Group meets in Hanna City for demonstration in support of the Jedi
Hello! As many of you must know, there was a recent increase in anti-Jedi sentiment, with some planets of the Core reaching the point of forbidding their presence on their territory. These actions, which we consider as excessive and unnecessary, were the result of the tragic events caused by two Jedi in Kashyyyk during the Sith.
While we agree totally that what they did was terrible and they deserved to receive a punishment, we from Gatalenta's Voice abhor the notion that all the Jedi Order should be penalized by. Some will say that it wasn’t the first time that the Jedi did something like that, but we want to remind you all that the Order did many other good things. They defended the Galaxy against the Sith Empire in ancient times, they protected the Republic against the Nihil, they defeated Palpatine two times and recently recovered several planets that were once conquered by the Sith.
This generalization of the Jedi as chaotic and destructible is dangerous and preached hatred against a group that lived peacefully in the Galaxy for centuries. Many planets are diving so much in this "jediphobia" that are seeking to break relations with them. This will open them to attacks by the Sith.
"But the Sith are attacking us because of the Jedi! Look at Kashyyyk!" This excuse has become much common nowadays. No, my friends. Who believes that by expelling the Order, will be protected from the Sith is gullible. The Empire will not stop, you will be making the conquest only easier for them. See the case of Firrerre. The planet had no alliance with the Jedi and even then it was completely bombarded. The Sith are hungry for power and destruction, only the total subjugation of the Galaxy will satisfy them.
Seeking to show support to the Jedi in this difficult moment, a group of supporters of the Order is going to meet this weekend at Hanna City for a peaceful demonstration in support of them. We of the Gatalenta's Voice are going here to participate and cover the event. We invite everyone that cares and is grateful for all that the Jedi did for the Galaxy to come. This invitation is also extended to members of the Order. We want to show our gratitude to you all.
