Looked a couple of the peeps were getting into an altercation of some sort. Klepti loved to see chaos, it was one of his favorite things to see. Aside from Prissca currently. The little Jawa would be relaxing on a beach chair by the pool shifting his eyes back forth from Prissca to the Boy and Mandalorian. Tough decision to make with what he wanted to focus on but of course in the end a fight always more entertaining. So he would look at Prissca instead, knowing all too well everyone else would be watching the dispute. It was the perfect plan.

"Tagwa niuta!"
(Yes please!)

He may have been rubber necking a little bit, but hey, a beautiful girl looking that good at a pool? How could he not enjoy the view? She was definitely the type of girl he wanted in his music video for the song "Got game" that was debuting on his album. She was definitely the right look, figure, age. She had everything he needed for it. Just might need to offer her the job.

The voting and all went as smoothly as possible for any activity on the reality holonet. It was really too bad for Jazz and Jimi. They had seemed like good company. There had been a few very intentional glances (or lack thereof), but no blasters were draw (not that they had any), and no mimosas were thrown. Therefore, in the Twi’leks eyes, it was a win. She had always dreamed of high society, of going to the club dripping in tastefully chosen jewels, having some fun, lounging in a pillow-soft bed, but if this were any indication of the type of people who occupied the upper circles, she might have to increase her emergency killing quota from two a quarter to two a month. The drama was lovely, but what was the point of drama if there was no one to share it with who wouldn’t promptly turn a heel and stab her in the back. Perhaps Preef would have advice on such things.

At the mandalorian’s approach, Pidge rose and stretched. “My deepest apologies.” It was clear her apologies were roughly as deep as the shallow end of the pool she had been sunning by. “But even a mighty mandalorian wouldn’t dare touch a hair on the head of Pidgelle Batana. Where on earth would you get your entirely legal modified tech from. Surely you haven’t found another girl?”

In mock outrage, she turned to the man who had been not-so-subtly eyeing her. “Sure thing.”

A moment later, Pidge reappeared, drink in hand, only to find Gram and Tal-Nakadr face to face and her customer looking on. Leaning in close enough to be in earshot, she handed the drink to Laeo. “You’re welcome, but you owe me one.” The tone was lightened by Pidge’s trademark wink, but she was mostly serious. Little did the man know that he had just traded a drink for a signing up as a syndicate contact. After all, Pidge was really more of an opportunist that a criminal.

“That's a lovely tune, Mr. Alasdaire.” Prissca would compliment the hallikset-playing, offering him a smile at the comment he sent her way before turning away from him and the other contestants and bending over at the waist, using the slim fingers of one hand to untie the straps to her high heels. She couldn't rightly swim in shoes, now could she? Nor could she set down the delectable drink she held in her other hand. Bit by bit though, she managed to free her legs one by one and stepped out of her heels, straightening up and scooting them both beneath the sun chair she intended to use with a tattooed foot.

The only question was if she'd been pandering to the audience or to her fellow contestants with that generous view of her rear end.

At the sound of the jawa's voice, her expression would sour just a bit. She was still sore about his lies the other night. Taking the last sip of her refreshingly tropical beverage, the noblewoman would set it down on the servant's tray and take her towel, unrolling it roughly with a 'crack' before spreading it out over her chosen place to recline.

“Not you, dear. You've upset me with your lies.” She replied to him without looking his direction, one hand resting on her chest as she shook her head in a disapproving manner. She was absolutely still agitated by his attempt to lie his way into sharing a room with her, an unforgivable action that could've ended poorly for both of them, but there was much less heat behind her words now than there would have been the night before – had she not stormed off like she had. It'd taken every ounce of her self-control not to call up the Force to scorch the little robed creature into dust yesterday. Luckily for him, and everyone else on the set, she was in a much better mood this morning. “You'll have to re-earn my trust, little man.”

