OOC Mission Statement

Haar Echoy'la aims to be less of the traditional Mandalorian Faction, and instead channel the events of the Clan Wars and Genocide into creating a group that evokes those such as Robin Hood's Band of Merry Men, or the Brotherhood Without Banners from the popular Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire series. This isn't a group that does the usually chest thumping bravado, but instead focuses on the many different individuals with loftily (and probably impossible) goals and the challenges they face as a rag tag group of survivors. ​

Haar Echoy'la | The Lost​

Haar Echoy'la is less a formal organization than it is a small grouping of survivors of the recent Mandalorian Genocide and their allies dedicated to the preserving the remaining Mandalorian people, and finding a new home for them, but who are at the same time unwilling to affiliate themselves with the surviving major clans. With no major backing, and relentlessly hunted to extinction by the Imperium, Haar Echoy'la operates in a very loose manner. Outside the goal of simple Mandalorian survival members of the group show a diverse array of beliefs, creeds, occupations, and methodologies. With no major bases, hidden fortresses of solitude, ships, or other assets the group can be hard to track simply because there's nothing but a handful of individuals to track in the first place.


Beliefs & Goals​

The singular and overarching goal of Haar Echoy'la is the survival of the Mandalorian people. Aside from that there's far less tying the group together than what would be found in the traditional Mandalorian Clan. The beliefs of individual members run the gamut. There is no singular interpretation of traditional Mandalorian tenets such as the Resol'nare. This often leads to disputes between members but it's a basic prerequisite of the group that these disputes can be set aside to focus on the greater goals of the group.


Organization​

Another distinction between Haar Echoy'la is the eschewing of the traditional clan structure. Members largely come from clans that were destroyed in either the Clan Wars or the Genocide, and given the wide array of beliefs it would be hard indeed for them to choose a singular leader. Members are typically left to pursue their own professions, working on their own ways to acquire resources for the group. Oftentimes however members will confer with one another for advice and training.

Hangar 9​

A private hangar in Belrand on the Outer Rim world of Adarlon. The hangar is rented out by the group, and all members chip in now and again for monthly payments, and regular upkeep of the facility. The Hangar boasts no impressive fortifications or military security measures but it does offer the group a stable roof over their heads, and a place to rest their bodies while not working. The hangar boasts modest accommodations for members, such as tools for any repair work, holonet access, and cots for sleeping. In terms of storage, the hangar can hold two light freighters, a trio of starfighters, and a pair of speeder's.

The Haar Echoy'la share ownership of two ZH-285 Risāla class courier ships for their general operations. While nowhere near a dedicated warship, or mobile fortification base, it is a spectacular ship in the hands of the right pilot. It fully dedicated to keeping those within it safe and secure as possible, while at the same time a discrete transport that allows the members to fly easily through the Galaxy without any authority taking a second look.

NPC INFORMATION​

While the actual members in Haar Echoy'lar do the real important parts in the faction, it's our NPCs that keep our story going forward. Many of them foreshadow the future story arcs for the group, and are also involved in certain parts of the story throughout the Haar Echoy'la lore. They also serve as mentors for our characters, should we seek to train our skills in one particular area. Members are able to interact in solo-threads, as well as take any NPCs with them on missions, and would take up an Optional member slot per NPC. I encourage our members to have fun and even expand upon their history of the NPCs should they choose to. I do ask that our notable NPCs be kept safe and alive as they might prove to be beneficial to the future of our storylines. Minor NPCs (gained during and after Arc 2) are welcome to be your cannon fodder, however. Notable NPCs can only be gained after the certain mission is completed, in which they will be added to the total NPC count. Minor NPCs are usually recruited en masse, or gained at the end of specific missions or arcs.

Mila is a Mandalorian-turned-Sith. Shortly before her verd'goten, the Imperials and Mandalorians allied to bring down the Galactic Alliance. As a sign of good faith, the Sith were allowed to take some Mandalorian Force Sensatives for training, Mila being one of them. She found the teachings repulsive for the most part, but she was talented. Once the Blockade was official, she completely defected from the Sith, and killed a local pirate fleet captain. With his fleet in tow, she hoped to gain a larger force to break the blockade and free the Mandalorians was but her fleet was decimated just before the genocide took place. Kinooine junkers managed to save her, returning her to their home planet. As a thank, she helped the junkers from local pirates plaguing their settlement, in hopes of beginning her route of redemption. Force User (Acolyte level), and Lightsaber combatant (advanced Acolyte level).

Born in the summer of 963 ABY, Sōng Yězhū (松野猪) grew up on the verdant world of Zhēnxīng. Born into the Yu clan of Fett, Yězhū was the eldest of six children. His youth was spent learning the customs and cultures of two distinctly different peoples and the means that his aliit had come by to reconcile those differences. His verd’goten was much like his nieces, a set of trials that pitted the indomitable will of the lad against that of nature and himself. As was expected, he and his kin passed with flying colors. From that day forward, he would be verd. Since that very moment, Yězhū has committed himself wholly to his people to the near exclusion of all else. At one point during his long life, he married and sired offspring. However, due to his nature and his belief of constantly putting others before himself, this strained his marriage. Despite the fact that such was often celebrated in Mandalorian culture, Yězhū took this practice too far.

Most of the time he neglected his family. In the end it cost him his marriage and children. However, his children would later die of illness and injury, leaving him without a true heir. Grief stricken, his ex-wife exiled herself and the two lost touch. In the wake, his childhood friend and sweetheart, Mèilì (魅力) was there to help him through his darkest hour. Afterwards, he took to bounty hunting offworld to fill the void in his heart. Years later after his bloodlust was sated, he returned home to find his baby brother with wife and adopted daughter. The first time he looked in the little girl’s eyes, he knew his life could be redeemed. From that point forward, he took an active role in helping to facilitate the upbringing of a young Xīnghuā. Nearly every moment, he spent with the girl, raising her and teaching her the ways of her people.

When the wars came and his baby brother and sister-in-law answered the battle cry, Yězhū stayed behind to watch over the clan and his beloved niece. As news of the war spread and the betrayal on Coruscant reached his ears, he knew the end was near. From that point forward he took to raising a young Xīnghuā almost exclusively. Only allowing her out of his watchful eye to train at the Southern Temple with the monks and abbots. He was there for her verd’goten and he was there after the Chángshā debacle. He was there for the dissolution of their clan at the hands of Verus Fett. However, when it came time to travel with her, he left her side. Having realized that she would not truly grow until she had experienced the harsh realities of life for herself, he made the cold decision to seemingly abandon her as he prepared to return to Zhēnxīng with his brother Zhuen.

This would be the last time the two would see each other for some time.
