Grand Theft Starship

nar-shaddaa.jpg

It always amazed Myn how many crime lords always had to have such extravagant things; a priceless painting, a massive citadel, a gleaming starship. Like it made them have class or it filled some emptiness within their greedy heart. He sighed from his perch on the rooftops of the Smuggler's Moon. The ship would arrive within a few hours, the mercenary had better show up before then. He hoped whoever he was, wasn't just a meathead who solved everything with a blaster bolt. He needed someone with finesse to pull this off. The ship he was targeting was called, Jedispawn. I bet the bastard thought he was clever or something to come up with that name. It was a state of the art ship, even by Komad Industry standards. A luxury ship that doubled as a frontline corvette, though one couldn't tell from it's outward appearance. A gleaming thing, but housing a hidden and deadly arsenal. No wonder Aden wanted it. Well...either that or it was because he just liked shiney things. You could never tell with that Echani.

The Felacatian did a front flip from the edge of the roof, using his inhuman agility and dexterity to grip overhangs and pipes on the way down to the dark alley. The entire time he and his movements were as silent as the grave. He could have literally landed right on top of someone and they never would have heard or seen him coming.

As he landed in the silent alley, his heightened senses caught something. A foreign smell among the usual noxious fumes of Nar Shaddaa, and the sound of footsteps that would have been silent to anyone besides Myn. With a smile he called in the direction of the hidden figure, "Well, well. Aren't we stealthy? Stop skulking in the shadows. We haven't even been introduced and the games are about to begin."

The blaster clicked as Kasche checked and double checked his arsenal of weaponry. Everything was fully-loaded. Even so, he had several packs of ammunitions on his person. He wasn't going to run out any time soon. He had enough to kill at least three platoons. He had donned his primary battle armor, number 00, and on his back lay his sheathed vibrosword. On his person he had an automatic assault rifle, a high powered pistol, another stun-gun pistol, plasma grenades, and a couple thermal detonators. It was what he considered a light inventory. If anything, Kasche knew how to kill. And he knew how to kill well.

The Legion had been hired by many varieties of people, anyone who thought it was within their price range and wanted professionals to get the job done right. The Legion had an impressive track record, they'd never failed a mission before. However, the Legion had begun to fall apart in recent. Phoenix disappeared, Kasche naturally assumed that it was her past that caught up with her, but she wasn't the only one. Kithamus, Raine, and Ezrahkel had all vanished as well. Law still existed, and last Kasche heard he was stuck somewhere on the other side of the galaxy. He wasn't sure what happened to Kintae or the new recruits. Krieg was desolate. The Legion hadn't gotten a client or a hit for many months now, and Kasche was afraid that the family business was over. However, when Komad Industries came knocking with money to offer, Kasche couldn't refuse. He had to pay the bills somehow.

Kasche had spent the day prior investigating his job and scoping out the mission area. It was a simple enough heist. Kasche could easily pull it off on his own. But he even had a designated companion. Obviously, Kasche came early. He had to see who he was to be with and what might go down by observation. The figure that he assumed was his partner was strange, he grasped to the sides of a building like an animal and moved in a way that reminded him a lot about Ezrahkel.

Impressive enough, however, is he heard the dark figure speak to him, despite his adept cover and obvious vision obstruction.

Kasche walked forward out of the shadows with a smile.

"So, you're the guy they call the Operator?"

He looked down at the thing's tail and features.

"I imagined you to be—"

His smile subsided.

"—Less feline."

Kasche was now at his side, looking forward on to the ship that was their target. Well, he had to hand it to them. The ship was pretty. Kasche turned to him with a questioning tone.

"I'm assuming you know how many hostiles we're looking at here."

"That's right," said Myn. "I'm The Operator. As for being feline, well...I doubt you've seen many of my kind. We don't really like to travel from our home planet. I was always the oddball in that regard. But down to business."

He turned and looked to the gleaming ship in the distance. "The ship will only be here for the next four hours so we will have to move quickly. I estimate about twenty-five guards on the ship itself, ten of which are war droids. This particular group recently suffered quite a few arrests that lowered the guard on the ship. Now, here's the plan. First we make our way over to the docking area where the ship is, then we infiltrate the dock head's office. From their we can slice the terminal and change the records. This will allow us to take off quickly once we eliminate all hostiles on the ship. After that we have to get rid of the local thugs and security watching the ship. While we could risk a fire fight, if even one guard on the ship realizes what's going on then they can put it into lock down and we won't be able to get on board. But don't worry, I have a plan to get on the ship."

