BIOGRAPHY
Hagar was born to scrappers on a small compound on the south side of Bracca, near the Lowland Wasteyard. Both her mother and father worked long shifts, leaving their young child to wander. Although there was not a lack of love in her family, she was an extra mouth to feed and caring for her meant taking time off scrapping. Money was scarce, so Maryline and Lin spent the last of their credits flying to a nearby clinic on Naboo to help their rapidly ailing daughter. There they cut ties in hopes of a better life for both Hagar and themselves.
Much of her early life was spent in group homes, until the age of thirteen, when Hagar aged out of the social programs. She functioned as an older sister to many of the other children, as the home was short-staffed, run with the best of intentions but not the best of practices. It was at her time in the home that she began to notice one of her quirks- the ability to sense the emotions of others- growing. Dismissing it as strong empathy, Hagar only began to pay more attention when other accidents began occurring. The accidents ranged from somehow managing to knock over a glass across the table in a burst of anger to slowing the tumble of the elderly matron down the stairs.
Standing out, doing anything suspicious or out of line in the home would have been dangerous, so Hagar waited until she had left to explore her odd way of understanding people and manipulating with her mind. She worked at a local arms and sundry dealer, and most nights, after the place had closed down, she would picture a cartridge or a credit sliding off a counter or levitating slightly. While Hagar never witnessed any levitation, the occasional clink or thump of success kept her going, as did the encouragement from her boss about how good she was with customers.
Hagar constantly looks for opportunity seeking to become anything that could give her leverage over the cruel and unpredictable galaxy.
Personality
Hagar posses a kind, gentle soul. She cares for the innocent and believes in justice at all costs. In her eyes, there are certain wrongs that can never be righted and even the tiniest error that hurts another must be paid back in blood, sweat, or tears.
While easy to talk to and befriend, Hagar is also incredibly easy to offend. She willingly takes pain on herself, but any slight to one she perceives as helpless, collateral damage, or innocent leads to a complete transformation. Should she feel threatened or cheated, Hagar becomes cold and cruel, taking it upon herself to avenge the wrongdoing. Often, she projects her frustrations as well as morality on others, blaming an individual for the doings of an institution and spitting on any who look down on her.
Despite her easily agitated temper, Hagar thrives building relationships with others, seeing herself as their protector, even if she is not in a mentorship-like role as she was with many of the children on Naboo. She seeks to soothe anger and abate fear in those she loves. Although her love is won more easily than some, it can morph into hate in the blink of an eye.
Skills
Hagar is gifted with extreme, some might even say unnatural empathy. She can sense undisguised emotion easily and is more perceptive than most at deciphering even those who attempt stoicism, though she is far from perfect.
Dioxis poisoning had no effects on Hagar's long-term health and she is athletic with good reflexes.
Without a proper formal education, Hagar never learned to fly ships, or any trade outside of arms retail. Still, she absorbs information quickly and has little trouble adjusting to new routines, habits, and situations, making her adaptable and resilient. Her experience with children and customers lends her skills in conversation, perception, and attention to detail. Should she desire, she can be reassuring, convincing, or scathing, as she tends to notice the quirks of individuals in response to her suggestion.
