Dantooine
Farm, Midday
This is an open thread for Jedi specifically. There will not be PvP but I do hope we encounter some opposition in the form of Pirate/Criminal/Raider NPCs; this is not a plot thread I'm looking to ease back into things!
Thank you.

The hills of Dantooine were always a pleasure to view and the scent of this planet always brought a calm to the Jedi’s mind. Dantooine was a planet that had been minimally tainted by the industries of the Core, the air was always crisp and fresh. Dantooine was not a place that attracted large attention, it mostly consisted of farmers and the occasional small village of farmers. The Jedi had been occupying the planet many times before and even today, now it is true that it did on occasion attached a Sith or other Force User, given the knowledge of crystals beneath the surface. Sometimes there were pirates and raiders or treasure hunters hoping to make a quick cred around these parts as well. By all accounts, Dantooine was a peaceful place and the Jedi of course wanted to keep it that way for years to come.

Earlier in his Knighthood, Ovinci had travelled to Dantooine to offer his Force Services to the farmers and the kin. Dantooine held a special place in the Mirialan Knight because this was the planet that gave birth to his Kyber Crystal resting peacefully in his hilt. The pale blue crystal hummed with excitement with being back on Dantooine, Ovinci could feel his connection with his crystal today. He came here to help with planet growth and for calming of the local herds for the farmers. All Jedi had this ability, this gift, and Jedi were often seen coming here to tighten their understand of the Force and help them understand the regenerative and life forces bound within the weaves of the Force. This was slow work, and that was expected. Jedi typically did not have enough power to tend to the entire fields of a farm, instead their powers were localized to a single plant in the early stages and just a small handful in the later stages. This was long, tedious work, but that’s why they did it.

Ovinci was with several other Jedis today, each would be responsible for a section of the fields and they’d work together to benefit the farmers, this was especially important as the planet had suffered less than ideal rainfall recently and natural growth wasn’t as sustainable right now – the Jedi needed to tend to help jump start and to avoid the setbacks associated with lack of rain, it was critical to stay ahead of the growth cycle as they needed food and couldn’t afford delays.

Ovinci was deep in thought and meditation as he positioned himself in the middle of the fields. The heat above causing a few drops of sweat, but the Jedi kept himself cool with the Force. He had reached out far and wide with the Force and began weaving it between the individual crops. He could sense everyone of them in his small section of the field, he dug deep with the Force and followed the tips of the crops down to the roots and then expand outward throughout the soil, testing the moisture levels and the growth cycles of the soil and it’s crops. With every breath, the soil became enriched with nutrients and with life energies, as the soil was renewed the roots curled and wiggled with delight. The Knight took stock of the effect that he was having on the crops, although in concentration a smile crossed his face – this type of task was somewhat satisfying for him, although he was a warrior. But this was like a battle, like a strategy game or something.

Things were progressing well for the Jedi and his task, but he sound found himself wrinkling his nose as the sweet smell of moisture began to fill the air. Was something happening or was he just imagining the scent as it teased his nostrils. Soon thereafter, he felt something land on his head, it was wet, but it was a single drop. Did a bird-like creature just turn his head into a restroom? The thought made him squirm a little, but soon he felt another drop on his head, then his shoulder, then his shoulders and head, and then his whole body.

Ovinci opened his eyes, the sky had grown dark and it had begun the rain. No… we didn’t do that did we? The farmers might think the Jedi did some sort of rain dance and now they had rain, this was later confirmed by the distant cheers of some of the farmers; it was mere coincidence, the Jedi hadn’t caused it to rain – that was just nature. Well, the crops would certainly enjoy this, but the Mirialan really didn’t need to be soaked to his skin. It was a steady rain for now, he gathered his things and quickly made for the nearest shelter to stay dry. It wasn’t far for him to go and certainly his brothers and sisters would join him shortly.

Ovinci took up a seat in one of the corners of the room, the room was quaint to say the least. Functional, but quaint. Several other Jedi entered after him and found their own places in the large gathering hall; but what got Ovinci's attention was the group of farmers who had gathered a table just a short distance from him. Ovinci turned his attention to the group and listened closely, using the Force if necessary, to eavesdrop on their conversation. This would not be common for him, but he made an exception because they were discussing a recent raid on a farm a few leagues over. The concern was obvious, they were afraid they’d be targeted, and they’d see their work gone to waste.

All that had been taken was a variety of supplies from medical to food and farming equipment. Anything a group of thugs could make a quick cred off; some farmers were less than honest and took other yields to pass off as their own from cattle to crops. Although not a big, critical incident it was an incident none the less. Ovinci was trying to gather enough information to figure out where to go and how soon to go. Did he go soon while it rained or should he wait for it to clear. The former was appearing more appealing to this Knight though.
