Upon her clandestine return to Onderon, Zorya ventured into the Crescent Royale Casino. This marked a pivotal moment, her first foray into the world without the companionship of Svarog, her Drexl hatchling. The decision was strategic, as the casino's opulent decor and discerning clientele would not tolerate the presence of her formidable companion.

Through Zorya's yellow, red-rimmed eyes, the casino unfurled like a realm from a distant dream. Neon lights danced across her vision, casting a kaleidoscope of colors that reflected the diverse array of species and characters populating the establishment. The ambient sounds of the casino melded into a symphony of chance and excitement — the clatter of sabacc cards shuffling, the rhythmic rolling of chance cubes, the distinct chimes of tregald booths, and the anticipatory murmurs around the jubilee wheel.

As she meandered through the establishment, the scent of exotic spices and the sweet tinge of luxury spirits wafted through the air, each aroma intertwining with the next, creating a heady mix that was both intoxicating and disorienting. Her journey through the casino was not just a physical traverse but a sensory exploration, a testament to her heightened awareness as a Sith.

Zorya's yellow, red-rimmed Sith eyes narrowed as she passed the sabacc tables, where players were deeply engrossed in the game, their expressions ranging from intense concentration to barely concealed despair. She paused, observing the interplay of chance and strategy, her sharp mind dissecting their tactics without a word.

At the chance cubes station, the distinct sound of dice clattering against the hard surface echoed in her ears. She watched dispassionately as fortunes were made and lost on the whims of these small, seemingly innocuous objects.

Moving on, Zorya encountered the tregald booths. The thrill of the game was palpable here, the players' excitement and tension almost a physical presence in the enclosed space.

Finally, she reached the jubilee wheel, its giant structure dominating the area. The wheel spun with a mesmerizing fluidity, captivating Zorya momentarily. The suspenseful pause before the wheel halted and the win indicator pointed to the lucky number was a moment of pure, undiluted anticipation.

It was at this den of sin and chance feifi found herself, the girl had grown quite skilled (for a mere apprentice), but the mandalorian did not come to gamble away all her credits like a idiot, shit was rigged anyway, but to do one thing, practice, feifi had a fire that burned in her, a hunger to learn, ever since her father was killed, the girl wished to in her words "be the very best."

following lessons from her master, the acolyte had come to practice - no - to perfect her skill at sensing emotion, intentions, thoughts and the like, the girl intends to train her mind just as much as her master trained her body.

In the luminescent glow of the Crescent Royale Casino, Zorya navigated her way through the crowd, her eyes drawn back to the sabacc tables. Her intent was not to gamble but to delve into the intricacies of the game, seeking to understand its allure and the psychological warfare that unfolded with each card drawn. Her approach was methodical, her gaze analyzing the players, their strategies, and the ebb and flow of fortune that dictated the game's rhythm.

A nearby alien, intrigued by Zorya's intense scrutiny, leaned over. "New to sabacc, huh?" it queried in a voice tinged with amusement. "It's all about keeping your cards close and your emotions closer. The goal's to hit 23 or as near as possible without busting. Watch the shift. Cards change values. That's where the real skill lies." Zorya's eyes flickered with understanding, absorbing the explanation while her mind calculated the myriad possibilities such a game presented.

As the current game concluded, the dealer, noticing her interest, gestured to an empty chair. "Care to join the next round?" he asked, shuffling the deck with practiced ease. Zorya nodded, her silence an enigmatic response as she gracefully took the offered seat. She placed her hands on the table, feeling the subtle vibrations of excitement and trepidation that permeated the air.

As she awaited the arrival of other players, Zorya's attention was momentarily diverted by the presence of a young Mandalorian attempting to blend into the background. Her Sith senses detected a distinct energy surrounding the individual, a fiery determination masked by a veneer of nonchalance. The Mandalorian's focus was not on the game but on something far more intangible.

Freddie walked into the casino, whistling a tune that he had known for years. He had a stash of credits on him today, and just hoped to have some fun and chill. That is what a casino is for, isn’t it? Walking through the doors and taking his first look around the casino, he took a moment to study the establishment. “Wow.” He said, taking another minute to study the casino.

