Imperial Prison Camp, Mimban

The Prisoner (@Nightfall) sat slumped over in a small interrogation room. Arms cuffed to the center table, which was bolted to the ground, legs cuffed to the chair beneath her. Her unconscious body had been stripped of weapons and personal effects, which now sat in a secured and locked storage box in the observation room, her clothing replaced with an Imperial prison uniform. Jarek stood in the observation room, observing. The stun bolts that he had shot her with had not yet worn off, but would be soon. Her compatriots who attacked the camp had abandoned her to her fate, and her life was now in the two Sith's hands.

"The troops report all clear, all the other hostiles have fled the camp." Jarek informed his companion, his fellow Sith Varyn Rask (@Phoenix). The attack had been unprecedented, a lightning raid on the Mimban work camp for...what? The reasons where unclear but one thing was certain, the attackers had been after information. What that information was they had yet to find out. A small alarm beeped on the observation monitor, indicating the prisonser's vitals were beginning to normalize, indicating that she would soon regain consciousness. "She's waking up."

Varyn supposed the Force had led him here for this exact reason. His ship had been repaired and refueled, which meant nothing technically held him here now, except what was in this room. The prisoner, and Jarek. The two Sith hadn't run into one another since Coruscant, and Varyn had heard of the fate that Demolly met since then. He wondered how the Sith was holding up, but then, Sith were supposed to feed off of anger weren't they?

He glanced up from the datapad as Jarek said that the woman was waking up. Perhaps they'd find out why she was here, then. The datapad she'd brought with her was what the assassin was poring over, piecing together that it was looking for some sort of files in the control center, but he wasn't sure what type... or why. Was she a smuggler or a criminal trying to break out an old partner? Perhaps an old flame? No, it had to be more organized than that since she'd not come alone. Clearly whoever her partners were had less honor than criminals since they'd left her to die at the drop of a hat.

The assassin set the datapad down on the table and leaned back into the corner, arms folded. There were several ways he could see this unfolding, but that would all depend on her reactions. If she played it smart, she might survive. If she chose another path, things might not go so well. The two Sith would sniff out a lie, that was one thing the Force did very well. And then there was torture... well, hopefully it wouldn't come to that. @Nightfall @Arclight

She didn't know how long she'd been out as she came to, the slight mumble of voices around her as her head lulled side to side as her whole mind and body rebooted, blinking rapidly in the light of the room. She couldn't quite handle it at first, vocalising her discomfort. But as soon as she moved her body she found out some things, some more painfully than others.

Firstly, her arms and legs were bound and held down. If she even thought it possible for her to move she couldn't if she tried.

Secondly, that every part of her ached. She remembered the stun shots hitting her, the writhing and pain before blacking out, the faces of Sith standing over her as she'd tried to run. Aila could feel it, feel every muscle, bone, and joint as she felt the blood pump and her limbs reawaken. By no means a pleasant experience.

Thirdly, she had not escaped the Sith. It would have been stupid to think otherwise, but now she had it confirmed before her eyes. And it damn well frightened her. She gasped, throwing herself back against the chair, only sending more bouts of pain through her body as she realised for futile it was to try and move.

Aila steeled her self the best she could. Never before in her life had she found herself anywhere like this, at the mercy of such people,

"Where am I? How long has it been?" her voice was soft, shaken. For now all she could ask for was information, try to orient herself as best she could before the inevitable.

Jarek watched through the one way viewport as the woman roused herself., groaning in discomfort. Alone in the room, she must have been extremely disoriented, asking questions to thin air. Her words echoed in the chamber, and were picked up by sensors that echoed her words to the pair of Sith observers. Confusion was evident in her voice. He almost felt sorry for her, and that was a problem. Perhaps Jarek wasn't the right person for this interrogation, too soft, too kind.

But there was within him someone who was. Exhaling in trepidation. Jarek opened himself up to the force. To the Darkside.

And he hated it. Shuddering, The darkside's cold chill seemed to immerse his entire being, radiating from his core. Already golden eyes clouding with an almost feral looking hunger in them before being sealed off from view as he brought his helmet down upon his head. "I'm going in." He stated simply before turning to enter the room. The metal face-mask of his helmet would smile eerily at the woman as he entered the interrogation room, moving to stand before her at the table. Ignoring her questions, he examined her.

Fear, pain, confusion. All these things radiated from the woman. Things that could be used to their advantage. "Your allies have abandoned you to your fate." His words cold, voice even and unfeeling. "They left you behind, without a second look back." Circling the table to stand behind the woman, he put a hand on her shoulder. "Surely they knew the fate they abandoned you to..." Gloved fingers digging into her skin as his grip tightened, before releasing.

"But it does not have to be that way, if you tell us what we need to know."

