It's not actually for ROM :p Rom's short for Romolus, a character I played to a level of infamy on SWC. Everyone called me Rom for short and ten years later its still my online moniker.

And my answer still exposes me as a Super Nerd. Dang it.

Case in point, I'm guessing Romolus is a play on Romulus which is still pretty geeky if you're into Greek/Roman mythology and such (granted I did think of ROM at first :3)