"After all that the rest is simple,"
said Myn with a shrug. "We take out anyone on the ship that would stop us and take off in the ship like nothing is unusual. So any questions, comments, or snide remarks?"

Kasche observed everything as the Operator explained the plan, as well as the ship's makeup as the device on his wrist analyzed the structure and design of the ship. He also took note of the visible guards outside of the ship, they're habits, they're level of vigilance, and any knack for conversation. He ran scenarios through his mind of both the Operator's plan and plans of his own. Fifteen spread out guards were a measly force, and droids could easily be dispatched with an electromagnetic discharge. Kasche reached down on his belt and found the right devices for such usage. And when it came to the time for questions, comments, or snide remarks, Kasche was more than ready.

"Wouldn't the plan go much more smoother and efficient, if we split up and regrouped? I can take the guards to myself without drawing any attention. All you have to do is terminate those overlooking the ship, and then slice the terminal, while I dispatch those that are inside. A guard wouldn't initiate lockdown unless he knew he was up against something he couldn't handle. If it was a just his associates not responding on the comm. channel, then he would simply go check it out or send someone to do that."

"We could accomplish it in half the time it would take to do together as you suggested."

Kasche paused for a moment as he checked the time on his wrist and calibrated it accordingly.

"Plus we could easily succeed with much bigger and pretty fish than this—"

He reached behind his back and carefully drew his vibrosword, but not activating it. Instead he held it loosely at his side.

"—But you're the boss. All up to you."

I should really bump up my standards when it comes to clients.

"True, there are bigger and pretty fish out there. But this...let's just say it holds some special meaning." Myn didn't use any weapons besides his hands and feet, they were deadly enough, but he always carried dual vibroknives and a holdout blaster just in case. "We could split up, but you see it won't be as easy as you think. One of the guards happens to be a rather famous mercenary. As a fellow mercenary you might have even heard of him; Yirim the Black. Famed for killing two hundred and thirteen pirates on his own along the Outer Rim. But here's the trick, we can't kill him. We have plans for him. But he will most certainly try and kill us, killing is something he happens to be very good at. Would it be quicker to split up? Probably. Smarter? Perhaps not."

He turned to face the mercenary after watching the ship. "If you want to split up go ahead. You take the guards patrolling the docks, but remember these guys are jumpy. Anything suspicious and they'll lock it down. I'll head to the office to slice the terminal and take out the guards there. You have a few minutes to meet up with me near the back of the ship or get left behind. Don't underestimate these guys. There has already been two attempted thefts and they repelled them both."

"So,"
said Myn with a mischievous smile. "Let's go make the third time the charm, shall we?"

Kasche shrugged at the mention of special meaning. Sentimental? Perhaps. Or maybe they knew something that he didn't. At the mention of Yirim the Black, Kasche couldn't help but laugh. "Two hundred and thirteen space pirates? Easily done with one hand behind my back. I've done worse to paid mercenaries of the wretched Hutts. You're lucky you've hired the Legion out of hunting season, otherwise it would have cost you a lot more for our work. Even if it was a Jedi, still I tell you, there are few jobs our organization cannot handle."

As the Operator gave the final plan, Kasche put his own opinion aside, and listened. He wasn't the one with the credits here.

"You're the boss."

With that, he stealthily separated from the Operator, and kept himself in the shadows. He graciously navigated through into the docks, making sure to hit the right spot outside of the light and into the guards' blind spot. The most efficient way to not draw attention was to pick them off one by one. If it was done right, by the time a surviving guard realized that there was something afoot then it would be too light. Carefully, Kasche silently crawled near a corner that a guard was walking past. With his back turned, Kasche came from behind him, grasped the man's mouth so that no noise would be heard, and slit his throat with the vibroblade. Blood would fleck on the ground below and, Kasche dumped the body out of sight, returning to the shadows outside of the green-lit area that the guards watched.

Kasche continued his way down to the next guard, who was not too far off. He turned, thinking he had heard something, only to have his head decapitated, clean, by a swift strong stroke of Kasche's blade. Kasche quickly turned his blade sideways, catching the head on the edge. Grabbing the dead man's shirt, the mercenary exited from sight, disposing of the head and body as he did.