Varyn stood beside Jarek as the woman began to come to her senses. He could almost feel her thoughts radiating off of her, and it was a potent enough mixture for the Sith to feed off of if he so chose. But he didn't want to. As alluring as the thought of leeching her of her pain, anger, and fear might have been, there were dangers to it as well. Dangers to Varyn, and many others as well.

Okay, he said as Jarek said that he was going in. It would be interesting to watch how the woman reacted to him. His clothes were designed to intimidate, and they did just that. The woman would be able to feel the fear seeping into her as he entered.

As for Jarek: there was unrefined power in the man, and the Dark Side flared loudly from him. Varyn could sense it when Jarek opened himself to the darkness. For the briefest moment, everything in the Force seemed to bend toward him. The spider web-like fibers of the Force flapped as if pulled by a gusting breeze as the man's presence sucked in everything around it. It was a feeling Varyn had never experienced before, and it drained the heat from his body. There was something malevolent lurking just below the surface of his partner, and it wasn't the normal thrill of using the Dark Side. It was older...

He caught a glimpse of it for only a moment before it vanished, hiding itself once more, but Varyn found his thoughts lingering on this even as the investigation began. There was a whispering voice in his mind that warned him of one word: danger. @Nightfall @Arclight

Aila's breathing was through the roof, short, sharp, and shallow breaths pumping through her lungs as she felt the force radiate from the Sith that entered. She only hazily recognised the man as he paced toward her, throwing emotions at her mind, battering any defences she might have had. And she felt it all the more cruelly, though she could not place why. The manipulation of the force rolling over her mind, throwing waves of hate upon her, she did her best to hold against them though, for now.

Aila winced as the mans fingers dug into her shoulder, unable to move away so bound as she was. Part of her just wanted to cry, to just let it flood out, because the part of her mind still focused couldn't be sure if she knew what they wanted, if they'd let her go,

"I don't know where they went though, I don't know what you want. It was just a job, please" she managed to stammer out, her fear hardly hidden. She hadn't been prepared for this. So much went into the mission, into knowing when and where and what to look for, the thought of capture was so far from her mind that when now she faced it, she had no idea what to do. She'd been cornered by a Sith before, but the suddenness of it had kept her mind alert, ready to run. This was so much worse, trapped like an animal by tormentors who held all the power,

"What can I say? What can I say..." she managed to stymie her fears for a moment as she looked to the Sith that had found her first, his visage making her want to shy away from it all.

Fear poured off the woman as he released her shoulders, cutting into her words as they stuttered out of her mouth. Normally Jarek was not the kind of Sith to savor fear and suffering. But right now Jarek was not normal. The chilling touch of the darkside was upon him, the monster that lay within let loose from its cage. And it savored the fear.

"Names." His voice echoed out from beneath his mask, the words cold and piercing. Seeming to lack emotion. It was strange to Jarek, drawing on the darkside outside of combat. His thoughts swam and faded, his words and actions coming instinctively. He could feel her mind reeling at his presence, the touch of his aura. She radiated fear, her mind in almost a panic. And her presence. There was something there, an energy within her that was... Delicious.

Circling, he dragged a glove hand across her back and shoulder before grabbing her chin as he leaned forwards next to her, turning her face to meet his mask, her terrified eyes mere inches from his smiling metal visage. "You can begin with yours." Underneath the mask Jarek's face twisted as he exerted his mind upon the infiltrator, his cold presence seeping into her mind as he latched onto rising thoughts in her mind, pushing forth her fear of the consequences of dishonesty.

Behind his back a fist clenched as he fought down the rising hunger. The urge to consume gnawing at his innards.

Aila’s breathing remained shallow, hardly drawing in a whisper of air as she fought to stop the fear overtaking her, to not let it leap out in a scream as the Sith ran across her back and took her face in his hands. That left her head to get lighter, for everything to feel a little worse than it really did. But she hadn’t been prepared for this. Not today. Not after all the planning, all thoughts she’d had of their break-in. They were crushed inside her, as the Sith asked her name,

“Aila, Aila Roas” she swallows uncomfortably as she spoke, as if the words stuck in her throat. She had opened the same way when she had been cornered by another Sith long ago, though now it felt like an age. She had been scared then, terrified. And yet, she’d survived.

She’d survived.

If she had then then she’d survive this too,

“I’m sure you would have found out soon enough anyway” Aila steadied herself, trying to slep her breath as she looked into the mask, it’s blank expression almost more worrying than any a real face might have made, the energy emanating from within and rolling over her thoughts and skin. She could feel the words forcing their way out, the worry of it all, the fear of what might happen, it still remained, even if she was saner for the moment,

“I don’t, I don’t have much else... I’m sorry. They, the people with me, were secretive about it, didn’t want or share too much about who they were” she admitted. And in some ways it was true. She didn’t have too much to offer them, though she hadn’t yet spoken all she knew. Still though, the thought of speaking them allowed played on her mind, drawn by the figure before her.
