
Shii-Cho, partial Ataru

The rules on Lightsaber forms say Padawan's and Knight's can only know one at any given time. That DOESN'T mean once you know one, you can't unlearn it for another. Obiwan replaced his Ataru style with Soresu, and became a master of Soresu.

In case you weren't joking, Obi-Wan didn't unlearn Ataru, he just decided to focus on Soresu instead. :P He employed Ataru in the fight with Dooku in the Episode 3 novelization as a trick before he and Anakin overwhelmed him by switching back into their more learned styles.

I don't think you and me have the same idea on the numbers. What I was going for is 4,5,6 are roughly the norm. 7,8 are above average and 9,10 are exceptional. He's fairly normal and above average/good at three things, not exceptional at anything.

For the Martial Arts one that's actually my bad, I used my old unfinished profile. I'll be adding that in, just can't remember what I put as the reason why lol.

For the lightsaber skill I used the wrong word. Fixing that. He's good for a Padawan but he's still a Padawan.

They also aren't required :P. Part of roleplaying is trusting the person you are roleplaying with to control and put their character in danger as well. You really shouldn't worry.

I gotta agree with Alum; while it can be a good thing for characters to have weaknesses, not all people in real life have weaknesses and they are still interesting and such.

and yea, Obi-Wan remained a master of both forms; it's not like in the Star Wars world Padawans, Knights, and Masters are restricted to however many forms we are on this site.
