Garoosh is a timid man who doesn’t seek violence but will use it if necessary. He sometimes keeps to himself whenever he’s working on a project and won’t emerge for days on end. He pushes distractions to the back of his mind whenever he’s focused on a task and will only return to reality once the job is finished or he needs something. On the other hand, when he’s got no plan or projects, he goes to clubs and interacts with the people there. He lets his social nature speak for him and genuinely enjoys himself almost every time.
However, Garoosh isn’t squeaky clean. His technical habits and his determination to finish jobs has attracted a lot of attention from some less than credible individuals. He’s been contacted by underworld scum of all variety with offers and demands for his services. These encounters have left him a little nervous about his surroundings and more cautious about the people he interacts with. His usually passive nature makes him inclined to listen and comply with the criminals, making him a criminal in a special sense of the word.
BIOGRAPHY:
Garoosh Mepatilis was born on Tatooine as a slave to a local crime boss, Sconial Vlah. His life from childhood to his late teens was nothing but hardship and difficulties. But there were only 2 positive things he would take from the experience. One was that he was assigned to the Vlah’s technology department. He repaired damaged vehicles and droids, designed equipment, and managed all looted technology. The second positive factor, was his best friend, Verylith. She was an Amaran female with a cybernetic leg. Verylith worked as a beast tamer and merchant for Vlah. She and Garoosh would see each other when they weren’t working and occasionally they would meet for Garoosh to deliver a new collar or to repair an animal pen. They talked and instantly hit it off.
This friendship was the only thing that kept Garoosh going. He had planned dozens of escapes but he knew he was never going to leave as long as Verylith was still imprisoned. He kept his resentment locked up and put his focus and energy into his work. This went on for years. His time spent earned him all the time and determination he needed to escape from the compound, but until he could get Verylith out with him he knew he wasn’t going anywhere. In his spare time, he built a little pit droid from parts he'd gathered on scavenging runs. The droid came together with time and Garoosh named the droid, Data. They've been good friends since.
One night he decided to lay out the groundwork for an escape plan. He snuck out of his room by shorting out the electronic lock and went to work reprogramming the security drones. He worked quickly and managed to reprogram all of the robots using a custom built device. He had built the device earlier in the week and it was designed to scramble the droids detection instruments, allowing him to get close and work. Once he had gotten the machines on his side, he moved on to the organic half of the plan. Over the next few months he managed to convince nearly all the other slaves to join him in his uprising. The only person who was skeptical about his plans, was Verylith. She didn’t want to cause any trouble with Vlah or his goons because she knew they would respond with violence.
Things took a sudden and drastic turn when Verylith was severely injured by some of Vlah’s thugs. The details were nonexistent, except that Verylith was going to need intensive medical care. This pushed Garoosh over the edge. That night, he and the other slaves began to revolt. Garoosh took control of the security bots and set them loose on Vlah’s soldiers while the slaves began to escape in the variety of vehicles that the gang uses. A small battle erupted in the compound as Vlah’s men fought off their own security droids. Amidst the chaos, Garoosh got Verylith out of the base and to the nearest settlement, Data the droid packed in Garoosh's bag. At the settlement, Verylith was treated for her injuries. Garoosh knew that if Vlah survived the firefight, he’d come for Garoosh. He had to get off-world as soon as possible; but he knew that he had to leave Verylith behind. If he took her with him then he’d be putting her in danger. He decided to leave a note explaining the situation, and left for the spaceport. He didn’t care where he was going, as long as it wasn’t close to Tatooine. He hopped aboard a departing shuttle and left for the technological planet Coruscant.
He stepped off the shuttle and looked around. His new life was beginning, and he didn’t know where to start...
SKILLS:
Garoosh’s skills are primarily in the technology area. He can build, repair, disassemble, program, and splice anything, as long as it’s mechanical. He specializes in droids and complicated machinery. He hasn’t figured out piloting starships yet but he can maintain any ship created. He has minimal experience with blasters as he’s had to use them for testing his repairs or attachments.

He carries around a personally custom made datapad similar to the Versafunction88 pad. The datapad can wirelessly connect to terminals, other wireless systems like cameras, and droids. He can take control of these systems with a splicer application he designed himself. This datapad is his most prized possession. For the rare occasions of self-defense, he wears a pair of Combat Gloves whenever he leaves his home.