Stepping over to the edge of the pool, the blonde stretched out one shapely leg to test the temperature of the water with her big toe. Satisfied, she would move to sit on the edge, slipping one leg at a time into the cool water with a smile. Again, she would address the other contestants, being sure to give each camera that spun around her a playful smile and a snapshot of her biting her lip before sliding the rest of her body down into the water and letting out a delighted gasp.

“Well, do come in. The water is quite fine!”

...disrespect for his people?

What was the mandalorian on about? Had Laeonas just violated some cultural taboo he didn't even know of? Thinking back, he ran over all the actions he'd taken around the man. He'd slaughtered the AMS victims on that dockyard, and sometimes he'd given him the cold shoulder. But... what had he done this time around?

Taking the twi'lek's drink, he gave her the fakest smile he'd ever provided. He didn't even bother with a straw, gulping the nectar down his gullet way to quickly to be healthy. He needed to calm down and think, and if booze would be what calmed him, he didn't care. It was always his feelings over his faculties that changed first, and he doubted that would start changing.

Perhaps vomiting out drinks was against their culture? No, everyone had done that. Unless Tal was making the rounds to all of them, but he doubted that. He'd spoken to the shaggy man next to him in a cordial manner, and it sounded like he was still trying to sleep with the twi'lek girl. Laeonas hadn't even began to register the implications of the shaggy guy knowing that he was a force user, but that wasn't in his mind right now.

Perhaps the Mandalorians believed in respecting women? Laeonas' comment towards Prissca had been rude... but the woman was arrogant, and she'd replied by exposing how jealous she was of how good he looked. Laeonas wasn't going to back off of that point if it came up... but as he thought for more than 6 seconds, he realized it never would.

Looking at the man in armor, he could still feel his heart, beating like a drum in his chest. What was he to do? Staring at the black beskar, he couldn't think of anything. Was the reason actually standing right in front of him, but he was just to foolish to see it? What could he have that this man...

...Laeonas paused, and his gaze narrowed at the Mando, unable to see what was behind that visor.
"...do ya know what Ai 'ad ta do ta get mae 'ands on th'at?" He whispered, leaning forward. "Ai killed fer those bars, Mandalorian. Left a woman-- A Sith, rotten as she was, ta die-- so Ai could run off with em." He whispered, again, taking a step closer. Any demeanor of submission or respect had evaporated. There were plenty of things he'd sacrifice in the face of imminent danger... but the beskar wasn't one of them.

"Ya want it? Do what everyone else does, and pay me." He grunted, glancing over at the pool. The noblewoman that had been jealous of his looks was now inviting everyone to take a swim. He... didn't know how, but that wouldn't stop him. He looked better than the woman did in makeup, and he'd look better in the water than she did as well.

Without a word, he pulled off the badly fitting red top, revealing a
tight fitting black v-neck beneath. Tossing off his boots, he shimmied out of his pants... and revealed a pair of underwear that really didn't leave much to the imagination. most of the scar's were along his lower abdomen and pecs, with only a few cuts or carbon marks along his thighs and calves, or along his arms. Passing the men, he took a step in the water-- and pulled back immediately. "SHITE, that's COLD!" He loudly cursed, pulling back. "...can someone 'eat this up?!" He loudly requested, before dipping his toes back in.

Tal would laugh at Pidge. "Well, it's a good thing you don't have hair on your head, now isn't it? Nothing to touch." his stance was relaxed and tone light. "Besides, I'm far too loyal. I don't go shopping around for other girls. And even if I did, naturally I'd have to kill them just on principle of them edging your turf. Now go win your money, I'm betting on you over the high brow broad."