As much as Freddie would love to stay in the casino for his entire life, the Order would not like his intentions, nor would his pockets. He walked on over to the first game, which seems relatively easy. Then he noticed some thing out of place. Though he could sense it, he didn’t know what.

I know what you sense. His mind told him. The gane is rigged, it’s a casino, goddammit. He walked away from the game, hoping to find something that may be less rigged.

He walked over to another game, where the goal appeared to be to get the number 23. He then noticed two people talking. A species he couldn’t recognise, and a Mandolorian. A Mando? He asked himself. It was not something he’d seen a lot, especially in a casino like this one. He decided to go ahead and talk to them anyways. Arriving, he decided to introduce himself with, “Heyyy…

Feifi's mind reached, focusing, she inhaled and exhaled, she took pains to hide her true nature, though to a woman like zorya(@Aberforth)?.. likely child's play if she wished to push further, feifis gaze, out of sheer happenstance, locked with zoryas for just a moment, before feifi looked away to refocus on her task..

she inhaled and exhaled once again, reaching out coyly to at least re - god.. damnit... can a girl not kriffing focus!?..

..was that a chat up line?.. feifi was tempted to kick him in the manhood just for that, but she managed to subdue her wrath, no use making a scene and getting thrown out of this join, would ruin her chance to master this.. she looked to the man, whoever the hell he was, lifting her hand into a palm to silence the kriffer before he began further to disrupt her practise.

"Copaani mirshmure'cye, vod? Not even if I was drunk, be'chaaj - away."

In the electrified ambiance of the casino, Zorya perceived the Mandalorian girl's mental probe. A novice's attempt at gauging emotions and intentions through the Force, it was like a ripple against Zorya's oceanic prowess. The exiled Sith Master discerned the girl's concealed identity, her determination and inexperience in equal measure. Zorya could have easily quelled this probing, exerting her superior telepathic strength, but she chose restraint. It was not the time to unveil her might or draw attention; staying hidden was her priority.

Her attention shifted to the unfolding interaction nearby. A man, exuding a relaxed air, approached the Mandalorian girl. Zorya's keen observation noted his casual demeanor, an odd contrast in this den of high stakes and sharp wits. The girl's response was swift and dismissive, a clear indication of her desire to be left undisturbed. Zorya perceived the underlying tension, the subtle dance of personalities and intentions.

Zorya, however, adeptly veiled her interest, turning her gaze back to the sabacc table. The dealer, witnessing the brewing altercation, interjected, his voice carrying a note of authority. "Will you be joining the game, or should I call security?" he asked the two strangers, his eyes shifting between them and the table. Zorya, seated calmly, appeared as just another player, her presence unobtrusive yet observant.

Freddie looked up from his legs, finally realising that the dealer was talking to him. Freddie also got the wits to speak up. “No sir, we’re just talking!” He said, with a smile. Then he went back to looking at the Mandolorian girl.

Freddie understood a fair share of Mando’a, but didn’t speak it. “Now now, we can calm down.” He said, then continued, “No need to get into a fight in a casino.” He smiled. The dealer was still eyeing the two, so Freddie just decided to walk away. “Well, I must go, I have games to play.” He said, walking away. He walked over to examine the game of Sabacc.

Perhaps he could learn something here. Possibly an easy game to play. He sat down, and watched the game begin.

fefi sighs, how annoying... some people.. she watches the annoying man walk away, before deciding to join the sabacc game, perfect chance for her to test the limit of what she could do, she had played a few sabacc games before, but she fully expected to lose a few or all of her spending credits today.

"sure, i'll play a round or two, do I need to remove the helmet or not?"

Freddie laughed at the comment, as he was no expert at the game. “Why don’t ya go and ask the dealer?” He said, raising an eyebrow at the dealer. “I’ve dealt with Mandolorians before, but none as persistent as you.” He said, not being able to keep a straight face. He grabbed a drink and took a sip.

Kriffin’ hell, what do they put in this stuff?” He asked, trying not to spit it out. He somehow managed to switch his attention to the Sabacc game, which seemed to be getting heated. At least, it seemed like it. It was more likely that these people were just drunk, not knowing what they were getting into. “Well, you gonna play or not?” He asked the Mandolorian.

