Goods to Market

Tanaab Space
BXWHaoKl.jpg

Telag held the ship steady as they neared the agriworld known as Tanaab. There didn't seem to be a lot of traffic (or any at all) around. He figured that he would have enough time to do a debriefing. From the info they were giving, it would be some time before any target freighters would move offworld. Stretching his back a bit, he reached for the ship controls and drew it into a halt. He cut the thrusters causing the ship to drift slowly in a similar orbit that of the planet, but far out of the range of Tanaab's gravitational pull. "Stay here, Ku'el. I need to do a debriefing. We don't need any possible patrol ships trying to intercept us. The mission would be considered a failure," he commanded to one of the Mandalorians that was standing in the cockpit. Ku'el nodded and stood at his post.

Getting to Tanaab had been easy. There hadn't been any disturbances. He wasn't sure to expect and wished he had more intel on what was actually consisted of the cargo. Though, he figured it was probably food or crops to sell to other core worlds. The fact that they got here in one piece was a good thing. During his lifetime, he had spent a lot of time in the outskirts of the galaxy. This is one of the few times he actually been in the Inner Rim. Telag wasn't sure how well this mission would turn out. He figured that he would talk to his teammates and made sure they understood what was at stake.

Taking a sigh and lighting a cigar, he started to make his way to the intercom of the YG-300 Light Freighter. "Alright everyone, we need to meet in the Communication Suite and make sure every one is in costume." he stated firmly. The small crew that he had would be enough for what they needed. Before he made it to the Communication Suite, one of the other never Mandalorian recruits stopped him. "Telag, the other freighter has made it's way into the Tanaab Space and is getting close to the proximity of the ship," the Mandalorian said eagerly.

"Good, Malrun. Make sure that they're suited up before we make the holocall to them," Telag responded as he tugged a bit on the basic gray armor [Multipurpose Mobile Combat Armor] they were given for the mission. He figured the armor was probably commandeered off another vessel. The armor felt too light compared to his CCT armor, but it was what they needed to look the part. It was only five of them per ship and it was all they needed. Telag set his helmet down on a table on the table in the Communication Suite. He took a deep slow heave of his cigar. He wished that he was able to have a drink before the mission, but he lucked out this time. All he had was a cigar and a bit of patience. He would wait until the whole team gathered before making the call to the other ship. The mission was too important to leave out any details or for someone to miss anything.

((OOC: Well, I hope that's good enough. PM to let me know if I need to make changes. EDIT: Alright that should be better))

Never bring you home on mission i said...
...if it gets damaged how will you repair it i said...
...now i must stay on those makeshift bunks inside a corellian freighter, fantastic

Thyr quills were glowing with dark shades, showing his emotion inside that lightweight combat armor.
Those things should be issued to walker pilots only...
As he stopped thinking out loud, a intercom message arrived;
Alright everyone, we need to meet in the Communication Suite and make sure every one is in costume.
He grunted as he slowly got up from his makeshift bed, taking his Customized Multipurpose Mobile Combat Armor and the rest of his disguise equipment, consisting of simply a mercy stun gun, one of his power maces and a pair of repulsorboots before going toward the Comm Suite.
It was a minute walk or even less, but he hated all of it.
As he arrived on the Suitte, he saw his comrade Telag smoking a cigar, and grunted as he sat down, the armor felt more as clothing than real tactical equipment, it was slithly too light for his taste, but his quills returned to their usual red, expressing his return to a more calm state.
So, who should arrive before starting the briefing?

"That would be me..." An individual wearing green CCT armor walks in with the rest. Thrit had gotten lost trying to find the Communication Suite. He had asked for directions but some ere either busy or had forgotten where it was. This was his second mission with the Dominion, and he still looked forward to sharpening his skills some more.Thrit simply stood and waited for them to proceed with the briefing.

As his other comrades appeared, Telag took a second glance as the last Mandalorian came into the communication suite wearing green armor. Telag's cigar almost fell out of his mouth. He crossed his arms before saying anything. They were not supposed to be wearing their Mandalorian Beskar'gam. It was a bit unsure if this guy didn't get the memo or he purposely was changing his armor later. Telag rubbed his temples before speaking, "You with the green armor, did you get the memo? We're wearing the MMCA armor not your Beskar'gam. Anyway, Malrun make the holocall!"

The young Mandalorian issued the settings of the holocommunicator on the table as a group of disguised men and woman were dressed in their MMCA Armor appeared before them in the holoprojection. Taking a deep heave of his cigar he removed it from his mouth and began fondling it between his fingers. He would try to make this as quick as possible due to the fact one of them need to change into costume. There was also really no way for them to exactly know what would happen next.