Tal would look at Laeo, the boy had found his spine. So the Mandalorian would lean in close, his voice low enough so only he could hear. "In my youth, I would have killed you in the worst way imaginable, kid. Slow deaths are my favorite, dragged out over the course of days, and I can be... very creative." He'd pat his shoulder. "But, I kinda like your spunk and the killing, luckily for you, isn't my first choice anymore. You left a Sith to die.. but you wouldn't even fathom what I would do for those bars.. Or, what kin of mine would do if the word was set out on the street. So, here are the options, since you want to have this talk now." The hand on his shoulder would give him a firm squeeze. "There's the bold option of you joining, to actually earn it. There's payment, or.. I take them. Now, I am sure you love life itself, so you'll take the money. You want the offer number, tonight. I'll find you." The grip would loosen, and throughout the whole exchange, Tal would keep his voice its usual tone. "Have fun with the ladies and watch out for Pidge, she'll rob ya blind."

Magnum, however, had been lounging near the pool. The interns would be waving palm trees over him to both shield him from the sun as well as fan him. In his hands was perhaps the largest margarita ever to be made. It was hard work after all, being an announcer. But the contestants had finally made it out to the pool and the aqua fun had begun.

His slick shades would drift briefly from one contestant to the next as he silently judged their attire. He himself, was currently in tanning oil and his favorite swim suit: a banana hammock. He was surprisingly chiseled with a few tattoos that were faded and he bore a surprising amount of scars for an announcer.

His judgement, however, would end in quite the laugh as "Taeo" shrieked from the temperature of the water. The young man was shaping up to be quite the drama queen and if he didn't win the competition, Magnum saw him having a future in drama. Once all contestants were in the water, Rich would clap for their attention. "Ladies and gents! You have earned a few hours of pool time but then we have work to do! The local governor has asked us to visit a childrens hospital. So enjoy yourselves and then put on your best selves!"

It took Laeonas several minutes to shimmy his way into the water. He tried to ignore the amused laughter of their host. Hopefully, his reaction would endear him to audiences, rather than alienate them. Gradually he grew acclimated to the cold temperatures, muscles tensing up and than relaxing. For someone who'd never swam before, he certainly took well to the water.

He didn't dare enter the deep end just yet, so for now, he simply stood chest deep in the shallow half, doing his best to look relaxed. The noble's bending act didn't very much impress him, but what came next was a neat distraction. He noticed what was... well, what he thought was going on with the Jawa and the noblewoman. He'd had a very vague understanding of what had happened before, but he hadn't cared enough to pay attention. It offered up a good distraction from his current situation though, so he decided to follow along.

The Mando's threat hadn't rattled the man as much as Laeonas thought it would. He'd initially been terrified of what Tal was trying to do... but after figuring out what, all fear in him had been excised within seconds. Mataou had been something that had changed the man on a fundamental level. He'd arrived a boy that simply wanted a pile of treasure, and it had been when he left that he realized the cost of his ambitions. If the Mandalorian wanted to take his prize from him, he would need to fight for it. That, or compensate Laeonas for the riches he'd be handing over.

There was an odd juxtaposition between his thoughts and the environment around him. Here he was, stewing over the possibility of fighting a beskar-clad warrior to the death, while sitting in a pool, surrounded by booze and scantily clad men and women. He had to maintain the appearance of calm and cool and fun, while internally considering how he had to deal with a life and death situation. This show was supposed to be an opportunity for him to have fun, and possibly score it big.

The force really did love screwing with him.

It was when the surprisingly chiseled host brought up their next destination that Laoeonas was able to disengage from the situation. He'd been hopping in and out to get drinks for the past hour, but now he could finally get out of there. Spotting the twi'lek one last time, he was about to go over and thank her again, before he remembered what the Mandalorian had said about her. He wasn't sure if he was just perturbed to not have her in his bed, but nevertheless, he'd simply give her a wave, and head off. He had to prepare himself for their next event.

Only mildly perturbed at the fake, sickly sweet smile she had gotten in return for making a drink, Pidge simply shrugged to herself. The people here were weird. Perhaps it was an unfortunate side effect of being a celebrity- after all, eccentricity payed off in the entertainment industry. So far the only moderately normal person was her roommate. Gram seemed to oscillate wildly between hopeless cynicism and romanticism, Tal was using an alias and taking part in some sort of under-the-table deal, Prissca was precisely as two faced as was expected, and Laeo looked like he was about to fight Tal over… something?! Then there was the jawa. Besides the fact that he was completely unintelligible and rather a tripping hazard, the audience seemed to love him.