In the opulent whirl of the Crescent Royale Casino, Zorya observed the interactions around her with a detached curiosity. The jovial blonde man, who had approached the Mandalorian girl with an air of casual bravado, now seemed focused on the Sabacc game. The Mandalorian, having shrugged off the man's advances with a blend of irritation and disinterest, had also turned her attention to the game. Zorya's own focus, however, never wavered from the Sabacc table before her.

As the dealer began distributing the cards, the rhythmic shuffling and dealing created a soothing cadence amidst the casino's cacophony. Zorya received her hand: Endurance, Mistress, and the numbered cards 5, 10, and 6. She contemplated her strategy; the Mistress card, valued at 13, was a strong asset, while the combination of Endurance could suggest a play of resilience. The numerical cards offered flexibility, but also unpredictability.

Her mind whirred with possibilities. One approach was to aim for a pure Sabacc, seeking a total as close to 23 as possible. Another, more daring strategy, might be to play the Endurance card, hinting at her tenacious spirit and long journey back from exile.

Opting for a blend of caution and boldness, Zorya silently played her Mistress card, pairing it with the 5 and 10 to create a strong base. She then gestured subtly towards the two newcomers, her movements deft and controlled, her eyes sharp beneath the dim casino lights. This was more than a mere game; it was a silent challenge, a test of skill and perception

“Therefore any cruelty has to be executed at once, so that the less it is tasted, the less it offends; while benefits must be dispensed little by little, so that they will be savored all the more.”

- Niccolò Machiavelli

The Crescent Royale Casino...

A perfect place to establish connections with wealthy patrons and intermingle with various sorts from the lowliest of scum to the high rollers of the Planet of Onderon. A horrific smell would waft through these opulent halls as some of the patrons began to gag as the putrid smoke filled their breathing apparatuses, such a smell could be traced back to a hookah pipe clutched within the giant maw of Kor'ferno Fa'athra; a small but growing crime lord who established himself within the Eastern Grime Region of Nal Hutta.

Influence and Power was the one thing that all their species craved; killing those who opposed them and guarding themselves from enemies striking around every corner. Kor'ferno was glad that the Empire and the Hutt Clans had signed a treaty.

Glancing around the Sabaac Table as various sorts moved into the game. Sabaac was a tricksters game and you could lose big quite quickly through either busting or generally getting a bad hand. Stroking the thick mustache across his features as the dealer handed out cards.

Rotten Luck...

A Commander worth 11 Points, along with a 4,5,6 numbered cards. To top it all off he had received a Queen of Air and Darkness worth only a measly -2. His only strategy now was to bluff his way to victory.

He played the commander card combining it with his 5 and 6. Wanting to know what the other players would do.

Amidst the gilded chaos of the Crescent Royale Casino, Zorya's keen senses detected the noxious aroma long before the others did. The stench, emanating from the hookah pipe of Kor'ferno Fa'athra, a burgeoning crime lord, permeated the air, leaving a trail of discomfort in its wake. Zorya, however, remained unfazed, her focus unswerving from the game at hand.

Kor'ferno, with his imposing presence and unmistakable aura of ruthlessness, joined the Sabacc table, drawing curious glances. His arrival added another layer to the already complex tapestry of players. In this game of deceit and fortune, his participation was a variable that Zorya acknowledged with a subtle nod, understanding the unspoken language of power and influence that resonated within beings like them.

As the dealer continued his work, Kor'ferno played his hand – a Commander combined with a 5 and 6, a bold move that suggested confidence or a bluff. Zorya, with her Mistress, 5, and 10, deliberated her next move. She could play defensively, holding onto her cards to see how the round unfolded, or she could take the initiative, challenging the newcomer's play and asserting her presence.

Choosing the latter, Zorya, with a fluid motion, placed her 5 and 10 alongside the Mistress. Her eyes, glowing with a subtle intensity, momentarily met Kor'ferno's. This was more than a mere card play; it was a statement, a silent declaration of her willingness to engage in this high-stakes dance of minds and fortunes.