"Alright, listen well," he started, "There should be two to three ships leaving the planet's surface. Our job is to hijack one of the ships and take 'Most' of the cargo. Though, we are not taking the ship as a whole. The whole point is that we're trying to send message, so no casualties are allowed. Stun weapons only. If push comes to shove, punch or shove them if necessary. Speak any language other than Mando'a. Got it?" If we get any wind of hostile vessels we will pull out immediately. We will double dock onto the freighter. It's risky, but we need to move the freighter's stock onto separate ships to keep either from getting weighted down. My ship will dock first and your ship, Roius will be the second. If they come at you with weapons, disarm them the best you can. That's all I have any questions?"

Telag hoped theire wouldn't be any questions. He covered as much as he could, but it almost sounded like a lecture than a briefing. Telag took a quick inhale of his cigar and tapped the ashes onto the floor.

"I do. Where do I get a MMCA armor?" Thrit never got any 'memo' or whatever they call it nowadays. He probably was asleep or pacing in his quarters. He didn't know the real importance of having another set of armor. Was there something wrong with the set he was wearing? He didn't think so. His armor had never failed him before, so he was curious about that. But said armor was need for this mission and he didn't have it. Thrit wanted to be as useful on the field as possible. He couldn't stay out of the game any longer than he already has.

Thyr wanted to facepalm so hard on that moment, his quills glowed a deep night blue as he removed his helmet,
One, you had one job, this is a covert operation, and running in mando gear is not so covert fella, you should be able to find your disguise in your quarters, anyway
At last, the Mando turned toward the one that looked like the more professional of the bunch, probably the guy that would be leading the group for this mission.
Two questions, do we have any information on the security levels of the ship? and what about the ship itself? as you know, boarding a small freighter is a thing, but if that's a Food-Stock Hauler that's a whole other thing.
He loaded up his Stun Gun as he asked the two question's, he was ready to go.

Telag raised an eyebrow as he placed the cigar between his thin lips and puffed out a cloud of smoke. He sighed as he turned all the way around toward the late comer. He wasn't frustrated, but he was a bit edgy. Like the Basaakith was ready to get this mission started. He hoped that the newcomer would get his stuff together fast. Telag wouldn't put up with mess ups and slip ups. This mission could go sideways really quick.

"There are also extra sets of armor in a crate in the cargo bay on the bottom level of the freighter," he responded to Thrit.

He started scratching at his beard before the Bassakith asked two questions. The first pertained to the security levels of the ship and the type of ship it was. Telag promply removed the cigar from his mouth, but not before releasing another cloud of smoke from his lungs.

"I apologize for not being as clear as possible. The ship we're looking for should be a Voruda-class Heavy Freighter. There maybe a Food-Stock Hauler leaving the planet, but we're not going after that due to the amount of fire power we would draw. To also clarify things further, when I mean hostile ships, I mean any gunships. According to what we have, it shouldn't be any escorts at this time of day. Though, the downside is we're going to have to lay down some heavy fire on the guns to disable them. As far as security goes, we're not sure. We know it only takes one to two personnel to operate it. Our sources from landing spots have said that there have been approximately six to nine armed personnel. The personnel's exact location is unknown," he explained.

Malrun looked at Telag before speaking, "Telag, you may need to go into more detail concerning docking on to the ship at the same time. Especially, with there being two separate levels."

Telag sighed again before speaking more on it. Malrun then typed on the holoprojector to pull up a projection of the ships design. "The top of ship is where most of the crew will be. Both ships will dock on to the bottom level where the cargo bay is located on the starboard side. Roius's group will be on the opposite side of the ship. Our group will break through and negate any possible hostiles with any stun weapons. Then we'll need someone to seal off the door or doors leading from the top level to the bottom level. That way we will be mostly unopposed. Hopefully, that cleared things up. Malrun is our slicer and he will shut down their communication system through a sub level computer."

He was glad that the Bassakith asked the questions he did because he almost left out a crucial part to the success of the mission. Telag looked at Malrun with a stern look before waving his hand in the air to end the transmission. More smoke travel into the air as he took a couple of puffs before throwing the stump of the cigar onto the floor and stamping it out. Telag put on his helmet and then checked his stun gun. Everything seemed alright for the time being. "Alright, lets get a move on. We have a ship to wait for. Prepare yourselves and hope this goes to plan. Glory to Mand'alor."