The next three targets, Kasche found, overlapped their patrol at a single area, and he found it an apt opportunity to dispose of them all at once. Sneaking to the place, Kasche attached a silencer to his high-powered pistol, and waited for a moment. When it was ripe, Kasche emerged behind the closest one and impaled him from the back of his chest. Crimson blood shone with a greenish tint on the blade that impaled through to the other side of the man's chest. Using the man's corpse as a quick cover, Kasche raised his pistol and shot the other two straight in the head. As with the others, the bodies were dumped out of sight. With three more men, he repeated his process. And with the last two guards, he simply shot them both three times with his pistol. The job was finished in less than four minutes. He would consider this not one of his best times, but since caution was the emphasis, he decided he had to play it carefully.

Wiping his vibrosword off and sheathing it, Kasche donned a cloak that hid his assorted guns and weapons, and ventured to the rendezvous point.

Myn suddenly dropped down behind the mercenary with absolute silence and stealth as he reached the designated area. He tapped the man's shoulder to make him turn around and held his hands up playfully as he turned so he knew it wasn't an enemy. Myn had been waiting on the man, his part had been done for several minutes. But even so the man's skill at both dispatching and moving unseen had surprised him. It seemed this gun for hire wasn't just another meathead like many he worked with. Myn pointed to the offices about a hundred yards away. There were two guards standing at the door begging the question as to how he had gotten in to slice the terminal. But if one was observant and had sharp enough eyes, they could tell that the two guards standing at the door were dead. They each had their necks broken and had be pinned to the wall with one of the many vibroknives Myn carried. Once they were dead slicing into the system was a simple task.

"What took you so long?" Said Myn with a catlike smile. "In all seriousness, good work. The Legion has more than earned it's reputation. But this was the easy part. Now here comes the fun part. We have to sneak aboard through the fuel line as the main entrance is the most heavily guarded and they can seal the entire ship in seconds if a firefight breaks out before we are ready. Then of course there's Yirim, who we need to keep alive. By the way, you do know the story behind him killing all of those pirates singlehandedly right? The story goes he killed all two hundred and thirteen in a single day...with his bare hands. That's no small feat. You're good but don't be like a Sith. Arrogance kills them most often. And remember, even the worst guard with the worst shot can kill you if he gets lucky. Always treat your enemies as if they are the most infamous badass in the galaxy, it will keep you on your toes and alive."

"Now, let's see if we can get skinny."
With that he moved to the attached fuel pipe. Opening the emergency hatch, Myn smiled to the mercenary. "After you, good sir."

Kasche didn't bother turning around, he only shifted his head so that Myn was in his peripheral vision. What took him so long?

Says the guy who told me to value efficiency over time.

"I took a walk."

Kasche took a look at Myn's work. "Not bad. Though the smell and blood revenue might not be so good. Oh, and by the way, I took ten of those guys back on the docks. You may have the best time, but I have the body count."

Kasche took a look down at his blaster, tracing the lines that made up it's design.

"Who said I was arrogant, cat-man? Have I ever told you about the time I gutted the Hutt clan's personal army?"

Kasche took a look at the ship, and returned to the mission.

"Another time."

Kasche promptly ditched his cloak and climbed through the hatch with ease, drawing his silenced high-powered pistol with his right hand and grasped an electromagnetic flashbang at his belt. Good for dispatching droids, and making a nice little show to entertain mercenaries. Not to mention overloading nearby circuits.

"Are we finally bringing the party or do you prefer I lie low?"

"I would like to hear that story, but as you said another time. And learn to take a joke." Laughed Myn quietly. "And as for the party, this pipe is going to come out in the engine room. There shouldn't be a soul in sight, and after I give you your party favor. By all means let's make it a very loud and bloody party. Just remember, hit Yirim with a stun. Everyone else is just a walking bodybag."

As they waded through the fuel in the pipe, they soon came to another hatch. Myn hacked it with exceptional speed and they were soon standing in the darkened engine room smelling like walking fuel cannisters. Myn quickly moved to the rear corner and retrieved a box that had been stashed on here earlier. He entered a passcode and the box opened with a quiet click. Myn smiled as he opened it and the contents were revealed; a D34-TH.

D34TH_zps008123d6.jpg

More commonly known as a Death Heavy assault rifle, it was an impressive piece of technology. Designed by Komad Industries, this was designed with two things in mind; maximum firepower and a high body count. If anyone could appreciate a gun like this, it would be the leader of the mercenary group he stood with. He lifted the heavy blaster and turned to face the man with a mischievous smile. He handed the weapon to him and said, "Now that's what I call a party favor. I've seen these things in action used by the Reapers. If you were a one man army before, this just made you a weapons platform. I'm sure as a mercenary you know how technologically advanced Komad Industries weaponry is. I've been authorized to let you have that as part of your payment. Considering what it goes for on the market, I hope you approve."