The complicated web of relationships, chances of fame, and affiliations combined with the beating sun were beginning to give Pidge a headache. Diving into the deep end of the pool gracefully, she surfaced near the others. “This water is lovely. Have to be careful, though-“ she gave a pointed look at Prissca- “the chlorine can wreak havoc on one‘s complexion.”

——

Three hours later, the twi’lek emerged from her room an slacks, heels and a buttondown. Unlike most, she was excited at the thought of visiting the hospital. The past few days had been so unfamiliar that the smell of antiseptic and vomit would be homey. Thankfully she had packed non expensive clothes that cute babies and snotty toddlers could dirty as much as they liked. The most exciting part- watching the rest of the group trying to wrangle children.

To say that watching Laeonas strip down to what looked like an undershirt and his, gasp – underwear – was unsettling would be a massive understatement. Her disgust only grew as she watched him slip down into the same waters she was now wading in. Pale green eyes would shift from the skinny and offensive little man to the crew and their gracious host, her expression saying it all. Did they not have rules for this sort of thing? How could she possibly enjoy herself if she was being surrounded by such uncultured creatures as these?

Watching his reaction to the cold gave her some amusement, though. To make such a fuss over the temperature of the water when she found it rather refreshing herself gave her more than a small amount of pleasure. Served him right, at least in her view.

When Magnum raised his voice to get their attention, she turned her attention to him. She wasn't exactly excited to go visit peasants at some dirty little hospital for ankle-biters, but she would put on a smile and pretend to be happy about it. After all, she had to play up to the cameras to get the audience to love her – more than they already did, that is. “A wonderful idea, Mr. Magnum... I for one have always wanted to spend more time fund-raising for charities and children's hospitals.” She paused, offering a smile to the cameras and a suggestive slide of a finger from her chin down to the dip between her clavicles before speaking again, mostly to the cameras. “Shall we assume the hospital will be the backdrop of our next challenge?”

It wasn't long after that that the blue twi'lek dove into the deep end, grabbing Prissca's attention just long enough to offer an abrupt and insulting comment. She would receive a pointed glance in return – but only for a moment. Then the noblewoman would just smile again, climbing out of the pool and head over to her chair to tan. What was that for? Prissca had been nothing but nice to the Twi'lek woman, and this was the thanks she got? She even complimented her drink the night before! How unequivocally and irrationally rude to suddenly throw barbs her way with no good reason. She could understand the dark-haired painted man disliking her. They'd already crossed verbal swords. But this woman?

Only the undertones of her words carried the hint of anger that still boiled under surface, the sudden hatred that the woman had engendered in someone she could have called friend. Or at least ally. “Then do be careful, darling, I doubt you've taken the same precautions I have to stave off such unfortunate side effects.”

----------------------------------------------------

By the time it came time to change and prepare for the trip to the Children's Hospital, Prissca had drank more than a few deliciously alcoholic tropical drinks – to make sure she'd be pleasant around the little monsters they were about to visit. She'd also enjoyed a very soothing massage and caught enough sun to sport a very light tan. She would swing her strappy high heels over one shoulder and strut her way past the others that were still present to make her way back to her room. To get changed for a third time today. Which surprisingly enough wasn't unusual for her.

She would emerge again a short time later wearing black heels, a sleek knee-length tan dress that hugged her curves just right, and a posh little matching cape with gold buttons. She had a matching purse as well, because of course she did. As for her hair, it had been pulled up and away from her head and shoulders – and any small hands that might try to grab at it – for this trip, and into a tidy though understandably large bun, just a few hairs breaking free to soften the look into something just a bit more attractive.