"No, that wouldn't work"
The Bassakith got up from his seat as he spoke, he knew something was off with the plan, and he proceeded to explain it to the rest of the heist group.
"First off, all four guns are turreted, damaging them with blaster or missile fire would only fail the mission, no kills remember?.
Also, Core Goods are nothing to joke about, the engines will most surely be upgraded and up to most modern freighters, if we don't take them by surprise we will be outrun"

He started to gesticulate as he continued speaking, some movements feel like they were part of some kind of military code, but others were just random hand gestures
"Then you said the extra personnel is all armed right? then they are part of Core Goods security, they will attack us on sight with lethal weapons, the bastards would prefer to die on the job than facing punishment from their superiors, if we lose the element of surprise at any given moment, we lost"
At last, he looked at the rest of the group, he now knew why this didn't feel like a mission, that was because information was scarce and the rest of his team didn't feel like experts on under-the-table jobs...
...this was gonna be a long day.

Thrit had one of the MMA armors and examined it. He was a little adverse to putting on new armor just to complete a mission in a certain way. Thrit was tempted to do the mission the old fashioned way: Unarmored. Not that he couldn't be stealthy without it, it's just that the color scheme of his CCT armor would probably give him away depending on the area he was in.

He had to remind himself that he couldn't be as reckless as he wanted. Not this time. He was loosing his way, so he had to adjust himself first before doing anything dangerous. Well. Even more dangerous. Thrit begins to discard his CCT armor and weapons, then dons the MMA armor. It was a little tricky to put on at first but he managed to get it one. It felt so out of place putting on armor he had never worn before, but he couldn't be crabby now. They had a mission to complete. And success is the only option.

Sighing, Telag faced palmed through his helmet. It was going to be a long day indeed. He was about to flip his lid, if someone would question him again. The job was simple to him. It wasn't the first time he done something like this. He had been in many situations where trust was needed and this was one of them. He hated the fact that at least one of them didn't trust the plan.

"Yes, it will work. I've done something similar to this before. Firing at the turrets will only short them out not kill the person controlling them. They're turreted from the bridge. Plus, the vessel we're currently in doesn't even have missiles. Surprise is the whole reason we're out here that's why we're flanking. To also be assured, the heavy freighter only has a civilian grade shield generator. There's no way we can hijack it without damaging the shield generator and the ship itself. Within the first few shots, we'll move up to the heavy freighter. Push come to shove we damage one of the thrusters. There's no way in kriffing hell that slow hunk of durasteel can out run us. We're Mandalorians not those poor excuse for a soldiers that the GAR has. Core Goods security aren't kriffing soldiers anyway. They're just overrated armed guards. From my experience, they're probably only be one or two that will be in the cargo hold. It doesn't take many personnel to run the heavy freighter anyway. It's not like we're going up against a whole battalion. Not enough to be much of a threat. Stun guns will do the job just fine. Make sure you take cover if you're too afraid to get hit. If you have a better plan then state it. Don't shut down something without coming up with a better option," Telag ranted.

As he turned toward the door to make his way back to the cockpit, Roius yelled out, "Sir, a ship has been spotted exiting the atmosphere!"

"It's not the plan, its the little details that make this reckless"
The Basaakith stood up while speaking, reaching for his equipment before moving toward the door behind them.
"Cutting Comms while inside? They will contact security ships right when the first shot lands, the slow hunk of durasteel is just 5 MGLT slower than us with a basic engine, theirs is surely upgraded, so the situation is the opposite of before.
Also you never underestimate an enemy, they can have some aces up their sleeves.
At last, we were supposed to use Reclaimed Pirate Frigates, not little haulers, that's what im most concerned about."

As he checked himself one last time, he turned his head toward Telag one, removing previously his helmet and revealing an...
...Unimpressed face at his enraged responce.
"The Ship is in orbit, we will have to stick to this plan, remember, we need atleast 80 metric tons of cargo divided on our two ships"
He turned once again toward the door, putting his helmet on and waiting the others before going out of the room.

Thrit didn't know what all to expect but that was fine. All he needed to do was follow along with everyone else...Bah! Sounded uninteresting, but necessary. If he was going to reacquaint himself with his race, he was going to have to follow their lead. Hel awaited along side the various other commandos present. Thrit had put his helmet on and awaited for what was to come next. From the way it's sounding, it looks to be a fairly intense situation. To him anyway. He didn't know but he knew this mission, like many other, is very urgent.