Kasche holstered his pistol and his grenade, and delicately accepted the gift. "Aw, you shouldn't have."

"You really know how to spoil a mercenary, Mr. Operator."

He held the heavy blaster to get a feel of it, and smiled. Kasche pulled out his stun gun and tossed it to the Operator.

"Here, use this. I'll give you the pleasure of taking down Yimir or Yirm or whatever his name is. It'll make you feel better while I use this thing."

Kasche moved over and kicked down the engine room door. Anything he saw was shoot on sight. Luckily for them, there wasn't any nearby guards as he did so. Moving with strength and total disregard to the fact that many, many mercenaries were on board, Kasche rounded the corner and open fired. Four large thuds were easily dwarfed by the hurricane of noise that the assault rifle made. It had a good fire rate, with some good kick as well. Wisps of smoke rose from the scorched blaster marks, and Kasche knew it was a good gun. No doubt the whole bunch had heard the noise, and would be coming soon.

Myn smiled as he saw the mercenary open fire on some nearby thugs, dropping them quickly. While he watched the corridor for more targets, Myn tapped into some wires behind a panel on the wall. He connected his datapad and was soon in their systems. They had had exceptional security measures, but none of them were good enough to stop the Operator. After disabling internal security and turrets, he hacked into the security feeds. He soon saw what the mercenaries were up to. "Well. Here come the party guests. Yirim is staying on the bridge and he seems to have brought some of his own commandos with him. As much as it would be to stay here and watch you maniacally gun down some criminal underlings, I have another objective I need to accomplish. So I'm going to use you like whatever gods you believe in intended."

"You are going to be my distraction and meatshield," said Myn. "I need you to hold this area for as long as possible. But fall back to a new position if needed so you don't get overwhelmed. Even a few hundred grunts can kill the greatest general, numbers often win after all. But I have faith in you, just don't throw your life away. You're no use to anyone dead."

He tapped back into their systems and closed the blast door, jamming it. "That door is the only way in here. They will cut through, but I bought you some time to set up defenses or whatever."

Myn cut open a ventilation grate and slipped inside. He disappeared from the man's sight and seconds later the sound of a plasma torch was heard. The guards were already cutting through the door.

"Overwhelmed?!"

Kasche chuckled.

"360 degree combat is my specialty. Grunts are grunts for a reason."

This was what holovids were based after, the type of moments he was facing right now. Except the only difference between reality and the holovids were that instead of dying heroically, Kasche would win heroically. He could hear them ramming against the blast door. He waited in anticipation for the action, examining his new weapon as he waited. He carefully listened to the stress that hit the door and how much longer they tried. When the time was right, Kasche grasped two plasma grenades at his belt, activating them, and throwing them towards the only possible entry-way of incoming guards. Kasche leaned up against the wall and kept his finger hot on the trigger. Just as the plasma grenades hit the ground, the blast doors burst open, and then-

Boom.

Kasche let loose hell upon the entrance, shooting round after round into the dust and debris. Two bodies dropped dead, and a third could barely be seen around the corner. Kasche stopped, and threw two electromagnetic discharges, which bounced off the wall and down the hall. Another explosion sounded, and yells sounded as more dropped dead. Kasche neared carefully, and he dropped to the floor, using a fallen body as apt cover. Taking a hand off of the front of the heavy assualt rifle and resting it on the corpse as a way to steady it, he used his free hand with his high powered pistol and quickly shot two more blinded mercenaries in the knee. As they too fell to the ground, Kasche hailed powerful blaster shots on their injured bodies, and did so with a grin. Another guard came from the other side of the hallway foolishly, and was quickly shot down, surprised that his adversary was positioned on the ground.

With his free hand, Kasche threw a couple more plasma grenades down, which result in more explosions. Kasche got up carefully and dropped his heavy assault rifle. It was a good weapon, but this was an enclosed area, and the finale called for some offensive from the blue team. Kasche drew his vibrosword and his trusty pistol, for a moment, he waited, his eyes closed, and a mental timer going in his head. His trained ears listened carefully, and then he heard the careful little tinks that were footsteps. He waited a moment more, judging where it might be. He still did not open his eyes. And as the little tinks neared, Kasche tiptoed down the side of the wall, and as the man emerged, he was impaled in the torso. Withdrawing the blade, Kasche somersaulted into the room and quickly shot down the last remaining mercenaries without looking, but with hearing alone.

