Good evening, friends.

I am seeking out a Padawan for my Jedi, Larik Novan.

Larik is a balanced Jedi, having served the Order for over twenty years. His specialization is the manipulation of his environment, however, relying heavily on powers like Force Stealth, Force Cloak, Force Illusion, etc. While he has relatively little experience at dueling, he fought with the GA and is good at chopping up people who don't have lightsabers. Overall, though, he is a balanced Jedi Master, and will be able to support your Padawan no matter what they want to learn.

All that being said, being the Faction Leader and RL eats up a lot of my time, and I am often slow when it comes to my response times. But we can have lots of fun and do cool things, and Larik is the GM, so that's a cool flair. I do foresee me having more time in the future, however, and a more flexible schedule. Relatively speaking, that is.

If you're interested, post below with a link and a description of your Padawan, what they're about, and what they'd like to learn.

Cheers,
TAC

In case of TL;DR, see below

Old man seeking an 18-19 year old female Padawan who he can spend time with, all in the name of furthering the Order. Must be able to put up with slightly awkward and spontaneous cookouts, and be acceptable of minor levels of sexual harassment. Serious inquiries only. (And by serious, I mean seriously be an 18-19 year old female)

Besides the sexual harassment part, this about summarizes my past experiences with Padawan, yes.

Except Loogo Vsil.

He was a snake.

Asher Lichaj.

He's a big idiot with a lot of Control-based powers.

He would like to learn how to wear shoes that don't have velcro, how to pronounce midichlorian, and all the other basic fluff information required for him to keep his athletic scholarship to the Jedi order.

Maybe Grand Master Novan could help Miranda find out who her father is?

Her father is dead.

Killed by the Grand Master, a Jedi just like he was.

Well, I mean if you are still free, sometime soon my character Dyson will be rejoining the order as a Padawan.

I'm not sure how well matched they might be, but I decided I'd throw in a little something something for this thread anyway. I'll tell you about Dyson, and you tell me if anything sticks out to you.

-------------------------
-------------------------

Here is Dyson's story so far:

Before the fall, Dyson was a pretty arrogant and rebellious youth, growing up for the most part as a street rat on the party planet Zeltros. His parents were acrobats, and his grandfather was a Jedi, but all died when he was relatively young, leaving him to rely on his own skills until a Jedi master found him using the force to cheat while gambling with dice at parties.

He was brought along to the order, and served as the Padawan of Mira Albion, the Jedi that eventually turned Sith after going blind for (the second?) time. He spent a decent amount of time training on Tython, where he socialized with a lot of Padawan's, but eventually moved back to the Coruscanti Temple some time before the fall.

When Coruscant fell into chaos, Dyson and a group of younglings/padawans attempted to flee aboard his personal starship, only to be stopped by his former Master Mira Albion, who was now on the Sith side of the invasion. They had a very short encounter, in which Dyson got metal shrapnel plunged into his gut. His former master had a turn of heart, and let Dyson and the younglings escape, healing his wound the best she could before sending him on his way.

Sometime later, after several jumps into deep space, Dyson found himself in the Senton Medical Research facility. He blacked out before they docked, and what happened there for the better part of the decade is a blur of surgery and other things. Mostly, he was kept in cryo stasis, as to not alert other doctors on board or Imperial inspectors to his existence.

Eventually, after the ten years in which the time-skip occured, Dyson awoke to find the facility in ruin and in the midst of an Imperial boarding procedure. Most, if not all the staff in the facility were dead at that point, and Dyson was hunted down and cornered in the bowels of the heap of space rubble. There, he discovered that the person in charge of the invasion was none other than a former lover, Zan Balatine, who had been recruited by the Sith when Coruscant fell. Zan forced him to choose between the Jedi or Death, and Dyson, unaware of the state of the galaxy outside of that hallway could do nothing but accept, and was soon after carted away to Korriban.

Though he was happy to be reunited with his former lover, he soon found himself taken by an extreme want to understand what happened to the Jedi, the younglings in his care, and other aspects of the galaxy. He didn't dare pursue such questions on Korriban, and was thus reduced to a paranoid heap while Zan was away. Some of the only relevant things experienced during his time there was managing to find his junked astromech droid on Raxus Prime, where he was able to somewhat salvage it, at least enough to activate it.

During the very recent invasion of Korriban, Dyson used the ensuing chaos to steal an aging shuttle in the temple hangar with his astromech droid. The droid itself was damaged in the process but they managed to escape the invasion and jump to Arda-2. There, Dyson found a young woman named Elana Vasmith, a pretty decent mechanic who has worked at her father's shop her whole life and wants to see the greater galaxy.

After trying unsuccessfully to rob her, using his empathic abilities and pheromones, the two manage to negotiate a deal, in which Dyson carts her to wheever he is going and in return she will attempt to fully restore his astromech. Right now, they are on Boonta pretty much doing just that.

--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------

Basically, the plan is to eventually get him into neutral or Hutt space, where he can find someone who can point him either toward the rebellion or the Jedi, where he can hopefully then reintegrate into the order as a Padawan, join Exile Squadron, ect.

As far as promise as a Padawan goes, here are some basic points about him that you might find interesting.

-Dyson, though built a lot in personality, is pretty much a blank slate as far as it comes to skill as a Jedi, and has a lot to learn from a potential master

-While a bit humbled from all of the tragedy in his life, he is still a bit rambunctious, at odds with completely authority, and rather bold and brash in his words, which could lead to some interesting roleplay, considering Larik's position

-Dyson is a practitioner of both a rare force ability and a rare lightsaber form, and might be able to even teach Larik a thing or two. Force Scream/Below was taught to him by Mira Ablion, as well as the aspects of the dual bladed lightsaber form Ataru. He fights wielding a duel bladed lightsaber, and is currently equipped with a Sith training saberstaff

-He has very relevant information that can be introduced to master/apprentice roleplay. He knows enough about Korriban from his months there to know it is a major sith area of learning, and also has the location of it on his shuttles limited hyperspace nav console. He also would be able to bring the news of internal Sith strife, or at least the signs of it, to anyone willing to listen to his story.

-Right now he is an Imperial Fugitive in Sith Space, ad is very jumpy and paranoid, which could be interesting if Larik bumps into him during this point in his life.

-Dyson still has a lot of inner turmoil and strife to work out, which includes but is not limited too the changed galaxy around him, the betrayal of his former master, the sort-of betrayal of his former lover, discovering all the foggy memories that happened aboard the medical facility, and discovering the fate of the younglings that had been put under is care. All of this could lead to a lot of character development for him, and interesting rp for anyone who helps him work these things out.

Anyway, hopefully some of this sounds interesting to you. If not, then cheers to whichever padawan gets this unique roleplay opportunity!

My Paddie needs a master.

He basically wants to learn stealthy Force abilities, such as Force stealth, along with other abilities that can help in combat.

I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring too:
Clara Firestorm

Basically her family has been in and out of the order for centuries. I roleplayed an ancestor of hers back during the Hutt Wars. She's a kind soul that's kind of lost her way, but she's certain of her desire to defeat the Sith and become a great Jedi Knight. She just needs a Master to guide her there.