A groan sounded behind him as the stabbed mercenary still showed signs of life, and still without opening his eyes or even turning his head, the vibrosword made one vicious slash into the man's chest. Kasche opened his eyes.

"Never underestimate the skill of a Jakelian." he muttered under his breath.

He quickly headed back to follow the Operator and then assist him in his own job, if it had not already been done already.

Myn dropped down from the ceiling, he had completed his secondary objective and now it was time to take control of the ship. He looked around at all the bodies, scorch marks, and debris. Despite the fact that most people who would be angry at the state of the hallway on the ship their were planning on stealing. Myn couldn't help but smile and laugh as he said. "Nice work, just don't bust up the ship too badly. We are trying to take it as our own after all. I count thirteen and two droids. Which means there's still eight droids and twelve guards. Not to mention I hacked the security feed and Yirim brought a couple of his own commandos with him. By the way, how'd the weapon handle? I don't really go loud, preferring stealth and breaking necks, but when I do I like the Death Heavy."

Kasche lifted it up. "It's trusty, that's for sure. Definitely a grade-A tool you got here."

"You down for this round? You missed all the fun."

He heard sounds around the corner, and turned around, lifting up his Death Heavy.

"These guys really know how to die. They do it better than bounty hunters, to be honest."

Kasche turned with a smile on his face.

"Is it cannibalism for a mercenary to kill other mercenaries?"

He shrugged.

"Guess that doesn't matter. They ain't professionals anyway."

He saw a flicker of moment, and Kasche fired upon it, hearing a growl in pain as one of them made contact. Kasche took one of his plasma grenades, counted to two, and threw it into the hallway, to which it immediately exploded. The man shouted as he died. "Oops." Kasche said. "Sorry for your ship, explosions are my favorite pasttime."

"Oh, forget about it. It just gives me an excuse to paint it a different color." Myn said with a smile. "And I knew they would prove no challenge, their just thugs with guns playing at mercenaries. As for the fun I'm having a lot of it. Snapping necks, hacking systems, and being invisible are my favorite pastimes. But once we reach some other guards I'll show you another thing I like to do."

They made their way down the decimated corridor and towards the bridge. They walked for only a few minutes before they encountered two guards waiting as they rounded the corner, but before they could get of a shot they fell to the ground. A vibroknife in one's eye and the other's throat. Myn was an unmatched knife fighter and was incredible at throwing them as well. He could throw a dozen in the blink of an eye...and his enemies usually never opened their eyes again. Myn went and got his knives and then stopped before turning another corner, stopping the mercenary. "The barracks are up ahead. The way the ship is designed you have to pass right by them to get to the bridge."

he tapped into the security feed again and scouted it. It seemed there were ten guards and the last eight war droids just waiting for them. the mercenary was out of grenades, but Myn had a trick up his sleeve. He hacked into the security systems and looked through the commands. He soon found what he was looking for and smiled. Pressing a few buttons, he released the gas defenses on their own forces. In a few seconds the guards were dead. All that was left were the eight droids. He turned and looked to the man, "Everyone always thinks gas defenses are useful and they are. Just for a hacker. All that's left are the droids. By all means...after you."

Kasche nodded and quickly got a breathing device from the emergency supplies closet. He moved over to the hall which they were coming and made a large noise of five blaster shots. Holstering the Death Heavy, the Jakelian drew electromagnetic grenades, three in each hand, and walked down to the hall. He opened the door to the hall an inch and threw the grenades inside. They clinked the metallic wall and an electric shock could be heard as more circuits were blown and thuds of droids hitting the floor. Grabbing his pistol, he entered the hall, pleased to see droids fried on the floor, not all eight. However, two more entered, and Kasche promptly shot them both three times in the midsection. They fell, and Kasche shot them both in their circuitry.

He continued down into the barracks and shot down the remaining two.

"All clear."

"Well, alright then." Myn walked through the gas still lingering in the air. He was able to hold his breath for a very long time and in no time they had picked their ways over the dead bodies, heading down the long hallway to the bridge. They reached the doorway only to find the blast doors had been sealed to prevent entry, Myn snorted and quickly went to work slicing the palm scanner next to the doorway. Within a few minutes he was nearly there and silently signalled to the mercenary to move to the other side. The door opened and instantly there was a hail of crimson bolts. Myn looked to the mercenary, "Well. I think they know we're here."

He then whispered so only they can here. "Remember, we want Yirim alive. We should probably leave his men alive too. Let me do the talking."

A gruff voice yelled in Basic. "Alright! Come out with your hand up and I'll end it quickly! "

"We don't need to fight!" Called out Myn. "After all, what could they possibly be paying you for such loyalty? Half of his organization was just arrested or killed. Tell you what. I work for an organization that is very intrested in you. We can offer whatever you want; money, women, ships."

"I may be a mercenary," said the voice of Yirim. "But I have honor. So I have to kill you, it's what I've been paid for."

"Whatever their offer," called Myn. "I'll beat it. I like living. Besides, I have the leader of the Legion out here. You've heard of the Legion I'm sure and he wiped out all the guards himself. I just followed the carnage. So how much is your honor worth? Limitless wealth? Or your life and that of your men?"

There were a few minutes of silence with the whispers of Trandoshan language debating. Myn was about to signal to Kasche to just take them out when Yirim called out, "Alright. You have a deal. But I expect to get whatever I want, whenever I want. I'll work exclusively for you. You can have this damned ship."

Myn smiled to the mercenary commander. "That wasn't so hard. But, um, you go in first. Just in case."

Kasche immediately leaped to side when he saw gunfire, and he had already redrew his Death Heavy and vibrosword, ready to kill and ready to kill a lot.

"Well. I think they know we're here."

"You think?" the mercenary said mockingly.

"I'll beat it. I like living. Besides, I have the leader of the Legion out here—"

"The Black Legion." Kasche whispered in correction.

"Of Krieg."

"—You've heard of the Legion I'm sure and he wiped out all the guards himself. I just followed the carnage. So how much is your honor worth? Limitless wealth? Or your life and that of your men?"

At their reply, Kasche smiled back. He wasn't exactly sure if Myn had the same thought as he was having. His thought, really, was that the Operator was going to stun dear Yirim while he was off-guard and take his goons. That's what he would do at this point. Yirim may have slayed two hundred and thirteen space pirates, but Kasche could easily slay one Yirim. Did that double his body count or some other kind of score multiplier? Kasche would say hell yes. But Yirim was off-limits.

He would just have to wait and see.

"Sorry about the full title things," said Myn to Kasche. He walked into the bridge command center where five trandoshans waited. One was bigger and in fearsome black body armor. Myn smiled pleasantly. "Well, I must say I'm surprised. I half-expected to be shot. Glad to see I was wrong. I assume you have the datapad with the codes to operate the codes to control the ship right?"

Yirim slowly handed it over after pulling it from a pocket in his armor. Myn nodded his head in thanks and went over to command console. Once he entered the code all of the systems opened up; Jedispawn was now property of Komad Industries. He turned to Yirim and his men, holding out five datapads. "These are your contracts stating you will only work for us, protect our secrets, etc. Look it over and then sign it. You have plenty of time because you're coming with me and the ship to our compound. Send your men to clean up the mess we made."

"Now for you,"
said Myn turning to the mercenary commander. He pulled out a credit chip with the payment for the man. "Thanks for all of your help, but we're done here. Our new Trandoshan friends will keep me company, don't worry I can always handle myself if they try something. We're about to embark for the Unknown Regions and unless you wish to come with us, depart the ship. Our business is concluded. But if we ever have need of mercenaries we will now think of the Black Legion of Krieg first. Well done."

Kasche half-jumped out, poised with a gun to shoot, but he was surprised to actual see Myn handing out datapads and hiring them. With an eyebrow raised, he holstered his weapons and watched with disappointment. When the Operator had finished and turned back to him, KAsche gave him a smile and accepted the credits with glee.

"Thanks a lot, Operator."

He patted the weapon on his back.

"For the weapon, too."

He shrugged and held out his arms.

"And like I said, we're the best mercenary group in the galaxy. If Komad can afford it, and it's always a job well done."

Kasche almost turned to leave, but stopped. "Oh, I almost forgot—"

"That time, when I butchered the Hutt's men. I cut my way into one of the fattest Hutt's mansion, found myself a comfy room and waited. And then, I killed every single bounty hunter in the building that tried to follow me in there. One by one, just killed them all. Didn't even need to kill the big Hutt. He hung himself before I could touch him."

He winked and turned around.

"See you around, cat-man."

A job well-done. Well-paid for, too.
